Nakakawindang, nakaka-iyak

Sa Lunes, magmi-miting ang Hearing and Adjudication Committee ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board tungkol dito.

  2. rose rose

parang si Michael Jackson sumayaw? kung ganoon pala di gayahin niya ang buhay ni Michael Jackson..yon pala ang model at hero niya..how old was Michael Jackson when he died? kaunting tiis na lang…

  3. Tedanz Tedanz

Wala namang pagbabago sa society natin: buwayang mga negosyante na gustong kumita ng malaki sa kahit anong paraan at walang pakialam kung anuman ang masamang epekto sa lipunan (in this case, allowing Willy to do whatever he wants in his show as long at it rates high); mga abusado at mayayabang na taong katulad ni Willy na nalason na ang isipan sa tagumpay kuno at tipak-tipak na datung na dumarating sa kanya ng walang hirap; and the majority poor who support the continuation of such rubbish TV programs (mainly as an easy way to earn money, lack of education, and other reasons).

  5. Tedanz Tedanz

At bigyan din ng aral si ugly Willie, if he is capable of learning.

Sawa na mag salon kaya 6 yr old son takes over as bread winner. W’langhyang ama yan ah. 😛

  11. Mike Mike

Tedanz, wala namang masamang sumayaw ang bata on live tv. I’m sure the kid can adopt to other type of dance that is not lewd.

Yung tungkol naman sa pag gaya sa sayaw ni Michael Jackson, ok lang sa akin yun except for the crotch grabbing. 🙂

  12. If we still value respect for our women and children we must make an example of Willie Revillame. He mocks our collective sense of decency by humiliating women and children on national television. We take offense when we are insulted by foreigners but allow this shameful excuse of a man to insult us in our own land, in our own home?
These things have to be put in their proper place, he seems to have forgotten the “for adults only” rule, does he really make that much money for the network? Does the network have any standards? Do they have any control over Willie? He’s a madman, who watches over him, who provides oversight, even he can make mistakes? and he’s made a lot of them in the past, he cries on TV, he apologizes, but he keeps doing the wrong thing again and again. Ban him from television, he’s made more than enough money for himself, what, the network needs him to make more money for them?
Its true that poverty may have forced the parents to allow this to happen, but its also poverty that forced the drug mules to commit a crime that they are going to pay for their lives.
So poverty justifies exploitation of minors? What next, selling children to pedophiles is acceptable because the parents wnat out of poverty? What next, selling our daughters to the sex tourists, selling our little boys to foreign perverts? Will this be acceptable because of poverty? And we have the gall to complain when they insult us? We insult ourselves worst than than the foreigners.

  13. Walang masama sa pagsayaw on live TV, even for kids, as long as they are governed by the laws that protect them – anti child labor/exploitation laws.
But in this case, the nature of the dance, maging totoo lang tayo, was a dance made specifically for perverts, and mostly done in dark, secluded places, places normal people will be ashamed to admit they went to, places you go in secret, in the cover of darkness because doing so will never be right in the light of day. These are even sins we confess everytime, or need to confess, and its being shown on national television, for all to see, especially children.
We have the responsibility to raise upright, responsible, respectful (especially to women) – men from our young sons. Our sons who will one day comprise the leadership of our country and enterprise, and we raise them with this? Is this the kind of children, the kind of men we want, teaching them to get away with breaking the rules because they need the money? Our indiference and insentivity to the environment that will mold our young will be our doom. Yes, this is a common occurence in our society, lets stop it at every opportunity then? If we see children being sold in the streets we can’t just turn our backs and walk away? We have people who have made it a vocation of helpign these kids, lets help, contribute. How about helping to send one child per person to school? If there’s a million of us thats already a million kids?
I don’t know, maybe we can’t save all, but at least we can save one each, right?

  14. Why are the usually noisy politicians too quiet all of a sudden? Where’s Bong Revilla when you need him? He’s only willing to protect with the full force of his moral indignation Katrina Halili? Where’s the bottled water spilling ex cop? Where is the moral indignation cum national calamity that some people drummed up when the internet showed lewd videos of Hayden Kho? Oops, kids don’t count? they don’t vote? 🙁

  15. chi chi

    #10. Mike, mismo, typical!

