Sinungaling!

Panlilio, it took them more than a week to admit owning and giving out the money. If it’s true that the money’s usually given to neophyte public officials meaning only Panlilio ang Mendoza were given, paano iyon mga inamin nina Rep. Cuenco, Abante at ilan pa? Hindi naman sila mga bagito. Bistado na, palusot pa rin. Tongue ina nila!

  4. chi - October 25, 2007 12:33 am

    Pechanco,

Ang galing ng memory mo a! Cuenco, Abante…

    Hi Ellen,

Ellen, since you have connection with the media and know some personalities like Pia Hontiveros and Ces Drilon, why not ask them to invite those assholes and then you be there. Tirahin mo sila isa-isa. If you see them, paki batok na nga para sa akin…

  10. Chabeli - October 25, 2007 1:05 am

Just to add to this pathetic Lying Governor of Eastern Samar, Ben Evardone..When he was being interviewed on Prime Time News on ANC earlier today, one of the questions Ms Ces Oreña-Drilon asked was where the money of the LPP (League of the Provinces of the Philippines) are deposited in. Ang sagot ng Lying Governor ay sa Landbank of the Philippines at, if I remember right, sa Equitable Bank. Ang sabi ni Ms Ces sa kanya na from Fr Ed Panlilio’s investigation, Bank of Commerce is where the money he received (500 Thousand Pesos in cold cash) came from. Parang na bulol siya & he blamed the Treasurer of LPP.

Talagang Bobo ito si Lying Governor ! If his intention was to protect Gloria from the Brown Bag Bribery scandal, he instead was successful in digging Gloria deeper into the mud !

  11. jojovelas2005 - October 25, 2007 1:07 am

Gov. Reyes and Everdone are lying…sila din ba ang nagbigay sa mga congressmen? then ibig sabihin ang para kay Gov galing sa Governors league then yun sa mga congressmen galing naman sa house of reps? paano yun mga mayors sa mayors league naman. They lied sabi nila wrong place daw hindi kaya wrong alibi sila?

  12. Totie - October 25, 2007 1:11 am

Regardless: Kulang kasi kayo ng documentation kaya ayan you have to resort to Cover Up.

    1) Is there a resolution within your organization with regards to that approval of the huge disbursements? Your own treasurer have no foggiest idea.
    2) Is the reason for the disbursement of the funds included in the transmittal of funds?
    3) Is it the League’s approved practice to use Cash instead of Check and or Wire when transferring huge amount? Wow!
3.a) If cash is the leagues choice of disbursement (attention COA), are envelopes/bags of funds containing “Cash” officially signed for by the courier who made the delivery? (Considering that these funds are public funds, we want the COA to perform a fast track kick on the tire audit going back at least 4 years.)
    4) What is the leagues Record Retention (Kung meron)? makalkal

If COA is to preoccupied, we can do the Audit walang gastos, libre hindi kamuka ni Pullido malaki ang bayad. Ito Libre. Tutal mahilig si Pullido ng mabilisang filing (ala fixer sa Recto), eto kasuhan mo sa Ombudsman ang buong league based on the 3 items mentioned above. I can expand to make it top 10 pero magiging kilometric, magagalit si Professor Pechanco.

Lastly, what makes these morons think that we are idiots?

    Makapag coffee muna.

    Chabs,

Nakakatawa ang interview ng gagong si Evardone. He did not know his own bank! Dapat diyan ay mag-asawang batok!

Gloria doesn’t need oppositions/critics to bring her down, nandiyan si Evardone, Bunye, Puno, Ass and gunggong na minions.

    BY DENNIS GADIL ( http://www.malaya.com)

JOSE de Venecia III, the whistle-blower in the $329 million national broadband deal with China’s ZTE Corp., has told a technical working group of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee that First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo was the “coach” who packaged the entire NBN deal with the help of resigned elections chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. as “captain ball.”

Ed at JJ Mendoza.

Now that Evardone is in the defensive, ipasuka sa kanya ang documentation sa mga claims nila.

  21. chi - October 25, 2007 1:59 am

    Totie,

Right!

