Who said it was in the Arroyos’ name?

I have not cheated anyone of his vote, I have not diverted a single centavo of money of the people to my pockets, and I drive myself to the limits of my strength working to earn an honest living.

Like many honest, trustworthy and hardworking Filipinos, I admire Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano for exposing bank account No. 87570-23030-32100-6271-571 in Hypo-und Vereinsbank in Munich, Germany which international investigating agencies have been keeping an eye on since 2002.

The huge sums going to this account has been credited to a person who is said to be part of the government armed agency and is known to be close to a person belonging to the most powerful family in the country today.

So Gloria Arroyo’s statement that “honest, trustworthy and hardworking Filipinos” are “smeared and libeled” and their dignity “assaulted by gossip and intrigue,” referring to the expose of ill-gotten wealth stashed in a German bank, is off the mark. It’s false.

In the first place, what Cayetano said is NOT gossip and intrigue. It has a paper trail and it will be made public in due time.

In a press appearance just to deliver a statement but refusing to answer questions, Arroyo said Hypo-und Vereinsbank in Munich has officially cleared her and her spouse Jose Miguel Arroyo.

Arroyo, accompanied by his lawyer Jesus Santos , went to Munich last week ago to get a certification from the bank.

At that press gathering in Malacañang last Monday, Arroyo distributed copies of the letters dated Aug. 30 from bank general secretary Evi Hollman and compliance officer Dr. Klaus-Michael Ploss to the Arroyo couple.

Hollmann and Ploss wrote that there were no account numbers 87-570-23030-32100-62771571 and under the 87570-23030-32100-6271-571 name of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

In a separate letter to Mr. Arroyo, the bank officials said there were no account numbers 87-570-23030-32100-62771571 and 87-570-23030-32100-6271571 under the name of Mr. Jose Miguel T. Arroyo.

Whoever said that the accounts were in their name? Cayetano never did because he knows it’s neither in the name of Gloria Arroyo nor Mike Arroyo.

That certification is nothing. Everybody knows they are not lacking in expert advice how to stash their ill-gotten wealth in ways that the Filipino people would be hard put to trace.

It’s funny how Gloria and Mike Arroyo got so heated up with that information on that bank account in Germany. As far as I can remember, Cayetano said that inside those seven boxes of evidence that were supposed to have been presented had the impeachment complaint against Arroyo pushed through are documents showing a secret bank account in Germany.

Asked by a radio reporter owns the bank account, Cayetano said it belongs to a person close to “an immediate member” of a powerful personality.

Asked who that person is, Cayetano posed a question to the reporter, “Who is the subject of impeachment?”

Reporters concluded it was Gloria Arroyo and her family. With all the reported scams that Malacañang is trying hard to suppress, it’s not difficult for the public to believe that the Arroyos have ill-gotten wealth stashed in foreign banks.

As Cayetano said, we will know the truth if Malacañang allows the presentation of evidence against Arroyo in an impeachment trial.

Rep. Cayetano, who I commend for a job well done, was able to SMOKE OUT the PIDALS! HA HA HA, The PIDALS were so nerrrrrrvous, that they reacted much too soon!

That is what I had thought from Day 1 when Rep. Cayetano made public that there was a “secret bank account in Germany.” Yes, Rep. Cayetano did NOT mention whose it was; he did not name names. It should be clearer now why the PIDALS are edgy and jumpy about this. Strange why they reacted quite fast on this, as oppose to, say, the “Hello…Garci” tapes. It took Mrs. PIDAL awhile to say her now-infamous, “I am sorry” sh*t.

Maybe someone like Nonong Cruz would know…I wonder.

  2. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

It sure seems like the Pidals will have mud all over their faces. Yes, Cong. Cayetano, as far as I can recall, never mentioned that the accounts were in the names of the Pasig family. So he knew it was in somebody else’s name or names. Cayetano is not baring everything he knows…till later, at a proper forum.

And if this account has been monitored by international investigating agencies since 2002, there’s a lot of damaging info there which has been willingly shared with the Philippine opposition with the intention of pinning down whoever is the beneficial owner of this account.

  3. norpil norpil

it will be much easier for the filipinos if these leaders are not only honest but also not so dramatic.

  4. Chabeli Chabeli

With the Pidals’ reaction to Rep. Cayetano, they’re falling apart. As far as I’m concerned, it’s finished for the PIDALS. They are HAS-BEENS CLINGING ON TO POWER! It’s over except for the burial.

I’m for people’initiative to open the seven boxes of evidence. Why not, if fake Gloria can do a cha-cha govt initiative on behalf of the people, so can we, the people. Lets start gathering signatures to open the boxes. This might be the smoking gun that we’ve been looking for that can put a stop to illegal power, just might be, if Rep. Alan did his homework. I never doubt Rep Alan, I believe he’s very sincere person. He knows what are the stakes, the important of kicking Gloria out of our house and what could happen to him, the physical harm to him and his family. Yet, Alan is brave enough to bring it to open and exposed the Arroyos hidden $$ in Germany. Can you imagine, illegitimately head of the State don’t even trust the Philippines Bank. What a crooked mind!

You got my signature to start the ball rolling.

  6. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Does Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano have what it take? I guess, inevitably we’ll soon find out. How many that came forward only be dissapointed, and bogus Gloria still in our house.

“Ich bin nicht traurig”- “I am not sorry”. Rep. Alan Cayetano. I just am wondering why Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) has not taken action on alleged ill-gotten wealth and money laundering activities of the First Family. What proof or evidence they need before they (AMLC) act? Rep. Alan Cayetano has the bank name and account to start with the investigation of alleged dirty money. Paper trails may be traced back in front of Malacanang Palace door.

