A Marine officer was jailed 3 and 1/2 years for sharing this DVD about Gloria Arroyo's cheating in the 2004 elections.

Sinabi sa news reports first time daw pinalabas.

I’d say, let the Ax falls where it should if the evidence warrants, let it be…If President Aquino wanted to fight Corruption, then the best way is to dispense Justice Equally to all, friends or foe, party mates or oppositions..

The truth about the 2004 & 2007 elections could have been suppressed by the last administration for a long time…but ultimately it will come out in due time and set the stage for the closure of the cheating issues..The gov’t should punish all those involved in these incidents starting from the “brains” to the operators..Judgement day for those involved is drawing near…….

“Hello Garci” is in fashion again! Never mind that when the first time the controversial tapes went public, then Rep. Aquino had voted against its playing in Congress. Forget that after Mrs. Arroyo’s “I am sorry” speech, Mr. Aquino had praised her “honesty” just as he encouraged the nation to “move on.”

Kung totoo yan (I don’t know, was not in the Philippines then), kailangang magpaliwanag ang Tatlong Itlog ng Communications.

“Mr. Noted” Pangilinan probably thought we have all forgotten his role in railroading the canvassing so Arroyo can be proclaimed while we were all asleep.

Kasama na rin yang si De Venecia.

And yes, in Iloilo and Cebu more than 100% voters turnout. The Garcias in Cebu but they are still pro-Arroyo.

Drilon in Iloilo. Remember he was the one who said “Ma’am kung ayaw nila sa ‘yo sa Manila, dito ka na sa amin.”

This was when the Hello Garci was first exposed and hindi lumalabas at nagsasalita si Arroyo.

  7. Al Al

OFW Taxpayer, the other day Namfrel volunteer Dalidig was interviewed on TV. He was one of the two whose affidavits are supporting Bedol’s.

I remember in 2004, he was complaining that he was reporting the cheating of FPJ votes and Namfrel under Guillermo Luz just ignored him.

Luz was then with the Makati Business Club who didn’t like FPJ.

#5 Sax, I think a week after that, both Cory and Noynoy changed their position and called for Arroyo’s resignation. There are many purported reasons for that: one is that they they were fed with reliable info/evidence on cheating and realized we indeed had a fake president; two, that in the same period an unfavorable report was made by a DAR task force on Hacienda Luisita that was the basis later on of revoking the Hacienda’s stock distribution option. There might be other reasons, or a combination of them.

Re Arroyo’s election cheating and plunder cases, I don’t know but I’m still apprehensive as to how far the investigation will go. The Arroyos will surely use all the means (legal, illegal, evil, whatever) to prevent these cases from succeeding.

  9. QED QED

All we need to know if we want this goddamn abomination to end is there, if only we can summon the will and the intelligence required to find them. Let the purge begin. We deserve better. Enough of this make-do, make-up, and make-believe country. It is time to once again be proud to be Filipinos.

  10. QED QED

#2. I hope so. Unfortunately, Aquino already has a record of being soft to Kaibigan Inc. (Puno, Lim, etc in Luneta Hostage crisis).

  11. Jake Las Pinas Jake Las Pinas

  15. parasabayan parasabayan

Turncoatism, had, has and will be a way of life of the politicians for survival. There is nothing a president can do to stop it but he can always discern who these “doble karas” are.

  17. parasabayan parasabayan

If Pnoy really wants to clean his government, he has to be strong. He has re-opened this election fraud, tapusin niya! Put the perpetrators to jail para madala ang mga mandaraya and the future elections will be cleaner. I am of course dreaming. First hand I witnessed the vote buying in the 2010 elections in the countryside.

Then, I was appalled by one voter who said “kung walang perang ipamimigay yung kandidato ninyo, hindi kayo mananalo” to which I answered, “kaya ang mga nananalo eh magnanakaw sa kaban ng bayan para maibalik niya yung pinamudmod niya sa Inyo.”

Then I heard how much the Iglesia ni Kristo was paid multi millions to be on their list. So it is not only the pandak, Garci, the generals, Bedol and the Ampatuans but the people temelves and the churches as well. The incumbents have the unlimited money to spend. Those in higher positions have the power to spend BIG checks from the OWWA,Pagcor,PCSO,AFP and has the whole government resources working for them.

