    he..he..he…Chi..easy lang,ang puso mo !

  4. chi chi

Does he believe Pinas is China circa 70s?

    Absolute shithead…

What a good term for them and their Team Bugok!!!

    Elvira, Bob:

Once a UP president, most voters are more educated than this twisted Angara! Imagine our children inheriting the thinking of this matandang bugok. This is enough reason to reject Angarapal, totally!

Sounds family, I mean familiar. Parang Pidal.

Electioneering or vote buying is a crime.

GO 11-2!

  19. Chi,

No wonder magkakutsaba sila.

  20. BTW, I got this cartoon from Tribune re the command votes and I made postcards that I am distributing to voters in Japan.

We all know for a fact, that several millions in number of our people live in poverty. Shantytowns (not Chinatown) proliferate on waste grounds, under bridges, flyover as BenignO said. Crime, disease and hunger are rife. Most of these people are scavengers and if they strike luck they can have a few bucks to buy a packet of noodles for their dinner as what Gloria always preach that people can live on 35 pesos a day. There most common problem is malnutrition, while this may not necessarily kill them, it makes them highly susceptible to other common disease. Let our desperate people enjoy happiness in life temporarily, be a one day millionaire once in their lifetime. Let the father enjoy a morning chat with his buddy in a small Barako Coffee Shop, a short chit-chat while sipping a hot instant coffee served by a waitress who forgot to put lipstick and iron her clothes on the table, hot water on two flowered embroidered glass, a jar of nescafe and a can of darigold with two punch hole on both side, courtesy of Raul Gonzales in exchange for their votes.——I know a secret–I whisper–They took the money but, they won’t vote for TUTA,I was on the next table and I’ve heard them talking. They will vote for Lacson and Trillanes.

  22. sleeplessinmontreal sleeplessinmontreal

The so called command votes may prosper if the election still allows block voting. A vote for the party (GO or TU)will be automatically counted as a vote for all its candidates.

Latest text message from the Philippines:

“Noli de Castro says the TU candidates in magic 12 is a only a gimmick. It can only sweep the senatorial slate – thru magic”.

Sally is loyal to Angara and Arroyo. Didn’t she work as Angara’s secretary before she entered Antique Politics? And wasn’t her father the executive secretary of Diosdado Macapagal when Macapagal was President? And Boy Ex will not say anything nor admit anything openly- na si GMA ay mandaraya, corrupt, sinungaling, etc. If I am not mistaken, kaklase niya si Mike Arroyo sa Ateneo. Loren Legarda’s grandmother is from Pandan, Antique. Ang ibig niyang sabihin- that’s Chicken feed.

At nanalo nga.

Mayroon akong isang pinsan na bokal, a provincial board member. Hanggang ngayon may kaso.

Ang gawain na iyan ang pasimuno ng rebulosyon noong panahon ng kastila, that time the peasant, waged a periodic revolts as a response to the social injustice and abused imposed by Spaniards to the peasant. Then we have the Huk rebellion and the NPA/CCP insurgency. The statement of Angara about command votes is opening a floodgate of more rebellion, suppressing their freedom suffrage.

People rebelled because they had no choice, they believe that revolting, is an effect of a rational response to the government’s failure to improve social condition, it is an effort to cleanse society of corrupt elements, and to establish a new social contact achieving true independence,(Kalayaan) Manong Edong! Don’t you forget History? Rebellion remain strong among the peasantry because they were never made a part of the great tradition of nationalism that was the providence of an elite(hacienderos, politicos)whose concept of national independence bore little similarity to that poor people.(no haan mo iboto iti a kandidato ng iyong amo, awan ka na ti lupa na pagtamnan)We learned these subject in political science professor and we have seen how this pattern of repression-rebellion-suppression has been repeated and being repeated. You need to examine more closely the government response to the insurgency of Jalandoni, Hapilon, Gregorio Rosal and Father Balweg, why they rebelled?I t is in the part the government failure to link it’s counterinsurgency approach to the systemic causes of rebellion that helps perpetuate the conflict and threatens a guerilla war. Instead of giving a solution to the problem, you become a part of the problem, your statement of command votes was inciting, Aba! If we may recall, the present barangay captains all already in holdover position. The barangay elections had been postponed, I think twice already, sabi nila for lack of funds. Pero ang totoo, to use the kapitanes primarily in the people inititives, para mangalap ng pirma. Napornada. Because the people’s initiative was doomed into perdition, gagamitin na naman ngayon. It will not prosper.