  16. chi chi

  17. chi,
ibang klase din ang tatay na yan. while most of us send off our young boys to learn karate, tae kwon do, basketball, boxing, as soon as they learn to walk – he taught jan jan to do the snake dance? what a chareacter?

  18. I don’t know, maybe he’s justified, maybe I just don’t know how to snake dance myself?

  19. chi chi

jug, where is Bong Revilla kamo?

What about Tito Sotto and Lito Lapid? Maghain sila ng bill against child abuse kung wala pa, o amiendahan ang child protection law kung meron na to include non-performance of lewd dancing on stage, etc. pang talents/talent shows abusing the tender mind and body of kids.

  20. One of the ways to limit child exploitation/child abuse, eg., child labour, is to enact a law stipulating that income earned by children or minors is put in escrow in the child’s name until child is of legal age; income and interest can then be used by the child when he/she turns 18 or 21 (as case may be) as he/she deems fit, give some or all of it to family or whatever.

My godson in Pinas appeared in many adverts in Pinas from the time he was a baby until his early teens and earned the family lots of money which enabled his parents to buy a house (in parents’ name), a van and pay for some of his sisters’ tuition fees. I was surprised to learn that the child who is now almost 18 has actually not kept anything from the money he earned in his own name. I thought that was not fair.

  21. Dati hindi ko lang pinapansin tong si Willie, aaminin ko nag enjoy din ako minsan manood ng wowowee girls o kendeng girls, whatever he calls them, but this really is too much already.

  22. chi chi

jug, tingin ko ay hindi naghihirap na gaya ng marami si Jojo Estrada, baka gusto nya na maging stage father that could land him as a star, kung meron pumatol. Ay naku!

I am disappointed with Soledad Shalani, hanggang counselor na lang sya, tutal malaki na rin ang kita nya sa “pagbibigay ng saya” sa publiko. Crap!!!

  23. Mike Mike

    # 19:

Chi, there is an existing law against child abuse. The problem is, walang may lakas ng loob to implement the law.

    😛

  24. Mike Mike

If Hayden Kho is as “popular” and as ïnfluential” as Willy, I doubt lang kung magdadakdak yang Bong Revilla na yan. All for show lang naman sila at walang mga yagbols.

  25. chi chi

Anna, remember Radcliff (Harry Potter), he was surprised when one day his parents showed him his bank account (in a trust fund yats)…worth million of pounds pala sya. All his earnings saved by the responsible parents.

Also, Mary and Kate Olsen of Full House. Now, the twins are running a clothing empire because the parents invested their earnings in their names since they were toddlers. Ayan, mga reyna ng kayamanan all because of parents who know how to save their kids money for their future.

I’m not for early use of kids talents for hanapbuhay, not until they can reason out or express their feelings. But if parents are responsible at least it can balance their intention of getting rich themselves via their children’s talents.

  26. Naiiyak ako. -Ellen

Anti-RH Bill yata sila.

  31. Canada Immigrant Canada Immigrant

I’m not a fan of Willie, I barely knew him, just from all the intrigues that he got into but who are we to judge, Filipinos sometimes are so OA and feeling righteous , I’ve seen this episode and I didn’t feel that there was really something malicious or child abuse that time, I think it’s up to a person how a certain dance would be interpreted, sphaghetting pababa of sexbomb dancers,if u will look at in in bad taste, super laswa, there were so many little girls dance it all over the place, wlang nag react. I’m a child abuse advocate and a mother, I believe that child rights must be protected at all times, but I think this one is clearly pamumulitika.

  32. And that’s the thing: “wala naman daw silang intensyun na abusuhin ang bata” walang intention – because these people, Willie Revillame and the Jan-Jan’s father have no damn clue what is right and what is wrong. Not a clue. It’s macho dancing.

