Kasinungalingan ang no-ransom

Update: Mayor Isnaji’s new lawyer confirms additional P15 million ransom. Also, P3 million of the first P5 million came from ABS-CBN.

In July 2004, $6 million ransom paid out to Iraqi insurgents for the release of then truck driver Angelo De La Cruz before her July 26, 2004 SONA. Pogi points to the nation. Unofficially, the GMA government negotiated with the bandits and paid out ransom. Negotiators have their tongpats frenzy.

    =======
    Ellen,

by way of Garci, and assisted by cabal of Generals way back, we have a criminal dispensing powers as the nation’s chief executive!

The only thing that matters for these kidnappers is big money a.ka. ransom, hindi rason! It’s their way of life.

  4. chi chi

She is the biggest law maker and law breaker! Bottom line is, as long as the crime benefits her and her dogs, okay lang na kahit na anong pamamaraan. She is the author of the coup on Erap, the author of the Hello Garci, the figure behind the NBN deal and all other cheating operations. Will be be surprised kung meron mang ransom o wala sa kidnapping ni Ces and company? Come on! She is just again and again fooling us into believing that she has a credible government! So it seems!

Off topic: Mark Lapid has been appointed as Head of the Philippine Tourism Authority. Expect more administration losers in last election to be appointed by GMA.

  7. luzviminda luzviminda

  8. Point is why should Razon, et al be broadcasting this and that before they could even pinpoint the real perpetrators of this kidnapping? Were they deliberately trying to give the kidnappers pointers, and trying hard to make a victim of Drilon and company for Gloria Dorobo’s publicity?

One thing I have learned in my work with the Japanese police for instance, especially in delicate and serious cases, is never to give information out even when the victim is safe, and when the police do give reports to the media for public consumption, they are limited to the basic.

Truth is I have never seen a police chief over here offering information to the media, and when he does appear on TV, it is more for formality, and in most cases, to apologize for police clumsiness in preventing the occurence of such crime!!! Taragis sa Pilipinas, nananakot pa!!!

In fact, when someone is kidnapped here, even the media cooperate in keeping the kidnapping a secret until the safety of the victim is guaranteed or when the situation has become so serious that information from/to the public becomes necessary, thus the public announcement. And over here, it is not a habit of people to give information for money.

Over in the Philippines, apparently, it has become a vicious habit and worse, big business, more like “I’ll give you information, you pay me.” But I guess in the case of the informer in this kidnapping of Drilon, the informer/negotiator was tempted to get a big portion of the ransom paid by the Drilons because Gloria’s people would not pay him nor give him protection, and so he must have decided to just join the gang as in “If you can’t lick ’em, join ’em!”

In short, what Razon, et al should be ashamed of is that with their silly announcements, they only show how incompetent, intefficient and incapable they are of protecting Filipinos from criminals especially when they serve a criminal themselves. They should actually stop getting police chiefs from the military, and hire people who go through real training in criminology.

The police and the police academy should be separated from the military, for the function of the police in fact is different from the military even when both use guns to subdue the enemies!!!

Kawawang bansa! Kawawang mga mamamayan!

  12. Disgraceful! That’s what they’re going to say about Gloria’s commander in shit pose… When the victim of kidnapping herself admits that her own family paid, I wonder how Gloria can twist her shit around and pretend that there’s no kidnapping or that there is rule of law under her administration.

What the Americans will say and observe (even dumb Bush) of Gloria, “This is one truly despicable, disgracious and dishonourable Filipino pandak roaming around this side of the earth!”

  13. Yuko, the Iraqis released Angelo de la Cruz because Gloria withdrew the 30 or so Filipino soldiers there not because she believed the life of Angelo de la Cruz was important but because she got really scared of what the Filipinos might do to her (like they might raid Malacanang and hang her from the highest lamppost sort of or drag her by the hair down to Natl Bilibid).

Everything this pandakekak does — and I mean EVEYTHING she does, has an ulterior motive, i.e., her survival.

As you very well put it — kawawang bansa!

  14. Ellen,

  15. The only thing to stop this Kidnap For Ransom activities of the Abu Sayaf is to make them as a tourist guide in the remote areas in Mindanao. Now,that Mark Lapid become head of Tourism. It can be done, but, first the government will educate all of them at Harvard or Stanford University.

Susmaryosep!

Gloria bumaba ka na! Ungas, kawawa naman ang mga kababayan mo!

