Some quarters are even egging him to altogether sever all ties with Gloria. Alas, it’s too late in the day for him. He’s in a no win situation. Cutting the umbilical cord means no more moolah to bankroll his campaign on the one hand. On the other hand, voters will see through the sleight of hand designed to win sympathy votes. And they call him maGaling and maTalino? Naive is more like it.

If Villaroyo is the candidate of Gloria, then Gibo is not the man of Gloria. It’s hard to imagine that Gibo doesn’t know the score between Gloria and Villar, yet he seemed not to be bothered and didn’t make any fuss about it.
It’s something to think about. After all, maybe he is making a point, to prove that he is nobody’s but his own man.
Gibo wants the best of both worlds. He wants to be president of the Philippines with the full logistical backing by Malacaňang while naively espousing and shoving down our throats the legacy (if any) of gloria. Gina-gago ba niya ang Pilipino o gina-gago siya ni gloria ?
Kapit-patalim si Gibo sa kagustuhang maging presidente. Talk about desperation. It is just too bad the Cojuangcos do not want to be any part of him. Cut off that umbilical chord that identifies you with gloria and be your own man. You may not make it by doing so, but what the heck ? Aside from your outstanding academic background, you have not shown anything impressive in your former capacities as a public servant. Just like the rest of them, you were mediocre. Marami pang panahon to prove yourself worthy of the people’s vote and win on your own. This year is simply not your time …..especially when you act like a “ventriloquist’s dummy” saying the same exact words gloria would have you say.
Seems the man likes to take his own sweet time before he makes a decision — he took his bleeping sweet time during Ondoy too. And when the going got tough, he asked for foreign alms. He might make a good senator because he is deliberate, analytical and cautious and may be capable of producing well thought out pieces of legislative material but he’s not quite the action person that a president should be.
(If he were in the military, he’d lose battle after battle given his penchant for indeciveness.)

It was not that Gloria didn’t want to raise the hand of Gibo. It was the advisers of Teodoro themselves who asked Gloria Arroyo not to raise his hand to minimize the stigma.
They told Arroyo:”You can help Gibo by not raising his hand or being seen with him so that he can prove himself to be his own man.”

Yung mga nagdududa pa ay siguradong dina mag se-sekantots. May second thoughts pa ba kung yung kandidato ng Lakas mismo ay sumama na kay Villar. HINDI BA? Mapapakinabangan naman siguro later on ang iilang matalino sa mga Cojuangco. Under the Noynoy presidency.
