President Arroyo and Cabinet members yesterday walked from the Premier Guest House to the State Dining Room in Malacañang and had their pictures taken for what the Palace said was a “solidarity walk.”

The President and her key officials usually walk to Guest House, which is about 50 meters away from the State Dining Room, for the Cabinet meeting. Group pictures are taken before and after the Cabinet meeting which is regularly held at the State Dining Room.

“We went through the process of having all the Cabinet members gather together and have a photo opportunity with the President just to show the people that’s there’s no truth to the efforts of people against her,” said Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita.

He said it was a Cabinet initiative and “it was not even directed by the President.”

Deputy presidential spokesman Anthony Golez said aside acting Higher Education chairman Romulo Neri, who walked beside the President, all Cabinet members joined the walk except for three who are out of the country or out of town.

They are Secretaries Arthur Yap (agriculture) and Jesli Lapus (education) who are abroad and Bayani Fernando, chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Bayani Fernando who just arrived in Manila.

The “solidarity walk” was held a day after Ermita released a joint statement of Cabinet officials expressing support for Arroyo, who is subject of renewed resignation calls.

The fresh resignation calls were triggered by allegations of payoffs in the national broadband network project which was allegedly brokered by resigned Elections chairman Benjamin Abalos who allegedly offered Neri a P200 million bribe for the project’s approval. Neri was chairman of the National Economic Development Authority when negotiations for the project, which was later awarded to the Chinese firm ZTE Corp., were being held.

The statement of support followed calls made Sunday by about 60 former Cabinet officials in the Aquino, Ramos, Estrada and Arroyo administrations for the sitting Cabinet men to quit and expose wrongdoings in the Arroyo government.

Ermita said the walk was not theatrics or “drama.”

Ermita said the solidarity walk followed a fellowship dinner he hosted for the Cabinet members Monday. It was at that dinner the Cabinet men signed the statement rejecting the call of former Cabinet men.

He said the dinner was not a loyalty check. It was meant to let the Cabinet men “that everything is okay and we have to show the world that we are together.”

Ermita said Arroyo dropped by the dinner and thanked them for their continued support.

First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo said he and his family are “okay” despite allegations of corruption over the NBN project.

Arroyo, in a blue shirt, jogging pants and running shoes, smiled at reporters and lensmen who were waiting for officials to interview him at the Palace lobby while the Cabinet meeting was going on.

“I’m okay. The family is okay,” he said as he went up the Rizal Hall staircase.

He said he had just had therapy, since he is still recovering from heart surgery last April.

Mr. Arroyo has been accused before the Ombudsman of lobbying for the $329 million NBN contract.

Ermita rejected the term “evil” which was allegedly used by Neri is describing President Arroyo. The description was made public Monday by Rodolfo Noel “Jun” Lozada, the Senate’s star witness in its investigation on the NBN-ZTE contract.

Neri has said he did not recall describing Arroyo as evil.

“Obviously she’s not. My golly naman!” he said.

He said it is difficult to believe Lozada who he said might have some plans or agenda of his own.

“He has his own scheme, grand designs. What else can you expect from that guy? If he’s capable of doing what he did in a bigger sense, I don’t see why he is not capable of saying the same things. Maybe he will say something else in the future. I think we should not dignify that,” he added.

Funny, that’s exactly what I thought as soon as the picture hit my screen! Hehe!

  2. AdeBrux - February 19, 2008 11:24 pm

That will be the longest walk.

  3. chi - February 19, 2008 11:27 pm

Neri has said he did not recall describing Arroyo as evil.

“Obviously she’s not. My golly naman!”

My golly naman, Romy. She is! Why so coy about it?

Heto ang masakit “Edsa II a mistake, says CBCP head
‘We went from frying pan to fire’ (

Same thought…Dapat continous ang rally otherwise she will not be pressured. Now that CBCP called for a “brand-new people power” to address the current political crisis, medyo lalo ng lumakas ang panawagan.

  6. chi - February 19, 2008 11:32 pm

“Solidary Walk”, show of defeat! Alis dyan na already!!!

Frankly, even I could have told him that myself then…

I agree 100 percent WITHOUT kickbacks!

They should have MORE solidarity walks which will be good for their health!

    Wouldn’t it be nice…..

They seriously consider ONE final solidarity walk all the way out the gate of the Palace….

