Hindi naman siguro tanga si Justice Secretary Leila de Lima para hindi niya maisip kung bakit pilit na gusto makipagkita sa kanya si Janet Napoles at gusto kumanta.
Maraming pagkakataon si Napoles na magsabi ng buong katotohanan tungkol sa panloloko at pagnakaw ng bilyun-bilyon na pera sa taumbayan ngunit hindi niya ginawa. Nang dumalo siya sa hearing ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committtee, wala siyang sinabi. Puro wala siyang alam samantalang nanumpa siya na magsabi na buong katotohanan. “Nothing but the truth,” sabi sa kanyang oath.
Iba na raw ang kuwento ni Napoles nang binisita ni De Lima sa Ospital ng Makati. Nagdawit pa raw siya ng maraming senador at congressman. Merong may nagsabi na 19 na senador daw ang sa kanyang affidavit, meron namang nagsabing 12.
Ngunit hindi raw nila pinag-usapan ang pagiging state witness ni Napoles.
Sinong tanga ang maniniwala na kakanta si Napoles na walang kapalit? Konsyensya daw.
Ginu-goodtime lang tayo nito. Pumayag naman si De Lima sa drama. Halata namang nagta-trial balloon lang sila.
Mabuti naman at umalma ang publiko. Kasi naman kung gawing state witness si Napoles kapalit ng kanyang pagsabi ng katotohanan kuno tungkol sa raket ng PDAF (Priority development Assistance Fund), idi-dimis na lahat na kaso laban sa kanya.
Ang swerte naman niya kung mangyayari yan. Limpak na limpak na salapi na ang kanyang nakuha sa taumbayan. Nakabili na ng maraming ari-arian kasama pa ang isang hotel sa Amerika. Hindi lang siya, pati na rin ang kanyang mga galamay kasama na doon si Ruby Tuason at si Dennis Cunanan, na kumita na rin ng husto.
Magandang raket yan at sigurado marami ang gagayq. Magnakaw ng husto. Dapat malakihan kasi kapag maliit, baka mabulok ka sa kulungan. Isama mo ang mga malalaking tao rin. Kapag nagpalit ng administrasyon at mahuli ka, kumanta ka at libre ka na. Kumita ka ng bilyun-bilyon na walang pagod.
Kaya tama ang sabi ni Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV na kung gusto ng pamahalaang Aquino gawing state witness si Napoles (kahit na tagilid ito sa batas dahil isa siya sa may malaking papel sa anomalya), kailangan ibalik niya ang kanyang ninanakaw. Umabot daw sa P10 bilyun ang nawalang pera na dapat ay napunta sa mahihirap na Pilipino. Dapat ibalik niya yan. Baka P10 milyun lang ang ibabalik niya.
Sabi ni Trillanes:”Definitely may conditions, like isosoli mo lahat ng ninakaw mo. Pangalawa, kailangan hindi ka magpipigil. I believe this thing should not be looked solely at the legal perspective kasi merong greater interest of the state na kailangan nating malaman kung sino talaga ‘yung mga kakontsaba niya, mga ka-partners niya in crime. Kasi imagine this, if we would be a stickler to what the law says, sige hindi siya pwedeng candidate for state witness as defined, pero hindi mo na naman nakita kung sino ‘yung mga senador at mga congressman na involved. So they’re still out there. They’re crafting policies. They’re probably committing acts of corruption still. ‘Di ba mas maganda na sigurong mas makita natin ‘yun, na ito siya, pagbigyan na natin.”
Sa “hindi magpapapigil”, ang ibig sabihin ni Trillanes, dapat buong katotohanan sabihin niya. Hindi pwedeng pipiliin lang niya kung sino ang didi-in niya.
Kaya balik tayo sa bakit ba kailangan pa si Napoles para maging state witness. Akala ko ba malakas na ang kaso laban sa tatlong senador – Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla – at iba pang akusado.
Di ba sabi ng Ombudsman may basehan na ang kasong plunder at paglabag ng anti-graft law sa mga testimonya nina Benhur Luy at ng kanyang mga kasamahan? At ano ngayon ang mangyayari sa kaso ni Luy laban kay Napoles na illegal detention?
Ano ba ang nangyayari? Nakakaduda na ha. Mukhang ginugulo na lang. Bakit sumasakay si De Lima?
Ang tama sigurong termino ay “plea bargain”, ‘di maaaring maging “state witness”.
Nagantay to the end si Napoles coz she is a gambler. Baka nga naman walang tetestigong mabigat. For someone like her, na halang ang kaluluwa, I do not believe “repentance” and coming in clean is even on her vocabulary. But if I remember it right, in the senate hearings, one senator said, Napoles is not learned enough to operate such a big scam. There were “brains” and she was just the instrument they used. The same people are now pulling the stings. De Lima is smart. She should not go for the “bait”. I like the fact that she is still investigating those who are “named” on the Napoles list. Even if she is being pressured to publish the list.