Evardone is one of the congenital liars, whose lying personality he shares with Gloria and her minions. To claim responsibility for this bribe-giving is just a coverup for Malacanan, and another way of fooling the people how this bogus regime uses taxpayers’ money to advance its evil agenda.

Why haven’t the other tongressmen and greedy officials spoken up? Where are those millions of pesos that passed hands in Malacanan?

    Shame on you pigs!

Tarantado kayo. Estupido Ben Evardone!

Punggok’s spin master believed that a lie told often enough becomes truth, it would take a volume to list the lies. They are terrorizing our country with lie after lie after lie. Cover up, hide, delay, distort do anything to prevent an investigation into the lies.

Gumising ka na bayan! Our country is heading into an abyss, powered by a litany of lies orchestrated to distort the aims of midget illegal president to hold on power to continuing path of destruction. We Pinoy have two choices. Follow blindly or condemn the Liars.

There must be a cry of outrage, rather than the silence of acquiescence. There has to be support for the legislators who demand investigations that may uncover the truth. There has to be a clear demand for accountability.

The physically-challenged lady governor further said never in the past three years as first-time governor of Isabela did she get even a single cent from LPP.

Sec. Atienza to help Antique’s coastal communities… DENR Sec. Lito Atienza, a close friend of Gov. Sally Z. Perez, will release fund for the coastal resource management of the province, said Gov. Perez during the Provincial Coastal Resource Symposium on October 9….This fund will be equally divided to three coastal alliances of the province – LIPASECU, CAMCRAME and COASTHAVEN…..When I went to your province two or three years ago, I saw the poverty along the coastal areas, I remembered it and saw that there is a fund for coastal resource management for coastal towns,” Perez quoted Atienza….Although it is not yet clear how much is the fund, Gov.Perez said that she is going to “follow up” it.

Perez said that it is part of the strengthening of the coastal alliances.

Hindi kasi natuloy ang ZTE eh (at wala ata siyang share) at you CyberSpace ay malabo (wala rin ata siyang share) kaya mabagal ang communications…But whatever the answer it probably would be not true..pero I will wait…

  55. rose - October 25, 2007 7:35 am

Yuko: Macasaet in his column said that Ermita is here in the US because Goria’s boat is fast sinking kaya he is playing safe..ganoon din ata si Mendoza..both from Batangas. They are playing it safe for themselves and not because they are against Goria. I just wonder if both have a lot of money with them. What saddens me and really frustrates me is that instead of keeping their money in the Phil.. where it could be used for the development of the country they are taking their personal funds out because they can not and do not trust our banks. This is not what we were taught in our banking and finance courses…

Sabi nga, once a magnanakaw, always a magnanakaw. Totoo iyan kasi ang pagnanakaw at sakit!

  58. rose - October 25, 2007 7:40 am

Another thing I read today is “nanawagan daw, kuno ang CBCP for Goria to resign and if not they will call on the people power”..I wish I can believe them..Influential bishops? to call on her to resign? Ang sabihin lang ni Goria..How much is that doggie bag in the window? Want it? And all will be quiet..Mabuti pa seguro si Manalo ang kumausap kay Goria..whose gory days are ahead..ours or hers? Sana it is her head…

  59. chi - October 25, 2007 8:23 am

    Rose,

With that CBCP news, I’m holding my breath. Hahahah!

Thanks, Atty. I’ll visit Ping’s website.

Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto denied she got any cash gift in Malacañang, although she was present when it was distributed.

“Please don’t drag me into this. I’m just a new governor. I don’t want to be distracted from my job,” the actress-turned-politician said.

  69. chi - October 25, 2007 9:28 am

    Pechanco,

Never maniwala ako kay Vilma.

Vilma Santos brags that there’s no more jueteng in Batangas; but among the big time operators is one who contributed significantly to her campaign last election.