I came from a barangay where people are already clamoring for change of leadership long time ago. Just like the tenure of the little girl without glow at all, this elections is also a referendum on the sitting barangay captains. Gloria bets in vote-buy spree, Palace OKs acts

    04/26/2007

……..Malacañang also yesterday gave its nod to the vote buying activities of its Justice Secretary and other allies, with Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita saying the Palace will not make any move to stop the the alleged “vote-buying” activities of Gonzalez in Iloilo.

In a weekly press conference in Malacañang, Ermita said that which Gonzalez is doing is an indication that he is asserting his political leadership in his hometown and is an act often done by political leaders.

Ermita said Gonzalez is doing this on his own initiative and is also not prohibited from campaigning for the Team Unity.

“Secretary Gonzalez is speaking for himself. He is a political leader in Iloilo so he is just trying to protect his leadership. Members of the Cabinet are not prohibited from campaigning because they are appointees of the administration. We should not hold Secretary Gonzalez liable for saying that,” Ermita said.

Zosimo Paredes, Atty. Adrian Sison at Dr. Martin Bautista. Truly worthy alternatives. Visit angkapatiran.org for more info.

  54. Mrivera Mrivera

    yuko, ka enchong,

will send e-mail to sison and martin upang malaman ko ang kanilang magiging kasagutan sa mga itatanong ko. honestly, being in my golden years, kailangan ko rin ang mapagkakatiwalaang bagong dugo sa ating senado na makapagsusulong ng tunay na pagbabago na kay tagal ko nang hinahanap sa mga nauna ko nang sinuportahan, subalit AAMININ ko, lagi akong bigo.

who knows, i may not see another election again that’s why aside from trillanes, i would like to add some who can give more spice to his (trillanes’) “new recipe” in the senate. and call it nepotism, i always had a “light blood” to those who were in the service before, kaya pasok sa akin si zozimo paredes (PMA class ’71). same with sonny, but not honasan anymore.

    a must read article:

Cruz opposed massive spendings before 2010

    04/26/2007

A debate over maintaining the fiscal targets in 2009 and 2010 or after next year, when a balanced budget is being targeted, may have resulted in National Treasurer Omar Cruz’s decision to leave his post.

The two years are also the crucial period in the run-up to the presidential elections in 2010.

Cruz, who wanted the government to stick to committed fiscal targets including the achievement of budget surpluses after a balanced budget in 2008, disagreed with a Department of Finance (DoF) proposal to overhaul the goals to allow massive spendings on infrastructure in 2009 and 2010.

A source close to Cruz said the resigned National Treasurer had vehemently disagreed with the revision of the targets.

Allegations of kickbacks of as much as 60 percent of the cost of projects is a known reality in the Philippines, which the Hong Kong-based Political and Economic Risk Consultancy firm (Perc) had named as the most corrupt country in Asia.

  58. kitamokitako kitamokitako

I was expecting FPJ’s mates to cry to high heavens to ask for justice, but i was surprised they remained quiet, specially that Angara. Never heard anything from him to defend FPJ. I have no doubt now that he really was a mole then inside the FPJ camp. Pihado ko sa camp ng opposition ngayon ay may mole o may mga moles sina Pidal among their ranks. I think they will soon be unmasked one by one by their own doings. Isa na si Villar.

  59. chi chi

    PSB,

Hindi ‘yan kabaitan, he is so gullible for comfort.

  60. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

  61. chi chi

With Anggarapata’s years of experience in the private practice and government, who would thought that he’d settle for a mere command votes theory?!

    I agree with Ka Enchong.