So, the election problem is so deep rooted and let us be REAL, Pnoy was also a beneficiary of this system. If he cracks down on this system so hard, the “goods” on him with the Iglesia ni Cristo votes may also one day find its way into the HEADLINES.

  18. parasabayan parasabayan

I hope Pnoy proves me wrong. Let us see how consistent he is in the days to come.

  19. parasabayan parasabayan

Those who are receiving the “pork barrel”, do we ever know where the money goes? Yung mga reelectionists na senators at congressmen, hindi ko yata masyado silang nakita sa campaign trail but they are supported by the local politicians. The local politicians are already given the money to run for re-election too. Or if the politician is a new one, the more he/she needs the money to run so these national candidates will be the ones to give the local candidates the money. This is a way of life. Whoever runs for the highest post or senatorial or congressional posts of the land has to have either the wealth or wealthy supporters or pork barrels to pay the local candidates otherwise, they will LOSE!

  20. parasabayan parasabayan

YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. The blood is in your hands! Until we have the political maturity, we will never have the economic freedom we all yearn for. The cycles continues.

Dapat sipain in between the legs ang ungas na yan!

  28. florry florry

Lacson is a fighter but I was so disappointed when he was among the first one to concede to Gloria. And the more when he said to FPJ: “Kung hindi mo kayang bantayan ang boto mo, wala kang karapatang kumandidato” or something to that effect.

And to Noynoy, I want to see if he allows his leash to stretch all the way to bring light and closure to all these cheatings.

I want to see if his “daang matuwid” will stand the test if and when some of his partymates, supporters and KKKs are found to be involved one way or another and what he will do about it; to let the wheels of justice roll on whoever gets rolled over or just snuggle with them and accept their denials of involvement as gospel truth just as what he usually does whenever a KKK is on fire.

I want to see if he already matured and developed in quality as a leader, not a bend where the wind blows kind, act as the president of all whatever colors they wear and not only for the yellows and the elites.

And finally I want to see him to not always looking behind in the past, not to be always in the forefront and announcing findings and filing of cases against his “enemies”; just let his men do the job, the DOJ and the courts, and just concentrate on a road map if ever he has one, where he wants the country to be in the remaining years of his mandate.

That’s the reason why the people voted for him, to guide and steer this ship to where he promised then, to a better life and corrupt free society.

Noted” Pangilinan.

  30. Honestly I was one of those people vehemently against Erap and FPJ. Who wouldn’t be? We think, decide, and work on “profiles” and guys who didn’t finish school definitely get their resumes dunked in the trash. Its one of the basic requirements when we apply for work anywhere most especially if we are applying for the highest office in the land.
Next would be vices, both guys had either gambling, drinking, and infidelity issues, we all know so many top level executives fall from grace because of these. Of course there are other parameters but I think you see my point already.
For all intents and purposes Gloria fitted the bill to a “T”, she appeared the most qualified that no one of us believed she had to cheat to win and the noise that followed was the usual reaction of losing candidates in the Philippines.
I wouldn’t fault Lacson on conceding, its the proper thing to do, look at the US? I would’ve continued believing in Gloria and ignored the “losers” as sour graping if I didn’t know personally and firsthand any victim of her deceit, but I did, and by god all that positive image and credentials crumbled. I wouldn’t have bothered to read the negative write ups about her and the first time I read Ellen’s blog I had this mental image of an angry mob, seething, foaming in the mouth, commies, just out for no good, but I read on, and I connected to a long lost brother, actually it connected the whole gang to a long lost brother and it deepened my/our understanding of the whole situation. Why? How could anyone actually do this? I always believed that nobody could get away with crime and there is always a time for reckoning, but the long wait is disheartening.
Perhaps that is also the case with Drilon and the others, nobody except those involved in the caper saw it coming, and as usual the “presumption of regularity.” Come on, it was too daring, too massive, that its hard to believe anyone would be stupid enough to do it and expect to get away with it.
Fast forward to today, going by “profile” still, I don’t believe Aquino is our economic and national messiah. He’s more of a maintenance guy, he’ll see to it that the machine is well oiled, clean, shiny, and running in good condition. He’ll take out the bad parts and change them with new ones, overall, he’ll make sure it will be in good running condition, but “driving” it is another matter. So I don’t put much stock on putting all our hopes and our future in the his hands, of course I’ve always believed that putting your life and future in another man’s hands is an invitation for disappointment anyway. But there are a lot of people still who need to be reassured by “someone” so he has to do it, who else can?
Then again, for me, he doesn’t fit the “profile” but who knows, I was wrong before with Gloria, maybe he’ll surprise us.

