in a country where even the police authorities paraded the suspects or accused before the media and press and the public ( and the media sucked them up too) before they have their day in court, this latest media violation of the victim’s privacy surprises no one.

I could imagine how those people in media, crumbing the place, like bettors in numbers game, basta tip na mananalo ay sugod, forget everything else, our spokenman{spinmaster}has prepared,a millions excuses for any action that occured that events. As long as they did their duty kuno!

Obligations, nice excuses to brush off quilt as even you stake somebody’s honors, peaceful, conditions or sometimes life in risk. You might explain that to humans, but not to someone Above. Better luck next time guys !!,see you in an ambush interviews of hungry for publicities, like the stars of silver screens, corrupt government officials and elected ones to air out their concern for the masa.

I wish media knows when to withdraw.

  5. hope media would act like one mother to this kid dahil he will surely be ridiculed sa school. you cannot stop the kids from being kids at paglaruan ang batang to. privacy protection is utmost, nakakaiyak dahil this kid could not defend for himself.

If anyone wants to help the mother, give her and her family a complete privacy. After the humiliation and shame they had gone through, they need a breathing space, time to recover and time to sort out their situation. This is not the right time for anyone, most especially the media to keep digging on their private lives. Let everybody do their share to make life easier for them. After all, the mother never intended or wanted to be in this very shameful situation. She went on a mission to fulfill a dream to give a good and better life for her family at the extent of sacrificing the wholeness of her family, because her own country can not afford to offer any such opportunity. It’s too bad that in her quest, she happened to be employed by an employer from hell.

As usual,a very typical of our leaders, when things like this happen, it is as if on cue, it’s time for them to grandstand and propose laws about OFW and child’s welfare.
Well, it’s now high time for the government to make serious effort to do something to protect those modern heroes who besides sacrificing separation from their own families, their contribution to the economy is immeasurable by any means.

I hope that media people strictly follow these five(5) ethics. They should practice real professionalism or real journalism and not sensationalism.

i agree with you Ellen, the mother was also a victm herself, she was an indirect victim of a country ruled for decades by corrupt gov’t officials and hoodlums in robe. may the mother and her newborn son receive fair treatment and justice. may the evil father of the baby receives proper punishment for his crime, and for acting worse than animal in allowing his own blood and flesh to be born in a toilet bowl

i like your plain, down to earth and factual revelations. i agree with you to a lot of things such as freeing trillanes.i agree the mother of george francis should be left alone. may i suggest the press let go of the hostage taker’s family.

The above people were the unfortunate end results of of poor governance. these people happened to be the instruments of a wake-up call to a dying country. I refuse to call the processes as systems because we actually do not have a system.

The people above could not swallow the current processes and so they revealed to the world what really was going on. a mother left her family to be a maid in a foreign country, was raped but did not get any help from the foreign affairs. capt. mendoza ran out of rationalization on how else to deal with his honor, principles and expected pension despite his dedication to his duties. trillanes had the opportunity to witness the rotten ways of the ruling people at a closer view. they joined the rest of the nation’s true journalists who exposed truth in this no-patriotism, wacky country.

how about an article re:penis captivus and vaginal lock issues issued by abante and abante tonite this past week? will these articles be acceptable for news update in our grade school. i did not hear the archbishops and the rest of the church speaking about this?

  14. Thank you very much Ellen for standing up for this woman, I said it before, this woman needs compassion…she went through a nightmare already with her employer maybe we as her countrymen can offer her comfort, understanding, and support…God already showed us a miracle through her baby’s survival, now its up to us to show that we are capable of unconditional positive regard…kahit paminsan minsan lang…

…I was wondering why the government isn’t so aggressive in other areas for our OFWs especially in the household, caregiver sector, one good alternative is Europe. One of my colleagues in Finland tells me that the elderly there (his father for one) prefer the Filipino caregivers because of their patience and penchant for hard work, and there’s one thing we all have in common daw everywhere we go – we have a ready smile…kahit na pinagalitan na, kaya pa rin daw ngumite, hindi napipikon…hindi daw pinapagalitan ang pasyente nila…kaya kampante silang iwan sa pangangalaga ng pinoy ang mga elderly nila…

So just like that na lang; ignore the felony on her part? She needs to be prosecuted no ifs or buts.