  65. chi chi

Bakit ganun na naman ang blog???? Ulit.

Namputsa talaga! Rebolusyon na!

The electoral campaign system so full of holes that it needs a complete overhaul. It is always on the advantage of the incumbents (or party in power) and even the campaign funds and expenses are out of control.. And where do these guys get their Campaign Expense Back? Fool the people once, do it twice and the third and still we get fooled again and again.

Until the day that all these aspects of Electoral system defects are corrected, I doubt very much if we will be able to get a decent government. And that candidates deserving the office, but have no personal means of lunching their political career have no chance at all, and all we are getting are the sons and daughters and granddaughters and grandsons of same family, who made their fortunes in Politics.

And how could you replace an incumbent or even impeach an impeachable President if she can use the Government Machineries to carry the candidates that will block all attempts?

  76. Zenzen:

Kakalungkot! My condolence sa mga pilipino!

    yuko,

strong suggestion on my part, leave the slot open and clear para hindi masayang ang boto!

    vic,

’tis their (corrupt leaders) idea not to change the electoral system; a classic case of: why strip the goose of its feathers when it lays the golden eggs?

as far as i can remember, all the true-blue street parliamentarians i know, wants the electoral rules changed and Comelec itself thrown out of the window.

but when it comes to the nitty-gritty and moods turn to serious for change, expect somebody to barge and accuse everybody as either commies, leftists or atheists. and by gawd, most of the eloquent Pinoys are such a sucker and would readily believe and fall for it!

    Article XXII ELECTION OFFENSES

An uncle in the Philippines who’s addicted to this blog but confessed he can’t post dahil magagaling daw ang mga bloggers dito, siempre naman, emailed me certain facts at ako na lang daw ang bahalang magpost with my wordings added:

Noong daw panahon ni Marcos, there was an election for the Batasang Pambansa MPs (Member of the Parliament). It was sort of referendum din dahil Marcos was not a candidate, but in all level, may kandidato ang KBL where the opposition can’t even field a candidate. Just like today. Money flowed especially to the mayors and barangay captains. Pero ang nangyari, inspite of KBL vaunted political machine and a powerful President cum Prime Minister, maraming na-elect na opposition MPs at ito ang naging dahilan kaya there was an impeachment proceedings against Marcos. It was the time sumikat si Homobono Adaza and it was also the time, yong erpat ni Ralph Recto, biglang tumiwalag sa opposition and sided with Marcos kaya hindi na-impeach si Marcos. Perhaps those who, shall we say seniors na (pero hindi matanda) in the blog can say something on this. But if the story is true which I tend to believe, ang pagbabayad sa mga mayors and barangay captains is an old story pero medyo discreet hindi katulad ngayon, “angarapalan”. Ipinangangalandakan pa. Pls read the Inquirer editorial on Raul Gonzales. But like those time, tinanggap lang ang pera, ang ibinoto ay ang taga opposition, walang dudang mangyayari rin ngayon yan. History will really really repeat itself.

Secretary of Justice Raul Gonzalez is living proof that injustice stalks the land which is ruled by a paranoiac and malevolent woman. Do you know what qualities make him a perfect lackey? (1) Insensitivity, such as in the case of the Julia Campbell murder case, and (2) psychopathic state that often leads him to shoot from the hip and shoot himself in the foot. Raul’s deteriorating mental health has reached such a point that many now fear he may just finally flip over and shoot himself in the mouth.

I remembered that Sen. Richard Gordon was the youngest delegate from Zambales. I remember Sen. Aquilino Pimentel, Ramon Mitra, Margarito Teves, Jose De Venicia.I was a high school student that time. Marcos controlled majority of the delegates and they handed him his tailored constitution in a golden platter to prolong him in power. It was marked with a last minute proceedings and a secret meeting with Malacanang, Marcos delegates approved it having seen a huge amount of cash in their respective drawers.