  18. Come election time people will remember Loren great smile with Ces Drilon after the ransom was being paid,it was also interesting to hear Ces Drilon expressing some sympathy for her Abu Sayaf captors. Ces Drilon is now a household name, more so than it was before this incident. People might remember her as the same reporter who stuck with the mutineers in the Peninsula Hotel, suspected of putting Capt.Faeldon on her pocket for daring escape, getting gassed and arrested with them like it was something to be proud of, delivering real-time news bravely and selflessly in the service of the Filipino. She had more balls than De Castro. Despite Ces suffered a lot of mosquito bites she is simply a sympathetic soul. Some of her captors were just teenagers holding armalites instead of books and pencil in school and Drilon teach these out of school bandits how to pray: Hail Mary, Our Father, one plus one and ABZTE. Ces Drilon can deliver votes to Loren and maybe, Ces Drilon for senator to replace Lito Lapid in the Senate so that she can pass a bill for livelihood project for these Thugs.

  19. Noli De Castro always insist that he is a constitutional successor, now he got his wish. He will assume the functions of the Office of the President during Bonzai Arroyo’s10-day trip to the United States of America. It is about time for Kabayan to make Loren jealous who is widely expected to run for president in the 2010 elections, had played a major role in the negotiations, promising livelihood projects for Muslims and at the same time promoting her whitening cosmetic products.

  20. Would it be nice if Noli will deliver his first executive order to wipe out the Abu Sayaff. Arroyo has ordered the Armed Forces of the Philippines to wipe out the Abu Sayaff a million times and Esperon has promised also to finish the NPA’s before he retire. That promise was permanently molded and written in a bucket of water. The order has taken various forms over the years, exterminate the thugs. But, the NPA’s and Abu Sayaf has always managed to bounce back, with new out of school uncircumcised boys joining the ranks of bandits because of hardship in life according to Mayor Snatchi.

Maybe,De Castro can erradicate them within his short term in office or make them surrender and send him their guns via UPS or Federal Express.Maybe Noli can convince them to surrender like the Ramon Magsayasay legacy over the HUKBALAHAP insurgency. If Noli can promise them a free housing if they surrender with centralized airconditioning to cool-off their hot headed, Noli can have a batallion of followers to pull the rope of Nazareno in Quiapo.

  21. If they won’t surrender because Noli is not a trusted guy, De Castro should spend some time with our brave troops, who are pursuing violent armed groups in Mindanao. He must witness himself how depressing to see our foot soldiers subsisting on boiled rice and dried fish and coping life on the frontlines.under the constant threat of a fatal ambush, and compare their food, their weapon and even their uniform with the PSG who’s guarding the asses of Bansot in Malacanang.

any political candidates with ADS sponsored by a business or any other entity or by an Elite… please do not vote. this candidate has an actual conflict of interest. Policitical campaigns must be donated and voted right by the people. if businesses will donate then there should be a limit of amount for campaign. it must be filed , disclosed, recorded for public records.

I’m sorry cocoy, but noli de castro, i’m sorry, this guys seems to be just fine of what he have. Do you think he can do taht while the leprechaun is away. For all you know, the people left behind by the leprechaun is monitoring all his movements. How many times does the people ask him to give his comments regarding the corruption in this country, he will say or babanatan nya and administrasyon na ito, but only to recant and say that he was taken out of context, that is plain stupidity. He has no conviction, people are not saying to take part in the rallies before, but to make a categorical statement only. The problem with this de castro guy is he has no balls, all he can say is he is the constitutional successor. But that’s it, he confy in cooling his heels in his office.

Credit grabber lang yang taong yan, before you known it, OFWs who were sent home, wala naman ginawa yan except to have photo ops with our OFWs, but ask him, if he did or his office did even sent money to get this people home???grandstanding lang yan.

You ask the people that he worked with, and they will tell you everything.

Speaking of ADS, yang si villar din, nakipag align pa sa migrante, he is only using migrante to win the 2010 election. give the agencies concerned enough money to help the plight of our kababayans overseas. I agree, but please, tell villar, that it is an easy task, we cannot impose our, the Philippine law/s and jurisprudence with the host countries, but I agree that we have to coordinate with them, but not impose it. before he opens up his mouth he should carefully address the problems of Filipinos in our country, why they go abroad to work, not to point accusing fingers on others. Migrante is allowing them to be used by a TRAPO like villar, how many politicians made promises, not only to our suffering Filipinos in the Philippines, but to our OFWs and their families. But all those are only empty promises.

GRANDSTANDING LANG pala sila…….tell me who among these propspective presidentiables are not grandstanding???and I WILL VOTE FOR HIM/HER.

COMES MAY 2010 ELECTION, I WILL VOTE FOR NOTA!!!! Meaning NONE OF THE ABOVE, unless I can see someone who is really sincere in helping our country. But, I will have difficulty looking for one.