  10. AdeBrux - February 19, 2008 11:40 pm

Noli de Castro? Is he a member of Gloria’s cabinet now? I thought he was the ‘elected’ VP?

  11. tikbalang - February 19, 2008 11:41 pm

  12. Ellen - February 19, 2008 11:43 pm

Anna, De Castro is Housing secretay.

  13. rose - February 19, 2008 11:46 pm

But when I come to think of is also the color representing the Holy Spirit..the fire of love..God’s unconditional is also the color of love..kaya nga red roses..ang puso ay red..ang dugo ay red..ang tanong ko lang kay GMA at sa mga alipores ang pag mamahal pa ni Gloria is a fire of love for the people? o sa kanyang sarili? Siya lang makasabi niyan..ang dasal ko lang..”come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful.” sana maging faithful si Gloria sa tunay na meaning nang puso..

  14. AdeBrux - February 19, 2008 11:49 pm

Is that so? Didn’t know – thanks for the info, Ellen.

  15. chi - February 19, 2008 11:50 pm

  17. AdeBrux - February 19, 2008 11:57 pm

Baka kinurakot iyong housing fund…

  18. rose - February 20, 2008 12:01 am

..this maybe off tangent pero..narinig ko ang sinabi ng apo at ang anak ni Abalos..bakit daw ikinikupkup ng mga pari at madre si Lozada at familia niya sa La Salle Greenhills ay wala pang evidences..(parang scripted ang words) laban sa Lolo nila (dalawang apo ang nagsalita). At nagsalita din ang anak ni Abalos..what evidences are they looking for?..Most evidences are in the hands of Abalos..and he can give the answers..bakit hindi nila tanungin ang Lolo nila na harap harapan. Why not face the people with the questions they want to be answered sa Lolo Lozada harapharapan niyang sinasabi na hindi niya alam kung ano any isasagot sa mga anak sa itinanong na “if we are doing the right thing why are we on the run”. May sabi kaya ng apo ni Abalos sa Lolo nila na..if you indeed did they rights thing why all this mess in our lives?” kung may galit sila sa mga brothers sa La Salle di alisin nila doon (lumipat sila sa Ateneo o sa San Beda) ang daming escuelahan..kung may sakit sila ng loob sa Catholic church ni mag Iglesia di Manilo sila (Christians din ang mga iyon)..religion is just a venue to God..kung saan sila comfortable di doon sila..pero if they want to follow the words of Christ..go for the truth, for the truth will set you for justice for God governs His people with justice..hindi mahirap ma intindihan pero mahirap gagawin..isn’t it so Mr. Neri? Mr. Abalos? Madame President? True it puts the strain on the children’s friendship..

  19. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 12:04 am

What is utterly gobsmacking is how on earth our politicians, govt officials who started from ZERO, from scratch, with just their pay in their pocket (and some of them dirt poor), became isntant multi-millionaires after a few years in politics and as govt officials.

How can they justify owning million dollar properties, fat bank accounts, a lavish lifestyle, etc. by receiving what is unarguably low pay?

I do accept that in a democracy driven nation (ahem!), every single tom, dick and harry has a chance of achieving a lifestyle when he/she works hard for it but by gum when you enter politics, eg., Mike Pidal Jr, straight from some office work and earning a miserly few thousand dollars, how could you declare multi-million dollar assets after a couple of years with an equally miserable official pay?

    Simple arithmetic.

  20. chi - February 20, 2008 12:05 am

    Talaga, Anna.

He was my distant neighbor before we left Pinas. We were inside a subdivision, and Kabayad was in a Bliss house outside na baku-bako ang daan!

Tapos, he already have a multi-million house in Dasma while I’m still poor! Unfair! I’m working to death and dollars pa ang salary ko!

  21. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 12:07 am

So, question now is how did Kabayan Housing de Castro get his several millions? Even his entire year’s pay can’t buy two brand new cars, eg., Volvo V90 and a Jaguar Executive! Yet he is purported to be owning a house now in Dasmarinas Village! Wow!

  22. balweg - February 20, 2008 12:14 am

Re: ““Edsa II a mistake, says CBCP head”

Frankly, even I could have told him that myself then

    Kgg. AdeBrux,

Kaya pala these corrupt cabinet officials had a “solidarity” walk with the high priestess of evil. They’re so conveniently living with our (taxpayers) money.

Hang them all! Or shoot en masse!

  24. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 12:16 am

    Chi, just incredible.