Jose De Venicia is the same person who wanted to give Arroyo a new mandate of a Cha-Cha, of course! Gusto ni De Venicia na maging bida, He is among the major proponent for Cha-Cha having made a secret deal with Gloria. The midget did her homework, she studied Marcos ConCon very well and she wants to emulate it. She is a trying hard second rate copy cat.

If De Vinicia and majority of Gloria’s allies win in Congress, the Cha-Cha train will push through again, now it is up to the voters to derail the train by electing all oppositions in Congress and Senate.

Chi- re Antique Politics- Si Sally Zaldivar Perez (the incumbent governor) and Evelio Javier (the brother of Boy Ex
the incumbent congressman) ay kampi noon in their fight against Marcos’ administration. Pinatay si Evelio while guarding the ballot boxes para hindi maagaw at madaya ng mga alepores ni Marcos in the town plaza. Boy Ex picked up the torch his brother carried and entered politics. Noong una kampi sila ni Sally. But somewhere along the way naghiwalay. In their political journey now- each take a different route.
pero both of them are fed by the Arroyos. Si Loren naman ay related to the Gella family from Pandan, where Sally is from. Pagkamaganak pa ata. Loren’s grandmother was a Gella. Evelio’s sacrifice was in response to the call of the moment, meant for that moment in history.

I text my uncle and asked him when was that elections and his reply (at 1am Manila time, buti gising pa yong old), the vote buying he mentioned was during the campaign in the parliamentary elections, May 14, 1984. I went to Wikipedia.org on Philippines parliamentary election and it’s all there. KBL, the dominant party of Marcos won many seats but there was reported vote buying and other election frauds according to Wikipedia. Inspite of that, more than one half of elected MPs went to UNIDO and PDP-Laban and being Unicameral, that was enough to file impeachment against Marcos. Talaga.

Sleepless, You mentioned about Raphael Recto, the father of Ralph Recto. I can still vividly remember that time he was heckled by the people at the Batasang Pambansa. I think it was also about election fraud of which he was trying to defend Marcos. I could not really recall the details of the issues then, but that heckling of him by the crowd is still vivid in my mind. It was the reason he was referred to as ‘The only Recto that is not Claro’. This time he is not alone, Ralph is as well.

Cocoy- si Arturo Pacificador ngayon is running the Opposition in Antique from what I understand appointed ni Drilon and with the blessing of Ernie Maceda. Ellen wrote about this in one of her columns kaya the Opposition rally in Antique was cancelled. It is an open secret sa Antique that Pacificador was the mastermind in the death of Evelio pero was exonerated by the Court.

Chi; The Filipino people are sick and tired with the Unano. This election is not about re-electing traditional politicians. It is about restoring freedom, People want to be treated equal no matter what life status they are, equal representation, we want government gives us everyone a chance to be heard. These tyrannical rule of Gloria restrict our basic rights as an individual. We know that the GO senatorial slate are not perfectly considered united, but, it is our last, best hope to unleash the ankle bracelet from this oppressive regime. The importance of pushing all opposition candidates to win is in the direction towards another impeachment. If that goal is not accomplish, Gloria will kill two birds in one stone. Free from impeachment and a passport for her journey to Enchanted Kingdom courtesy of Cha-Cha and Bogie-Bogie pa!

  114. 1984, Sleepless, grabe na ang sakit ni Marcos. By then, ang nagpapalakad na gobyerno ay sina Enrile, et al cronies who in the end stabbed him at the back.

When we went to visit the Apo in 1986 in Hawaii as my mother was his cousin, he was in fact already blind or almost blind and dying.

I understand that his health condition deteriorated in the late 70’s. His sickness, in fact, started soon after the sporadic rallies, etc. by the leftists, and opportunists called “cronies” started surrounding him.

From my source, I gathered that he started having lupus in 1973 or 74. Dapat talaga bumaba na lang siya but with the insurgency, he must have felt compelled to continue.

At least, no other than the son of Ninoy Aquino now says that Marcos was less an ogre than the criminal running the government Mafia-style!

    Cocoy,

I’m not really keen on Villar from the start because he is not committed to impeach the Tianak eversince. And then, when his presence was needed at the Luneta, what did he do? He announced neutrally that he wouldn’t attend the rally at the time that pinoys were agog about the issue of Cha-cha.

