Those guys should be charged for violating Articles of War re conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, not only for making bastos to Mr Chavez but also for changing their mind in such ungentleman and un-officer like fashion.

Sila ang dapat ma-charge! Mga BASTOS!

  2. Ellen,

Querubin looks drawn… he looks ill.

  3. Anna, it might just be the lighting. Col. Querubin is okay.

I understand he does his daily exercise. But I can imagine the mental and emotional that they have to carry.

  4. There were several changes in the composition of the panel in that one morning last Friday.

The first line up were Lt. Gen.Cardozo M. Luna, Col. Maria Aleido (law member), Brig. Gen. Salvador Collantes,Brig. Gen. Rolando Capacia, Commodore Fortunato R. Sagudo, Jr. and Col. Manuelito G. Dahan.

When Luna was challenged by Querubin, he was replaced by Maj. Gen. Michael Mendoza, who was challenged by Col. Januario Caringal.

Next was Maj. Gen. Cyrano Austria who was challenged by Col. Armando Bañez. Next was Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Sodusta, who was challenged by Col. Custodio Parcon.

When it adjourned, the one who was acting as president was Brig. Gen. Collantes.

  5. Ah, good to know that Ellen, thanks.

Anong klaseng court yan?

  6. Sige lang, mga defence lawyers, throw all the monkey wrenches in Esperon’s monkey court!

  7. When a bit of order is finally established in this monkey court, dapat tawagin ng defence si Esperon par tumestigo tapos prituhin nila!

At kung hindi talaga duwag si Esperon, he will rise to the challenge and be called in to testify.

At ang miyembro ng panel, dapat mag file si BGen Lim at si MGen Miranda ng counter-charge for conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

    LABO LABO, MATIRA MATIBAY!

  8. It was really frustrating, Anna. I can imagine how it was with the wives and family members of the accused who were present.

In fact, so as not to be provoked, most of the officers read books during the trial or put on their I-pod.

That’s because in the hearing last July 17, there were two instances when some of the officers couldn’t contain their irritation, they were heard cursing. One said “P..I.” The trial judge advocate heard it and complained. The officer said, “It was not directed to you. I was talking to Col. Parcon about something.”

  9. Hah!

Mas senior ba iyang trial judge advocate doon sa nagmura?

If not, ok lang yan.

Examples: MERDE! TA SOEUR! ENCULE! (Sabihin mo kay Gen Miranda all the way from Paris…heheheh nung bumisita siya kasama si Ed.)

  10. chi chi

Masyado ng kawalanghiyaan sa batas iyang pabago-bago nila ng desisyon to suit the caprices of Gloria and Asspweron!

  11. Re: There were several changes in the composition of the panel in that one morning last Friday.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

  12. chi chi

  14. Naku Chi, that’s why all those good officers are still standing! Their wives or spouses are taking half of the beating!

They should rightly be commended as well!

  15. Anna, re:Mas senior ba iyang trial judge advocate doon sa nagmura?

They are both colonels but I think the officer is more senior than the TJA.

  16. Ah, dapat pinaalala nitong officer na nagmura sa TJA to straighten up and to stop whining or leave the court na lang! Mura lang di niya masikmura?

  17. parasabayan parasabayan

The wives of these incarcerated officers, and I met some of them, should really be commended for taking all the beatings for the spouses. Talaga naman! this whole ordeal of being tried for no justifiable reason and worst, tried by no other than the worst cheats and murderers of the country really is more than a death sentence to these spouses! Imagine having to visit their spouses on a regular basis, coordinating the lawyers’ preparation for the hearings, finding the money to pay for the lawyers(although some of them may be pro bono), for fare or gas, tending to their families daily. It pains them to see their principled husbands rot in jail.