That’s why I said, I will NOT BELIEVE anyone in Pinas who rose from rags to riches while claiming he/she was clean! No way! Absolutely no way!

Like you, even me! I work part time and I make a lot more than what Kabayan makes in a year yet I can’t pretend to be as rich as this fellow Noli de Castro (and I bet my family in the Philippines started off “richer” in life than he did).

    Reason is I’m not kurakot!

Also, Chi, even with my husband’s annual income which is already the equivalent of several (I mean several) years of Kabayan’s salary, we will be hard put to buy a Dasma house worth more than 4 million dollars. Imagine this VP de Castro is by all account richer than the president of France or the French prime minister and richer than most of the French or UK cabinet officials who did not at all start life by being poor!

Any European will be gobsmacked at our government officials’ and politicians’ brazen display of corruption!

  25. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 12:24 am

Sorry pero ano ba ibig sabihin niyang Kgg. AdeBrux?

  26. balweg - February 20, 2008 12:31 am

Ibig sabihin Kgg. AdeBrux eh kurap din yang si Kabayan, magkano ba ang kanyang sweldo at nakabili siya ng mga tinukoy mo na only rich and underworld criminals can buy or acquired it.

  27. balweg - February 20, 2008 12:35 am

AdeBrux we are using this word “Kgg. meaning, Kagalanggalang” if we are making a formal Tagalog letter address to a respected and/or Honorable person et al.

I used this word to ALL of you as a sign of respect bilang ka-Ellenville fellows.

  28. Diego K. Guerrero - February 20, 2008 12:36 am

    Ah, ok. Thanks, Balweg.

  30. Toney Cuevas - February 20, 2008 12:43 am

The title of the subject should’ve been, “Desperation Walk”, instead. Or, “The Brown Bags Gang of Thieves”. Only a wish of mine, perhaps, one or two TNT could’ve stop corruption at the stinking Pasig River, at least for awhile, anyway. And, it would be nice if only we’ve the power to confiscate the private bank accounts of those thieves walking with “dimonyong Gloria. My opinion, probably, enough to pay for the Philippines national debt, and rescue the future of the new generation. But, the truth is, dimonyong Gloria is much smarter that many of us than we given credit, since bogus Gloria still stinking the stinking Pasig River as the testimony to the fact. What happen to the ulan or bagyo when you most need it?

  31. grizzy - February 20, 2008 12:44 am

She may just as well enjoy her fake solidarity walk, for I bet you, her companions may be just as nervous, for soon, no doubt about that, the idiot will be having her solitary walk. That will be the day, and soon, very soon, let’s pray!!! Tulog muna ako!

  32. grizzy - February 20, 2008 12:45 am

I surely would like to sing the idiot the song, “I Walk Alone” or something more poignant! All the more reason why we should all try to “kunsumi” the idiot!

  33. Toney Cuevas - February 20, 2008 12:46 am

Red dress would’ve been an easy target, if there is only a Toro at the site…Did anybody ordered the kidlat while the Brown Bags Thieves are walking?

  34. grizzy - February 20, 2008 12:47 am

Trying hard na magsipsip si Neri. Kaya I doubt that he is Cayetano’s mystery man. I bet you, the criminal will again invoke her EO666! :-P

  35. Toney Cuevas - February 20, 2008 1:05 am

I counted exactly 25 Brown Bags magnanakaw sa litrato, aka modern isla Pilipinong Alibaba. If only the Ombudsman people are not owned by dimonyong Gloria, they could’ve a grand time checking the moderare greed or patriotic money lifestyle of each one of them Alibaba.

  36. grizzy - February 20, 2008 1:14 am

Kundi ba namang idiotic, bakit nagprusisyon pa. Look at the Malacanang staff, nakasilip sa bintana, etc. Hindi lang makahagikgik sa tawa sila kasi baka pagalitan sila, but I bet you tawang-tawa na sila kasi parang mga gago’t gaga na inuuto ng isang sira ang ulo! Trying hard to amuse the demonya for how much, I wonder! Grrrrrrrrrr!

Blame Cory Aquino for it. Then I had a friend who was undersec in some department there. A lot many at taga-Ateneo daw, and are tied more to the Fatso.

Baka matauhan sila.

Hopefully, before the next scheduled SONA wala na iyan. Gotta fast for it.

She is evil?