Even if Villar is elected on the strength of the GO ticket, he will still be on Tianak’s side because he IS really on her side all the time. So, I believe that his inclusion in the GO doesn’t make any difference as to his real feelings and plans in the future.

Yes, this election is to be free of the Pidals, that’s one of the primary goals. But with the administration moles/allies in the opposition elected into office, that goal is not achievable as they are committed to protect the Tianak at all costs.

I’ll give it to those who will not include Manny Villar but I’ll stick to the 11 GO candidates with TRILLANES sa unahan. Baka makalusot pa si Chavit, kay Villar na, will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Let’s face it. The perceived presidentiables in the GO line-up are Loren, Lacson and Villar. Each of them are jockeying for the number 1 position for senator for obvious reason if they will take a run for the presidency in 2010. It’s but natural to have a personal agenda. Personal gain is the name of the game, the party interest taking a backseat.

Survey says popularity wins over machinery

    Conscience vote counts

    Inquirer
Last updated 01:18am (Mla time) 04/27/2007

MANILA, Philippines — A big majority of Filipinos vote according to social interest rather than self-interest and follow their conscience rather than jump on the bandwagon, results of a survey conducted by the poll group Social Weather Stations (SWS) on April 14-17 showed.

The survey also found that most Filipinos believed that popularity mattered more than machinery in winning an election.

SWS said these findings showed that Filipino voters were independent-minded and not easy to manipulate.

Manong Cocoy, allow me to elaborate based on your post.

The 7 administration senators who were elected in 2004 are Mar Roxas, Bong Revilla, Richard Gordon, Miriam, Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid and Rodolfo Biazon. There were 5 opposition senators, Pimentel, Jamby Madrigal, Enrile, Alfredo Lim and Jinggoy Estrada. At present, Pia Cayetano and Biazon are aligned with the opposition while Enrile jumped to the administration. From 7-5, naging 6-6. If Sen. Lim is elected as Mayor of Manila. the score will be 6-5 in favor of the administration for the present crop of senators. It ia imperative for GO to elect 8 to be assured of the majority.

Now, things will certainly hinge on the outcome of the elections. If GO will be triumphant and get the majority in the Senate race, pagmasdan natin, may mga babalimbing agad dyan para sumama sa kanila.

Comelec unsure of laws, allows AFP to conduct vote campaign

    By Marie A. Surbano

    04/27/2007

Now the military cheats are to educate the Filipino electorate on voting.

Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) yesterday were given the go-signal by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to conduct an information campaign to supposedly encourage voters to exercise their right to vote in next month’s mid-term elections.

Comelec Commissioner Resurreccion Borra said the AFP would need to submit to them first the modules and information materials it will use prior to engaging in the information drive.

“They are our deputies and they are to submit all kinds of reports,” Borra noted during an interview.

But he said he does not find“exactly legal” the fielding of members of the military as information campaigners.

Borra added they prohibit the military from engaging in partisan politics during the information campaign.

“Definitely (they are not allowed to campaign for specific candidates or political parties) because, under the election laws, they’re supposed to be neutral, non-partisan, apolitical,” he said.

  129. On the issue of command votes:

There was one leader whose state election policy was “command votes” (zero tolerance) and that was Saddam Hussein.

Today, THERE IS STILL one national leader who issues that kind of policy or declares such inanity about ‘command votes’ and that guy is called Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.

He goes by the letter of the country’s constitution alright and holds elections but he wants ZERO defiance; he targets loopholes in his country’s laws and interprets them according to his desiderata, really, uncannily so much like Gloria.

Robert Mugabe is an absolute LEGALIST much like Gloria and her spouse, the useless toad who wouldn’t die.

There’s an incredible number of similarities between those two despots (Zimbabwe and Gloria).

Command Votes?