He’s now actively pursuing the ZTE deal scam. Let’s see…

So that means when he retires 2 Star General lang siya at hindi Quatro.

pc: thanks for the info. San Jose Antique has not changed much..I was supposed to go home last June to attend Boy Ex oath taking but couldn’t get a cheap price..it would have been ok if not for the fact that I had to be back in two weeks time. I hope to be home for the Holy Week and longer in 2008..as my song is still “Mauli gid takon sa Antique” have you heard it? Nami..raku gid nga salamat.. btw a very good friend of mine did a research on the “comedia” and found it still alive in Hamtic..she enjoyed and always do each time she goes to Antique for her studies. She is from Bacolod though. are you familiar with the “comedia”? it was our entertainment during the fiestas in addition to the movie sa Plaza (thanks to Purico) and bring your own bangko.

  81. rose - October 25, 2007 11:57 am

pechanco: you mentioned “jueteng”..I went to San Juan Batangas to visit my in laws (my late husband was from there) and was so amazed at how this runner for “jueteng” could remember all the bets without a piece of paper to list the numbers down. Another thing that amazed me not only in Batangas but also in Antique..is how the guy sa sabungan could remember the bets..again without a piece of paper to jot down the bets.. At the time I went to San Juan, de Villa was the chief of staff…

Businessman Jose de Venecia III said Neri told him the details of his conversation with Mrs. Arroyo about the bribe offer from Abalos. Neri had earlier told the Senate that Abalos offered him the bribe in exchange for his approval of the $329 million national broadband network contract between the government and China’s ZTE Corp.
“The President told Secretary Neri, ‘Bakit hindi mo tinanggap? (Why didn’t you take it?)’ Neri replied, ‘Ma’am, hindi po ako ganoong klaseng tao (I am not that kind of person),” de Venecia told the Senate.

“It was only at this point that the President said, ‘Huwag mo ng tanggapin, pero i-approve mo ang project (Don’t take it but approve the project),’” he added.

Evardone was a former reporter of Malaya. We were the pioneers of malaya way back in 1983, Marcos time. He was a student leader/activist during his days at the Unviersity of the East.

Sayang talaga. He turned out to be trapo.

  91. Ka Enchong - October 25, 2007 3:56 pm

Ang title, “Roel Pulido’s Scrap of Paper”.

    Atorni:

After reading Roel Pulido’s Scrap of Paper, I have begun wondering why those who really want an authentic impeachment filed against Aling Gloria did not see the simplicity and the logic you presented. I do hope, they will see this.

You argue that Pulido had no verifiable personal knowledge of his allegations. San Luis, when interpellated after his endorsement, also made a laughing stock of himself by acting as if he did not even read the contents of the paper he signed. So, diyan pa lang, unverified na kaagad ang complaint, therefore, there is no impeachment complaint filed, much less, initiated.

The requirement of personal knowledge places Joey DV in the best position to file the complaint, then. Kaya lang, will he do it?

  92. Ka Enchong - October 25, 2007 4:15 pm

Local government officials of Pampanga trooped to Malacañang to hold a rally to show their support to President Arroyo and decry actions of Pampanga Governor Eddie Panlilio over a ‘cash gift’ controversy. -ABS-CBN News Report

This is proof most elected local officials are no longer in touch with their constituents with regards to what is right and what is wrong.

Among Ed was elected by a majority of Pampangos at large most probably on the assumption that he is more righteous than his rivals, and certainly despite having no real campaign kitty to oil a political machinery. These mayors may have been elected on the basis of the money that flowed out from their campaign funds.

Between Among Ed and his mayors, who can really be representing the will of Pampanga?

  95. broadbandido - October 25, 2007 5:48 pm

Why is it that there are many radicals, i.e., rallyista nung panahon ni Marcos, who became corrupt as soon as they are in the government. nag-i-ingay lang ba sila para makakuha ng puwesto sa gobyerno para sila naman ang makakurakot? I know of a few (but can’t remember their names) from Kabataang Makabayan who turned to the dark side.