    Philippines AMLC http://www.amlc.gov.ph/
    Vision
To be a world-class financial intelligence unit that will help establish and maintain an internationally compliant and effective anti-money laundering regime which will provide the Filipino people with a sound, dynamic and strong financial system in an environment conducive to the promotion of social justice, political stability and sustainable economic growth. I hope Representative Alan Peter Cayetano’s fight will not loose steam. This is not only his fight. It is the fight of all loving Filipinos who’s seeking for the truth. I agree with Toney Cuevas, the contents of these seven boxes might be the smoking gun that all of us has been waiting for.

We heard enough of the lies and deceit of the bogus president.

GO FOR IT ALAN – I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ENDEAVOR! DON’T DISAPPOINT OUR CHILDREN.

  9. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

Hail to Rep. Cayetano!!! Yes, this is not only his fight but all Filipinos. We should all rally behind him! He could be holding the KEY to Pandora’s box.
I’ll be offering special prayers for you Rep. Allan! We need more brave men like you!

  10. Tom Tom

These people are way beyond shame. If some of you still think you can oust this “president” by exposing her own and her family’s sins, I have a bridge I want to sell you.

the alleged arroyo secret bank deposits in germany have all the shades of marcos secret deposits in switzerland which up to now the filipino people have managed to scratch only a thin layer of its surface. barya-barya lang ang nabawi after more than 20 years and yet of the total amount so far recovered, probably half of that lined someone’s pocket again.

after arroyo’s term in malacañang, we will have PCGG Part II to hound them at the start. but i bet, after another decade or two, we will see its commissioners partying and waltzing with the arroyos as they cook another deal. another sell out in the near future. abangan!

  12. Tedans Tedans

Sabi ni Bunye kay Mr. Cayetano “It’s never too late to right a wrong”. Bakit kaya doon sa mga kasalanan ni Arroyo ay “IT’S TOO LATE TO RIGHT A WRONG” na ba?

  13. The point is why are Filipinos, especially those sitting in the government, allow this Ale Boba to get her way the way she reportedly did when she wanted to get something from her parents who spoiled her that not even her father’s children by his first wife could do anything but give in to her wiles and whims.

Golly, why is this crook being allowed to do that? She is in fact asking trillions of pesos in project (kuno) even when the country’s treasury is looted dry. There is even a rumor that the oil spill at Guimaras was delivered done to force the United Nations Organizations to release funds free of charge and interest for cleaning up the mess that this stupid woman has ordered cleaned up by hairs and feathers she was told the best way to economize and instead of using the 16M-dollar fund the UN has promised, she can allegedly stash such fund likewise in some foreign banks disguised as government account at first and then change to some private name.

BTW, I got a note from a friend regarding Jose Abueva’s response to some criticism to his attempt to help the Ale Boba fulfill her ambition to become queen. Gosh, how can this man, who is supposed to be brilliant in the head, could be as corrupt as these crooks who say that the Ale Boba legitimately won the election in 2004 when everybody knows that she cheated as when she admitted that she called up Garcillano to insure that she could get the 1M votes he promised to make for her!!! Tangna, where is the wisdom of this idiot?

What a corrupt generation of Filipinos! Nakakaawang bansa!

  16. goldenlion goldenlion

I wish Cong. Cayetano will not back out from the issue.

Cayetano. Bakit, me reputasyon pa ba sila???

  17. TongueInAnew TongueInAnew

Not even the more scandalous, more below-the-belt Pidal episodes had the First Gentlepig answering the accusations, not even the Mahal-na-Doña herself. I heard Fatso’s lawyer saying on radio “kung sino man ang nag-uudyok o nagbibigay ng impormasyon kay Cong. Cayetano ay ipinapahamak lang siya”, hinting on the involvement, perhaps, of relentless arch-enemy Ping Lacson, or the Estradas.

Before we make any conclusions, let me share a little backgrounder. Whoever says that transactions in banks, especially in the West or Europe, are strictly guarded, does not know much.

The Brussels-based SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) links about 7,800 banks and brokerages, the Philippines included, and handles billions of transactions a year. For years, it had resisted investigators who wanted access to the huge database to hunt down big time racketeers, kleptocrats, money launderers, the like. Until 9/11 came.

The recent furor over the revelations in a New York Times article exposing the CIA/Treasury Dept. secret program that led to the arrest of 2002 Bali bomber, Riduan Isamuddin Hambali by giving the CIA access to SWIFT records after Bush invoked the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, has broken wide open the myth of total bank secrecy. Aided by the US Patriot Act which targeted Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), agencies like Financial Action Task Force (FATF) which blacklists non-complying countries such as the Philippines, US Treasury Dept.’s Office for Foreign Assets Control (USTD-OFAC) and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (USTD–FinCEN) and other agencies in Europe (as named by Ellen in a previous thread), the once-sacred and impermeable confidentiality of bank accounts and transactions is now mere history.

All these notwithstanding, the criminals still find creative ways to circumvent all roadblocks by means of layering, low-value multiple transactions, diverse delivery channels, usually implemented in conventional checking or savings accounts. Or the more sophisticated, more expensive route of creating shell transactions by inexistent firms and individuals that is much harder, but not impossible, to detect.

What am I saying here? Alan Cayetano’s exposé, could go either way – a whale or a wind-up. Our very own Bonnie and Clyde pair will surely not have “secret” accounts in their own names, as they think all Pinoys are Simpletons that will believe that crap. I’m not even considering that it’s in the name of Nonong Cruz or The Cousin Pancho Villaraza or Pancho’s The Firm. The world’s king of boiler-room (stock market fraud), Pinoy Ding Pastrana who built a $6 billion empire at the age of 31, even bought a bank in Vienna to launder his money. This former McDonald crew member never even thought of putting his own name in any of his transactions, how much more this couple who are said to have graduated in Ivy League schools.

