Only 20 journalists are left at the Manila Peninsula Hotel, including myself. We are holed up in several of the hotel’s function rooms, along with with Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim, the other Magadalo officers and their supporters as authorities begin their assault on the hotel.
I’m inside the Rizal Room. Also in the room are Bibeth Orteza, Francisco “Dodong” Nemenzo, Bishop Julio Labayen, former vice president Teofisto Guingona and his daughter Marie, Argee Guevarra, Herman Tiu Laurel and J. V. Bautista.
Bottled water and moistened face towels, some provided by the hotel, are being passed around.

It seems that our dear senator *ucked the chance to make this event succesful.
Why I said that… His statements makes his fight more personal than for the country. He shouldnt say the crap about the disrespect GMA made to his mandate as senator.
And as a senator in bars he was getting all the sympathy and respect of MANY ’til his stupendous move last Thursday. He has a better chance of fighting it out in the senate or from his cell RATHER THAN THIS UNTIMELY MOVE OF HIS.
Guys, please dont get me wrong, we are on the same boat here… I hate GMA the way you hate her but this Trillanes thing just blew up the chance for a better fight last Friday where things are really on sched. His arrogance made the people paid off.