  96. krunck - October 25, 2007 5:50 pm

Migthy Ellen, I agree with you. Kawawa talaga bansa natin. Kung sabagay, ayaw maalis ng nakakasukang administrasyon ang pagiging top nocher natin bilang isa sa pinaka-corrupt na bansa sa buong mundo kaya they find ways to cover up this FP (Fake Pres.) that we have. Sabi nga sa isang movie, “What Lies Beneath”. I’ll rate them -0

Arroyo pardons Estrada. Who will pardon Arroyo in the near future?

Estrada may have been guilty of graft and corruption. Aling Gloria appears to be guilty of much more than that- including orchestrating (with her husband) and benefiting from a coup d’etat in 2001, and another coup d’etat (with Garci), though electorally, in 2004.

Estrada said he believed that there would be a grand homecoming party for his father.

  110. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 6:46 pm

Funny, Ka Enchong, never thought that Estrada’s son was ever a part of the Opposition. He was his father’s son that was all. The minute he sided with Villar to kill Ping Lacson’s chances of becoming Blue Ribbon committee chair, that was it for me… I knew he was up to something.

Can’t blame him — his father is in prison.

I have respect for a very limited number of our senators today.

  111. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 6:47 pm

If ever, I’ve got much more respect for Jamby Madrigal — at least she gets in there fighting like a tornado.

Off topic: PINALAYA NA SI ERAP!

  113. Ka Enchong - October 25, 2007 6:56 pm

Funny, Ka Enchong, never thought that Estrada’s son was ever a part of the Opposition. He was his father’s son that was all.

Kung sa bagay, tama ‘yan. I’d like to see how this pardon would change his tone as he participates in the next Senate inquiries.

  114. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 7:01 pm

    Luz,

I doubt very much that Gloria’s govt will assasinate Erap… What for? She’s got Erap and his son and wife in the Senate to lend her a hand now. Getting Erap killed will make a martyr out of him or he is NO martyr.

He could have been a martyr had he decided to go the whole prison hog.

Gloria is sometimes dumb but not always.

  115. broadbandido - October 25, 2007 7:02 pm

What the f…!!! Unano is just paving the way for her own pardon just in case she gets hauled to jail like Erap. Mahusay din talaga ang dimonya.

  116. luzviminda - October 25, 2007 7:09 pm

    Anna,

In the eyes of the poor ay matagal na nang martyr and hero si Erap. Erap remains to be threat in Gloria’s political carreer.

  117. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 7:10 pm

    Heheheh! Broadbandido, spot on!

But I think, she has a far more short term sinister motive — she probably announced the pardon today so that whatever noises that will be made by those who supported her in Edsa 2 and who have been against this pardon will drown out the payola scandals as well as the ZTE-NBN scandals that are hogging the headlines today.

  118. luzviminda - October 25, 2007 7:10 pm

Neknek niya!

  119. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 7:12 pm

    Luz,

Maybe you’re right but again, what could Gloria obtain out of assasinating Erap? She has more to lose if that happens — baka diyan tuluyan na mag rebolusyon ang mga mahirap.

  120. duren - October 25, 2007 7:13 pm

This is the right time to stop all the noises and unite for a common goal…making Philippines one of the best countries in the world! And I myself will do everything I can para ipagmalaki sa mga kasama ko dito na the best ang pinoy. Magkaisa na tayo, panahon na.

Shall we move on and forget all about these things?

Ang sagot ba naman ay wala pa raw “spokesman ang lpp” and he is still “out of the country” ng mga oras na iyon para bang walang telepono or any communication system sa pinuntahan niyang bansa. grabe!!!

It’s a done deal, this pardoning of Erap, who is making a collateral of the Filipino people for his freedom. I wonder what his friend, FPJ, in the world of spirits now thinks of him.

As I have stated earlier, enough of presenting Filipinos with only one option, the choosing between two evils.

  131. Ka Enchong - October 25, 2007 7:29 pm

What the f…!!! Unano is just paving the way for her own pardon just in case she gets hauled to jail like Erap. Mahusay din talaga ang dimonya.

Any future president will have no incentive in pardoning Aling Gloria. Erap remains extremely popular, while Aling Gloria has been languishing even below the cellar popularity-wise.