Keep fighting my dears! Yes, miracles do happen and I praying that your husbands will be free soon. The truth of the matter is, takot na takot talaga yang supot na asspweron sa mga nakakulong kasi alam nilang lahat ang baho ni asspweron! From aspweron’s election cheating operations to his death camps! This is the reason why aspweron is moving mountains to put these officers away so that he will not be judged harshly when the tide turns. Afterall asspweron wants to enjoy the ranches he acquired in Australia!

Why Peremptory Challenge plays an important role in court martial proceedings, the jurors who hear the case will be the one who render a guilty and non-guilty verdict to the accused. Court-martial members must be impartial and may make no decisions about a case until the military judge directs them to begin deliberations. Each side — prosecution and defense — gets a chance to ask the court-martial members questions to ensure that members are impartial. If a court-martial member’s impartiality is brought into question, or if it is otherwise inappropriate for that member to serve on the court-martial, the military judge will dismiss him or her. The prosecution or defense may also remove a court-martial member (peremptorily,) meaning without a stated reason. In military practice, both the prosecution and defense are afforded one peremptory challenge. A servicemember on trial may decide to have the judge decide his guilt or innocence, rather than court-martial members.

Once the court-martial members are selected, the case is ready to proceed on the merits, that is, evidence will be presented about the guilt or innocence of the servicemember. As with any civilian case, the military prosecutor (called a “trial counsel”) presents evidence on the charges. The accused on trial may confront this evidence and cross-examine any witnesses. They may also present evidence and, through the court-martial, compel witnesses to appear.

  19. chi chi

I wouldn’t want to imagine if the real terrorists, aside from Gloria, attacked?! Lahat ng magagaling, matatapang and experienced military officers and soldiers are encarcerated? Who would make them win?

Perhaps, the twin evil will order full attack, tapos babawiin para hindi mapahiya kung matalo. O, baka ito ang dahilan why Gloria canceled/postponed attacking the MILF, and not the Japan-Canada threat of canceling donations to her!

Pwede ba ‘yun?

  20. chi chi

Cocoy, matatapos lang ‘yan kung wala na ang tambalang Tianak and Ass who write the scripts and direct the ill proceedings.

  21. cocoy cocoy

Cont;— Sometimes it is on the accused advantage who sit on a Court-Martial members, because they are the person who will render their verdicts and all other questions to be decided by the members of a general or special court-martial shall be determined by a majority vote, but a determination to reconsider a finding of guilty or to reconsider a sentence, with a view toward decreasing it, may be made by any lesser vote which indicates that the reconsideration is not opposed by the number of votes required for that finding or sentence. A tie vote on a challenge disqualifies the member challenged. A tie vote on a motion for a finding of not guilty or on a motion relating to the question of the accused sanity. is a determination against the accused. A tie vote on any other question is a determination in favor of the accused.

  22. cocoy cocoy

    Chi;
The way I look at the case of this soldiers is a case of political persecution not a lawful prosecution.4 years and counting, hindi pa pala nabuo ang mga members ng Court Martial para dinngin ang kaso.Onli in da pilipins.Justice Delayed,Justice Denied!

  23. chi chi

Nakakatuwa iyong photo ni Col. Parcon. He seems jolly and younger than the others. But why the tank behind him? Is the tank assigned officially to round the area, or specifically para bantayan ang mga akusado, panakot baga!

  24. chi chi

Cocoy, that’s a wrongful prosecution and illegal persecution. Onli in da Pilipins under the korap Gloria!

Na traydor sila lahat ng supposed facilitators and agreements with the devils in the dark blue sea!

We’re very busy preparing for our trip on Monday but I couldn’t help it…I just have to peep once in while to follow up the hot discussions here! Am laughing and boiling with anger at the same time!
Donnerwetter, was ist dann los? Sind die ZWEI (Gloria und Asspirin) Kangaroo geworden? Dann, Gott sei DANK!!! (This was the angry reaction of our German neighbor when I related to her the story on the court martial proceeding) “Ano daw ba ang nangyari sa dalawa, kay Gloria at Asspirin, naging Kangaroo na ba talaga sila dahil sa pinaggagawa nila?
See you!

