I-disable na natin iyang si Lozano, he is Fartso’s peon for stalling political progress for his kuto-sized wife to continue plundering the country!

Ellen, thank you for “katatawanan” ni Lozano, palaging buking si Fartso!

  2. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

    Ms. Ellen,

  19. As one who had known Lozano during his saner days, I cannot help pitying him for what he has become. He was a brilliant guy with a brilliant mind but he has become another one of the likes of Leonard de Vera, another UP graduate who has succumbed to the temptation, and has never been the same again.

No wonder Lozano did not answer my letters to him via his daughter’s email addy regarding the first impeachment that I thought he was promoting genuinely. It was just that I thought it was crazy how the government would even provide him with armed guards and free rides on army jeeps, etc. if he was indeed against the Pidals.

I agree with Bongbong. This guy should be kicked out of KBL.

“Contrary to a Malacañang aide’s claim that the report by a United Nation’s officer on his findings will not have any negative impact on the Arroyo government, UN special rapporteur Philip Alston has issued a warning to the Arroyo regime that it faces the dire consequence of eroding international support if the regime fails to stop the political murders.

  36. Maybe we just take one step back and survey this Administration and their Team un-Unity in Panic Mode. If they’re not in Panic Mode they bloody well should be!
Sen. Joker Arroyo yesterday (Tribune-METRO) raised a howl over the continuing deployment of soldiers in depressed areas in Metro Manila, short of admitting the move of the administration in which he is campaigning for his reelection bid, as overkill
ADB pointed out (Tribune – Expose) that a 5.4-percent growth rate is not sufficient to lift unemployment rates now at 8 to 10 percent accompanied by a higher 23 percent underemployment rate. Poverty and hunger in the Philippines are the stark reality. After six years of band-aid solutions, GMA will have to accept the blame because her focus is on political survival, not anti-poverty
The other stark reality is shown by the Joc-Joc fertilizer scam, by the Cebu lamppost cost 2000 percent overpricing, by the spoilage of P6.5-million worth of DoH vaccine stocks and by the disappearances of relief goods. Pervasive corruption has dissipated funds that should have been released to help the poor.
As the ADB (Asian Development Bank) pointed out, Madam GMA, we need more jobs and that means we need more foreign investors. Releasing P1 billion for food dole outs and setting a six-month deadline to solve the hunger problem are just plain political gimmickry. Six years of gimmickry are enough, Madam. Time to wake up to the sad reality.
Common complaints. Hostage-taker Armando ‘Jun; Ducat Jr. of Rosario, Cavite, a small businessman and former Rotary Club president, highlighted corruption and the lack of a good future for his 31 pre-school students from Parola, Tondo, who have no chance to get a good education as the reason for his hostage- taking. He also deplored the failure to deliver on promised housing programs for the poor. Ducat said if corruption is eradicated, all the poor kids from squatter areas can get an education. This is another reality, many people are depressed and pessimistic about the sad and oppressive state of the people’s situation after six years of GMA.

COMMENT: The opposition trio is putting in place a strong anti-fraud team, confident that they have the votes. The Administration & their Team Unity is in Panic Mode. Lets remember that nobody, just nobody ever thought that the Berlin Wall would fall. But suddenly without warning it fell, everyone was free! Be patient, under International pressure the Administration & their candidates will suddenly collapse. The writing is on the wall, be patient. Enough is Enough!

    WWNL,
Agree with your Comment. Gloria’s wall is cracking and will collapse soon.
    1) Some top Comelec officials are beginning to rebel. According to these poll officials, who asked for anonymity, there was a series of meetings last month during which pressure was exerted on regional directors to include Defensor and Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson in the winning “9-3” column for the TU.
They said that this operation will be blunted since many of them will not obey and they would countermand the orders of the Palace operators, whether he be Garcillano, Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno or that absentee Eastern Samar Gov. Ben Evardone.

2)And here’s another writing on the wall. Why have so many Cabinet men opted to run for elective positions? Fed up and can’t stand the stench of Malacanang, I guess. Or perhaps they know and feel something in the air. That The Great Usurper’s days are numbered?

  40. vic vic

why do fellow lawyers allow people like him to insult their profession?