That will nake 60 of them? My 60 million question is sino ang babayad? US? I just got an email that many towns in Antique ay binaha at sa Sibalom neck high ang tubig in places na malapit sa ilog… In my entire life, and I am now a retired senior citizen,,ngayon ko lang narinig na bumaha ng ganoon sa Sibalom..I don’t think we have such a thing as illegal logging..but I think the Sibalom Dam broke…kaya ganyan..I just got news from the office of Boy Ex (via his sister) na malaki ang damage sa Antique..mahirap na nga ang mga tao…wala pang asahan na tulong sa gobierno.. at ano naman ngayon ang palusot ni Loren na taga Antique kuno…I have no kind words for her..malunod sana siya sa pera na ninanakaw niya..

  25. parasabayan parasabayan

Asiandelight, ideally that is the way campaign funds should be but under the evil bitch the more ads, the better. Campaign monies coming from all illegal sources like kidnap for ransom, jueteng money and tongpats are all okay under the evil bitch!

  26. pranning,
Noli is a depleted spare tire,He is also a corrupt person. My friend told me when Noli was still host of Magandang Gabi Bayan, he threatened to make fake exposes about some legit businesses if they don’t pay him grease money. He carries quite a lot of clout here so people would much rather just pay up than face the consequences.

I don’t trust this guy to be a president of our country.I rather vote for Way Kurat.Noli is finish in politics. His limelight is getting dimmer.

  27. Parasabayan;

Corruption became even more widespread. The Mafia in government had learned and master the art and tricks of corruption and were not afraid of their bosses anymore.Bribery used to happen under the table, now they steal the whole table.

Siguro.

Nakiparte ba ang mga pulis sa ransom? Malamang.

Yan ang “tried and tested formula”.

  30. In Burnhams book “In the Presence of My Enemy” aroused controversy of the Philippine because of her allegation that an unidentified Pinoy General tried to get half of a possible ransom for the hostages and that soldiers delivered food and sold weapons to the Abu Sayaff.

  31. Tumpak ka dyan, Tongue.

But I think at the time Razon announced the release of Ces “in a few hours”, she and her team had already left the kidnappers’ lair. Remember they said they walked for five hours? I’m not so sure though if they were already being escorted by police authorities.

  32. chi chi

  33. bitchevil bitchevil

Anyone of you could help me recall if there was rampant kidnap for ransom incidents during the time of Marcos. I remember Tommy Manotoc, then Imee’s fiance got kidnapped reportedly upon the order of Imelda. But he was later rescued…

  34. chi chi

    Tongue/JM,

Thanks for the link. Ganun pala ang Lamitan, ibinala sina Capt. Guinolbay.

  35. bitchevil bitchevil

The Tribune reported that a total of P20M were actually paid as ransom to the kidnappers of which ABS-CBN paid part of it.
Now, will ABS-CBN and others stop denying that ransom was paid? It’s sickening to see them tell that to us in our face when Ces’ family including her uncle former Central Bank Governor Espiritu have already admitted. Stop denying and lying!

  36. bitchevil bitchevil

This may be speculation and rumor but it’s good to consider all possibilities. P5M was first paid with P3M coming from ABS-CBN management and P2M from Ces’ family (uncle Espiritu). The remaining P15M was reportedly paid by Loren Legarda with most money or all coming from her best friend Ed Angara. P15M is nothing for one day of nationwide publicity for her 2010 presidential ambition. Bear in mind that a presidential candidate needs billions to run.

  39. bitchevil bitchevil

Tongue-Twisted, please be reminded that Marcos was also kidnapped and brought to Hawaii. We’re also still paying for the ransom long after his death. If Abu Pandak is kidnapped, it’s the greatest gift to the Filipino people.

  40. Valdemar Valdemar

    Tongue,
I wonder what was that disarming report Guinolbay didnt say. Was he gven the medal for keeping silent?

  41. Val,
It was probably a confirmation of Diomedio Villanueva’s interference. At the time I think Guinolbay had to defend his comrades as Gen. Dominguez taking all the heat from the Senators and media.

He was rewarded much later, by joining his officers. In detention. Aray.

    bitchevil,
Marcos already paid for his ransom, probably the biggest in history. Yes, we are still paying for it.

If Abu Pandak is kidnapped, I will pay double the ransom on condition that they serve me her head on a platter.

  42. capt. Guinolbay is one of the 28 officers charged with mutiny in connection with the Feb 2006 alleged plan to withdraw support from the fake preseident.

Capt. Gino is detained in Camp Capinpin in Tanay.