  28. Ellen,

Just visited Quezon’s blog this instant…

A commenter posted something about your blog and I was obliged to post the following in defence of Ellenvile. Hope you don’t mind nor my friends here. Thanks

    Manila Bay Watch :
    Bencard,

grd here may have misled you! Ellen’s blog is in no way “nilalangaw”.

    Hardly the truth.

Ellen’s blog is anti-Gloria through and through and those who are pro-Gloria or who believe that posters there (who include yours truly) are left-wing, NPA sympathizers or commies had better change tune before they start spewing pro-Gloria rhetorics or branding folks who comment there as NPA sympathizers, islamofanatics, etc.

Ellen has long laid down the rules of engagement in her blog. Those who cannot respect her rules are free not to join and not to post comment. Nothing wrong with that.

Needless to say, Ellen’s right to publish her thoughts, comments and whatever opinion in her blog, on which posters comment, who, btw, are far from being “idiots” as some people would like to think, is covered by the Bill of Rights.

I hope this clears up matter. And to grd, I suggest you be more judicious with your remarks about a fellow blogger of Ellen’s stature!

    Sino kayang langaw si grd?!

Sabi nga, it comes with the territory.

Anong ibig sabihin? Maraming tinatamaan at nasasaktan dahil sa talim nito!

Kung nilalangaw, why bother commenting about Ellenville in another blog, big loser!

I voted for Ate Glue to my eternal regret. The rue infers my Ellenville quality, so, I can dare to say the following.
The trite adage, “The road to hell is paved with good intensions” is beginning to surface here in Ellenville. The Trillanes phenomenon is being transformed into something that is not just a miracle but into the proportions of a myth. The Senator is becoming an idealized conception, being venerated and glamorized.
A classic example of this metamorphosis is Kung Fuzi (now called Confucius) Chinese philosopher whose Analects contain a collection of his sayings and dialogues compiled by disciples after his death. The sayings of Confucius show the principles and beliefs of Confusianism. Confucius was only concerned with man’s actions on earth — he did not believe in an afterlife. His basic rule was, “What you do not want done to yourself do not do to others.” (He predated Christianity) Positive that man was basically good, Confucius believed that men were led by example. He therefore stressed the necessity that all rulers show goodness and kindness to their subjects — if they set a good example, their subjects would also lead good lives. (I say, Ate Glue could use some Confucianism) Some examples of his sayings: ”What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others.” ”It does not greatly concern me that men do not know me; my great concern is my not knowing them.”
“If not occupying the office, devise not the policy.” (Ellenville, hear, hear)
“The noble-minded man will be agreeable even when he disagrees; the small-minded man will agree and be disagreeable.” (I think he meant both sexes.) “When truth and right are hand in hand, a statement will bear repetition.”
Later-day do-gooders changed the essence of his sayings and created humorous one-liners: (Confucius says) Beer gives man big head, also big belly. If the shoe fits, wear it.

  35. chi chi

    neonate,

Your Ate Glue (:-)) does not even read Philippine history. If she did, she would have learned something from Marcos mistakes.

The Confucius’ analects is too “foreign” for her comprehension, the tianak wouldn’t get anything good from it!

If she wanted to be a consciencious and good leader, she would have read first the Art of Leadership of Tao Te Ching, The Art of War by Sun Tzu and Leadership Secrets of Atilla the Hun, among other great readings.

In this situation, even defense attorneys find it difficult to measure up to the challenge of a seemingly “guilty-until-proven-innocent” standard. The rights of the accused at times seem secondary to everything else to Marayag. These court martial proceedings discussed the need to deal with serious emergency situations threatening prisoner soldier’s’ lives and their families’ sanity, with correcting some chronic wrongs within the dysfunctional, corrupt, and nearly paralyzed kangaroo court system of Esperon. This blatant tolerance by handpicked judges, will robs defendants of their right to a fair trial and worse has caused them to be wrongly convicted and sentenced to long prison terms.