That’s a good question WWNL. Isn’t about time the law practice is regulated by the the Profession itself? Take the govt. regulatory body out of it, and have the Law Society regulate the body itself and they can easily cleanse themselves of the undesirables. Not heard any Lozanos in Canada that were not kicked out of the profession faster than they get in..

  41. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

Gloria is no longer in control. The military is. And the PNP is happily tagging along with it. Gloria can’t even tell the leftist-hating military to scoot it out of the poor communities inspite of the pressure from the church and the international community. All she could do was to urge them. Urge?!

She rode the tiger with such glee on her face and now she can’t get off even if she wanted to.

  42. vic:
I know what would happen in Canada, likewise the police in your country reporting directly to a body independent of your government, are self regulated. If the Canadians saw Military on the streets controlling the populace the way they do here it would shock Canadians for sure. The AFP should not be allowed to meddle with public situations, what ever they may be. Whilst the AFP does the Philippines will never grow strong.
Definition of POLICE: a civil organization whose members are given special legal powers by the government and whose task is to maintain public order and to solve and prevent crimes. I don’t see the military mentioned do you?

  43. Phil Cruz:
What you see is a ship about to sink and the crew looking around for life boats to use when it sinks. There are holes appearing everywhere its not a question of will it sink but when will it sink. It will be sudden without warning cos there not enough Juicy Fruit Gum to repair the damage.

  44. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

    WWNL,
The situation enveloping Gloria is uncannily the same situation Marcos was in before his regime collapsed. The pressure from all sides (local and international). But Marcos committed the error of calling for a snap election because of the pressure from the US…expecting to manipulate the election results.

But Gloria would have learned from this mistake. She won’t call for a snap election inspite of the pressure. So what can we expect? Which action of hers will finally drive the critical wedge which will finally crack the wall down? I think it’s the remaining honest men now beginning to blow the whistle in the Comelec which may lead to her downfall.

  45. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

No snap election is necessary since election is just around the corner, so this regular election is going to be her downfall because she is going to manipulate it and she will be exposed for it.

  47. The comelec know very well that this time around they are being observed closely and each and every comelec member knows that if he gets caught in cheating he will pay a big price, a price much bigger than he’s being offered.
It seems that already they’re making it known they don’t intend to play ball. Her and her Team un-Unity have been depending on the comelec to doctor their votes to their advantage but the comelec know that this is a hot potatoe this time around, to them its not a moral issue.

Joker Arroyo is asking the AFP to pull out soldiers from slum areas. He should address such request to his Team Unity boss. Simple as that. But I think Joker knows his boss is no longer in control. So he addresses the ones in real control.

  57. vic:
I know and envy your county in their way of armed police being kept separate from an un-armed military, thats why you no doubt have noticed that my comments on the AFP and PNP that they should be separated.
Here, we have allowed the Military to become ‘elitist’ against the PNP for which we are now paying dearly for as the AFP control civilian road blocks, search premises without a court warrant, even arrest persons without a court warrent but once they have done these unlawful acts the AFP hand it over to the PNP, Hello how did we allow this to become so, even though it is bad practise.
If the PNP had been allowed to do their mandated duty to the public we would only have one properly trained group policing and serving the populace. As it is we have a group of AFP trained only to kill in combat roaming the barrio’s flexing their Elitist muscle always with a high powered weapon in their hands.
If we had a strong Administration we would only need the PNP to deal with law and order. We don’t even need it passed by Congress because the military have no right to be patrolling the barrio’s the Administration can just give an EO for the Military to stay in barracks.
Its the first step to proper accountable law and order.

  58. Joker Arroyo is one who’s already looking for a life boat. I just hope it was worth his while to make a fool of himself and flush his reputation down the drain. No doubt in my mind it was advanced payment, so now’s the time to speak out!

  63. If I were a parent of a child in that bus, I would immediately take my child out of that nursery and file a case against Ducat regardless of his intentions even when it will go nowhere with the kangaroo court manned by political appointees of the Pidals.

I would not even trust that pervert to kiss my child if I were one of the parents of the children he kissed as they alighted from the bus after kidnapping and holding them as hostages.

To tolerate this guy is perversion of the first degree. There should be no consideration given to this pervert so that no one will even try to copy him and the creeps with whom he is in cahoot in staging this fake hostage crisis!

