Atty. Verdadero said they faxed the faxed copy of Gen. Bangit’s approval to Dante’s custodians and the latter at first said they don’t accept faxed copies.
Atty. Verdadero told them to look at the number phone number where the fax came from. It’s the office of the AFP chief. What more do they need.

Question of efficiency, Bangit’s office should have sent a copy to the custodians. Ordinarily, anything as official as that, particularly one involving a detainee, military office should send a copy to stockade.
Not surprised that custodians didn’t want to accept fax copy. If I were custodian, I wouldn’t either unless I received a direct order from Bangit’s office.

quite a few machines are not working..solution is let the voters complete their ballots and read them later when machine are back working OR can be read by other machine from other Precinct…I think that can be done that way if some machines can not be made to work.
Long, long queues in the voting centers now. Voting is getting delayed. Voters getting frustrated. May just go home. Disenfranchised.
The ones left will be those “paid” by their “machinery”. So here’s hoping voters hang in there and really cast their vote.

Just learned that polling stations will close at 7PM (extended from 6PM)?
Goodness gracious me — that’s very short. I hope not many will be disenfranchised.
In the UK’s recent May 6 election, voting was until 10PM but still, many were uneable to get in and vote/were disenfranchised; and to think that election was choosing from party lists so easier and faster.
Given that automation is new in Pinas, they should have provided for outright extension of voting to allow for maximum number of voters to make it to booths. Are there any contingency measures put in place at all besides extending voting from 6 to 7PM, eg., adding precincts halfway or towards 6PM?
Those who are within 30 meters of the precinct will be allowed to vote beyond the designated 7 PM deadline. All will be accommodated for as long as it takes.

(Btw, those who were disenfranchised — hundreds of them — in the recent UK election, i.e., those waiting in queus to vote when precincts were closed at 10PM are now mulling suing UK govt to tens of millions of pounds for having been disenfranchised on the basis that govt should have been better organised — they see disenfranchisement as a violation of their constitutional and democratic right.)

BEN DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija: Substitute PCOS machines will save the night for the BEIs and the watchers in several precincts here. But what if these will again malfunction? And what will happen to the ballots that will be rejected by the machines at this point?
The COMELEC Should keep the Rejected Ballots and If there were Close Contest and Upon Protests, the Courts may decide to Manually count the Rejected ballots if it believes it may decides the outcome of the close Contests. (Assuming all others counting were OK)..it is quite possible since we also count and tallied spoiled ballots to determine which are Protest Votes and the spoiled ones. (checking or X two candidates will spoiled the votes)

Initial returns may have come from Binay’s “territories”. As we knew block voting within a geographical area is common and the returns of less than a Millions with 30 thou votes will easily get offset when another returns from Roxas (Iloilo) keep coming In.
The current trend is Noy-Bi and probably Aquino-Binay Administration.

Aquino and Binay topped the results in the country’s smallest precinct with only 136 registered voters.
The precinct is at the Gregorio del Pilar Elementary School in Tondo, Manila.

First of, my congratulations to all Filipinos for a successful election (so far), and my hat’s off to COMELEC.
But my reservation lies in gloria “the leprechaun winning her congressional seat in pampanga. As in the previous news, it was learned that the money supposedly for the campaign of gibo was not released due to the speakership run of gloria in the LOWER house.
Since she is already a ran-away winner, it seems the news is true. In case she wins the speakership, then my dilemma of her going around the constitution and amend it for her to become prime minister, is also true.
Now if that is the case, we the electorate should be wary of her becoming the prime minister of this beknighted land.
We should not put our defenses down, because, before we knew it everything is/are already laid down by gloria “the leprechaun” and her hoods.

Small farmholdings run by individual families are just subsistence farming, just enough for feeding themselves mostly and then some…what we need are massive, integrated farms, that can achieve economies of scale maximizing productivity, quality control, and ensure sustainability in the long run…run as a coop or collective, with health facilities, education, training, etc. for the members…not split up into small, inefficient, every-man-for-himself units…bottomline, large scale, sustainable, profitable, integrated, organized farming…

The not so beautiful picture in the political theater, we don’t see some new and fresh faces being introduced into the political arena. but same old and familiar characters from families of politicians and political dynasties. Sad to say, these people dominate every political exercise in the country due to their wealth, influence and power that an ordinary man never had a chinaman’s chance to gain access to.
Politics is a game only for the wealthy and powerful.
And so the next scene is about repositioning and realigning of loyalties. Expect long lines of elected members of congress and senate to be proclaiming their love to the new president. It’s not surprising. It’s always they way they were.

MANILA, Philippines – The vice-presidential election could go down to the wire, based on the partial results of an exit poll conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay and Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas ended up tied in the SWS exit poll sponsored by TV5 and conducted in cooperation with the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG).
The partial results of the exit poll, uploaded on the SWS website on Tuesday, had Binay and Roxas in a dead heat, with both getting 40% support from respondents.
Whatever the outcome sa Vice Presidential race eh pihado akong ipupuwesto ni Nyoynyoy ang matatalo bilang Gabinete niya. Pero syempre EGO at PRIDE ang nakasalalay kung panalo!… Binay had said in one interview na lalamang daw siya ng mga 800,000 votes. Naiintriga tuloy ako kung tatama ang pigura!

Hindi naman ako maniniwala na dinadaya ng GMA administration ang election para panalunin si Aquino at Roxas o Binay. Kung talagang nagkadayaan, dapat si Villar o Teodoro at Loren o Manzano ang namamayagpag sa bilangan.
Kung ang pinapahiwatig mo ay dinaya ang computerized election para bawasan ang boto ni Estrada, hindi siguro sumasagi sa iyong hinuha na mas may iilagan si GMA kay Aquino kaysa kay Erap. I am not into questioning the results of the election although I admit, it’s almost unbelievably fast and too good to be true. I am just bothered that history might be repeating itself again – with all the complaints coming from all sides about fraud, cheating and pre-programed PCOS, flash cards or whatever to favor certain candidates to win, it’s difficult to not think about it, that the country may again crown leaders with dubious mandate.
We can not afford to have another ala-Gloria illegitimate government. There’s too much divisiveness that not only held the country into stagnancy but move the country backward instead of moving forward. Lessons should be learned from the past.
Of course, not everyone is inclined to go to the bottom of the reported anomalies especially the supporters. But there are more questions coming out with no answers. And if we want our leaders to be truly representing the will of the electorate, we have to support the need to investigate, after all if what were reported by the comelec were the true figures, then the same figures will come out from the investigation. No more no less.
Then everybody will be rest assured and satisfied that those who will lead us for the next six years are legitimate and mandated by the people.
Re stories of massive fraud, irregularities, cheating, vote padding, shaving, etc., I bet Gloria’s is not completely innocent; her dirty lil finger is at work in that direction because she’s made up her mind that she will not make it easy for the incoming administration to run after her.
Not saying that these stories aren’t true but I am convinced that Gloria has a hand in fabricating some of the stories. She really won’t go away without stomping her short ugly chubby legs and and her feet the size of flippers.

Roxas, the sacrificial lamb to Noynoy was never inside the yellow tent. He is blue.
Binay wore a yellow underneath his orange and the package that was wrapped was for a Noy-Bi tandem. And Roxas may have realized it a little too late in the game.
Binay was able to row two boats, upstream and downstream at the same time. He got votes from Erap supporters and at the same time from Noynoy’s. No wonder he is winning over Roxas.
Roxas, if he loses this election, a big question is to mark his political career. He may never fulfill his dream to become president, much like his father who never made it to the presidency.
Such undeserving fate to good and deserving people.