Was that the Father’s ambition for his son at this very tender age? There’s probably nothing wrong with being a macho dancer – better than being unemployed, not that I am condoning it, but there’s just way too many negativities and other dark things attached to being a macho dancer: read-prostitution as one of them.

but why not give the kid a chance to choose what he likes instead of perfecting the gyrating moves of a macho dancer, di ba? At this age, what does he (Jan-Jan) know about being a macho dancer?

Fact is, the father wants to cash in on Jan-Jan and boy was he successful. And Willie has been cashing in on crap like this. A kid is a kid is a kid and he has no clue what he was asked to do. the father should have just gyrated himself in front of this perverted Willie.

  33. Reynz,

Ah, is that so? But they made abuso without intent to abuse…

because these people, Willie Revillame and the Jan-Jan’s father have no damn clue what is right and what is wrong.

Sounds like it, Reynz… sigh. Difficult to inculcate sense of right and wrong to people (Wille and the father) that age.

  34. My suggestion: For his penance, make this pervert show host to dance the same dance he prodded the 6-yr old to do on national TV but attired only a g-string; he must do it continuously for the entire duration of his show.

  35. rose rose

ADB: if you allow Willie to do that..he will be willing, willing and will do the giling giling..and if you dress him in a g-string, he probably would love that too… he is a big show–off and a big Sugar Honey Iced Tea.

  36. lizardblues lizardblues

Willi will never learn. Kahit gaanong suspension walang mangyayari. Punishment should be lifetime banishment from broadcasting.

  37. hahahahaha!!! Rose, oh dear! Not a good suggestion 😀 😀 😀

  38. From Noel Mapili:

Some people see the alleged “erotic” dancing of a child in TV5 as objectionable for being immoral, indecent or contrary to law/good customs.

Dancing is an art. The daughter of Senator Tito Sotto is promoting, in fact in skimpy clothing, pole dancing, which is popularly performed by entertainers in exclusive-for-men bars and clubs. But the good Senator does not find it erotic.

I’m no psychiatrist and I don’t want to offend anyone but, in my opinion, if one sees a child gyrating to a tune as erotic, then he or she probably has a sick mind.

  42. Email from someone who would like to be known only as “Andres Bonifacio”:

Well abs-cbn did not have to wait long for willie to screw up again. What use to be their headache before is now channel 5s problem

This guy will never change,he might be raking a lot of revenue for his new t.v company but believe me it wont take long for him to screw up again in the new future and again he is a walking timebomb ready to explode anytime.dont get me wrong the guy has got talent but that itch inside of him will be his downfall and that will be sad.for abs -cbs just leave him alone cause he will self destruct by himself.Anybody who is successful and on top of the world has nowhere to go but down.good luck to channel 5 who is making a big progress and willies show is just a little hindrance to their success.

  43. chi chi

Rose, ikaw ha! Gusto mo bang pagtiyagaang makita na walang pagkakaiba ang itsura ng mukha at pwet ni Willie when doing the giling-giling dance?! Hahahahahaha!!! Oooppps…sori guys, hehehe!!!

  44. but I think this one is clearly pamumulitika.
    —————–

anong pampulitika, ni wala ngang politikong gustong pakialaman to? si willie ba may politiko?
if you really believe there is nothing wrong wrong with this, try letting your own six year old son, or nephew, etc, dance the same on national television.

renz is right, this dance is associated with prostitution, male prostitution, willie knows this. if we don’t protect our children who will? do we wait for foreign ngos to take notice of this? this is really embarassing, and i pity the people who don’t realize it.

kulang na lang sabihin ni willie and his supporters “kung ayaw nyo wag kayong manood!” by his demeanor, aping api na naman siya, kina iinggitan, i admit i defended him before just like i defended kris, but i draw the line when it comes to children. there are lines we must not cross.

  54. parasabayan parasabayan

Jan jan’s erotic dance, Willy’s repeated amusement over his dance, the “ded-ma lang” attitude of Jan jan’s father and the crowd’s reaction to his dance are all indications of our “culture” which has gone downhill very fast over the years. It will take a lot of collective efforts to bring back decency to our citizenry. We can start with our own young kids. We can not teach old dogs new tricks.

