  1. Oh just great! Ellen. Just great.

  2. Layug’s journey is steep, uphill climb.

Examine the competition: the scion of the local dynasty that coddles drug lords and made shitloads of grease out of occupancy permits and tax adjustments, a son of a cabinet official who is very soon going to make probably hundreds of millions of campaign moolah out of generator contracts for Mindanao, and a popular incumbent recently removed by the manipulating Comelec.

His strength lies in the military barrios, West Bicutan, Camp Bagong Diwa, Signal Village (Maharlika Village too?) where military housing are abundant. The brand “Magdalo” also plays a very important attractant to those who seek genuine change as all his opponents are the same ol’ same ol’.

It may be difficult but not impossible.

  3. Tongue, my brother says the same: uphill battle. Pity, James can’t campaign personally.

Like you say, diffcult but not impossible.

C’mon Taguig guys, show your mettle. Be sensible, be brave! Send him to Congress to fight!

  4. Ellen,

Between Layug and the members of the monkeys and the Supreme Court, Layug could do a better job of law being followed than these legal interpreters in that shithouse they call Supreme Court. (More like Supreme Crap!)

  5. If Layug doesn’t win, then, it follows, Pinoys in Taguig are not worth fighting for.

  6. TIP: A big come-on to the masa is the Magdalo Flag as campaign giveaway. A small band of red cloth with the Magdalo sun and the words “Magdalo” and “Layug” would cost less than P10. In 2007, the armbands (each P7.00 then) were hot and in a matter of hours people were proudly wearing theirs we had to follow it up with square stickers the next day that people were still asking for more.

I don’t know if it’s the same sentiment elsewhere as we had in Pasay back then but I’m sure Pinoys still regard these guys as heroes despite…aw…forget it.

  7. I have absolutely no doubt Layug has what it takes to win and to fight and to beat the hell out of those crooks and rascals in Congress.

everyday you may make progress.every step maybe fruitful.yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever improving path.you know you will never get to the end of the journey. but this so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. winston churchill.

  9. Breaking news!

Palace sees junta if polls collapse

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang yesterday assured the public there would be no failure of elections this May but warned of a possible military takeover in the ensuing chaos arising from such an event.

Planas noted that Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile issued a similar warning of a possible military junta taking over in the event of political turmoil arising from a failure to install a new president by June 30.

How very clever! RP’s lil Joseph Goebbels (Gloria Arroyo) is preparing public mind for a junta that will have her as chief.

Gloria has begun to adopt Goebbels’ doctrine: “The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly – it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

  10. Hmmm… There is a need to prepare for any and all eventuality.

  11. MPRivera MPRivera

    Tongue, Anna,

God is not sleeping. He sees everything and His will shall prevail.

Let us not lose hope that the likes of James Layug can make it in the coming elections. Not only to implement change/s but to be guardians of our long lost dignity.

Hopefully, through the efforts of the true democracy loving Filipinos, the honorable men who once fought gallantly defending the country and its people will be elected to offices they intended to run to.

  12. rose rose

MPR: you are absolutely right! hindi natutulog ang ating Panginoon…
..Ilang tulog na lang pero hindi pa din claro ang listahan ng mga voters..hindi pa rin claro ang procedures…don claro e co recto mo na ang bagay bagay…sayang na sayang kung walang election which is our only visible hope right now for a better Phil….on the other hand..not having an honest election might just wake up the people and the army to do what is right for the nation…Lord, have mercy on us your people! Thank you.

  14. The possibility of forming a group of officers that Trillanes, Layug, Esmeralda, Torato and company did at Oakwood, a group that could be eventually be called upon the do a counter junta or counter coup is very small.

    Sayang!!!

  15. If ever there’s a mutiny against someone sitting in Malacanang by a group of young officers (no one above rank of Major or Lt Colonel), every bit operational, I am confident, it will be bloody.

It won’t be a “peaceful” mutiny again.

The young(er) ones today who might think of doing it in the future will draw from the experience of their upperclassmen and will have learned by now that you won’t win against heavy artilery (a metaphor) anyway, so better go down fighting.