Kaya may perang pangkurakot si Talandi. Patitignan namin sa abogado namin ngayon kung may hitch against the law na ginawa and then have the Filipinos here file a litigation against Gloria Dorovobitch, et al.

  45. Isagani - February 20, 2008 2:54 am

This Neri is like a dog with its tail between its legs, running scared. His fear has turned him so completely. Now it’s self denial and pretty soon it would be he whose greed would need moderation. He has two years to make good, to make his back stabbing pay!

Political prostitute talaga!

  48. joeltan65 - February 20, 2008 3:59 am

Bakit kasama sina Gen Esperon at Gen Razon? Hindi naman sila cabinet members. They are just mere bureau chiefs! Napaka bad taste.

  49. TurningPoint - February 20, 2008 4:35 am

Para sa akin, itong solidary walk is an ego trip by Gloria Arroyo.

Pagmasdan ninyo, how proud she was with all her kowtowing men and two women in her 4’10″ frame.

Very good point! Anna. Well taken.

Saba nga “Birds of the same feathers, flocks together”.

Only in the Philippines.

  55. luzviminda - February 20, 2008 5:27 am

    Chi, Anna,

Kaya ayun tumakbo as VP ni Gloria. At mayroon pang latest…

Noli Kabayad is FOR SALE, indeed!

    Tama ka Chi,

Kabayad is FOR SALE! Ang CHEAP ano?!

Some Ellenville citizens might be asking who are those in the SOLIDARITY WALK to be lined up with the first family when they are hanged or shot in Plaza Miranda. Here’s what was posted in Malacanang website:

“All the Cabinet members were present during the “solidarity walk” except those who are out of the country.

    1. Vice President Noli de Castro,

2.Commission on Higher Education Chair Romulo Neri,

3.Social Welfare and Development Secretary Esperanza Cabral,

4.Science and Technology Secretary Estrella Alabastro,

5.Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane,

6.Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Lito Atienza,

    7.Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr.,

8.Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson Ignacio R.

    9. Presidential Management Staff Director-General
    Cerge Remonde,

    10. Cabinet Secretary Ricardo Saludo and

    11. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Bayani Fernando were among those who took the “solidarity walk.”

Also present were Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr. and Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Avelino Razon.

The Cabinet men stressed that they would not be swayed by political noise and that they are proud to be working with the President in improving the lives of the people.”

My question is: WHERE are the Secretaries of

    Trade and Industry
    National Defense
    Foreign Affairs
    Labor and Employment
    Interior and Local Government

Are these Secretaries in the photo but not mentioned
In the Malacanang website? All of them taking the 8 mile? Are they LYING again?

May kasong kinakaharap ngayon yang si Noli Kabayad at misis niya, BIGAMY! At I-Lifestyle Check na dapat ngayon pa lang.

  61. jePRoCKs - February 20, 2008 5:59 am

I have a feeling that this “solidarity walk” picture is similar to the “Last supper”. (The last time all participants were together for the last time.) I hope this is prophetic. Time for you to GO guys…keep on walking and don’t let the door hit you from behind.

  62. haji - February 20, 2008 6:24 am

I think you’re right Jep, Nasaan kaya si Hudas? diyan.

To think that Neri even heads Education. I do not know what kind of a role model he can be to kids. HE IS A VERY BAD EXAMPLE!

BILIS! GLORIA! TAKBO!! to avoid bloody confrontation…………..

  66. atty36252 - February 20, 2008 7:42 am

Sino diyan, ang katulad ni Rene A V Saguisag, who stuck to Erap till the last minute?

That red dress she’s wearing — I bet it’s Prada.

  68. grizzy - February 20, 2008 9:19 am

What a sham! Er, what a shame that these political appointees, et al should agree to walk around the palace with the evil woman! For what? Napapataas lang ang kilay ng mga tao in disgust at this attempt to make the people believe another lie. Solidarity, my ass! Parang nakakaloko ang dating sa totoo lang! Pwe!

  70. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 9:26 am

I don’t think it’s Prada — she has a wardrobe mistress who goes copying designs and adjusting them to suit her lil pugilist frame.

  71. Golberg - February 20, 2008 9:27 am

HKofw: “Birds of the same feather, flock together.”

Marami ang mas gustong sabihin na “Birds of the same feather, are the same birds.” Kung hindi uwak, mga bwitre.