The strategy is the age-old divide and rule. Civil society had been divided between the Oust GMA and the Move On crowds. Pardon may have pleased the Erap support base (which has been with the Oust GMA crowd all along), but it would definitely alienate the Move On crowd.

But I have a gut feeling, the move on crowd will just move on and forget.

So, the moro-moro of Gloria is not finished yet as she expects Erap to run for presidency in 2010, win and pardons her. Crap!

I wish I could offer you a better solution in the case of Gloria, but all I can ask everyone is to believe in the system once more and leave the investigation to the proper forums.

I guess, most of us here believe in the system. While a majority here would want to see Aling Gloria go, I am yet to hear (read) anybody advocating for the abolition of the presidency. It is important to note that these tirades are directed against the occupant (legal, or otherwise) and not against the office.

Let us not let the procrastinators from the Senate na walang ginawa kung hindi ang magpa interview at manira ng pangalan na sirain ang ating magandang kinabukasan.

Isn’t the Senate part of the system? Isn’t Senate a proper forum?

I beg to differ. Public office is public trust. Those who are in government mus be as clean as Caesar’s wife. I believe that whenever, or wherever, a public official, especially the highest among them, is dragged into controversies such as the ones we are witnessing now, the rule must be reversed- She is guilty unless she proves beyond reasonable doubt that she is innocent.

  147. ystakei - October 25, 2007 7:48 pm

    Anna,

Liars do not remember in fact what they say. Kaya paiba-iba. I’ve encountered a lot of them in the police, court, etc. that I interpret for. Magaling magpalit ng statement. Buti na lang masipag ang mga pulis dito na mag-take down ng mga statements nila in Japanese that I translate in their own language and then ask them to sign the statement.

Over here, pag paiba-iba ang sinasabi, ibig sabihin nagsisinungaling and that will be bad and disadvantageous especially when judgement of the court is based heavily on the written statements given during the investigation of the case, for over here trials are held only to find out the corrigibility of the accused. if judged incorrigible, automatically the punishment is death or life.

Itong si unano, I bet you, walang pag-asang magbago iyan. Satanic advocates do not deserve any pardon as a matter of fact.

Despite the legalese proliferating in favour of Arroyo, i.e., where are your proofs? , like Ka Enchong, I believe that holding public office especially at that level is a matter of trust. This doctrine becomes all the more useful when a leader at that level is besieged by accusations, left right and center for corruption practices.

So I completely agree with Ka Enchong when he says that “I believe that whenever, or wherever, a public official, especially the highest among them, is dragged into controversies such as the ones we are witnessing now, the rule must be reversed- She is guilty unless she proves beyond reasonable doubt that she is innocent.”

If he is referring to that, he might have a point. The mere fact that Estrada asked for forgiveness or pardon from Gloria is tantamoun to recognizing that her induction to the presidency in Jan 2001 as very legal. (Just my thought on the Nograles verbal caper.)

  159. chi - October 25, 2007 8:09 pm

I see, maybe this is the reason why we always prefer their resignation first, and shout Gloria Resign! whenever new accusations pop into the open. Is this what we call good and mature democracy?

  161. chi - October 25, 2007 8:13 pm

I agree with Ka Enchong, “I don’t see the relevance of this pardon move to Aling Gloria’s legitimacy. Anong kinalaman ni Erap sa “Hello Garci”?”

  169. AdeBrux - October 25, 2007 8:23 pm

The charges against Erap were brought in 6 years ago, way before the 2004 elections so there’s no question that this pardon has anything to do with the 2004 elections.

This pardon is politically motivated as the toppling of Estrada was personally motivated too by Gloria’s desire to be in power in 2001, something she and her husband were already preparing for a whole year before she was inducted by Chief Injustice Davide.

So trust in the system is preserved, because people sacrifice personal fortunes for the good of the people (the system). After all, they are supposed to be public servants.

As far as the treasury is concerned, sa palagay ko naman walang nakurakot si Erap.

Sabi ko sa kaniya iyong pagpapadala ng pera even through PNB, Metrobank, and Landbank dahil wala silang lisensiya to operate as regular banks, ay black-marketing.