  31. What I really wanted to see is some sort of a long term plan based on an integrated urban planning, economic planning, environmental planning, etc. that will span 10 years, 20 years, or more depending on our capability to come up with the money. A vision of what what we want the country to look like given the timetables involved, with no “six year shelf life” and that every administration is bound to continue and manage.
As it is, we see admin after admin reinventing the wheel so it seems, as if government expenditure was just an excuse to make money for the current powers that be.

  32. parasabayan parasabayan

I only have one expectation of Pnoy that I want addressed, corruption. If we have a 1.5 trillion budget and a third of that is saved from corruption, that is 500 billion we can use for infrastructures, more schools, more hospitals and more jobs for our people. I do not care if he is lazy, no vision or whatever the opposition throws at him, if he is honest and he holds his people accountable, masaya na ako para sa Pilipinas.

  33. parasabayan parasabayan

Look at what is happening to the US, baon na baon sa utang. Let the Philipppines live within its means. Any savings we get from controlling corruption can be flowed back to the economy. There is so much room for improvement. Kailangan lang talaga ng political will.

  34. psb,
are you sure you’re not an auditor? 🙂

  35. parasabayan parasabayan

Hah,hah, hah… I just believe in living within ones’ means. And I believe that the Filipinos are worth investing in. We are so English proficient. We are sought after because of our dedication and work ethics. We are so lucky to have what we have, 7100 islands, a temperate weather and beautiful people! Sayang lang coz our previous leaders prostrituted our people. I may be working in the US but my heart bleeds for our people. I make it a point to visit our country as often as I can. Most of my siblings are still in the Philippines. Even my mom is staying put in the Philippines. Ayaw daw niya sa US. So, I share your dreams of a Philippines moving FORWARD!

  36. OFW Taxpayer OFW Taxpayer

  37. Rudolfo Rudolfo

I was excited to listen to President Pnoy’s “Sona” of the 2011, dated July 25th,in the Philippines, 2am USA-Monday- time.It seems the Commander in Chief have used “Wawang” as an Icon for a change in all the branches of the government.
I think his admin had prepared the ” blue print or road map”
to make the difference from previous administrations. He is more determined to produce a better generation of Filipinos
through “attitude transformation”.In his message, seems he is
strong to prosecute the “bad and the ugly ” who made the country suffered a lot in the almost ten-years of the GMA administration, with her family and company, making the nation at the tail of Bangladesh or the 3rd world. He also, mentioned of providing the soldiers and military with good welfare, and strong personality with modern weapons, ..etc..We hope and wish he really started the cleaning-making smoothly the “liko-likong daan-landas ” in the governance of the country, and a “tough-guy” to turn a “lemon into a lemonade” of all the challenges facing him in another 5-years in the Office, as President of the Republic. The first time Sona, was in “Tagalog”, that became easy to understand by Juan de la Cruz. For me, it was impressive, with lots of meat. God Bless the Philippines and the Filipinos all over the world. There is no place like home !..

  38. Honestly I was one of those people vehemently against Erap and FPJ. Who wouldn’t be? We think, decide, and work on “profiles” and guys who didn’t finish school definitely get their resumes dunked in the trash…

Admittedly, I would also have been part of the “Erap resign!” crowd in EDSA if I were in the Philippines while it was happening. Doubts started setting in when I heard Alan Paguia’s arguments on the unconstitutionality of Davide’s so-called Constructive resignation. Then, I got to read Nick Joaquin’s interview with Mang Mike. The disillusionment became even worse when Aling Gloria broke a promise solemnly uttered before Jose Rizal’s grave… and then, she “won”.

I took it as a responsibility to support Aling Gloria’s government by simply shutting my mouth up. Since she “won” the elections, I was duty-bound.