Pinutol and dalawang daliri sa kanang kamay to show loyalty doon sa boss niyang putol (Yakuza).

  73. alegadown alegadown

maartee, sinadya mo yatang bagohin ang id ko palibhasa ang tinutukoy sa tinatalakay ay ang putolin ang alaga sa baba kaya siguro ginawa mong Alagadown…. tsk tsk tsk …. mutilation is a criminal act… thus they are bunch of criminals…

yakuza in japan ang triad in china…..

afghanistan, world’s largest producer of opium; cultivation dropped 48% to 107,400 hectares in 2005; better weather and lack of widespread disease returned opium yields to normal levels, meaning potential opium production declined by only 10% to 4,475 metric tons; if the entire poppy crop were processed, it is estimated that 526 metric tons of heroin could be processed; many narcotics-processing labs throughout the country; drug trade is a source of instability and some antigovernment groups profit from the trade; significant domestic use of opiates; 80-90% of the heroin consumed in Europe comes from Afghan opium; vulnerable to narcotics money laundering through informal financial networks; source of hashish

ayon sa iyong nakita doon sa pilikula eto yun USA:

world’s largest consumer of cocaine, shipped from Colombia through Mexico and the Caribbean; consumer of ecstasy and of Mexican heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine; minor consumer of high-quality Southeast Asian heroin; illicit producer of cannabis, marijuana, depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens, and methamphetamine; money-laundering center

    tapos sa china naman:

major transshipment point for heroin produced in the Golden Triangle region of Southeast Asia; growing domestic drug abuse problem; source country for chemical precursors, despite new regulations on its large chemical industry.

    ang cuba naman:

territorial waters and air space serve as transshipment zone for US- and European-bound drugs; established the death penalty for certain drug-related crimes in 1999

    ang hongkong naman:

despite strenuous law enforcement efforts, faces difficult challenges in controlling transit of heroin and methamphetamine to regional and world markets; modern banking system provides conduit for money laundering; rising indigenous use of synthetic drugs, especially among young people

    sa pinas naman noon:

domestic methamphetamine production has been a growing problem in recent years despite government crackdowns; major consumer of amphetamines; longstanding marijuana producer mainly in rural areas where Manila’s control is limited

(AP)

How bad is People I Know? Imagine a movie about a man who spends much of the film toying with the idea of heading into the sunset with his brother’s still-sexy, decade-younger widow, and other parts of the film ogling sexy young men. Imagine a movie about politics crashing into the publicity game that is desperate enough to put the hero’s medical doctor at the head of a secret cabal, like a new millennial version of Ruth Gordon in Rosemary’s Baby. Imagine a movie that actually thinks the audience will buy a sequence in which a guy takes a downer just in time to fall asleep in the hotel bathtub – where he won’t be seen – as the killer comes in and executes the “troubled starlet” so that the assault will be a shaky memory. Imagine a movie in which Tea Leoni wants Ryan O’Neal, Kim Basinger wants Al Pacino and Regis & Joy Philbin are the key to a man’s future.

I don’t know what happened in development, in rehearsal, in production and in post in this film, but it is a complete mess. Either Pacino is flailing about, trying to find his character, or this is the first true where’s-my-check performance I’ve ever seen the man give. His southern accent (and his sexuality) ebbs and flows in a sadly casual way. When he and Basinger are on screen together, she looks like a young girl trying to get a boy’s attention and having no success at all. It’s like they are in two different movies. They could have played the scene on separate stages. Same with Tea Leoni. Pacino seems so distracted that it devolves into disinterest.

The story, written by Jon Robin Baitz, has a good idea at its core. Politics is show business, only it’s even nastier. A guy who has seen and manipulated his way through it all has gotten to the point in his life at which he’s willing to risk it all to do the right thing, just this once. The side characters, mixing real and fictional, jewish and black, egomaniacal and earnest, are fun and smart and eye-catching.

But none of that makes it to the screen, really. There were lots of opportunities for greatness, including the chance to set a new standard for the on-screen portrayal of the job of a publicist. (Forget the mostly unreal America’s Sweethearts in this regard.) But instead, you get a murky look at New York through a tired man’s eyes… a man less tired than the guy Pacino played so well in Insomnia, but infinitely more boring.
