Sige, sige dapat i-encourage pa si Sen. Lito Lapid na tumakbo para mayor ng Makati sa 2007 eleksyon.
Sinabi ni Lapid na sinabihan raw siya ni Mike Arroyo, asawa ni Gloria Arroyo, na tumakbo para mayor sa Makati. Sumunod naman si Lapid kaya titira na raw siya sa Makati para maging qualified siya sa laban na pina-plano ni Mike Arroyo.
Dito pa lang makikita na ang pakay ni Lapid sa pagtakbo sa Makati ay hindi naman talaga para maserbisyuhan ng mas maganda ang mga taga-Makati kungdi para matulungan si Mike Arroyo sa kanyang planong sirain si Binay.
Bakit ba matindi ang galit ni Mike Arroyo kay Binay?
Alam natin na halos lahat na mga local officials sa buong bansa, kasama na ang Metro Manila ay madali ni Gloria at Mike Arroyo kumbinsihin na maging kakampi nila. Sila ang may hawak ng kaban ng bayan.
Ngunit matigas ang paninindigan ni Binay kasama si San Juan Mayor JV Ejercito. Kaya hindi nila mapapahinto ang mga rally, kahit noong pinapairal nila ang labag sa Constitution na Calibrated Pre-emptive Response.
Ang Makati ang sentro ng negosyo. Nandoon ang maraming mga taga-ibang bansa. Kaya ngit-ngit na ngit-ngit sina Arroyo.
Natatawa si Binay sa pakana ni Mike na ilaban si Lapid sa kanya. Sabi niya, “Ano ito, proxy war? Bakit hindi ang talagang may gusto mag-kontrol ng Makati ang tumakbo?
Oo nga naman, bakit hindi mismo si Mike Arroyo ang tumakbo? Bakit alam ba niyang sinusuka na siya at ang kanyang asawa ng taumbayan?
Ito naman si Lapid, parang uto-uto. Sunod na sunod kung ano ang utos ng mga Arroyo.
Matindi ang organisasyon pampulitika ni Binay sa Makati. Paano naman kasi libre mula pagkabata hanggang sa mamatay ang mga mahihirap na taga-Makati. Libre pag-aaral, libre ospital. Kahit hindi perfect si Binay bilang mayor, nakikita naman kasi ang paglago ng Makati. Kaya lahat na congressman, kaalyado niya. Sina Butch Aquino at Teddy Locsin. Lahat yan nanalo dahil sa organisasyon ni Binay.
Noong natapos ni Binay ang kanyang tatlong term, pinatakbo niya ang kanyang asawa, panalo rin. Parang hinawakan lang ni Mrs. Binay ang pwesto habang pwede ulit maging mayor si Jojo.
Ngunit mabuti kung itutuloy nina Mike Arroyo at Lito Lapid ang kanilang plano.
Sige, Lito, takbo sa Makati. Para ka matalo. Para na ring sampal yan kay Mike Arroyo.

Hope Binay gives Pidal-Arroyo a thorough licking and in the process, he’ll give Lito Lapid a hard kick in the butt.
Lapid mustn’t be allowed an inch of territory in Makati. Senator? Bah! Senator Tanga!
We should encourage that for our entertainment.
Makati residents are intelligent enough and will continue supporting Mayor Binay’s governance. Nano’s motive in “ordering” Lito Lapid through the Fat Guy to run against the incumbent is plain and simple – “TANGGALIN ANG ISA SA MGA TINIK SA KANYANG DAAN!”
I say this – 2007 local election will be a litmus test for the voting public in Makati whether they will choose continued progress for voting Mayor Binay or back to the old ages for choosing Lito Lapid.
Nano’s politics is getting dirtier and dirtier in her continued stay in the palace.
Binay vs. Lapid.. what is this a cockfight? Now who is the “mayroon” and who is “wala”. But remember even in cockfighting there is a lot of cheating. So do not under estiminate the party who has the larger purse to bribe the “referee”, that even a dead roster can end a winner over an unwounded one. And the endless arguments follow, and another funds to settle them out.

Lito Lapid has the freedom to run, so let him. His senate win probably made him believe in himself a little more. He’s not for Pampanga only, but for Makati too!
Of course, the majority of the people of Makati will reject him.
Which sector will support him? The ones who are astounded by his performance in the senate?
Would Lapid jump in the lake if Pidal tells him too? What would he do in Makati where most multi-national companies are located. For sure he would need a horde of interpreters to deal with these executives. Senador ka na, gusto mo pang bumaba sa pagka mayor. If he does run, bobo na talaga siya.
Kung matino ang mga taga-Makati they will not vote for somebody who is a puppet of Malacanang. Imagine, inutusang tumakbo against Binay sumunod naman. Kapag nanalo ‘yang si Lapid kahit ano’ng gusto ni Gloria at Mike sa Makati magagawa nila. Pwede nilang ideklarang Siyudad ng mga walang bayag ang Makati.

I have served in the SK in district 2 while in College and indeed i have experienced the best years of my introductory course to politics under Binay’s efficient management. This makes sense. Fat Guy knows that Lapid has no chance against Binay on level playing fair field, so it is very transparent that Fat Guy is up to something fishy and messy if need be. Arroyo has got the track record of massive cheating nationwide. It will be walk in the park cheating Makatiwide. I have this creepy feeling that this contest might yet spark the flames of upheaval nationwide.
Someone with access to Mike Arroyo told me that it was he, Mike who really wanted to run against Binay. But he was told,”mahirap.”
With Lapid, they feel, they have a win-win situation. They can cheat, and it’s Lapid who is in the frontline. As usual mike arroyo, through his spokesman jess santos, will say, “we have nothing to do with that. nananahimik naman si FG.”
On the part of Lapid, he will be a sure winner in the sense na kikita. It would not be cheap. Even if he loses, he can go can go back to the Senate. He would still have three more years as senator.
Paglalaruan lang nila ang Makati, with the people’s money.