  72. grizzy - February 20, 2008 9:28 am

Please do not allure this crazy attempt of the dorobo to hoodwink the public of being in control to a holy event, especially when we do not see any of these people who have allowed themselves to be laughed at and ridiculed doing a Judas Escariot! Why don’t we just say, “parang “Dead Man Walking,” mass walking nga lang to their doom! :-P

  73. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 9:30 am

Gosh, Edong Ermita is soooooo fat!

  74. grizzy - February 20, 2008 9:31 am

Now, it’s solidarity walk daw. Soon it will be a solitary walk with her husband, brother-in-law and perhaps children following her to the firing squad!!!

  75. TonGuE-tWisTeD - February 20, 2008 9:32 am

Solidarity…solidarity…soli da money dapat!, Hoy soli nyo pera namin! Mga magnanakaw!

Sarap sagasaan ng traktora. Yung MF205 Combine Cane Harvester.

If your convictions about her is is such, it doesn’t matter whether you said it or not. It’s that simple!

Totoo kayang COMMISSIONs are HIGHER in EDUCATION?

  76. grizzy - February 20, 2008 9:33 am

Anna: Gosh, Edong Ermita is soooooo fat!

Ikaw na ang kumain ng lechon araw-araw. Next time, sila na ang lelechonin. But I won’t recommend eating them. Grotesque ba?

  77. TonGuE-tWisTeD - February 20, 2008 9:33 am

Got it, The Devil Wears Prada.

  78. juggernaut - February 20, 2008 9:35 am

Lets forgive ourselves for the EDSAs. If ever, those were our shining moments, an expression of our aspirations as a people, acts of passion to finally show to one and all that the Filipinos arae not quadriplegic, that we are capable of action not just words – for however fiery and articulate, without action, our words are cheapened. If there’s another need for another EDSA, lets go! (with or without the CBCP)

    Yuko, Anna:

That was my lame attempt at witticism.

  82. Golberg - February 20, 2008 9:59 am

  84. ace - February 20, 2008 10:03 am

May bagong witness daw.

New mystery witness has more ‘damning’ testimony…

“Once he has completed arrangements for the “security” of his family, the witness will divulge all he knows about the deal in a press conference sometime this week, the lawyer said.
But the lawyer said the witness he was referring to was different from the one earlier described by the chair of the Senate blue ribbon committee, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.”

  85. grizzy - February 20, 2008 10:06 am

Love this, Tongue. Maganda na naman ang araw ko!

Garbe ang hacking ng blog na ito. I made a test. Sinara ko ang blog ni Ellen after cleaning my PC of unwanted wares, registries, etc., malinis. May traffic pa.

Proof that this blog is monitored, but sabi nga, “Why me worry?”

Nakakainggit. Masasaya sila. Mayayaman at yumayaman pa! Nanloloko pah.

  90. chi - February 20, 2008 10:20 am

Iyon kasing Cayetano witness is uncommitted daw, natakot siguro kasi ang daldal ni AC e. Kaya siguradong iba ‘yan. Sana nga ay tuloy na.

  91. chi - February 20, 2008 10:22 am

  92. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 10:22 am

What? Cayetano’s witness is not committed?

Trying hard to amuse iyong siraulo kasi baka mag-alboroto. Time to make accounting of them as a matter of fact. Pati mga assets sa ibang bansa pinag-iinteresan. Ganid talaga. Another word is sakim!

Luz, paki provide dito ang link. thanks

  98. grizzy - February 20, 2008 10:44 am

I can’t blame the other witness. No wonder the probinsyanong intsik natakot noong una. Mabuhay sila for giving their brother the courage to be the accidental hero that he has become. Tignan monga iyong mga ingratong mga pilipino. Mukhang gusto ding malagyan ni Gloria Dorobo!

Sa amin, when you stand witness, kahit voluntary, may standard and customary per diem at saka transportation fee wala pang nananakot sa iyo.

Glad to hear that a lot many bigating lawyers have volunteered to defend him. God bless you guys! I won’t mention their names kasi baka ipadukot din sila!!!

  99. Ellen - February 20, 2008 10:46 am

Ace, check out “The Madriaga files on NBN/ZTE” here. Take note that the Inquirer report mentioned about the affidavit appearing in a political blog.

If you mean the harapan youtube, its at

I’m going to watch them from now.

  101. chi - February 20, 2008 10:59 am

OK, Yuko. Thanks, will watch it now also.

