My Christmas wish

Dear Lord, please take Gloria Arroyo out of Malacañang.

It would be good if during one of those moments when she said she talks to you, you would tell her to leave Malacañang to spare the Filipino people the insults that she has been inflicting on us since she grabbed the presidency in January 2001.

The insults have taken bizarre twists the past months with the re-appearance of former Comelec Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano, who told the nation that the whole five months that he could not be found, he was just around in the country.

Garcillano swore that he and Arroyo never conspired to thwart the will of the people in the 2004 elections. It was like telling all of us who listened to the Hello Garci tapes that we are hallucinating in thinking that we heard them talk about kidnapping an election officer who did not to cooperate with their scheme, about making sure that Arroyo win by at least one million votes, and seeing to it the figures in the election returns match with the tampered certificate of canvass.

Lord, if Arroyo continues to be in Malacañang, I’m worried what additional insults she would be foisting on the Filipino people. Last week, her Consultative Commission submitted the recommendation she wanted: scrapping of the 2007 elections so she can be assured of continued stay in Malacañang up to 2010. At least 2010. There’s no prohibition for her to continue staying in Malacañang after 2010.

Lord, she has destroyed our institutions, the foundations of our political system. I’m sad that I don’t feel I can trust anymore the Supreme Court with Artemio Panganiban as Supreme Court justice.

Whatever qualifications Panganiban possesses, they are scratched out by the fact that he was the one who convinced then Chief Justice Hilario Davide to swear Arroyo into office on Jan. 20, 2001, even if there was no vacancy in the presidency, in violation of the Constitution which he is supposed to uphold.

Panganiban in the Supreme Court is the same as Merceditas Gutierrez, good friend of Mike Arroyo, as Ombudsman.

I no longer count on the Supreme Court and the Ombudsman to provide the check and balance to the presidency. They are now lumped together with Benjamin Abalos inutil Commission on Elections and Joe de Venecia’s fawning House of Representatives.

With E.O. 464, Arroyo has castrated the Senate, the remaining institution where majority of its members have refused to be her lapdogs.

Lord, as she continues to lose the trust of Filipinos, she is intensifying her offensive. I don’t know how much more our people can take.

While people can still be rational, I’d like to have an election where we can choose who will lead us. As suggested by Sen. Aquilino Pimentel and followed up later by the Black and White Movement, a special election can be held with Senate President Franklin Drilon as government overseer.

Whoever will win, I will support.

Dear Lord, I almost forgot Vice President Noli de Castro. Please make him resign. He has been given his chance as an alternative to Arroyo but he chose to cast his lot for one who has no regard for the law and the Constitution.

I will continue to keep the faith. Thank you.

Amen! Tabako should drop her like a rotten patatas.

  2. Are we seeing a quarrel among thieves? That’s good so that the farmer gets back his cow.

  3. Lion Lion

Let us stop this never ending GLORIA story..Let`s focus in our economy and help the government in her plan to boom our country.
    Nakakasawa na….

  4. jonas jonas

No, no, no we cannot focus on economy or everything else until we settle whether the one residing in Malacanang is fake or not.

Magsawa na ang magsawa basta huwag lang tayong mandaya!

We shouldn’t stop until we met our objectives.
To free us from this poverty, crisis and misrule
    by the EVIL-GLORIA !!!

We cannot move forward with a LEADER whom WE
CANNOT TRUST, because of so many reasons…

  6. Lion Lion

But how Jhonas? give me an example, Sunugin ang Malacanang? Assasinate GLORIA? or let her melt from her kasinungalingan as all of you said.
    HOW?

  7. Jon Jon

Hey Lion, if your both your legs are gangrened are you going to let it kill you? If you don’t know how or don’t want to cut it yourself, let others do it for you. But you know it has to be taken off.

I know that Gloria is bad for the Philippines. I don’t know how to “cut” for off. But I know that she got to go.

Lion, if liars, cheaters and thieves are okay with you, maybe you are one of them.

