“Military asset” in Ces Drilon kidnapping surrenders

From Inquirer: Ces is well, laughing – Indanan mayor

From GMA-7 online

The man believed to have a hand in the kidnapping in Sulu province of three mediamen and a university professor has surrendered to authorities.

In an interview with radio dzBB’s Benjie Liwanag in Sulu on Saturday, Major Gen. Juancho Sabban said the man identified as Juamil “Mameng” Biyaw went down the mountains and “voluntarily surrendered.”

*******
Biyaw said that on June 7, he and his “boss” Dinampo, picked up Drilon’s group from the SSC Hostel in Jolo, Sulu. He said they went to Timbangan, a village in the province’s Indanan town. The group was on board a yellow Tamaraw jeep.

Afterwards, Biyaw said he was instructed by Dinampo that they should go to an area near Ajit River. But I didn’t know the place so we asked people there to help us locate the area).”

He said that when they reached the river, they saw about 10 young-looking men, who were mostly armed. Biyaw said that was the last time he saw Drilon’s group with Dinampo. He said he caught fever and decided to pull out of the place and hide in the mountains.

Now they are trying to correct the fiasco.

  4. There are talks that the downpayment was P5 million.

The Sulu vice governor, Lady Anne said P2 million was given for board and loging of hostages.

But what the Indanan mayor confirmed was P100,000.

Grabe naman pala ang commission doon.

We have a term in journalism for that: na didal.

As expected, the military denied that the guy was a military agent. Of course they would deny. Why should they reveal the
true background of their intelligence operative?

  8. Gabriela Gabriela

But wait, could Biyaw be a military asset and at the same time an ASG?

The question is,what role was he playing when he turned the team of Ces to the group that is holding them now? Did he do it as military asset or as an ASG?

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers !

Who would ever believed Biyaw’s true-story-telling-a-lie?” Another Moro-moro again? Owww, common’…tell it to the marines! This fake government needs a BETTER scriptwriter!

Very scripted ang dating!

  12. Valdemar Valdemar

Biyaw earns more as a double agent. Parang lagare ng Japon.

There’s a report that the Military is bombing the area where Ces and company are being held hostage. This is very dangerous. AFP is risking the lives of Ces and the other two.

  14. Etnad Etnad

  15. Valdemar Valdemar

The bombings will make Cex story more exciting. But mortaring is not war at all. Its the close fights and hand to hand combats that make men out of the soldiers. There will be body counts parang malaman talaga ku kumukunti ang Abu ranks. Baka sila lagi ma body count or head count. Mortar lang ang kayang ibuga. At wah pang mga Abu doon. Waste of money again.

  16. chi chi

    Valdemar,

Remember the Manila Pen incident? The AFP were only fighting two men Sen Trillianes and Gen Lim and they had the truck ram through the lobby of the hotel? They also had batallions of all the miitary (Marines, PNP, Army etc) at the scene parang war zone talaga. Instead of silently and methodically infiltrating the target, they went into the hotel with a lot of noise!

Now, they are doing it again!

  18. Valdemar Valdemar

    Chi,
Sabi ng Inquirer doon and tinataman.