Ngunit walang paki-alam ang panel. May sarili silang interpretasyon ng batas. Kahit despalinghado, pinipilit nila. Denied ng denied.

A wide range of prosecutorial misconduct occurs: telling defense lawyer and denied his motion is, misstating the law, disparaging the defendant and his attorney, defying court procedure, and misleading. It is more likely intentional. Judges who turn a blind eye to their own misconduct should be held responsible for a practice with its own problems. Most defendants on this Kangaroo court are confused, fearful, and gullible. The charges against them are often frivolous or overblown through the false confession of San Juan and the rest of dirty dozen who saved own skin. The members of this court martial proceedings who typically are focused on mindless punishing these soldiers–which never has been a solution to their grievance — should not qualify and inhibit themselves to hear the case if they have some Delicadesa para walang disgrasya.

  41. Cocoy, clarification:

Please don’t confuse the case of Miranda, Lim, Querubin, et al with Oakwood. Miranda et al are being accused of attempting to withdraw support from Gloria on February 2006. Oakwood happened in July 2003.

Marayag will not be the defense lawyer.
he has been designated by Esperon to sit as head/president of the court martial panel that will hear and judge the case.

  42. Chi

Col. Parcon is a medal of valor awardee, the only two living Marines (the other one is Col. Querubin) holding that honor.

  43. Yes, that’s a tank behind him. We were even surprised when that arrived alongside the military truck that brought the officers to the court.

To think that the trial is inside a military camp!

  44. Thanks, Anna for taking up the cudgels for me.

Tell him to look at the Pinoy top blogs ranking. Although that ranking fluctuates, as of now, this blog is in the top 30 blogs in the country. and the number one political blog in the country today. (the ones on top are mostly entertainment blogs).

Thank you all for making this space interesting and meaningful.

  45. cocoy cocoy

    Ellen;
Marayag will sit as a judge on the Kangaroo Court of Esperon to hear the case. He is not nether for the prosecution nor for the defense, he will sit as a juror. He need to realize that this is an important case for the accused, his presence in court is very essential to the ongoing case.He need to give a priority to serve on that purpose.
I am sorry! I come to realized after reading it twice that the case of Gen.Lim and the Oakwood were different ,my sincere apology. San Juan is with Magdalo. It is my mistakes and not to mislead.

  46. Ok lang, Cocoy. Nakakalito naman talaga. You are not the only one who mix up the magdalo case with that Miranda et al. They are all heroes.

    Ellen;
Thank you so much, your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Thanks, Ellen.

Nagandahan kasi ako sa kuha ni Col. Parcon.

  49. chi chi

Asspweron is green with envy of Cols. Querubin and Parcon for these great men are medal of valor awardees.

I make silip from time to time to some other political blogs and I can say Ellenville is unique. I’m sure, those making unkind remarks about Ellen and her blog are those who can’t get in and of course maka-Arroyo Pidal at inggit na inggit sa atin. Belaaaattt, manigas kayo!

Thanks for Ma’m Ellen’s account on her “Lastikong Court Martial” and the accompanying pictures. Had it not for the media coverage particularly the continuing account of our gracious host/owner of this blog, the public will not be informed on what’s really going behind the trial of our brave but continuously incarcerated soldiers.

    Ma’m Ellen

While it could be too much mulistiya from you, we would like to request if you can also post the pictures of the members of the court martial panel. We will be able to recognize them when they go around at makasalubong natin minsan. We could tell them that we know who they are and the shameful roles they played just to please their bosses, Gloria Arroyo and Asperon.

  53. I’ll try to see if we have that in earlier hearings. Cameras are not allowed once the hearing starts. That’s why if you notice the pictures we have were taken as they arrive in the trial venue, during breaks or after the trial.