If such an account or accounts really exist, it would by now have been detected by US’ Treasury Dept. And if the money has left the German or Austrian or Swiss bank already, I have a feeling it’s now in circulation locally. Didn’t I predict the large dollar transactions after the impeachment murder? Look at the exchange rates!

The certification they have been showing media is nothing but unused toilet paper and a proof only of their last-ditch desperation shot at covering up what may be, as many have said here, the smoking gun.

The way information have been falling on our laps, whether volunteered by Lacson’s intel friends, or by Cayetano’s moles, or from the US embassy staff, speaks much of the abhorrence people have on this Criminal Couple and confirms that indeed, as Ellen headlined, THE NOOSE IS TIGHTENING.

  18. Sorry, this should read: “There is even a rumor that the oil spill at Guimaras was DELIBERATELY done to force the United Nations Organizations, ETC to release funds free of charge and interest for cleaning up the mess that this stupid woman has ordered cleaned up by hairs and feathers she was told the best way to economize instead of using the 16M-dollar fund the UN has promised SO she can allegedly stash such fund likewise in some foreign banks disguised as government account at first and then change to some private name.

I pity Rep. Cayetano because after just trying to expose something, now he is being subject for expulsion from the House and even be disbarred…

but you know what, i pity the government even more.. obvious na obvious na “nangba-braso” na sila just to make people ‘silent and blind’ about the very obvious acts-of-disrespect they are commiting against the Philippines and the Filipino people.

    May God save the Philippines….

  25. norpil norpil

As of this writing, poor Alan is being ganged upon by the gangsters in the House led by presidential son Mikey Arroyo.
A complaint was initiated and filed with the ethics committee to expel Cayetano. Gosh, many much more worse solons and politicians remain untouched despite their crimes; but they want this Cayetano be kicked out for telling the truth? Where’s the opposition? Where’s Cory’s group? Where’s CBCP? Where’s the Civil Society? Where’s the Hyatt 10? Where’s Pastor Boy Saycon? Where’s Abat, De Villa? Where are you people???

even a common-tao should show support to Cayetano…

I hope Rep Cayetano doesnt give up the fight. If we love our country, we should support Rep Cayetano in his quest for the truth, justice and good governance. Let us do this for the future of our country and our children. Macapagal and her cronies/puppets and gangsters in the government show us the dark side of our human nature. They are without shame. After 20 years of Marcos bad governance, now this? More than ever, this should make us more vigilant about corruption in the government. I am paying a lot myself in terms of VAT (12 percent)for my property in the Philippines and I feel angry about the thought that part of the hard earned money I am sending to the Philippines is being used by a Fake President towards enriching her family and her friends. Let us all unite and do something about this. Any bright ideas?

  34. Chabeli Chabeli

    Erichakuna,
You say, “Let us all unite and do something about this. Any bright ideas?” I have wondered, too, why there aren’t people going to the streets; many are complaining, but few are putting their words into action. I asked a man on the street (a cigarette vendor) if he was for Gloria, and he answered, “hindi po!” firmly. I asked him why don’t you go protest like the previous EDSAs, and he said that this government, through the anti-riot police, will physically hurt him, and put him into jail, and his family will have nothing to eat. I respect his answer.

Npongco is right to ask, “Where’s the opposition? Where’s Cory’s group? Where’s CBCP? Where’s the Civil Society? Where’s the Hyatt 10? Where’s Pastor Boy Saycon? Where’s Abat, De Villa? Where are you people???”

I had commented in a previous blog of Ms. Ellen that I have decided, as a start, to BOYCOTT COMPANIES THAT SUPPORT GLORIA. I will start by NOT banking with PNB or discourage sending remmittances through that bank, and not flying PAL…if I can’t go to the streets, I certainly can do it this way.

And although I may be one, and may not even make a dent
really, it will give me satisfaction that I am doing my share however small…who knows? Everything starts with a single step, right?

    BOYCOTT:
    1) PAL
    2) PNB
    3) UNION BANK
    4) Aboitiz Shipping Lines
    5) To Go (messenger service)

    Any more companies?

As I see it, Cayetano is playing his cards right. Keeping his cool, keeping the enemy guessing. He shouldn’t be tempted to publicly unmask his informer as I believe that the First Gentlepig is hoping for this guy to surface. And be “rescued” again!

Gloria’s opponents by this time have learned the ropes better and are keeping their cards close. Wala nang mapabaligtad sina Fatman and the Girl Wonder a.k.a.

  38. TongueInAnew TongueInAnew

With your indulgence, Ellen, and everyone else, let me express my unwavering support for my beleaguered Mayor, Peewee Trinidad, Vice Tony Calixto, and ten other councilors.

Tingan mo iyong dalawang college students from U.P., hindi pa nila inilalabas. Pity those two girls – imagine what can two young women do against armed goons in uniform.

I hope that whent the Philippine revolution happens, they will decapitate all these scumbags, stinkheads, shitheads in Malacanang led by this moral pangit and bugaw who styles herself as president including her baboy damo na asawang dambuhalang pangit!

  43. Bloggers,

One of those UP coeds is in fact in the family way. Hopefully, hindi iyan i-gang rape kundi patay iyan that I have a feeling iyan na nga ang ginawa sa kanila.

Chabeli, you bet! Boycott ko ang PAL. I won’t use it or sell it to my customers. PNB has a pending case with the authorities here and I am telling Filipinos here not to use it for their remittances. In short, I second the motion your suggestion to boycott all these corporations, etc. cooperating with the Ale Boba.