Then came Samuel Ong’s revelations, which I initially considered to be just another form of gimickry coming from the losing parties… until those tracks gained airplay. From then on, I started shouting “Gloria, step down” inside my heart. I can’t even wish for her resignation, because there was no post to resign from.

I am happy, we’re over with that now. It’s time for house cleaning once more.

  39. chi chi

I was and am still not part of the ‘schooled’ who believe on the profiling-only- thingy of people!)

  40. I took it as a responsibility to support Aling Gloria’s government by simply shutting my mouth up. Since she “won” the elections, I was duty-bound.

Same thing I did too! Imagine there were so many of us and we fancy ourselves as smart people? Its a humbling experience.

  41. Mike Mike

    @Chi, #21:

  42. chi,
What can we do? We start out with job analysis right, then come up with the job description and the minimum educational requirements, skill set, then there’s the KASH (knowledge, ablility, skills, habits),then there’s the supposedly culture fair tests on personality, IQ, planning, etc. I tell you Gloria would’ve aced these stuff – kahit siguro yung battery of psychological tests favorable pa rin yung kuha niya, kahit siguro sa targetted selection interviews…eh meron pang transcript of records, past work experiences, paktay na!
Bottomline, in our system we need to be humble enough to bow down to the true will of the people.

  43. mike,
Sabi ni Mon Tulfo meron daw liver condition si Gloria kaya take it easy on her daw.

  44. Mike Mike

I remembered when FPJ died, media went to his compund in QC to shoot some footages for their news repoort and they noticed a warehouse full of “unlabeled” relief goods. One of his employees interviewed said that whenever FPJ donates relief goods to victims of typhoons, etc.. he always reminded his staff not to tell anyone that the goods came from him.

  45. Mike Mike

    #44:

Hehehe

Paanong di tatamaan ang liver eh panay ang toma.

  46. parasabayan parasabayan

Nagpuyat din ako para manuod ng Sona. Pnoy spoke from his heart. He is really passionate on eradicating corruption. Antok pa ako…

  47. psb,
In a nutshell, ang unspoken message niya, we will move ahead but within our means, tingnan mo zero based budgeting nila at focus sa auditing.
Tindi rin ng discernment mo ano? 🙂

  48. parasabayan parasabayan

I have no compassion for this cheat, the pandak!

  49. parasabayan parasabayan

Thanks Jug. I reserved my judgement on Pnoy for the longest time. Hanggang ngayon I am still watching his moves. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. He has so many traits I like. I hope he can follow through on his promises.

  50. Mike Mike

Pweh!!!

  52. Rudolfo Rudolfo

Great Nation ” in Asia..God Bless the Filipinos. There is no place like home !..

Misplaced compassion!

  55. chi chi

#43. Unfortunately, Jug…I go for street smarts than those overqualified like Gloria. 🙂

  56. chi chi

May liver condition si Gloria Arroyo and she expects the kapinuyan to go easy on her?!

Death is too easy an escape for her!

  57. parasabayan parasabayan

Sinabi mo ba Chi “death is an easy escape for her” sa dami ng ninakawan niya ng resources, mga tunay na mahihirap, magsasaka atbp. For every penny she stole, it robbed food from someone’s table.

  58. chi chi

Paki ko kung serious sya. I don’t give a damn!

I’ve never considered Mon Tulfo a credible, professional writer. You can rarely take what he writes seriously. He would be good, however, as an entertainment writer/reporter, peeking on the lives of politicians/celebs and writing about them based on his own biases and second-hand, perhaps third-hand, gossip.

I guess PDI has to have that mix of good and sloppy journalism for business sake. So when reading PDI, I normally skip Tulfo’s column, that of Licauco on the paranormal ‘ek-ek’, and the entertainment column.

I do not know how the pandak can still manage a “smile” whenever she gets photographed lately. Sa dami ng atraso niya, she should just hide her head in the sand.

Kawawang bansa, baka di ” umubra ang Wang-Wang ” ni Pangulong Pnoy sa iksena na ito, the battle of the minds of the lawyers and strategist, advisers behind the sudden st-Luke Sanctuary ?. My toughts.

  66. Mike Mike

Accessory to the crime pala siya.

