The families of detained officers in Camp Capinpin, Tanay unveiled their own efforts to bring out the truth behind the incarceration of the officers whose sterling records put to shame that of their jailors.

They are making available to the public T-shirts celebrating truth and the courage to defend it. Front of the T-shirts feature the pictures of the officers and the names of the 40 enlisted men who have been imprisoned for more than a year but have not been charged in court up to now. Underneath the photos are the words”The truth shall set us free.”

At the back is a statement titled: “A few good men”

What our dying nation needs today are men of will,
Who dare to go against the tyrants and oppressors.

Our nation does not need orators who know just what to say.
It does not need authorities to reason a way.
But our nation needs just A FEW GOOD MEN.

Men full of compassion and courage;
Men who will face eternity and are not afraid to die;
Men who will fight for freedom, justice and dignity.

Our country calls the one who has the strength
To stand up for the TRUTH.
RISE UP AND BE COUNTED.

Sought for a comment, Lt. Col. Bartolome Bacarro, Afp spokesman, chided the accused officers for coming up with the t-shirt with the words “a few good men”. Bacarro said:“There are more better men outside.”

On the words “truth shall set us free” printed on the t-shirts, Bacarro said: “We are free so the truth is with us.”

“Those (t-shirts) are nothing but propaganda. The bottom line is they are destabilizers whose aim is only to grab power. The national interest for peace, stability and progress are farthest from their aspirations,” added Bacarro.

  1. Ellen,

I just wrote in the other loop my desire to order these T-shirts to give to my friends. Can you email to me whom to contact and ask to mail them to me, and where to send my payment? Magandang pang-regalo. I am keeping all records of these mistrials, etc. for a possible Filipiniana Museum that I may try to build over here someday even just to remind Filipinos that they were once a brave people.

Ow, the young ones are sooo cute.

Hindi ba nadudurog ang puso ng mga Gloria’s halimaws kung tinitingnan nila ang mga angel na ito?

  3. One of the young ones is Jazen Cordero, the son of Lt. Jacon Cordero, the youngest of the detainees. It was Jacon’s 28th birthday yesterday. After the trial, I understand the wife, Mazenith and Jazen, stayed behind for a simple b-day celebration at the detention quarters.

Jacon is son of retired Gen. Cordero.

I have written about them earlier. Check this out:http://www.ellentordesillas.com/?p=1100

It was also Lt. Homer Estolas’ birthday yesterday. Lt. Estolas’ family members were not in Tanay yesterday. They are in Cebu.

Happy Birthday Lt. Jacon Cordero and Lt. Homer Estolas.

I pray that very soon, our “few good men” will be out of detention.

Naku Ellen, durog na durog ang puso ko sa mga batang ito.

Gloria is heartless! HIndi sila natitinag kahit na sa mga munti na ito na inosenteng nagsasakripisyo para sa kanilang mga tatay at lolo.

  6. The ordinary troops, the enlisted men are at the bottom of the ladder – they too need our sympathy.

Without the ordinary troops, these officers wouldn’t be heroes.

  7. chi chi

Yes, Anna. The ordinary troops are in my prayers, too. Hindi ko sila nalilimutan.

This is not a whistle bomb, but an old Kanyon kawayan ng carburo.

I don’t know why our patriotic colonels can’t think of this scenario. What is needed is five or six battalion commanders talking through their cell phones spread out:
Two in Luzon, two in the Visayas, two in Mindanao or just even two in Luzon will be enough to start the snowball to freedom. Patriot battalion commanders may call their company commanders and platoon leaders to a meeting and announced: Our battalion has the noble duty to protect our country and people from its enemies. Because he knows the corrupt and the criminals among his company officers
He starts shooting them dead and asked the remaining ones
To tell their soldiers to defend their camp and headquarters and that their battalion is leading the fight by other battalions in other parts of the country and the people will join them to finish the crooks in government.

  9. jay cynikho jay cynikho

The soldiers of course will only be too happy their long wait has ended and will follow the battalion chain of command for their country and their families. In a province, the people and the soldiers will start the massive Manhunt of drug lords and gambling lords and crooked policemen and politician.