Give credit and praise to Cong. Cayetano for standing his ground on the all-out offense and attack of the mad devil couple in Malacanang, joined by Iggy (mukhang bankay sa picture doon sa Malaya) a.k.a Jose Pidal (kuno), son Mikey, the “Lion King” of jueteng lords and his gang of thieves in Tongress. I just find it very strange why nobody in the opposition, except for a few like Chiz is joining him in the fray. It seems that the threat of the fat guy made a very big impact, that anybody who talks about the German account will face him in court for libel. C’mon guys, whatever your reasons, bear in mind what you can do for the country. Personal reasons should be set aside, join the fun, as being enjoyed by Cayetano.
It’s no wonder why the Arrovos, Pidals, et al were at overdrive in their offensive, because, they know that the Cayetano expose is nothing but the truth. And what I admire most in his expose is he was too careful not to give any name of account holder and any name and clue on how he got hold of the information. That shows how he prepared himself for the inevitable. In a game of chess, you will call that a brilliant move. He is still holding some aces on his sleeves and when the right time comes- mayroon siyang pang-checkmate or pang-pusoy sa kalaban. The mad couple’s real target in harassing and suing him is for him to show all his cards in the table, unfortunately they are not gaining any ground and really frustrating them. Kilala naman niya yong style ng mag-asawang demonyo na kapag nagsabi siya ng pangalan, baka ipakidnap kay Little Mike Defensor kasama ang mga PSG, tapos na naman ang laban, panalo na naman sila, kaya he have to play it safe. Sa labanang ito, alam na natin na yong unang pumutak, yon ang nangitlog, now, the one who blinks first, yon ang talo and I bet, that will not be Cayetano

Now, I know that the reason why they made the police in the Philippines under the military is for the military to annihilate easily the people in case of mass action against such bogus president as the Ale Boba y de Primera Bugaw! The Fatso should not be allowed to act like Philipp of UK. At least, doon talagang reyna.

  46. No, Florry, akala mo lang hindi sila umaalma. The point is there is a news blackout at saka deliberate gagging. You should see how those fighting against this abusive bogus government has tried to beat literally bloodily and fatally in most cases those who would try to opposie the crooks from trying to declare herself queen and claim the whole Philippines as her personal property together with the ambitious Fatso.

Ikaw Cory by the Sea, sama ka ba? You don’t have to come to Tokyo. We can establish a long link from Okinawa to Hokkaido sa totoo lang.

PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA! IBAGSAK DIN SI DEMENTIA AT NOGRALES! TANGNA NILA!

I think talagang nagpa-panic na sila… and have you seen the photo-ops ni BABOY?.. may mga TV cameramen and reporters and one reporter asked him.. asking him why is he “so niosy” with allan and even wanted him to be expelled while with Lacson, he was very quiet and did not asked for his expulsin from the senate?.. you know what he replied..

  50. In order to post a comment, I have to alternate between 3 IDs, so sorry folks about that but I have a feeling that I’m not in the good graces of Gloria Macapagal’s bansot internet brigade…

  51. Emilio sent out pics of the moral bansot queen’s Secret Collection of Shoes featured in my blog.

Schumey was wondering if they could be her economic platforms (because the shoes have high heels!)

I followed up Schumey’s comment with “if she uses those horrid platform shoes, her stepping stone towards raising economic ambitions to a greater height, whole thing will be wobbly – matatapilok siya!

In any case, she exemplifies all that is putrid in governance. No high heels will elevate her status ever! She will remain a moral bansot all the time.”

I can tell you that she will not take that money to heaven. Iyong asawa niya, will be turned into a lechon baboy even before he goes to hell where he rightly belongs.

Duwag pa! Akala niya kaya niya lahat ng tao! E siya naman, baboy damo lang hiding behind the skirt of a moral bansot tadpole na asawa niya. Katapangan ba iyan? No! Kagaguhan lang.

Sige, Cong Cayetano! Go for the kill. Lechonin mo kaagad iyang magnanakaw na Mike Arroyong baboy na iyan!

  54. Norpil,

Palparan has a heavy chip on his shoulder because he feels so inferior to his colleagues – he’s not from the PMA and so decided to stand out by being a killer in uniform, a butcher of the worst category.

I hope he’ll be made to answer for his crimes against humanity.

    Hey Anna,

I would like to share you this one from Mark Mardell’s Europe diary

Speaking of which, the next most interesting booklet to plonk on my desk is a manifesto for an independent Flanders by a Flemish think tank, (Reflection Group “In de Warande”). Its basic argument is that the Flemish part of Belgium and the French-speaking part have grown further apart, not closer together, since the nation was formed in 1830.

Although it leans on statistics rather than abuse, the basic argument is that French-speaking Wallonia is pretty much an economic basket case, pulling Flanders down. The writers do at least conclude: “There is, as far as we know, no ‘genetic’ physical or other hard reason why the economic performance of Wallonia should persistently lag behind other regions of Europe.”

But the recommendation is that Belgium needs to be split into two independent nations within the EU, with Brussels jointly run by the new countries and the European Union itself. I look forward to discussing this with my Belgian friends.

Another fishing expedition by the opposition. Talagang wala kayong magawang magaling kundi intriga at tsismis. Ellen has suggested uploading the file at Youtube but the owner might object because of the big load. The file is about 2.86GB burnable in DVD disks. There is no restriction in downloading this file for the sake of truth and justice.

As the Scriptures say, “The truth shall make you free.” There is a passage in Micah that amply describes the reign of the Ale Boba, and how it will end. It is in the Old Testament in case you are not familiar with the Holy Scriptures.