  102. grizzy - February 20, 2008 11:04 am

Kinilabutan ako doon sa sinabi ni Lozada regarding why he wanted to be in public service. Ngayon ko lang napanood ang Harapan interview niya, but you will note that I actually mentioned in another loop one of his probable reasons for trying to be with the biggies in the government—para sa kapatid niyang namatay.

Sa totoo lang, I find him very credible even when the crooks try hard to destroy his credibility, because I can relate to him. Mabait ang mamang ito, and most of all—very PATRIOTIC!

Sana gayahin siya ng iba pang pilipino who are put in the same situation. Please isipin naman nila ang bansa nila. OK back to the youtube.

  103. grizzy - February 20, 2008 11:13 am

Golly, may breaking of the rule na tungkol sa public bidding, ano pa ang ginagawang kalokohan nitong Abaloslos na ito na kung anu-ano pang kalokohang document ang ipinapakita? Tarantado!

grizzy, thank you for providing the link of harapan.

i am watching it now, at doon pa lang sa date ng dec 2 2006 na weekend na sinabi ni mr. lozada, eh totoo ngang weekend.

halata naman talaga na mr lozada is on the side of the truth. si abalos, hay naku, may credibility pa bang natitira??? sus naman patawarin, bitayin na yang $%%#@ taong yan.

  108. parasabayan - February 20, 2008 11:44 am

Anna, we were on the same wavelength on Alan Cayetano’s handling of the new witness. By processs of elimination, the DOROBO would have guessed that new “witness” in a second. Magaling ang radar niya, mafia style nga eh! Alan should have just kept his mouth shut even for a moment! He flaunts his cards all the time so yan nabibisto tuloy ng kalaban ang discarte!

  109. myrna - February 20, 2008 11:44 am

diego, kahit ganun ang nangyari sa harapan, na parang set-up kay lozada, i still believe, as majority of pinoys do, that he is the one telling the truth.

i was amused when it was shown jun lozada giggling and smiling all the time that abalos was presenting those bloody documents. hahahha. si abalos, pati si panelo, nakmukhang tungaw!!!

About 90% Haparan viewers believe Lozada is telling the truth. Puro kasungalingan sa panig ng Malacanang mob.

  111. balweg - February 20, 2008 12:10 pm

RE: Nasa Youtube na pala yung ‘Harapan’ hosted by Corina at Ricky.

Kgg. Luzviminda sa totoo lang eh napanood ko ang HARASAN na ito, i’m not hapi the way sa paghohost nina Corina at Ricky bakit ka mo…ganito yon, why they let these corrupt Pidalismo officials vs. Hon. Lozada?

  112. AdeBrux - February 20, 2008 12:13 pm

“Alan should have just kept his mouth shut even for a moment! He flaunts his cards all the time so yan nabibisto tuloy ng kalaban ang discarte!” — Parasabayan

Spot on! Why on earth did Cayetano feel the need to open his mouth on such a very sensitive item. I hope it’s not out of yabang…

And they’re not even friends (according to Cayetano himself.)

  113. balweg - February 20, 2008 12:16 pm

    Kgg. DKG,

  114. Diego K. Guerrero - February 20, 2008 12:29 pm

  115. cocoy - February 20, 2008 12:48 pm

    Razon–Hehehe! Hubarin mo na!
Noli–Teka tatawag muna ako at magdala sila ng tuwalya.

Kabayad is also supposed to be overseer of the OFWs kaya may kickback din siguro siya doon sa ipinagmamalaking remittances ng mga overseas workers.

Talaga naman ang utak ng mga kurakot. May prusisyon pa na akala mo naman talagang makaka-impress. Sa totoo lang, nakakasuka!!!

  118. ace - February 20, 2008 12:59 pm

Thanks for the link, I hope this witness will not change his mind ,credible and decide to take the route of Lozada, press conference right away for his protection then go to the senate to testify. He cannot afford to be double-minded and to dillydally or else he’ll be a dead meat.

  119. TurningPoint - February 20, 2008 1:01 pm

Going to this Solidarity Walk, I’m just wondering now why Neri is in front and walking beside Gloria Arroyo. Being Acting Chairman of CHED(he can’t be full time because he’s not qualified), protocol wise, he should be at the back. Senior cabinet members should be in front like Bunye, etc but not Neri who’s only a commissioner which makes him actually not a cabinet secretary. Maliwanag yan. My take is:

    1. Gloria Arroyo called for Neri to be at her side to show all is well between them and Neri is not the person being speculated as another Senate witness on zte-nbn higher than Lozada.

