“As a government that is committed to the rule of law and the rights of man, this cannot stand. Therefore, I have ordered the DOJ to withdraw the informations filed before the court,” sabi ni Aquino sa kanyang mensahe.

Nakakahiya!

Kayang-kayang pagtulakan.

Nakakalungkot.

Talaga naman maraming magagawa ang isang Pangulo. Look at Gloria who did so many wrong things and got away with it. The President is given vast power. Executive Orders can be issued. Re-apppointing cabinet members who are bypassed by CA. Look at Angie Reyes…ilan beses na-bypass at nanatiling tuta ni Gloria hanggang huli. Worse comes to worst, the President can even grant pardon to criminals. Kahit na mga Ampatuans after their conviction…isang pardon lang ni Pnoy.
That’s why I don’t understand why Lacson refuses to show up with Pnoy as President.

  2. Whatever their decision is, we have to show a united front – especially if it involves dealing with other countries…

  3. There are 5 filipino lives at stake in China, what are we going to do about it? Do we turn a deaf ear for the sake of the nobel peace prize? human lives are more important than symbols, we will have to exhaust all efforts, eat humble pie, and see if anything can still be done.
…as far as the aug 23 incident is concerned – the guilty party already died – the hostage taker…lets not lose focus on the issue…

  4. the chinese are just using the hostage incident to pressure us in doing what they want…if the same incident happened on their soil they would have just killed everybody at the onset – hostage taker, hostages and all, as they don’t negotiate with hostage takers or terrorists…

This time, I agree with Pnoy not to send representative to the Nobel Prize Ceremony. His reason is Filipinos come first meaning those who are in death row in China. Kahit papaano may kaunting paninindigan si Pnoy. Hindi siya natatakot na kumontra at maghindi. Of course it’s only to appease China for that Hostage tragedy.

  6. There is also Congressman Ronald Singson, don’t forget the congressman — drug trafficking in Hongkong. What if Hongkong cancels the bail and orders Congressman Singson back to jail?

  7. GMA… hindi ba she ordered Pilipinas troops out of Iraq when a Pinoy was threatened with beheading by a terrorist group in Iraq? Actually, GMA ordered the troops out because Pinoys were really insisting that she pull the troops out.

Same with Prssident Noynoy. Hindi ba Pinoys do not believe in supporting human rights activists? We mind our own business, Pilipinas do not care about human rights in other countries, so President Noynoy just did what Filipinos wanted him to do. [Or did Noynoy act because of Ronald Singson????]

No. Never. Never release Singson.

We should be united for what is good. We should not give up principle for a fake image of unity.

    Wala talagang konek!

My DFA friends also said Romulo will only be up to January 2011. It’s former ambassador to the US Albert del Rosario who will be the next foreign secretary.

I agree, there’s really no connection between Romulo’s exit and joining the boycott of the Nobel Peace prize rites.

5 Pinoy’s (convicted of DRUG trafficking) lives are at stake. They should know better not to do illegal stuff when in other countries especially those who still has death penalty.