    Jun:

It’s certainly time for you to educate yourself about the difference between real facts and fictions, imaginative creation of Gloria. It’s also be very helpful in your case to have an open mind to reality and understanding of the present condition of the Philippines under Gloria Arroyo. You might not accept all the truths, but it has been publicly certified that Gloria Arroyo’s government is the most corrupt ever in the history of the Philippines. Here are something for you to consider: 2001 Coup d’etat – when a Gloria as VP planned, plotted, joined and headed the mobs, Impsa, Piatco, Northrail over price contract, Macapagal Blvd. over price contract; 2004 National Election fraud, Garcilliano lying in Congress, Hello Garci dagdag/bawas, Joc Joc Bolante hiding under the skirt of USA, billions fertilizer scam supposedly to help our farmers, billions voting machines, recovered Stolen Marcos wealth, Jueteng, and these are only few of the many as you can understand.

Those who object against Gloria Arroyo are not at fault, yet Gloria Arroyo created all by herself. What shameless Gloria are doing to the country and its people is unforgivable. Gloria along with her family must be prosecuted and jailed. The country can’t afford the repeat another Marcos or there can be no justice nor a better future for the next generation.

Moreover, how about the mystery of all the killing, the over 700 plus activists and journalists that has been murdered ever since the very first day Gloria stole Malacanang. They all didn’t die in accident or natural death, they were all executed with the common denominator, all spoke against Gloria Arroyo.

The legitimacy of Gloria Arroyo must have a finality, at least the people deserve this much. We don’t ask for much, but the truths.

  68. Florry:

Frankly, a lot of my friends, nakatikim na ng pukpok ng pulis kaya what they do now is when they go marching, kalat-kalat sila, kung saan-saan dumadaan kaya ang publicity, konti sila, but they merge at one place tapos dadating ang mga pataygutom na tulisan err pulisan pala at mag-uumpisa na silang pupukpokin ng baril.

What you read in Phil Star, etc. in fact are publicity gimmick ni Ale Boba. Palandi-landi, pa-cute-cute lang ang animal! Gumagawa kami ngayon ng documentary on the political killings in the Philippines for submission to an international tribunal. The decision in fact on whether or not to remove the Ale Boba depends on the FILIPINO PEOPLE bago maging war zone iyan ng US at China.

  70. Realted topic: I checked other websites for downloading movies, music, books, etc., and I found out the the “To Live for the Masses” is now downloadable in all of the sites that publish torrent files. The movie has been archived in winrar and posted as a torrent file. Defending on the speed of the hookup, the downloading takes about 40 minutes for the 2.86GB file that is burnadable on DVDs. You will have to have the winrar application to do this process.

I have received permission to produce the DVDs and VHS of the said movie in Japan, and I am selling it for 500 yen each, and the proceeds donated to movements for better Philippines. This is the least I can do for the land of my birth.

    Tony Cuevas,

Nasa guinness book of record yan no.2 is Macoy at no. 10 si Erap.

for us who live outside the pinas, it is seldom to read things positive about our country. today is one of those. i just read in the business corner of the new york times that investors are gaining confidence in the pinas. 750 milyong dolyar ang nautang recently so that today the pinas has about 76 bilyon dollars in debt, but they are able to pay things in time unlike other countries in the same category. referring to the pinas as the sick man of asia, the writer wrote that manila will ask investors for roughly 4 billion dollars in new loans this year, making the pinas the biggest borrower in asia bigger than japan.the biggest worry for the investors is the country’s huge govt. debt. servicing the debt consumes almost 40 percent of the govt’s income. analysts estimate though that only 35 percent of taxes owed to the govt are being collected.. well at least the pinas is able to pay its debt. hopefully more will pay their taxes, but if the govt officials are the first not to pay…

This is not negativism. It is reality bite!!!

Nice try the gimmick! Huwag paloloko. The measure of prosperity is when overseas Filipinos can go home to the Philippines safe and sound, and those at home will no longer wish they were working abroad! Otherwise, publicity stunt!!!

Funny thing is how they have made the Filipinos so numbed and lapping up publicity that they would not even feel the pinch!!! Mandaraya kasi. Pati sarili niloloko kaya naloloko!!!

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!!!

  78. TANONG, MAGKANO ANG IBINAYAD DOON SA DIARYO GAYA NG BINABAYAD SA MGA DIYARYO SA PILIPINAS?!!!

PUEDE BA, PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  79. For me, the only good news is when the bogus president is removed sans meddling by the US, etc. What Filipinos should put in their heads is that a crime has been committed and someone has to be held legally responsible for it.

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  80. norpil norpil

sorry ystakei but i don’t know. you know better maybe. this article is written by a certain wayne arnold based in singapore.the positive thing that i meant in that article is that the pinas is able to pay their debts in time. it is possible this is true since you cannot borrow again when you cannot pay in time.the negative things are more, like increasing the burden to the coming generation by increasing the debt and like collecting only about 35 percent of what is collectible which smell a lot of corruption. but being a positive person, i try to find something positive for everyday for otherwise my life will be shortened.

  81. npongco npongco

Jun, on what basis do you have in saying the most corrupt president was Marcos and the second was Erap? Do you place your fake president GMA as third? Do you know how to count? GMA will soon be recorded in Philippine history as the most corrupt, the worst fake president.

  82. Mrivera Mrivera

    norpil, ystakei,

  83. norpil norpil

mrivera, i read that gma is probably in europe now and will be joining the european meeting of finance ministers in finland. i assume that she will beg for more utang which she may get.where the money will actually go is the problem.it is not abnormal to have debts, some cities in norway tend to borrow outside the country because it is cheaper but the leaders here are honest and accounting is an open book.i have been trying to ask jun what can happen after gma but have no response.

  84. artsee artsee

Gago ka rin Jun ano? Paanong naging masama sina Marcos at Erap?

