Totoo yun. Ang bayani ay lumalabas sa pakikipaglaban para masugpo ang katiwalian, ang pagmamalabis ng nasa kapangyarihan, at para magkaroon ng hustisya.
Ibig sabihin kailangan ang bayani kung ang lahat ng elemento ng kasamaan ay umiiral. Kung matino ang patakbo ng ating pamahalaan, kung hindi naghihikahos ang maraming mamamayan, kung may hustisya, hindi kailangan ang bayani.

I once read someone who wrote that “A HERO IS FOCUSED ON THE MISSION, NOT BY WHAT HE REAPS FROM ITS COMMISSION”. How true, how very true. I believe that what the writer means is that in times of adversity, heroes will rise. It is not CONSCIOUSLY planned with the thought of rewards. A hero does not live of the misery of others. Neither does he proselytize. Morever, he doesn’t advertise his heroism, but would rather feel silent satisfaction inthe thought that he is appreciated.
I can very well see these qualities in the persons of Gen MIRANDA, Gen LIM and Sen TRILLANES. The Tanay boys, likewise, exhibit humility and takes their sufferings in a dignified manner. We owe them a lot.

The proposal being taken up was for “An Act to Effectively Instill Health Consciousness Through Picture-based Health Warnings on Tobacco Products.” Should it become law, HB 3364 will require tobacco companies to put on their product wrappers photographs of diseases or disabilities caused by smoking, as a form of warning buyers what they may be getting.

Based on Newsbreak’s interviews with lawmakers privy to the meeting, most, if not all, of their colleagues who showed up at the technical meeting were intent on killing the graphic health warning bill. Insiders confirmed that lawmakers who argued against the proposal received cash from a colleague for their efforts.
A lawmaker, who gave the interview on condition of anonymity, said lawmakers in the meeting were given P20,000 each to register opposition to the bill. The money was handed by a colleague, but it wasn’t clear to who the real source of the money was.
“It is rather cheap but that’s how it goes,” the lawmaker said.

i agree rose. im all game and excited for the Puno-Lim tandem. i agree, too, that we must not tolerate what they do. but at the same time, we must repel it by not doing what they do, lest we become like them. we must find better ways of resolving the matter. by arms, if necessary as long as done by noble and upright men and women.