At least, noong panahon ni Erap, I know of a number of cases of Filipinos in distress (charged with grave criminal cases ala-Flor Contemplacion) brought to his attention and being given ample financial assistance compared to the number of cases being brought to the attention of the creep presently and being turned down with claims that the government does not have money!

Admittedly and without an iota of doubt, Robert Mugabe is one utter craphead despot but he has pride: he does not allow a foreign government to dictate on him; he would rather give up foreign aid even if it meant less money in his pockets whereas Gloria would crawl on all fours for a foreign govt to come and dictate on her and her shitty cabal of Malacanang people, licks the feet of the foreign government who would give the aid and then pockets them.

Gloria is one ugly and dumb broad who has less pride than a common street harlot.

I called up a cousin, a sergeant in the Military assigned in Southern Luzon Command but have time pursuing his college degree and this is his quickly emailed reply to my question if it’s true they’re ordered to campaign for TU:

    Insan,

Sleepless—In defense of your soldier cousin, I agree with him, he has a superb reasoning. He might be a foot soldier always in line of battle, who fight in our country with honors against armed opponents, he deserve our respect. Those who commit crimes against unarmed civilians like the case of Grecil have dishonored themselves, the military and our country. They should no longer be permitted to carry arms.

The real problems is when they carry an illegal orders and put themselves in position to abuse, intimidate and even eliminate just to carry their mission. In theory it is the responsibility of our soldier to know that a given order is illegal and their duty is to report the illegal order to the chain of command, but in this case most of these orders appear to be toss in the garbage can. The chain of command composed of a corrupt Generals. Thus, it is become their duty to report the illegal order to our people, like what the Magdalos have done. Before we criticize, judge them being a traitor and for those who has a strong disincentive that those are not soldiers cannot truly understand these soldiers sentiment inside.

  146. cocoy:
Surely the ‘foot soldier’ has the same responsibility as the ‘General’ in not carrying out an illegal order. Either the order is legal or illegal and if its illegal order is given then the soldier must not carry out an order knowing it to be illegal. When that happens that’s the time that we can say the AFP are professional soldiers.
And when the soldier stops obeying illegal orders from these Generals then that’s also the time the Generals will stop giving illegal orders whether its simple canvasing or serious murder the military has a mandate to obey the law and follow the constitution.
The modern professional soldier is responsible for his own illegal actions. When caught he, the soldier, is the one being charged with the illegal offense.

  147. cocoy cocoy

    WWNl;
Yes, the modern professional soldier is responsible for his illegal action. Sometimes this is become problematic to understand the concepts. Militarily and legally, soldiers are duty bound to obey the orders of their superiors and cannot dispute their legality, a military doctrine of discipline and obedience. The duty of military obedience need to preserve the supremacy rule of the law.

In this situation of illegal criminal acts of the superior, they are caught in a dilemma. Should they obey an illegal order, at the risk of being held responsible for the commission of a crime, or should he ignore it and risk of being punished for military disobedience? It is a hard question to answer especially under a corrupt leadership.

Salamat po for the positive reaction on my post regarding the situation of a hamak na sundalo. It is in this context that we believe Trillanes, if given the mandate, can do a lot to straighten out the plight of the soldiers.

But one reassuring item in that letter of my cousin-soldier was his revelation of his encounter with some individual who could we say represent the attitude our voters of having their own mind of not being persuaded with propaganda and gifts and therefore dismiss the claim of command votes as flaunted by TU spinmasters. Thanks to television and radio, the celphone and newspapers which kept them informed of the news about the present and past sins of the administration.

Let’s GO!

Palace backs troops deployment after polls
    The Daily Tribune
    04/28/2007

Malacañang has justified the deployment of military troops in Metro Manila which is believed to be an “opposition bailiwick,” claiming it is only concerned about the public’s security.

Press Secretary and con-current presidential spokesman Ignacio Bunye, in a statement, yesterday stressed that the deployment of troops after the elections is needed to avert any possible threat and to address poll-related violence.

He allayed fears of harass-ment and intimidation by government troops, saying “there is no need to be paranoid about the troop deployment in the metropolis as this is part of the precautions being taken to ensure safety and order, particularly in the light of recent poll-related violence.”