“Magiging first world country na ang Pilipinas”
    “Gloria won fair and square”
“The Philippines will soon be debt-free”
“The president is offering her hand of reconciliation”
“Si Iggy ang tunay na Jose Pidal”
“Walang kaalam-alam si First Gentleman sa smuggling”
“Hindi corrupt si Mikey yung P120M kinita niya sa pelikula”
    “Wala nang jueteng sa Pilipinas”
“Sabi ng Philippine Star, wala pang makakapalit kay GMA”
“The economy is about to take off”
    “Puro akusasyon, wala namang ebidensiya”

At pagkatapos ng lahat na iyan, sasabihing:
    “Hindi ako maka-Gloria ‘no!”

    Bwahahaha!

  86. Norpil:

Propaganda! That is what it is. I know the Lobby group put up by Ale Baba and husband in Japan is run by foreigners with connection in Manila. I was told in fact that the company in Manila is headed by the Fatso. So, how can you expect this bit of propaganda not being “positively” favorable to the criminals who naturally would not like to be caught on the act!

Singapore was where the Boba’s No. 1 propagandist, who is now ambassador to Greece, was based. So, there you have the connection, aside from the fact that there must be some special connection there somewhere with Singapore being a favorite “cooling place” of these crooks when they get “hot” in Manila.

It is not a matter of being positive or what. It is a matter of finding the truth, but how do you that when the police, military and even the courts are under the control of these criminals who have conveniently appointed their cronies and friends to man them?

So, who says that there are no evidences. There are heaps and heaps of evidences that are being deliberately ignored by the appointees, because once the Boba is out, they are out, too!

I have worked for the police, court and prison in Japan for decades as interpreter cum investigator. I have actually learned to spot a criminal when I see one.

    Jun:

Of course, you’re in denial of the truth as I suspected. Evidences of Gloria’s government as the most corrupt ever in the history of the Philippines certainly has been recorded, only if you let yourself free of Gloria’s spell. Inevitably, Gloria will be judged at the appropriate time, all in good time. As for President Estrada, if you haven’t notice, he’s still being held against his own will. Gloria’s government after over five years still trying to prosecute him in order to pacify fake Gloria Arroyo. As you can imagine, Gloria stole President Estrada’s right to govern as dictated by the constitution. Grotesque travesty of Philippines justice. I don’t know if you can understand it, I very much doubt. I direct your attention to requirements of the Philippines Constitution.

Rep. Cayetano is more credible all by himself in his worst day against all the Arroyos put together, most especially Bonnie and Clyde. What do you’ve that you can use against Rep. Cayetano beside of accusing him of lying without you justifying it. None of course. If the Arroyos got something on Rep. Cayetano you can bet that they already out there to discredit him. But, give the Arroyos time, they’ll find a way to fabricate something to charge him with in which the Arroyo are noted for. Germany and San Francisco connection are as real as the sun will rise. Only if Gloria will tell the truth, a wild wish of mine.

Hello Jun! This is not a fake call as Hello Garci as you would believe. Hello Garci never happen, only in the mind of Gloria since it was lapse of judgement. You need to do your homework, your own initiative and stop imitating Gloria. Ain’t healthy. One million dagdag/bawas was real as your nose in front of your face. Gloria and Garci with cooperation with some corrupt Generals stole the sovereign rights of the people to elect their choice. Once again, another ridicule of Philippines justice.

I was off 47, the last political extra-judicial killing as the latest reported is now up to 747. Imagine 747, innocent people with only crime was to expose Gloria, the liar, cheat and thief. Of course, Gloria Arroyo has nothing to do with them but the NPA. How in good conscience you can fabricate such inutile reason to save Gloria’s butt. I don’t know what see on her, but you need to do some soul searching while it’s time. The like of you the reason Gloria is getting away with murder.

Don’t be a mushroom, educate yourself to how illegitmate Gloria managed to steal Malacanang. As Susan once said, not only once but twice. Anew, disgusting greedy behavior!

Lastly, bogus Gloria Arroyo is without a shame.

  89. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

    Jun:

Undoubtedly, the Philippines is much better off without a liar, cheater and thief in Malacanang. I’m most certainly referring to illegitimate Gloria Arroyo, of course. The future of the Philippines is now on put on hold indenitely, ’till justice has been served. Foreign investors, if you do some reading, you’ll notice due to Philippines political instability and the killing, kidnapping, corruption, et al. are the reason to why the investors are shying away at the shores of the Philippines. And while all this atrocities are going on uncheck, Gloria Arroyo are fabricating justifications to a rosy economy. Lets not forget Jose Pidal getting huge overseas. In Germany?

  90. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

    Jun:

Ooops! I missed one. The latest killing under the regime of illegitimate Gloria Arroyo is Victor Olayvar. It’s now up to 748 and counting…Imagine in over five years after fake Gloria stole Malacanang 748 has been killed and bogus Gloria has no idea of the killing under her nose. So, she did a Melo Commis to save her butt once again. Thus far, for your info, no one has been charged with the killing. Imagine that! Illegitimate Gloria couldn’t find the killers, Gloria the Men in Black. Well, if we’ve to do a proportion, in 2010 approx. another 700 activists and jounalists will be killed under the Gloria’s regime. Assuming fake Gloria will not be kicked out before 2010. But, if I’m betting person, Gloria reaching the finish line in 2010, looking mighty good.

What do you think of that Jun? Of Course, it’s the NPA, if we coveniently wants to blame others. Inredible! Only in the Philippines!

    A Stonehill for the edifice

I was listening with some sense of amusement to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo when she came out swinging and lambasted Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano for his “shameless lies.” Without batting an eyelash – perhaps honed by years of politics plus her own genes (more on this later), PGMA referred to Congressman Alan’s late father by saying she expected more of the son, since his father had been a respected legislator.

Whether she knew it or not, PGMA opened herself up to father-child comparisons. Like Alan, she too idolizes her own father; like Alan, she too must be sensitive when the clay feet of the idol-father is discussed.