    2. Gloria Arroyo would like to have Neri to be at her side because if Neri is not within her sight, might whisper to other cabinet members that he really said Gloria Arroyo is evil.

    Ano pa?

  120. grizzy - February 20, 2008 1:05 pm

You said it. Naniniguro si punggok that Neri can’t influence the others to say the same things he and the others observe, di lang makahirit! Sayang kasi iyong 500K!

  121. grizzy - February 20, 2008 1:07 pm

Truth is majority of these kurakots must be thinking now of how they can balimbing when the opportune time comes.

  122. ace - February 20, 2008 1:14 pm

I was looking for Mendoza in the picture, I cannot find him. He’s the only one that has the needed information about the ZTE-NBN deal that has “no problem with his personal security”.

  123. parasabayan - February 20, 2008 1:44 pm

Ace, if it is Mendoza I do not think he will sing. This guy is in the league of asspweron, ebdane, reyes and other corrupted generals. The corruption is so deep. Those who are benefitted now can’t seem to get enough of the “good thing”. They are enjoying all the loot that are given them by the DOROBOS. I would say, if Mendoza changes his heart then he will truly be a convert. If that is the case, maybe may pagasa pa tayong magbago as a nation. Of course after the DOROBO is booted out!

  129. ace - February 20, 2008 2:20 pm

Cayetano is not sure if this witness is serious, bluffing and taking the Senate for a ride. So the logical thing to do is to up the ante by giving some hints as to the identity of this witness to find out if this witness is for real. I do not know of anyone in the administration as described by Cayetano that “knows something about the project” and “does not have a problem with his own security”(police/military man)except Mendoza.

  130. broadbandido - February 20, 2008 2:40 pm

It shows she has has not done a single thing that she promised. Liar!!!!!

  132. grizzy - February 20, 2008 3:08 pm

Frankly, it is all publicity. The more Filipinos lap up the publicity stunts of the idiot, the more they get the chance to dip their hands in the coffers. Tindiiiiiiii! It should definitely be stopped by all means.

Filipinos should be more vocal in the expressions of their anger and it does not mattter if every body goes with them or not. It can still have the same effect.

Take the protests and rallies now ongoing in Okinawa for instance. The US ambassador was even prompted to go and visit the bases there. He was met by a protest. Now through his recommendation, the US government has restricted the US troops there to the satisfaction of the Japaneese government, ( and there has been no attempt by the US embassy in Japan to meddle in the investigation of the police. Within a week or two the horny US soldier will be indicted and his trial will begin no later than April. Bakit hindi iyan magawa sa Pilipinas? Kasi walang nakakaalam na meron silang karapatan, more than what these crooks have concealed from them to enjoy!!!

Ang dami kasing mga Abu Gagu who acts as if they are infallible, high and mighty. Truth is one does not even have to be a lawyer to know what is prescribed in the laws of the land. Common sense lang naman.

Subject: Photos/Text: Environmental advocates want DENR cleaned of dirty governance

Clean governance should start right in the government’s very own Environment office, literally and figuratively.

In light of the NBN ZTE scandal and countless other dirty deeds of the Arroyo administration, members of Environmental and Natural Resource Advocates for GMA’s Expulsion (ENRAGED!) reconvened and launched a clean-up protest in front of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) office, where Arroyo’s top honcho Secretary Lito Atienza holds court.

Atienza, Patalsikin Din! Lahat ng mga kurakot at konsintidor, SIPAIN NA, NOW NA!

  134. broadbandido - February 20, 2008 3:54 pm

Malaki rin ang lagayan sa DENR because you cannot put up any major business kung walang environmental clearance.

May checkpoints kahit saan within the vicinity of the palace kaya kung may bumaril kay unano, alam mong galing sa AFP/PSG/PNP!

This undated handout artist rendering provided by Dan Klores Communications shows a Beelzebufo ampinga facing off against the largest known living Malagasy frog, Mantydactylus ampinga. A full -length pencil provide size perspective. A frog the size of a bowling ball, with heavy armor and teeth, lived among dinosaurs millions of years ago — intimidating enough that scientists who unearthed its fossils dubbed the beast Beelzebufo, or Devil Toad.

    Hi grizzy,

Did you hear that former Senator Ralph Recto, husband of actress Gov. Vilma Santos is being considered in PGMA’s cabinet? He’s desperate.

