Tingnan nyo ang website ng Office of the Press Secretary noong April 21, 2007 (http://www.news.ops.gov.ph/archives2007/apr21.htm).

Ang pamagat ng press release ay “So much investments, so little time for PGMA in China”

Ito ang report: “Nearly a billion dollars worth of new investments in 12 hours.
That’s the way things looked like for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in her brief stay in this picturesque coastal town Saturday as she “came and went like a thief in the night,” bringing with her an avalanche of Chinese investments to the tune of $904.38 million.”

“Came and went like a thief in the night”.

Alam ba ng sumulat ng press release ang kinita ni “Little One” kaya siya sumulat na “she came and left like a thief in the night” .

She is the queen of the “elves” kaya tamang tama ang sinasabi sa WSJ about the dwendes..

  3. When the ultimate fixer of a foreign proponent is as high in government hierarchy as Abalos, the country that is represented by that foreign proponent lines up all other potential free riders to the bonanza group. No wonder Gloria was able to witness the signing of dozens of contracts during that 12-hour visit.

The Chinese knew that Abalos who had an excellent reputation for selling out (votes, elective positions, etc.) was telling them the truth: they (the Chinese) could buy anything and anyone in the Philippines and no less than Gloria would be the witness to the sell off.

  5. I have the affidavit of Joey de Venecia but I don’t have a scanner. I’ll try to post it tomorrow.

I have to check my Chinese connection..mahilig ako sa siopao at siomai..makapunta nga sa Chinatown..masarap ang siopao sa Mai La Hway.

Ellen just posted on this Flight to China in a private plane.

  8. Rose:

IpDyi does not own Cathay Pacific. It is not a private plane. What Filipinos in Spain should check is if he has bought a house in Spain, and check how this guy can have the money to buy houses everywhere. and who is paying for his trip to China, Spain, etc.

  9. Sa Japan ang ganitong scandal will see a lot many crooks jumping from buildings or hanging themselves in some hotels kasi manipis ang balat ng mga tao dito.

  10. Naku Yuko, iyan na nga caught virtually red-handed who’s sworn that so and so was in on the scam, wala pa rin – sige pa rin parang walang nangyayari…iyan pa na parehong mga abogago na Abalos at Fat Goon Arroyo na puwedeng baliktarin ang batas?

  11. Si Abe nga bababa na after being blamed for the defeat of his party in the last election.

  12. Yuko, sorry to say but you are comparing delicious apples ang rotten mangoes here. Bukod na sa rotten, inuuod pa.

Walang comparisson. Mas makapal pa sa mag-asawang Pidal, imossible!

  13. rose rose

Yuko: sa bilis ng pagbasa ko at sa mas bilis ng isip ko I thought he “chartered” the plane. Cathay Pacific is a China owned plane company? I know Eva Air is a sister co. of China Air Line..which one is the flagship of China gov’t? shameless is too mild a word to describe them!

  14. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

A Freudian slip? Malacanang propagandists are telling the truth about their thieving boss. They can no longer hide the billions of kickbacks involved in China’s ZTE-NBN misdeal. In June 2004, like the thief in the night, House Speaker Jose De Venecia proclaimed Gloria Arroyo the 14th president before dawn after six weeks of vote’s manipulation.

  15. Rose:

Cathay Pacific used to be the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Still is, I guess, but it is a joint British-Chinese venture.

But then, dito naman kasi hindi sila uubra sa mga taumbayan who will not tolerate any crook in the government. Boto nga nila binababoy as when some crook in the department of justice refuses to grant Trillanes to serve his people in the Senate as they have given him the mandate to. Hindi puedeng si Pandak ang masusunod.

    Rebolusyon na dapat!

This humongous parasite of Pidalistic lord is and foremost the result reign of corruption that was mainly manifested through improper appointments of unsuitable people to key posts ranging from the appointment of Garci General used to garner support for politicians to posts obedience on their command in to creating Glorific loyalists. The loyalistic crisis is the reason for the ongoing functional failure by judicial and legislatures, their corruption benefits their minions. It rewards supporters and greases the political machinery. And anyone who really tries to fight against their corruption makes a host of inconvenient and perhaps dangerous enemies.