And did Diosdado Macapagal have clay feet? Some would say yes, summed up in the name “Harry Stonehill”.

    Repeat after me; “Harry Stonehill’.

To Pinoys of my generation and later, Harry Stonehill is a non-entity. Unless your parents were particularly political in their interests (as mine were, to some extent), or unless you were yourself politically inclined (as I was and have always been) you would not know that Harry Stonehill was one big American businessman who in the 1960s was said to have most Filipino politicians in his pocket. Most, including, we are told, the president of the Philippines, Diosdado Macapagal.

This was the gist of the Stonehill scandal that was provoked when then Justice Secretary Jose W. Diokno investigated Stonehill for his alleged corrupt practices. The investigation unearthed a “black book” in which Stonehill is supposed to have listed names and codes for politicos and the corresponding monies he was giving them.

Reading history books that account for those times, one is made to understand that the list spanned both the ruling Liberal Party and the opposition Nacionalista Party, and included, other than the incumbent president, the names of his predecessor and his wife, former President Carlos and Mrs. Leonila Garcia.

What is interesting in the story of the Stonehill investigation was that, right in the middle of it, President Macapagal fired Pepe Diokno, his own justice secretary. Why he did that, only God knows, although maybe there is an explanation for that somewhere in Macapagal’s autobiography entitled “A Stone for the Edifice”. But Diokno was fired – because he was not of the same caliber as Raul Gonzales, ha ha! – and a new justice secretary was named. But by then the scandal was getting out of hand with everyone demanding to know who was on the list and who was not, and denials and threats of libel suits were flying all over the place.

The story was made more interesting because then-Vice President Emmanuel Pelaez – who for years has been known as a man of integrity – was implicated in the Stonehill scandal by his own partymates, apparently on the instigation of Malacañang. Why? We are told that Pelaez’s name was dragged into the scandal even if his name had not appeared on the Stonehill list because he, Pelaez, was a potential rival of Macapagal’s for the 1965 presidential nomination of the Liberal Party. Never mind that Macapagal had been promising potential rivals such as Pelaez and Ferdinand Marcos that he was good only for one term and thus sought their support in 1961; it was a promise he would not keep – a genetic trait apparently!

And so Pelaez, incensed, rushed to the Palace to demand an explanation as to why his honor was being besmirched. To which the reply allegedly was that his honor was simply being “borrowed’ by the Palace.

Hmmm…Ignacio “I have two discs” Bunye should have learned from Emmanuel Pelaez.

Oh, here is one more interesting analogy.

When the danger was imminent that Stonehill would be forced to reveal all – with the potential scandal resulting in an impeachment of a sitting president – Macapagal signed a deportation order for Harry Stonehill, with the result that Stonehill was forced to leave the country and was then unable to testify. Being an American, Stonehill obviously did not have to have his visa canceled upon his arrival in the United States; whereas our favorite fertilizer fund scam expert Joc Joc B did not have that benefit.

But I think this is where the daughter learns from the father.

You see, history tells us that in 1965, the Filipino people overwhelmingly rejected the “Poor Boy from Lubao” because by then his image had been tarnished by the stench of the Stonehill corruption scandal and some suspected he was a poor boy no more. What DM may have erred in not doing was to convince the House of Representatives to push for Charter Change, including the abolition of the Senate and the cancellation of the 1965 elections. And then again, maybe DM was simply at heart a decent man still, despite the troubles brought upon him by his inner circle – and that innate decency kept him from even tinkering with the idea of changing the charter just to save his political neck.

Which brings us back to the present, and PGMA lambasting Alan Cayetano for failing to follow in the footsteps of his father.

There is a dangerous hint there. Promises not to run not kept; witnesses to scandals sent abroad to be beyond the reach of Philippine law; what else will PGMA do that her father did? And, worse, what else will she do that her father had the decency not to do?

Maybe the legacy of this Macapagal administration will be a rewrite of the “Stone for the Edifice” because the ghost of Harry Stonehill survives to this day.

Like father like daughter, may lahing kawatan o mandarambong. Then Justice Secretary Jose Diokno was dismissed by then President Diosdado Macapagal for exposing graft and corruption in his government. Harry Stonehill was deported to save Dodong’ ass. There’s a parallelism between Stonehill and Joc-joc Bolante’s fertilizer scam case.

“How can the government now prosecute the corrupted when it has allowed the corrupter to go?” Justice Secretary Jose W. Diokno

From the TIME MAGAZINE circa 1962

    Smoke in Manila

    Posted Friday, Aug. 10, 1962
Harry S. Stonehill resembles the kind of character that the late Sydney Greenstreet used to play in all the old Warner Bros, beaded-curtain thrillers. A blunt, beefy Chicagoan who changed his name from Steinberg in 1942 because “German names at that time weren’t very popular,” Stonehill built up a $50 million business empire in the Philippines. “Every man has his price,” said Harry Stonehill, and in the Philippines after World War II he found that the going rate was fairly cheap; at one time he boasted: “I am the government.”
Stonehill’s activities in the Philippines were a major embarrassment to honest President Diosdado Macapagal, who swept into office last year, vowing to clean out the corruption that had proliferated under former President Carlos Garcia. Last March Macapagal had deportation proceedings brought against Stonehill, charging him with “economic sabotage, tax evasion, political interference, misdeclaration of imports, influence peddling, and corruption of public officials.” But rumors persisted that Stonehill was tied up with top members of Macapagal’s own Cabinet.

Last week, as government investigators continued to poke through some 300,000 seized Stonehill documents, Macapagal accepted the resignations of two Cabinet ministers; they were not guilty of any misdeeds, said the President, but they had been too closely associated with Stonehill; and members of the government, “like Caesar’s wife, must be above suspicion.”