    Picture Two:

Joker Arroyo dati matinong nadenggoy ni Gloria? Ngeeeeek! Hindi totoo iyan. Ang sabihin mo, maraming matino ang nadenggoy niya. Opportunist din iyan. Never liked this guy as a matter of fact.

Tsismosa more like. Kaya by her standard, she judges others.

Aabangan natin yan dahil minsan sinabi na niya, nobody is above the law. Not even Mrs. Arroyo.

  158. ask12b1 - February 21, 2008 2:01 am

That’s very funny. Here’s Neri who called Gloria Arroyo as evil and then walked with her. He was walking with the evil.
That was not a solidarity of walk. That was a walk of death.

Ganito ang pag-uusap nina Neri at PGMA…PGMA: Tutoo bang tinawag mo akong evil?

Senator Alan Cayetano indirectly mentioned Sec. Teves as the new witness. If it’s true, we don’t understand why Alan Cayetano is saying it.

  159. TurningPoint - February 21, 2008 2:36 am

Regardng Sec. Teves, here’s an interesting portion in the column of Ernie Maceda @Daily Tribune:

Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos Recto admitted that former Sen. Ralph Recto has been offered the post of secretary of Finance. She even said finance is “Ralph’s expertise.” But of course, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita denied it because it may just make Secretary Gary Teves resign at this critical period. Now Sen. Ralph Recto also denies he has been offered the job. Is he saying his wife is lying?

Poor Gary Teves. He doesn’t know what to do.

  160. ask12b1 - February 21, 2008 3:00 am

Ermita said…”the elements of a successful People Power are just not there.”

Siguro sinadya ng ABS-CBN na mag-isa si Lozada to gain more sympathy taking into consideration Filipinos’ fondness for the underdog maliban na lamang kung sila mismo iyong nang-aapi. Part of the drama, ‘ika nga. If I am wrong about the ABS-CBN intention in favor of the criminal at the palace by the murky river, OK pa rin. Ironically, mas lalong naawa ang mga tao kay Lozada, buking ang ABS-CBN, and that is good!

Apparently, another proof that God works in a mysterious way. His ways are not the same as our ways. Kaya alam natin na nanloloko iyon mamang cultist. :-P

  163. Diego K. Guerrero - February 21, 2008 3:54 am

I agree. God works in a mysterious way. Akalain mo about 90% viewers bilib kay Lozada.

  164. ask12b1 - February 21, 2008 6:06 am

Mr. Guerrero, the other 10% who do not believe are members of the Arroyo family.

This solidarity walk is obviously just a propaganda. I remember Dinky Soliman and the other ladies in Malacanang even sang for PGMA to show their support. Not long after, Dinky was among the Hyatt 10 who resigned and asked for Arroyo’s resignation.

  165. TurningPoint - February 21, 2008 6:48 am

One angry OFW wrote in a blog:

All the people with PGMA in their Solidarity walk are walking in UNITY towards more greed and corruption. The entire team including VP Noli are all corrupt and only thriving on the OFWs remittances to keep the economy afloat but not because they are economic wizards. It’s now time for the OFWs to have their own solidarity. If we cannot withhold our remittances because it means our family will go hungry, let’s join the mass protest against this (p)resident evil who is bitching around for so long.

  166. ask12b1 - February 21, 2008 10:47 am

Kung pagmasdan niyo ang litrato nila, DOJ Sec. Gonzales was at the back at nahihirapan lumakad…dahil daw masakit ang kidney.

If this Sec. Teves is fired, the one who would be very upset is his dad.

  169. Gabriela - February 21, 2008 9:03 pm

    From Ulysses Loresto:

This unity walk drama by the GMA administration is another proof of the state of panic that Malacanang is now in. A day after after that scripted unity walk, Raul Gonzales is shown on TV expressing his disgust at Neri’s answer regarding the “evil” issue.

I thought the cabinet is united, why the bickering?! Curiously, during the walk, Neri & Gary Teves were placed right beside GMA. By the way, why is Neri even included in the unity walk? He is the CHED Chairman and not a cabinet secretary. Just curious.

  170. Mrivera - February 21, 2008 9:24 pm

  171. ask12b1 - February 21, 2008 11:37 pm

Correction…sinusubo (hindi kinakain) ang sariling salita. Subo is the right term instead of kain.

He, he, save your ass first di ba?