Mike this is EXPLOSIVE! Talagang yang Ebdame na yan at si Bello ang mga accessories to the ORIGINAL sin of the pandak. All of these military cheats should be put in jail! If Ebdame did the operations in Manila, yang mga pandak generals could have operated out of the provinces.

  68. parasabayan parasabayan

Better late than never for these revalations. Time for the pandak to recuperate from her spine operation in jail! I do not have any compassion for this CHEAT!

Most of them are non-suspecting though and with the culture of the military to just follow orders, most of them may not be faulted. Those who ordered these men should be jailed-THE GENERALS of pandak, the comelec commisssioners and all others who aided in the cheating operations.

  69. saxnviolins saxnviolins

The facts as stated by different parties corroborate each other.

The Rasalan affidavit talks of the Bellos. These PNP people also talk of the Bellos.

The Rasalan affidavit talks about fabricating COCs. These PNP people talk about fabricated COCs as well.

  70. parasabayan parasabayan

Sax, what do you think of what Brilliantes said that the statute on prosecuting pandak just started when her stolen presidency ended?

  71. parasabayan parasabayan

The videos taken from the Batasang Pambansa were played quite a bit then. I wonder if the original copy is still kept by the one who took the video.

  72. saxnviolins saxnviolins

    # 73

That’s a good argument. It is similar to one who leaves the country, and can not be prosecuted, for which reason, the statute of limitations is tolled (the counting stops) until the fugitive returns.

In the case of one who is immune from suit, one cannot file any complaint, so the statute is tolled as well.

  73. parasabayan parasabayan

Sana naman Sax so we can get justice for what the pandak did in the elections. Not just on the election crimes but all her plundering ways!

  74. In the case of one who is immune from suit, one cannot file any complaint, so the statute is tolled as well.

…even when the same suit puts the source of immunity in question. How ironic.

  75. parasabayan parasabayan

Ayan na, unti unti lumalabas na ang mga witnesses to the elction crime. I perfectly understand the big delay in their coming out. If these witnesses came out during the pandak’s side, kasama sana sila ng mga Tanay Boys na nakulong o nawalan na sila ng trabaho katulad ng mga 40 na enlisted men na ikinulonbg ni asspweron na walang dahilan.

I am still awaiting for all the other witnesses to point fingers also at asspweron and the other generals. The pandak generals who were instrumental in keeping the pandak in her stolen power.

Masaya and mga susunod na araw!

  76. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

As I see it, the wang wang approach is a great symbolism.
It simplifies the message. It is Aquino’s general approach to progress and economic development.

You cut “wang wang” behavior (abuse of power) and you cut corruption and waste in government which leads to billions of savings which go to more productive projects.. which in the long term leads to more jobs and less poverty…which could lead to a better quality of life in general.

  77. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

His taking it “personally” in doing what is right and punishing the guilty is good.

You change the attitudes and values by punishing the money- hungry and the power-mad hordes in government and you have gone a long way to bringing this country back to normalcy.. to profitability (lower deficit, sustainable surplus). Add rewards to those who go beyond job requirements and you further mold and cement the values and attitude changes.

Yearning for those happy fiesta days. Hope I’ll still be around to enjoy them.

  78. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

He may not be the perfect President we are looking for but he’s the best one so far who can fight corruption – the number one..repeat.. the number one scourge of this nation.

  79. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

And I wouldn’t really mind if he spent more presidential time to fight this scourge together with the Justice League (DOJ, Ombudsman, Supreme Court and the official “whistleblowers” the COA).

He can leave most of his other economic and social duties to his other Cabinet secretaries but he is the only one who can fight corruption tooth and nail in this country.

No one is in a more fitting position of authority than he to do this. And he has the moral authority to do it. Plus he was elected by a big majority of voters to do it. Fight corruption.

  80. Mike Mike

    @Phil Cruz, #79

Cutting “wangwang” behavior is not enough, there are a lot of gov’t officials out there who projects themselves like saints and who couldn’t even hurt a fly but their innards are @$&@!%

  81. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

Mike, I’m with you on that. Lots of sheep in wolve’s clothing in government. They too have to be exposed and dealt with..