  9. statement of Rep. Roilo Golez:

There is now a groundswell against No-el with FVR’s very strong statement and warning against it. The public, no doubt, is against it. No-el is now careening into the dustbin of history where such an indecent proposal belongs.

Until now, I cannot believe the Concom would have the temerity to make such proposal to have 30 puppet MPs, obviously taking the people for fools.

    Lion,

Let’s continue to ask her about her role the Garci tapes. She will continue to refuse of course but so be it. Let us not allow her to abandon her duty to be truthful with the people she vowed to serve in all honesty and dedication. If she really cannot account for it, let’s continue to ask for her resignation. A leader who cannot be straight and honest to her people has no business staying even for a second in Malacanang.

Ellen, I regard you quite highly and I also want GMA out of Malacanang soonest, so when I disagree please take it lightly. I know you are being desperate, but please do not cheapen prayer as you did in your column. Do not ask God for something that is personally against a person. You see, He loves each and everyone, sinners included, especially sinners in fact. Rom 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
It is also not right to wish some things bad to happen to a person. Vengeance belongs to God.. Isa 34:8 “For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause.”
For two straight EDSAs people took matters in their own hands in order to make things better. THINGS BECAME WORSE. Now it is time for us to let GOD take matters in His own Holy hands. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

BFronq says: “Vengeance belongs to God.. Isa 34:8 “For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause.”

I do not believe in your “vengeful God,” BFRonq. I’d rather believe in the God of Jesus “who loves you (and me and everybody) with an everlasting love.” Everlasting means all the time and forever. . . meaning that there will never be a time, not even a split second, for vengeance.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Lion asks: how? I tell you that gloria would have wished she were physically crucified upside down like Mussolini. The way it is going is fine with me. We will crucify her in the gallows of public opinion- hold her up to pillory while we can, expose her gut every inch of the way from four days after taking over from erap by signing the IMPSA deal, to plundering the treasury for her election campaign, to BAYAD-UTANG for Panganiban and everything in between. There is a constant tightening of the noose around her neck every move she makes, and soon she will just perish like an insect caught on flypaper.

  15. bfronquillo bfronquillo

ATONGkul says that there will “not even (be) a split second, for vengeance because Jesus loves everybody”. Precisely po, Jesus Christ is a God of love but is also a JUST GOD. The God who permitted Job to suffer sickness and deprivation is also the Jesus who said we should love our enemies. The God who destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah with fire is also the Jesus who commanded Lazarus to rise up from the dead. The God who sent His angels of death to kill all the Egyptian firstborns is also the same Jesus who “while we were still sinners died for us” so that we can have eternal life. The God who condemned all sinners to eternal fire in hell is the same Jesus who gave His life so that we can enter the KINGDOM OF GOD. Yes, He is a God of love. But He is also a JUST God, who punishes.
Not even a “single moment of vengeance”? Oh, Yeah? Why then did Jesus say in Matthew 8:11-12:
“11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. KJV” A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

  16. Atong Kuliglig Atong Kuliglig

Sorry, hindi ko alam na nagsisinungaling pala si Jesus noong sabihin niya na: God loves you with an everlasting love. My mistake. He he he . . .

  17. Clarification: Hindi ko hinihingi sa Panginoon na “kunin na” si Gloria Arroyo. Just to take her out of Malacañang. Where he will put her, bahala na siya. He can send her out of the country like Marcos. or he can put her in jail like what she did to Estrada.

It was you, the filipino people, who put gloria pidal in the palace. Hence no one else can throw her out but you. God will never lift a finger to solve your problems. He’ll probably show you the way to do it but I doubt if you people can see it since majority of you are blinded by money, promises, etc… specially during elections. Guys, it looks like your prayers are misdirected. Instead of praying for her ouster, why not pray for the enlightenment of the filipino people? With an awaken populace, everything else will follow…..

I wish PGMA to stay in Malacanang until 2010 so that she can finish the job that was assigned to her by majority. god bless PGMA, the malacannag and the entire country.