  55. psb,
Bottomline, if you don’t like it don’t watch, its not your kid thats dancing, walang pakialaman, kanya kanyang diskarte sa buhay.
Lets just add this to our other frustrations in life, lets face it, we have no collective sense of decency in the Philippines, its only when someone prominent takes up the cudgels that things will get noticed. like our countrymen executed as drug mules, lets pray for these people na lang and hope/make sure it doesn’t happen to our family – kanya lanya na lang tayo, walang pakialaman. Those who want to help, help, those who don’t, dedma… 🙁

  56. Its strange because multinational companies can get into all sorts of trouble with child labor issues, unfortunately TV5 is not one of them.

I think willie doesn’t understand what is the meaning of “Statutory Child Abuse and Exploitation” that non intention and even consent or permission would not matter because it is Stutory…Let Him be an Example…

  60. Tedanz Tedanz

  71. rose,
Cool ka lang, relax, for inspite of all the bad things we see about the country its still beautiful, its still a good place to raise responsible, respectful children. Right here we as parents still enjoy the respect and obedience (generally speaking) of our children. Maybe there is not much need for government to intervene because the family unit as the primary training ground for good moral values is still functioning. As long as we still have parents who are good role models and believe in God’s guidance (whoever they perceive him to be), we’ll do okay. Yun na nga lang, when we see something wrong, we speak out against it, if the kids see that, its part of their training.
But if we just tolerate it like the jan jan issue as if its okay everybody needs to make a buck no matter how he does it – we’re not contributing to the solution. We must always show our kids to make a stand consistently, tell them we don’t like it and why.

  72. of course, this next generation of absentee OFW parents is something to see pa.

It’s just unfortunate that our leaders still have a long way to learn, pero ang iba naman ay tunay ang serbisyo at intention that provide us strength to keep on searching for the right way to improve Pinas situation.

Keep on cursing those trapos, be vigilant of them….but Pinas is Pinas and as a country has nothing to do with our leaders kapalpakan. Kawawang Pinas? No! It’s kawawang pinoy in general dahil watak-watak at ang karamihan ay utak-putik.

At kahit na maraming nagugutom sa atin at hirap ang buhay, the 90 million Filipinos will always welcome us with OPEN ARMS when we go back to the Philippines for a vacation! We have beautiful people! Kailangan lang natin ituwid ang maraming bagay na nakagisnan na ng marami nating maralitang kababayan coz they did not know what is the “right” thing. The way of life to them is just in four corners of their karitons or homes in cardboard boxes. Most of our poor kababayans probably did not even eat even once in their life in a posh restaurant nor saw a broadway play.

Naniniwala ako na may pag-asa pa tayong magkaroon ng pagbabago, for the better.

Why is it too difficult to follow the rules in our country? And our judicial process is too slow and justice can be bought kaya tuloy tuloy ang paglabag ng batas.

This incident bolsters my belief that nothing has really changed in the dynamics of the social structure in the Philippines since the 400-year occupation of the islands by the conquistadors.

Benevolent rule of the masses. Keep them poor, keep them ignorant and they will do as you bid them and even be thankful about your benevolence, no matter that they are debased.

Rizal articulated this in his books; it seems that his efforts and his death were all in vain. 🙁

BTW, I cannot claim to be a “self-righteous” person but the issue at hand is about “child-abuse” and has nothing to do about adult trannys joining a “beauty” contest. They are way past being a minor and they definitely know what’s good for them without any need for any parental guidance. No one can control them, can’t dictate on them. It’s their life and it’s their choice whatever they want to do with it. We cannot question them and there’s no law against being gay. Why they become one (gay) is beyond me. While a child at a tender age of 6 needs to be taught what’s good for them. Not to be maligned and laughed at. Not to be taken advantaged of, especially for financial gains. And by the way, there’s a law against child abuse in case you don’t know.