“Release of Jaime Soledad Part of P-Noy’s Communist Pabaon”

The Office of the President has again released another repressive order to the Philippine Courts starting with the slipshod dismissal of so-called political detainees like Jaime Soledad. Sources say the guilt-wrenching tall order of Malacañang was intentionally made to doll up his State of the Nation Address (SONA) else an effort to create a glimmer of substance in his administration’s year-long achievement report. This was done despite the obvious fact that Malacañang would propel erroneous dropping of criminal charges, emasculating and politically threatening court judges, and jeopardizing national security.

Ironically, the ones pushing the idea to President Aquino are known militant personages themselves, particularly presidential advisers – Ronald Llamas and Ging Deles. In the endeavor to please Aquino’s advisers’, last July 14 a meeting was called in Malacañang with attendees ranging from the National Security Adviser (NSA), Director General and Assistant Director General for Operations of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), DOJ Sec. Leila de Lima, OPAPP, DI-PNP, and AFP’s J2 and J3. The main agenda for the said meeting involved the immediate release of fourCommunist personalities in the names of Maria Louisa Purcray alias Meriam, Tirso Alcantara alias Bart, Emeterio Antalan alias Jigs/Elgy, and Jaime Soledad. As the meeting came to a close, the group short listed Soledad and Purcray among the detainees for release. Among the group, the DOJ committed to work-out the preparation of the release to include blanketing the entire process and stalling any petition of reinvestigation by the plaintiff. Meantime, the OPAPP assured their hold on the RTC through Midas Marquez of the Supreme Court.

Soledad is currently facing multiple criminal charges separate from his Multiple Murder case docketed as CC #262163 pending under Branch 32 of the Regional Trial Court of Manila. The well-celebrated case was part of the uncovered mass grave in Inopacan, Leyte that was linked to the purging activity dubbed “Oplan – Venereal Disease” of the Communist Party of the Philippines in Samar during late 1980s. Of which time, Soledad was an identified leader of the New People’s Army (NPA) and acts as key judge in the Party’s circle of kangaroo courts. The principal witness, part of Oplan VD survivor, has corroborated the details of Soledad’s involvement during his testimony and even accentuated the participation of Soledad deep within the “kangaroo court” who determines who is to be executed. Apart from the Oplan VD case, Soledad is also facing sets of Multiple Murder docketed CC-B-2001-05-51 under RTC Branch 10 in Baybay Leyte; and Kidnapping with Murder docketed CC-913, Robbery in Bond docketed CC-928; Murder with Frustrated Murder docketed as CC R-1913-A; and another Robbery in Bond docketed as CC-927/R-109 all under RTC Branch 10 in San Juan Southern Leyte.

The President’s plan to release “so-called” political detainees as a matter of upholding Human Rights is not of course the center of contention but to the manner and intent it was carried-out. The release of Soledad railroaded the entire process. In fact, part of Malacañang’s plan was to set a trap for the RTC and the prosecutor to include the case’s complainants. Through SC Justice Midas M. Marquez, the OPAPP was able to force a certain Fiscal Barcellona to surreptitiously file the motion to discharge Soledad just in time when the prosecutor handling the case was directed to attend a seminar in Cebu. Furthermore, Barcellona was also tasked to file the motion Wednesday on said week to make sure that there will be not enough time for the prosecution to file an appeal which could stall the discharge order served the following Thursday.

A reliable source further divulged that Fiscal Barcellona together with RTC Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina had to go through the DOJ and OPAPP’s scrutiny and hooked by crooked dictates. The pet project to release Soledad even went as far as having Malacañang threaten both the Fiscal and the RTC Judge to either face administrative sanctions under the Supreme Court else forced arbitrary suspensions.

This was the same byline used by the Aquino government against the Philippine Courts and judicial process. The case of Soledad was likened to the urgent and questionable release of Morong 43. This administration deliberately and conscientiously promotes the bulldozing of the entire judicial system all to pamper Communist militia which by some reason gravitate much influence to PNoy’s leadership. We have innocent civilians face murder charges by the book and even our own soldiers are forced to swallow needless scrutiny and arbitrary cases all for the sake of emphasizing rightful process so why go against what is right for the sake of these rebels?

  83. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

Sorry, that should have read “..lots of wolves in sheep’s clothing”.