  54. Xanadu, I checked my files, I don’t have photos of the panel.

  55. Mrivera Mrivera

    *****
Hindi parang lastiko, Ellen. Nakakaloko is more like it, but the funny thing is how Filipinos can still tolerate this “panloloko”? Over where I am a national and a citizen, it would mean rounding up of weirdos like these Gloria de Poohtah and Assperon to prosecute, jail and stop them from fooling the whole populace any further! They cannot make a mockery of the law, or make themselves above the law!

  57. Chabeli Chabeli

    Ms. Ellen,

Pardon me if this is a stupid quesion, but why is Frank Chavez the lawyer of Maj. Gen. Miranda – was he chosen or given by the govt ? Trying lang to understand.

  58. Chabeli, why would the government give Gen. Miranda a lawyer? Why, what’s the problem with Frank Chavez?

Actually, Gen. Miranda has two lawyers: Frank Chavez and Rolando Cipriano. But of course, Chavez is more high profile, which works in some ways.

    Mrivera,

According to the mocst recent reports, ang 14 marines daw ay pinagsusuntok/tortured until death and then pinugutan ng ulo. So barbaric, pinagkatuwaan muna!

Tongue was right, Gloria just delivered her State of Donation!

    The Difference Between Rich/Poor People?

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the
country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be
    considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the
    trip?”

    “It was great, Dad.”

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.

    “Oh yeah,” said the son.

“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

    The son answered:

“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a
    creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go
    beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
    protect them.”

    The boy’s father was speechless.

Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Isn’t perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what
    we don’t have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

“Life is too short and friends are too few.”

  66. Talaga,AK-47, natatawa nga kami ng dumating yung tangke alongside the military truck that brought the officers to the trial venue. Nasa loob naman ng military camp. Paranoid talaga.

    Ms. Ellen,

You asked me “why would the government give Gen. Miranda a lawyer?” I lived in America for a long time before I got married, & in the U.S. the gov’t provides free legal services, so I thought that Frank Chavez could be given by the gov’t in the same way as the US judicial system works.

You also asked me “Why, what’s the problem with Frank Chavez?” Ms. Ellen, I don’t even know the guy from Adam to even have a problem with him, however, from what I’ve been told, he has never won a case. As I said I’m just “Trying lang to understand”.

Thank you, though, for answering my question.

Here’s a new twist to the Marines’ Beheadings:

The prime suspect rearing his ugly head in the heinous mutilation is allegedly a certain Akbar Wahid, a known asset of shady elements in the military and the feudal-trapo Mindanao politics of the Gloria regime.

“Akbar is their man,” a former mayor of Quezon City and reformed former operator of the Peping Cojuangco in Mindanao politics told us… What for? Apparently, to fire up popular support for anti-MILF hysteria and war; and deploy posthaste critical Marines divisions to Mindanao, as far away as can be from Manila .

… indicate that in the aftermath of the firefight, unidentified elements entered the scene to commit the mutilations that the MILF wasn’t aware of. – HT Laurel

The above has been what i’ve been saying on previous threads . That it could not be the regular MILF for they had acknowledged right away that they are engaging the Marines for intrusion. And even call for International Human RIghts Group to conduct investigation on the subject.

The timing of the incident was too perfect for the grand launching of HocusPocus Security Act [HSA].

This bogus president has gone mad.

  72. Chabeli, it’s not true that Frank Chavez has not won a case. I know of two cases that he has won: one is the PEA-Amari case, otherwise known as the grandmother of all scams. He succeeded in having that anomalous contract declared illegal by the Supreme Court.

The other one is having court declare Mike Arroyo as “public figure”, not as a private person as Arroyo insists.

That’s only two that I know of. There could be others.

  73. Sampot Sampot

  74. Chabs, here in the Philippines, the government also provides lawyers to indigents. Gen. Miranda does not belong to that category.

There are military lawyers standing ready for the accused. But so far the accused officers prefer counsels of their choice.

    I hope I’m of help.