Then Macapagal moved in in earnest to end Stonehill’s career in the islands.
Bilko to Baron. That career began during his U.S. Army service in the Philippines in World War II, when he supplemented his lieutenant’s pay with some off-duty wheeling and dealing that enabled him to drive a Cadillac. After discharge, Lieut. Bilko decided to stay in the Philippines, where the living was easy. He made a nest egg selling Christmas cards, soon graduated to army surplus. When import restrictions went up on U.S. cigarettes, Stonehill began growing Virginia tobacco in the hills, became the Philippines’ biggest cigarette baron. His own brand: Puppies.
With his booming tobacco business as a base, Harry Stonehill expanded into oil, glass and, according to government charges, bribery. He lavished presents on government officials, the government case continues, and though foreigners are forbidden to make contributions to political campaigns, freely contributed money to the candidates of his choice. Stonehill also kept telephone wiretapping equipment handy, maintained a complete dossier on all his government contacts. Winking at Stonehill’s illegalities became almost a governmental tic; investigators charge that he illegally imported cigarette paper into the country, declaring the shipments as “school supplies,” and manufactured cigarettes illegally. Another charge: that he smuggled $34 million out of the Philippines when dollar exports were illegal without a license.

The Brothers Doe. What finally started the case against Stonehill was the testimony of a disgruntled former employee named Menhart Spielman, who last March filed a charge of attempted murder against his ex-boss and one of his cronies. A few weeks later, Spielman disappeared from Manila. The government alleges that he was bludgeoned to death on a motor launch on the Sulu Sea, is prosecuting for murder three Moro seamen, a business associate of Stonehill’s, and “John, Robert, Richard and Peter Doe.”
Last week, haggard and forlorn, claiming that his health would be impaired if the hearings continued, Stonehill, 44, offered to leave the Philippines voluntarily-a move that would permit his eventual return. But Macapagal wanted no part of Stonehill now or in the future. At week’s end he ordered his arrest and immediate deportation as an undesirable alien.
Macapagal’s political enemies charged that deportation was too good for Stone-hill. Said Jose Diokno, former Justice Minister who was dismissed in May by the President: “How can the government now prosecute the corrupted when it has allowed the corrupter to go?”

Jun, who provided the Guiness Book with information? Of course the Philippine government. It was the Cory government that provided information about Marcos; so what would you expect? Positive? Same with Erap. If he’s indeed in the Guiness’, it’s the Arroyo government that provided the information. After Gloria’s downfall and ouster, she would also be included in the book in its new edition. Marcos and Erap’s names then would have been deleted.

  107. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

    Jun;

I know this exchanges will lead to nowhere with such mentality. What I will say now to you, perhaps just a misuse of time. Since you’re most adamant person of trying so hard covering up for fake Gloria, undefensible. With all the evidences and atrocities right before your eyes, yet you still Maka-Gloria. What an amazing displaced of loyalty. But, if we can make you see the light, I’d imagine it’s not futile after all. I’d suggest however not to rely too much on book of Guiness, and try to update your outdated archive. Marcos and Erap are small potatoes in comparison to Gloria, by a kilometer.

You said, “kasalanan by ni GMA kung siya ang susunod na presidente”. Most definitely it was Gloria’s greediness for power, and should be held personally responsible for the raping of the constitution. Lets not forget Miguel the husband who played a major role in convincing treasonous Angelo Reyes. As VP Gloria, premeditated plotted and planned in over throwing President Estrada’s govt, coup d’etat if you will. Don’t take my words on this but if you can get a copy of Justice Panganiban book, it might open up your knowledge. Moreover, you can’t deny that didn’t happen, fake Gloria raised her right hand swore to god the she will faithfully to the best of her ability to protect the constitution, instead she lead the mobs. Unforgiveable crime against the people, and that alone, Gloria should be prosecuted and jailed, never to see the daylight to the rest of her born days.

Edsa 2, unconstitutional constructive resignation while Malacanang still occupied by a legitimate president was reality!

  109. Mrivera Mrivera

copied from ellen’s article in malaya.

A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.

He asked, “What are all those clocks?” Saint Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move.” “Oh, I see” said the man, “Whose clock is that?” “That’s Mother Theresa’s. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.”

    “Incredible”, said the man.

“And whose clock is that one?” Saint Peter responded, “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life.”

The man looked around wondering if nothing can really be hidden about anyone’s life while on earth. He snapped upon remembering someone he knew very much.

“Where’s Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s clock?” asked the man. Saint Peter replied, “Ahh, the Philippine president’s clock? It is in Jesus’ office. He’s using it as a ceiling fan.”

“What? Oh, my God!” the man could only say as he faints.

  110. Jun Jun

  111. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

    Jun:

Again, you failed to understand the constitutional requirements to replace a legitimate President. Summarily, President Estrada was elected by the majority of the people for six years term. Yet, his term was cut short, when Gloria as VP took it upon herself to be self-appointed god. It’s not the question of removing President Estrada out of Malacanang legally in accordance with the constitution, but in the matter how it was done outside the constitution. As you well aware, illegitimate Gloria and Miguel, the husband publicly admitted of over throwing President Estrada no matter what the cost in which killing was included.

If President Estrada guilty of maraming kabit, ginagawang inuman ang malacanang, kung gumising alas onse na ng umaga, mandarambong, etc. as you indicated, those were not a cause for coup d’etat and not a crime as written in the constitution. Yet, a very common personal habit of an individual.

Now, lets examine in comparison to Gloria’s capital crimes against the people and the rule of law. Illegitimate Gloria usurped the President Estrada’s govt. Did she not? We can go on and make comparison between President Estrada and illegitimate Gloria, and I can assure you that President is a saint in comparison to illegitimate Gloria. Of course, you won’t know.