I like Sonny’s open mindedness to make a “deal” with all that she knows as long as there are documentary evidences to back her allegations. If it is only based on her recollection of events, she gets ZERO credibility. I am also for having her return all the looted money. Maraming mapapatayong schools yang perang yan. But I doubt so much that the government can get anything from this con artist. Naibigay na niya ang mga pera sa mga kasosyo niya sa pagnanakaw. These are already in a safe in the Bahamas or somewhere where they can later on get into after the controversy dies down. IKULONG NA LANG YAN!
Nobody in govt is interested to know the truth. Napoles is only one of the many foundation creators. I would like to see the list from the Napoles red book. I dont believe that there are only three senators there.

Depending on the weight of the co-accused testimonies, the Plea Bargain deal could go as far as granting immunity and providing Protection and even relocation and identity change for the co-accused who turned State Witness..In a criminal case where the burden of proof of is for the State to prove
beyond Reasonable doubt to secure Convictions, a Star Witness whose testimonies can corroborate other substantial evidence by other witnesses could mean convictions rather than acquittal…The prosecutor or the State Atty is the best position to decide whether or not the co-accused could be very useful to be accepted as a State witness and what to make a deal for an “AGREED STATEMENT of Facts” that can stand the scrutiny and cross of the defense and would not contradict the other evidence…simply it would be the Facts to as the witness has known it..or most would say, the “Truth”

Napakarami ng magnanakaw sa gobyerno. Corruption na ang umiiral sa kanilang isipan. Nakakahiya talaga.
Kahit ang mga umuusig kay Napoles at sa mga senador na sangkot ay may katiwalian din siguro. Hindi lang nauungkat dahil kaalyado ng administrasyon. Pag matapos na ang termino ni Pnoy tiyak lalabas ang baho at di magandang ginawa habang si Pnoy pa ang presidente. Sayang talaga at pinatalsik ang matalinong si Marcos ng mga uto utong tao na sumama sa edsa. Kahirapan ang naging kapalit ng mapatalsik na si Marcos.
When time comes that the Country’s Police Authorities are capable of collecting and collating evidence by legal means enough to lay charges and securing convictions, there will be not much need to turn co-accused into State Witnesses but send them all to jail or convict them for their crimes..but that is still far away into the Future…
In most Financial Crimes, Forfeiture of stolen and or asset obtained by crimes plus punitive fines is also one of the most effective deterrents and this is easilly done in a a lawsuit instead of in Criminal proceedings and here again the expertise in tracing and digging the financial records and the actual assets is most important and the process of legal means of taking them back.
McGill University is I believe quite successful in taking back the Money budgeted by the Government that was Stolen by its Hospital CEO Dr. Porter and laundered to Panama..the couple are now under trial for corruption and the Doctor is out of the country dying of Cancer..his wife is denied Bail as she had been extradited from somewhere hiding. Total of $21 millions scammed from the University super Hospital construction budget as kickbacks by the couple…and that opens the Province wide Corruption Investigation that resulted in Arrest of many Big City Mayors and High Government Polticians in Quebec…and so Far no one is invited to Turn witness for the Prosecution among the dozens of accused.
…Financial crimes usually do not carry long Terms Jail Sentence and in most instances the accused is granted Bail with sufficient Bond unless he or she has the history of risk of Flight which the State has to prove or Justify in a Bail Hearing and the Judge to Decide, usually a Justice of Peace, not necessarily a lawyer even..but expert on Bail matter…
It took me a while to decide if I should join this discussion due to my frustration with our government and justice system.
But just the same, allow me to share my opinion.
Please take note that the Pork Barrel scam, the Malampaya and other anomalies mostly happened during GMA’s nine-year regime.
So, for sure GMA, Mike Arroyo and those connected to the couple were involved. Was Mike Arroyo’s legal counsel Atty. Jesus Santos not implicated? Of course like all other crooks, he denied.
Napoles began her illegal scheme during the time of Arroyo. So, she took advantage of her connection with the Arroyos and her men. The investigation should not stop with the current senators and congressmen. Those who already finished their terms could have been involved too such as Manny Villar, Joker Arroyo, Ed Angara, Pichay, the late Iggy Arroyo and the Arroyos, etc.
As usual, if a new scandal comes out the previous cases are being set aside for the time being and sometimes even forgotten. These days, the media is focused on the Cedric and company’s case. This is not to say the case is not important; but is beating up a popular actor Vhong more serious than the Pork Barrel scam and other crimes? What happened to the investment scam artist Samuel Co? Rice smuggler David Tan? The Ampatuans? Oh yes, what’s up with Delfin Lee? Is he really in Bulacan jail? Why no media following up? He could be out resting in his mansion.