In most countries, Public Defenders are provided to accused in criminal cases, but due to some countries limited resources for this purpose, an accused has to be take what he or she is offered not of his own choice of a defense lawyer. I think in the U.S. is also the same where pools of Public Defenders are provided the defendants of no means, whereas in our Case, a legal aid certificate is issued and can be used to hire any lawyer of the accused choice, who paticipate in the program and most do.

The incarcerated officers pay their own lawyers. Some lawyers are pro bono (not charging for even a penny) just because they believe in the cause of the incarcerated soldiers. But for the other lawyers, some of them have to even shell out 40,000 pesos for just the initial consultation. Then for every meeting and court appearances, anywhere from 3,000 or up just for their gas and time only. Some of the accused have four lawyers to cover all the aspects of their case although only one or two sit at the hearing. The preparation for each of the hearing is very involved. A lot of research go into these hearings.

So, the financial toll is high for these incarcerated officers. Some of their children have to even stop going to school. Although some help come from donors, it is never enough to pay for all the expenses incurred in this kangaroo court. Unlike the US and EU and some of the first world countries, most accused pay for their own legal fees in the Philippines.

  79. goji goji

If these accused military officers have their own private lawyers, where do they get the money to pay for the latter’s legal services. As parasabayan pointed out unless it’s pro-bono, the legal fees are huge. Atty. Chavez being an “abogado de camapanilla” usually charges high fees. Is he taking his military client’s case for free? Chavez did represent some controversial figures in the past. As lawyer, one is bound by his profession to take a case whether as private prosecutor or defendant. So, even if a lawyer knows the accused is clearly guilty of the crime he committed, the lawyer is obliged to defend this client but the fee could be very high. It reminds me of this Canadian Black who was recently convicted in the US. He has hired a very good expensive lawyer with a reputation of defending clients on appeal. He is described as the appeal expert lawyer in the US.

Ellen, the rest- re Wahab Akbar/Tipo-tipo:

If you’ve already forgottem, Wahab Akbar, the Basilan ex-Gov with 3 wives (2 recently won as town mayors) was mentioned in Hello Garci. It was in Tipo-tipo that Garci was overheard ordering the kidnapping of teacher Rashma Hali. Gloria called Garci several times regarding this and her act of complicity in that kidnapping is one sticky issue that makes her shun any and all investigations of the Hello Garci Tapes. This portion of the tape also had many revelations regarding the Garci Generals and the military.

To wit (medyo mahaba ito, Ellen):

Conversation between Gary (V. Garcillano) and believed to be Code 1 (Pres. Gloria Macapagal-
    Arroyo) on 07 16:10 June ’04

    Garcillano: Hello.
GMA: Hello, did you get my text about the Tipo-tipo?
Garcillano: Oho ma’am. Kwan ho, that’s what I’m being fearful about. Kung si Rashma Hali ‘yun, that’s
why we are asking people to look for her so that we can control her.
GMA: She’s probably already being held by them.
    Garcillano: Ma’am?
GMA: She’s probably being held by them already.
Garcillano: She is. That’s why if it is possible we will have her family to call her up from Zamboanga.
    GMA: O sige. Ok.

Conversation between Gary (V. Garcillano) and believed to be Code 1 (Pres. Gloria Macapagal-
    Arroyo) on 07 19:17 June ’04

Ang inaano nila ngayon kaya nga…(line cut)