    ======
I say wake up people, wake up bloggers!

The troops will be there to make the people accept the cheating, To prevent people from acting against the cheating. It’s actually an old trick, when policemen are right there in the squatter areas checking hired jeepneys, intimidating arresting coordinators of possible rallies and demonstrations.
That’s how they effectively stopped people’s support to Trillanes’ Oakwood.
Gloria and her dogs are deathly scared now. The military is their proven and tested last card. After the election and the following weeks of cheating to make gloria’s choices to win and the people scared to death by the military,
LIFE WILL GO ON PEACEFULLY. PEOPLE WILL BE ASKED TO MOVE ON pacified with some rice, noodles and canned goods and a few house and lots titles.

As the Sinatra song goes, “ This is just one of those things, one of those crazy things.”

    Wake up people.

I would like to share with you this statement from Jesuit priest and social anthropologist Fr. Albert Alejo, who is from Davao City.

First, he said that the May elections is battle between good and evil. He did not say which is which but I surmise, the good guys are from the GO and the bad guys are from the TU.

Second, he said that despite the sad state of the Philippine politics, he believes there remain candidates who would like to make a difference even if they did not have the resources, clout and security to ensure their survival in politics.

“These are the kinds of people who deserve our votes, let’s try to find them. I salute candidates who rose from the ranks without buying the votes of the constituency.Good citizenry demands responsibility, the responsibility to be well informed. They should listen to radio and watch the television to see how candidates answer [or evade questions],they should do some intelligent analysis on their own.”

At sa mga patuloy na nawawalan na ng pagasa sa Pilipinas, he urged people to be patient and not lose hope because at 50 years, Philippine democracy is still young. It takes time for a child to grow.

wake up people, wake up GO candidates.

counting of votes. ANG ELECTION SA UTOS NI GLORIA AY NANGYAYARI SA CANVASSING NA SA MGA TOWNS AND CITIES AT SA DECLARATION OF WINNERS.

Kailangan lang, kunting papeles or election forms, kahit walang nakasulat.

Puede ninyong eh save at basahin itong posteng na ito during the last week of May and the coming months of June and July.

That is how I read and see what seems to be going on- do this or else! Kung sabagay may kasabihan din sa military na”when in doubt salute” hindi ba? Kaya salute na lang. Ano pa ang gagawin.

  157. Sleepless,

Fr Alejo is right. Citizenry must be responsible. It’s they who stand to gain when they are responsible and it’s they who lose when they fail to their moral duty – guard THAT ballot.

Vote thieving won’t thrive if we are alert. I do believe it takes both physical and moral courage to make a difference.

  158. rose,

  159. Bunye says ““there is no need to be paranoid …”

Utter bonehead! Can he not see that his master and bogus commander is the ONE WHO IS PARANOID?

What does he think the deployment of troops in Manila show? That all is well? This pillock doesn’t seem to realize that the deployment of troops itself is what may cause severe unrest.

Listen Amigo! You’re almost right but for the wrong reason, by this time for you the election already be over for the opposition, No, Amigo! we will see a major gain in Congress and Senate.
The oppositions will not be outraged! They love this military presence and intimidatory tactics, it enrich the adrenalin to fight for a cause. This time the TU can not win at any cost, cheat if they must, borrow and steal all the ballots from GO, Fool and lie,and damn, Gloria’s forecast in cheating is worse than anything she can imagine, her tactics become obsolete, people heard the Hello Garci, Why is it that she think a pregnant or dimpled ballots should count as a vote but a pregnant women may ignore the rights of the fetus. The will of the people will prevail, If Hitler waited a more discreet period of time before burning the Reichstag, This time Gloria and her Garci General better not, the people will go to IloIlo and ransack the chicken farm of Gonzales and take all the eggs they can find.

    >1984, Sleepless, grabe na ang sakit ni Marcos. By then,
    >who in the end stabbed him at the back.