Diego,Natutulog pa ba ang Diyos? Why he could not hear these political leaders who talk about fighting corruption when they needed votes?. They also like to investigate corrupt because it is showy and tend to be adversaries,’ GraftBuster sila sa TV.

  21. martina martina

Buking na buking si Fatso. Ang dami sigurong naipon na kulimbat, dahil ngayon lang nag-overseas after his operation. Sige, pasarap siya ngayon, dahil the Pidals end is just around the corner.

  22. cocoy cocoy

    Tongue;

  24. Valdemar Valdemar

I would call her more appropriately as Madame Bugaw. Binubugaw niya ang ating bayan for a fee of course.

  25. martina martina

He has a conscience saying to him ‘Sobra na, Tama Na’.

  26. chi chi

Approve without thinking yata si Bunyeta kaya lumusot.

  27. Si Toting talaga, madaling ma-distract kasi yan. Tahimik pero excitable din.

Like his I have two discs song. Imagine, he a lawyer exhibiting and in possession of evidence of their (Palace) complicity in wiretapping acts – something illegal in the country, tapos ngayon “like a thief in the night”… Hihihih!

  28. Tongue:

  29. One thing Filipinos do not have in abundance, Anna, is perseverance. The Japanese on the other hand have lots of that plus determination to finish what they are supposed to do as when they find out about some anomaly/scandal.

Abe was not involved in any corruption as a matter of fact, but he was forced to resign with people in his administration getting embroiled in this and that anomaly. Then, he had this policy of militarization that he failed to pulse the sentiments of the majority, who have gotten used to our pacifist Constitution. Hindi siya tinigilan ng media. Umaga, tanghali at gabi binatikos.

Then, when his party lost in the last election, even members of his party joined his critics in demanding for a change, even his own resignation. Presto, baba siya! Ganyan katindi!

Nagbabayad ng publicity paid with taxpayers’ money like that report posted by Rose.

Walang kumakampi! Batikos hanggang bumaba o magpakamatay ang binatikos.

  30. Yuko “Filipinos do not have in abundance, Anna, is perseverance. ”

I think there’s truly a failing in that area among many Pinoys. Madaling mag-give up. “Di ko kaya” syndrome. Siguro dahil sa climate. I find that too in the Malays of Malaysia.

I believe that if we blame the current status quo to the non-perseverance trait of Pinoys it’s not so much the ease with which many of us give up but the great apathy.

  31. We cannot compare Pinas and Japan on that score. Japan has a long history of martial discipline, a civilization that’s nurtured by hundreds of years of honour and obedience.

We are a tribalistic people. I’m a great believer that our 4 centuries of colonization by Spain confused us more than educated us.

  32. Funny, Anna, but I learned to develop perseverance when I came to settle here, but then, I must have it in me, for my father actually talked a lot about long suffering, and never give up when I was a kid. In fact, it was from him that I learned that “Perseverance is genius in disguise.” onditioned to think that

In other words, Filipinos can be like the Japanese if they want to, but the problem is they are not encouraged to be what they can be but are told that they cannot.

As for the Spaniards, Rizal in fact complained about the general illiteracy during the Spanish administration of the Philippines. In fact, compulsory education was what he was advocating for.

The Spaniards in fact encouraged regionalism among Filipinos so they could not unite and rebel against them. The Americans likewise did the same, I guess.

    “He saw the light.”
Could be Philips or G.E or Chang Wai lighting fixture? Made in China.

  34. Jon M Jon M

  36. instead of referring the broadband deal as a $329 Million dollar scam/deal, dapat P15.5 Billion ZTE deal ang itawag dito, to show how BIG a scam this is.

Beware of Wack Wack Mafia. Delikado!

The Philippine Star columnist Jarius Bondoc on Tuesday accused Chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of threatening to kill him after he exposed a ranking poll official had received lavish gifts from grateful officials of China’s ZTE Corp. for allegedly brokering the national broadband network (NBN) deal.

Malacanang belongs to the people and its occupants are transients – just passing through whose place at the leadership of the nation is a privilege given to them by the citizens of this nation. The present occupants have worn out their welcome – not only are they messy house guests, they have stolen many items from their hosts. They should preserve whatever is left of their dignity by voluntarily moving out – instead of being evicted like two previous occupants.