Conversation between Gary (V. Garcillano) and a certain Ruben on 07 20:38 June ’04
    Garcillano: Hello.
Ruben: Yeah, Garci, si Ruben. Anong balita?
Garcillano: Pero wala namang damage magagawa … (garbled) … pero kay Wahab. Kaya dapat si
    Wahab ang gumalaw niyan.
Ruben: Pero, magte-testify sya against the administration eh. Against the President.
Garcillano: How can she? Wala naman siyang ginawa kay Presidente.
Ruben: Eh hindi, di ba ang gagamiting magte-testify siguro ‘yun against the President
    makukuha.
Ruben: Si Ebron nga, hindi na nga dahil as of two days ago, nakausap na nga raw eh.
    Garcillano: Sinong nakausap?
Ruben: Si Ebron, nakausap na ng military.
Garcillano: Sabihin mo dyan sa military na ‘yan, wag silang masyadong kwan makikialam, kasi
sinampal pala si Ebron eh, aking tao yan eh, taga Batangas yan eh.
    Ruben: Ah ganun ba?
Garcillano: Oo, huwag namang ganun. Bago nila ginawa yun nung primero, sinampal pa siya eh, kaya
mangiyak-ngiyak yung tao eh. Ngayon, itong
si Rashma Hali, wala naman masasabi against kay ma’am eh, kahit anong gawin nila because she has
not done anything except kay Wahab Akbar.
Garcillano: Ah, pabayaan mo siya but it does not have anything to do with the President.
Garcillano: Oo, pero dapat malaman ni Wahab na si Wahab, kasi ang more damage will be against that
    Wahab Akbar, not the President…”
Ruben: Bakit, maapektuhan ba yung boto ni Wahab?
Garcillano: Siya talaga ang ano, ang malaking ano, naka-pabor.
    Ruben: Uh-hm.
Because, I want to clean out kung alin yung mga by municipality results.
Garcillano: Alam mo si Wahab was working for FPJ actually.
    Ruben: Oo, nung una.
Garcillano: Nung nalaman niyang matatalo si FPJ, saka bumaligtad.
    Ruben: Sinabi mo. Totoo talaga.
them to get her family kung halimbawa.
    yan, wala namang alam yan.

  84. Thanks Tongue for the transcipt.

In some of the news reports, it was Wahab Akbar who seved kuno as negotiator for the ceasefire during that 9-hour seige. Accounts of some of the survivors said during lulls in the fighting, they thought a ceasefire had already been forged only to be confronted with more attacks from the MILF.

It was Akbar who retrieved the dead, mutilated bodies for the military. Di ba pasalamat ng husto ang gobyerno?

Atty. Chavez is a good lawyer and handsome (except for his not so smooth facial skin). BTW, I think he was rumored to have an affair with former actress Alice Dixon. If Chavez in single, who cares. I notice that he usually takes difficult and complicated cases especially involving human rights issues. He’s on the side of the aggrieved. I really wish he would run again for public office. He needs to make sure he belongs a credible and stable political party.

  86. goji goji

More on Chavez, if I’m not mistaken, I think he represented jueteng whistleblower Sandra Cam. I recall Chavez losing his temper during his argument with Sen. Gordon in one senate hearing. Chavez is like Rene Saguisag, combative and fearless. I think both served under the Cory Aquino administration.

This is off topic; Allow me to post this in here. This is my post on MLQ blog,to the bloogers in there who are trying to strike us out.—-Hey you all techno-geek after reading you all, you are no difference with my neighbor epileptic daughter. Your yardstick don’t even measure up on Newton’s third law. Your instinctive mind is stained by the filth of evil instinct of jealousy and enviousness, without achieving anything.

I am a lurker at Ellen’ Blog and I see nothing that impaired my opinion to cause my blood pressure to boil, you may call it a scream therapy or whatever you began to compare yourselves with others, especially with the people who fly around the world, live in luxurious estates, drive BMWs and the ones who wine and dine in five-star hotels. In a way we are witness to the emerging thecno culture and everyone wants to be part of it. Of course, there is nothing wrong in having such thoughts and desires. In fact, these thoughts not merely widen our mental horizons but also help us to learn from others and improve wicked vision on our own lives. But the problem occurs when people want what they want in a split of second, a ridiculing culture in a crab mentality world.