Conjugal Dictatorship in mafiosi style. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at Jose Pidal.
Hindi nakakapagtaka kung bakit nagdagsaan ang mga well wisher daw noong nakaraang dalawang linggo sa St.Luke’s ay dahil ang bansa ay pinatatakbo ng mga sindikato and backed by the ruling class! And guarded by the AFP as well!

    Ystakei:

The major role of the AFP in the Philippines is to be on guard of the ruling class 24X7.

  162. AdbBrux:
I enjoy reading your slang such as ‘pillock’ but I wonder if our brothers & sisters are so sure of the european slang – smile. As usual your right, the very presence of having the AFP patrolling the barrios is a result of this evil woman in PANIC mode. The problem I see is hat regardless of her cheating to remain in power she will refuse to give in gracefully and things will become bloody.
There are so many people she has anointed with the devil to be her followers.
    Cocoy:
your comment ‘If Hitler waited a more discreet period of time’ is not quite true, its time for us here to realise that the reason the dictator Hitler and his military machinery was defeated was even resulting in a great loss of life the British woman stood firm (most of their men were killed in action and women were the only workforce) the only way to beat a dictator is to defy the dictator en mass – we are a young democracy so better we learn from history itself – its the only way the filipino will keep their well deserved freedom – now is the time for every filipino to get their act together and simply vote for GO candadates. Its the start to a new life – if not we deserve to live under a dictatorship, hungery and forever the poor living on aid and handouts.
    Come on folks, gising!

    *****

How do I know? I am not Marcos even if he is the cousin of my mother, who is not into Philippine politics. But one thing sure is Tolentino and he had been good friends, and by the time Tolentino had joined him, he must have realized that he had few friends left and he had to cling to them faithful ones, good friends who stick through thick and thin.

My father knew Tolentino personally, and he (my father) had only good words for him.

Advise to you, Nelbar, is not to dig shallow graves. It is useless! Let the dead be judged by their Creator now, and you and I make sibak of the living brutes who are lording it now!

  164. Point, Anna, may nakikinig pa ba kay Bunye? This guy has made a lot of blunders.

Kaya kung ako ang botante, pupunta ako sa polling precinct when I will cast my vote and see kung dadayain ang boto ko. Tignan ang numero ng nakalista sa listahan, and note down ang mga patay na. Pag natapos ang bilangan, tignan mabuti kung tama ang binilang, tapos on the spot magreklamo na.

Sabi nga, BOTO MO SAGRADO! BOTO MO, BANTAYAN MO!

On the other hand, the real issue is the electioneering and other violations being committed by the ambitious wannabe queen!!!

  168. Mrivera Mrivera

    pareng cocoy, wwnl,

in the military service, there is a so-called term, ASSET and LIABILITY which depend on how the commander asseses the need for the soldier in his unit/command.

when a soldier does everything, including risking his life just to obey the command of his superior; making sipsip to the point of licking the ass of the god-amn-it officer, he is an ASSET and his services IS INDISPENSIBLE. but, when a soldier has no more use to that ash-brained officer, no matter how his accomplishments did something good for the benefit of the latter leading to his many recognitions, awards, decorations and even promotion, that soldier becomes a LIABILITY than an asset and deserves no more place in his unit. that simple.

so, why follow even that what you an illegal order from your officer when you also know this tramples your right as a citizen which is not covered in the code of conduct of the filipino soldier? why follow when you know its after result will bring more chaos to the country and people and will affect also your family’s condition?

  174. Mrivera Mrivera

    ellen,

of those whom they call political butterflies, i trust and admire loren legarda for having stick to the opposition since she became enlightened on how those who supported cheat and lying gloria arroyo in ousting a legally elected and mandated president used them ONLY for her own benefit and survival.

loren lost in that HIGHLY CHEATED CONTEST in 2004, hibernated, but when she came back, did not double think and turned back from those who cuddled and adopted her during her dark days. she knew there will be limited resources and support for her campaign in re-joining the opposition but she braved the circumstances and went on.

isn’t she more trustful and worthy than those who first used to criticize and calling her as such?

  175. nelbar nelbar