DOJ’s De Lima plans to run as Senator in 2016 so we can’t completely believe in what he says and does these days. Is she using the free campaign in the media and gaining pogi points? De Lima has the habit to talk too much often revealing things that should not have been disclosed too early. And now, her list differs from that of Lacson, another guy whose presidential ambition cannot be ignored.
I vehemently oppose Napoles being taken in as state witness.
Why should we give in to this deal when she obviously was a major player if not the mastermind. If only the three senators were involved, then we could still believe that Napoles was just being used by the three and that the mastermind could be Enrile. But how could the rest of the 10 senators and the so called 100 in her list be the masterminds and not Napoles? Apparently, it was Napoles who approached and offered it to these politicians who of course would not say no to money. It was Napoles who knew all the tricks and had the connection. Now that Abad’s name has come up and being suspected to be Napoles’ mentor, then this give credence to the suspicion that the two could have worked together. Abad was a congressman during the Arroyo administration.
But unlike the South Korean Prime Minister who resigned even if she was not directly responsible for the Ferry accident, Abad is not resigning. Pnoy is not even asking Abad about his involvement. Ducut, Alcala, Acosta, Agawin all remain in office. I still have to see one government official and politician admits mistakes much more resign if implicated. No delicadeza. Worse, they keep denying despite clear and hard evidences.
And even if some were finally arrested and detained, they still get all the VIP treatment. Napoles’s surgery was delayed for three weeks obviously to allow her to relax at hospital for the Holy Week. Previous of this, her doctors requested that she be immediately brought to the hospital due to the bleeding and required immediate surgery. Then, why the three weeks delay? Now that the surgery has been performed, the doctors all seven of them want that she be allowed to recover from her surgery? For a simply cyst operation and how long is the recovery? Why the court granted the request is now viewed with serious suspicion. Napoles doesn’t even have to ask for hospital arrest because she gets it now.
Same is true with Cedric and company. Let’s wait for this show how it develops. In the meantime, Filipinos are getting poorer easy day with no less than Soliman herself worrying about increase of teen pregnancies. Thanks to the RH Law’s enforcement being delayed by the church and the hypocrites. We now have two Pope’s being canonized despite former victims of clergy sex abuses complaining that the Popes did not do anything to solve the problems during their time. Now they’re even being made Saints. How many Saints do we already have all claiming to be mediators between God and men despite the bible clearly teaching the Christ is the only Mediator between God and men. Is God not confused with so many saints as mediators. Expect for relics to be sold and more fiestas adding more burden to the poverty in the world.
Now you understand my frustration.

Hindi sila mabilhan bg balita, magugutom sila. Kaya ang media sa ngayon kung ano ang bago at pag uusapan talaga ay iyon ang ibalita kasi parang gutom sila. Hindi patas ang media sa pagbabalita. Magpagupit lang ng buhok ang isang sikat na artista ay pag usapan na. Samantala napakadaming nagpapagupit bawat araw.
hello, mannie at 10, I’ve been following napoles’s stay at the hospital. apparently, she did not have a simple cyst operation. she got cysts (plural) and her entire uterus and 2 ovaries were removed in a procedure called total hysterectomy. she will not have recurrence of cysts in that area again. at the same time, she also got rid of her endometriosis and she will not have heavy bleeding in the future. with her uterus and ovaries gone, she has been made sterile. it took 2hrs for doctors to do the operation.
the procedure is similar to caesarian. she will need 3-4weeks for her wound to heal. post operatively, she may face complication as her mobility is impaired. she can develop blood clot as she is on constant bed rest and barely moving. passive exercises as lifting her arms or wiggling her toes will do her good. also prophylaxis as taking anti-blood clotting agent like the drug heparin to thin out her blood so no clotting can occur.
#13 Thank you so much river. You sound like a doctor. No matter what, there’s no word as to how long her recovery is. It could be one month, two months or longer. What about the many other poor prisoners who can’t even have a decent medical check up and let to die in prison?

Wala na bang ibang hahabulin sa ghost projects, illegal foundations?
Kay Napoles na ba matatapos ang imbestigasyon sa kurapsyon?
Hindi naman masasabing “sumakay” si Sec. De Lima kundi ginawa lamang niya ang nararapat gawin sa sitwasyon. Sa tingin mo ba, kung hindi siya sumipot sa hospital at kinuha ang statement ni Napoles ay hindi siya papakuin sa krus ng public opinion? Malamang, mas higit na kakastiguhin si De Lima kung dinedma nya ang pakiusap ni Napoles na magbigay nga ng nasabing salaysay. Kaya ang suma: sala sa init, sala sa lamig pa rin ang pamahalaan. Ang kagandahan nito ay hindi nagpapauto ang DOJ secretary sa gustong mangyari ni Napoles at maging ng mga akusado. Take your time, Madam Secretary. Evaluate the affidavit and make your moves accordingly.