In big camps with more than one battalion, there will be initial firefight between battalions but will end up fusing into one division of patriotic officers and soldiers after the soldiers puts bullets behind the heads of corrupt generals, Colonels, and majors. Any and every soldier knows only too well the criminals among their superior officers.
It is every soldier judgement call to contribute their bullets to save their country and the future generation. Every nook and corner of the country there are victims, multitudes who had long been waiting to act and help the soldiers cleanse the establishment, the middle class and the elite of blood impurities. Let five or six battalion commanders start the burning snowball to create the people’s tsunami to end the lives of these beach vacationists. Crazy? Insane? Of Course its irrational!

  10. jay cynikho jay cynikho

Rationality kills the poor and the downtrodden. Consider this. If the Americans did not rescue Marcos and his entire family and close cronies and allowed the KMU and the other hard cores at the Malacanang gates to finish off the evils of Martial Law, there will still be a Cory BUT NO
Kamag anak Inc, there will be no Grango coups. Ramos and Enrile will have sweaty nightmares, No Ramos plunder
Of poor Meralco users, No mansions for Erap’s cunts,
Mike Arroyo will be behind bars because of Gloria’s Garment Board. The children of Generals will not be
ashamed of their fathers. The Americans saving Marcos
did us more harm than what they did to Iraqis who still
have their pride, their honor and their soul. It was a slow
bloodless death by our own hands.

Shall our poor then be Hutus to clean up our rich Tutsis? Sad but God will not even gift us the fate of Rwanda, our destiny is to roam the earth as heroes to nurse the sick, clean toilets, drive trucks and taxis, serve the food, clean the tables and be friends to every one.

Don’t asked me what happens next after the blood bath?
    Only supots will do that.

Jay cynikho Mi Amigo! I say to you that you are giving an excellent history lesson to all of our filipino generation. it’s so great that you are doing what you are doing and you give us great hope. you are not alone.Your movements against the tyranny of Pidal makes the oppressed very happy. I am looking for a way to support you in your struggles but I’m not going to send dollars because they are devaluating.

And I want to say to you Mi Amigo, that I want to make it bigger, so big that it fits all the Arroyo’s neocons that want to destroy FEW GOOD MEN and because they don’t leave them alone only because they fight them for all injustice.

And maybe we will come to agreement among us, we who are simple and humble and, together, come to an agreement between our struggles that, right now, fight alone, separated from one another, and we will come up with a plan about how we will continue with this program canyon kawayan that includes calburo, and a plan for how we are going to achieve this program, that is named “the national plan of struggle, planting kawayan” so that it achieved it’s purpose in maintaining the canyon supplies in every military camps.Hehehehe! 14. From a military officer:

Bacarro said, “There are more good men that are not detained.”

That’s true, only few of us are incarcerated.

  15. Incarceration is not just being confined to the four concrete walls. It also means being imprisoned by selfish ambition and greed.

We often heard a Kangaroo Court. What is a Kangaroo Court? Do we want our brave soldiers to face this kangaroo court of Esperon?

Kangaroo court is American slang used to describe an unfair trial which is conducted in clear contradiction of the legal establishment. It used in a trial convened by a self-appointed tribunal which quickly hands down harsh punishments, or in the sense of a clearly biased trial which had a predetermined outcome. Referring to a legal trial as a kangaroo court is a serious charge, since it implies that the trial was not conducted in a legal or fair fashion.

    Anna, Chi,

The plights of those ordinary soldiers, aside from of course the security and welfare of our beloved country, are the reasons that these gallant incarcerated soldiers are fighting for. Fighting for the freedom from the tyrranic regime of Gloria and her syndicates!

  24. klingon klingon

Bacarro is the AFP spokesman. How dare he call these men destabilizers? Prejudicial statement yan, since he mouths the official line of the AFP. Sub judice ang statement niya. It means that it really is a kangaroo court, kasi in the eyes of the AFP, power grabbers sila even if their acts and the consequences are still on trial. Wala pang conviction, ganun na ang tawag sa kanila.

  25. A few good men could bring this government down.

It takes will, courage and determination.

