FW who have seen the diffrence between the Phil and other countries I’been to, “panghihinayang” is the word. Una, napakayaman ng ating bansa sa natural resources. Sa amin nga sa Batangas kahit anong itanim mo tutubo at tutubo. Dito sa America ang daming barren lands and yet progressive ang agriculture nila.Isa pa bakit ba nanalasa ang mga corrupt sa ating bansa lalo ng ang mga government officials, kasi nga sa halip na sila ay i-ostracized ay parang hinahangaan pa ng marami nating kababayan. Nakapangingilabot isipin na isang ordinaryong empleyado ng BOC, BIR o Immigration ay nakatira sa eklusibong subdivision para sa mayayaman at magagarang sasakyan, sa halip na kamuhian ay kinaiingitan. Kung sino ang nagpapatupad ng batas siya ang pangunahing sumusuway dito, may nabalitaan na ba kayong pulis na nabigyan ng citation for traffic violation, o mga pulitiko at matatas na taong may ganon ding pgkakamali? Kung hindi magbabago ang ganitong kultura nating mga Pinoy, malamang lahat tayo ay magmamartsa sa sinabi nilang road to perdition.

On the question of population control, I still believe that education is the key. If we legalize abortion, promote contraceptives, or even impose an uncompromising one-child-policy (kill the extra child), its never going to work especially in a setting such as ours.
I for one do not believe that poverty, unemployment, or lack of opportunities can be solved by a state or church imposed population control, just take a look at the excesses of the wealthy. Ours is a perfect example of unequal distribution of wealth, those who do not have any go hungry, those who have-have too much, we are receiving reports that 60 to 80% of the waste coming from our cities are food! Simply saying that the poor are ignorant and know only how to make babies is a reflection of our selfishness, and for some a rationalization for their stinginess and greed.
We have a robust population yes, but we can look at it another way, we have a big pool of human resource, when properly educated, trained, equipped with the right skills, this excess resource can be OFWs bringing in the dollars, skills, and technological expertise back to the fatherland.
A fast growing population is not the main issue here, as the government would like us to believe, but a failure to govern…worst…greed and indifference…

If Ermita can’t accept the results of the survey, I suggest he should file an appeal to the Supreme Court whose majority of its members are appointees of the mad woman and have the results be reversed.

At the same time commission the Comelec to do a recount of the result. With their magic and expertise in counting they will be able to prove the survey figures wrong and theirs are correct. Then GMA will be in cloud nine again.

The truth is, how many practicing Catholics are there out of the 80%? And who are the first to violate the church’s teachings like annulment (divorce), prostitution, adultery, abortion, etc.? A bunch of hypocrites!

I doubt kung 80% Catholics pa rin ang mga pilipino. Marami na ngang sumali sa iba’t ibang religion at kulto sa totoo lang. Ang dami na ring naging Moslem para makaasawa ng apat!

Dapat isama iyan sa mga census sa totoo lang. Kaya nga konti na lang ang collection ng mga simbahan at dahilan kung bakit mabait iyong mga atsoybispo sa benefactor nilang magnanakaw!

This is a good argument on Population Control:

“There is no question that the larger one’s family or household is, the larger one’s daily expense for food, fuel and whatever else. Do we need population control?

There is no question that the poorer one is, the larger his family tends to be. There is also no question that Catholics make up only 80 percent of our population and that, of the 80 percent, only some 80 percent (or 60 percent or less of the total population) are practicing Catholics in that they go to mass regularly. Even among those who hear mass on a regular basis, how many actually agree with or follow what the bishops tell them? So, why do we force 100 percent of our population to live as the Catholic Church wants them to live? Is this fair?”

Look at Gloria Dorobo. Kahit anong gawin ng ungas, dugong aso pa rin! Trying hard to look royalty pero bakya pa rin ang dating!

Pag may laban nga si Pacman, nakadikit iyong mga warlords ng Cebu, etc. kasama iyong mga kabit sa totoo lang. Bayad niya lahat pati board and lodging nila. Nakakaawa din pero ang mokong siguradong-sigurado na sa sarili niya. Hindi daw siya magugutom ever again.