This government is not nearly so impregnable that it can’t be done. As ever, bringing a govt down is easy, Gloria and her husband showed how easy it is to do it but the one thing that we should all fear is — after that, what?

Re: Ang maganda sa Thailand ay meron silang king, whom everyone respects and admires.

    ***

I had a Thai friend who told me that the reason why Thai recovered early and achieved more progress after Thaksin was mainly because of their compassionate King who is respected and loved by the military and all sectors of the society. When the King was informed of the planned junta, he saw to it that what the military asked of him was verified by himself to avoid unnecessary mistake. (The Thai King was born in Cambridge, MA).

The traits of compassion, caring and loving attached to the Thai King are absent in Gloria. Sori, wala nga palang magandang trait si Impakta!

Sa Pinas, si “Hello Garci” palagi ang bida, konektado sa lahat ng anggulo ng gulo. It imprisoned Gloria and her Halimaw Generals wrecking havoc in every corner of the society.

Hindsights on this “few good men”

    A “few good men”
Is the ultimate result of a saved bullet
    Marked to kill a sonamabitch.
It’s a long journey that started
From a stand off at the fort
    That made an unhurried bivouac
At the Tanay’s the Sierra Madre side
There with nothing but the thoughts
Of the sobs of their wives
And tearful eyes of their children
    The few good men regretted
With clenched fists and burning hearts
Why they had saved that god damn bullet.

A “few good men” is what their culture wanted
Of the few hundred fools massed at the gate
A culture nurtured in churches and chapels
To faint at the sight of blood, be the slaves of peace.
These “few good men” like a few one-eyed men
In a country of millions blind could have made
Better use of a few bullets. They waited
Those praying fools at the gate for the sound
Of exploding powder when a slug exits the ass hole
the muzzle of the glock to make a slit
on the forehead of the sonamabitch..

  36. jay cynikho jay cynikho

Our few good men I hope, are not but culls
Of our many good men who like their bishops and priests
Learned not the courage of our Christ who died in pain
While shedding his holy blood for mankind.
These many good men, saintly men learned not
They just don’t get it the meaning of the new
And everlasting covenant, they just don’t get it
So they keep their cool and saved their bullets
And became the “few good men.’
    Against the sonamabitch.

  37. jay cynikho jay cynikho

Hindsight like Zeus is the father of foresight
If hindsight unlike Zeus does not sire bastards
Then foresight’s name will be next time
And next time shall bring forth not few saved bullets
But piles of empty cartridge shells; Next time is
Not to exult “a few good men” but to honor “ a few heroes” and cremate some dead sonamabitches.

    But if next time
Shall die in the hearts of these few good men
Then hindsight can’t be a father, but a mule,
    This country can’t expect
Even a mere hard on. However,

  38. jay cynikho jay cynikho

    Or but again
If foresight shall be an awaited next time,
Then next time shall, in a trance, be possessed
By the evil of history like the revolt in Hungary
When those “many good men” Had no bullets or knives, the people used their hands to gouge the eyes and
Tear the flesh from the bones of the sonamabitch.

Before I shut my trap and close
this bloody fish mouth I dare
say to blogger readers: this is
Not much of a verse Old Boys!
Just the rubbish musings of a bloke
    Mimicking musings
    of another bloke named Roy.
    Good bye.

  42. Yes. I’ll ask where you can order. I understand they are raising funds for some improvements in their detention quarters.

  43. Unbelievable! Over here, Ellen, the media will have not waste a minute to expose possible human rights violation by the government when they hear of this kind of fundraising to improve government facilities for the sake of inmates being forcibly detained in such filthy jail cells, etc. It will be criticized and condemned, and some people would be made responsible for this kind of neglect, for it is not the responsibility of ordinary citizens to do this amidst all the scams involving millions of dollars going to the pockets of the crooks in the government.

In fact, prisons in Japan have gone renovations and new buildings/facilities are being constructed to accommodate especially criminals from overseas coming to Japan and breaking Japanese laws.

Presently, the Chinese rank first among the foreign offenders, followed by the Koreans and Filipinos. The number of Filipino women serving life sentences in fact has increased. Fortunately, none has been given death sentences despite the gravity of their crimes.