  90. cocoy cocoy

    Goji;
These accused soldiers are entitled to a free legal counsel. In general court-martial cases, a military attorney, called a (defense counsel), represents the accused soldiers on trial. Military attorneys are also known as “judge advocates.”This attorney is assigned free of charge to the accused whose on trial to protect their rights. They may also request a specific military attorney to join his defense team and, if available, that attorney will also be assigned free of charge to the defense team. Finally, at his own expense, the defendant may hire a civilian attorney even so, the military attorneys remain assigned to the case.

Are you familiar with Miranda warning? You know these words. You’ve heard them: “You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you free of charge.” They come right after: “You have the right to remain silent

Any person haled into court, who is too poor to hire a lawyer, cannot be assured a fair trial unless counsel is provided for him. This seems to us to be an obvious truth . . . lawyers in criminal courts are necessities, not luxuries.

Do you think you can get a fair legal representation if you entrust your case to a public defender? No one, particularly law-abiding, taxpaying citizens, likes the idea of spending government revenues to this public defenders defending criminals. Understand that defending the downtrodden is overwhelming pro bono work. Criminal defense lawyers take many cases free of charge, and the salaries of public defenders and fees for appointed counsel are at the absolute bottom of legal services. No competent criminal defense lawyer can live on court-appointed fees, and many public defenders are permitted an outside private practice to supplement their meager governmental stipend. The work of these lawyers in this calling is unquestionably “for the public good.”You see, it is terrible to be poor and be accused, it is a terrible thing to be poor. It is far more terrible to be poor and without help in the most generous and competency level of par excellence lawyer to represent you in court. That is why they believe in Frank Chavez They need a heavy hitter to bat for them for a grandslam.

  102. Cocoy,

Was that you taking up the cudgels in Mlq3’s blog for whom you termed the “underclass minorities in Ellen’s blog?”

If it’s you, heartfelt thanks for fighting on our behalf, the “underclass minorities” here in Ellenville.

Appreciate reading your comments but one thing I noticed, your English there was very, incredibly faultless!.

  103. Also, folks here might want to know that John Marzan has been at the forefront of the defence of Ellenville, both blog owner and commenters, in Mlq3’s blog.

Ellen, what John says there (loads of comments from him) makes absolute sense.

Must say, I’m quite impressed with John because he’s battling with some weighty anti-Ellen blog and bloggers’ in Quezon’s!

  104. Sampot Sampot

    Thanks M’Ellen & TT.

Re: It was Akbar who retrieved the dead, mutilated bodies for the military. Di ba pasalamat ng husto ang gobyerno? – Ellen

Now it’s clearer to me just when did the mutilation occur and who is responsible for it.

  105. Tongue,

The contents of the transcript is absolutely shocking!

I’m speechless – how can people shit on other people’s right to vote?

  106. Chabeli Chabeli

Thanks for answering my queries, Ms. Ellen. It helped me understand things. Thanks, too, for clarifying regarding Atty. Frank Chavez, that he won major cases. Good to know, too, that Maj. Gen. Miranda is in good hands.

    Thank you again, Ms. Ellen.

  107. cocoy cocoy

    Anna;
Yes,I was me,I couldn’t stand the bashing anymore.

  108. Thanks Anna, Cocoy and John.

  109. cocoy cocoy

You are welcome Ellen. Sometimes a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do, if his to be a man. I am not in the habit of placing bets when I do not feel the odds are in my favor.

  110. Mrivera Mrivera

    he he heh.

pareng cocoy, sigurista ka , ha?

ayaw ni chin chin gutierrez ng ganyan.

  111. Ellen,

Some more inputs on the crowd control tank sent by Esperon to intimidate media and civilian family members of the incarcerated officers:

My husband said that he believes the ferret model above was used during the second world war; says as far as he could remember, he used to have Dinky toy models of those engines as a child (that little boys liked to play with) and used to see these assault engines roving around in Sandhurst where his Dad was one of the commanders in the late 50s; believes it must have been upgraded from Scout to Fox; they were sold in the 50s like pancakes to many armies in the world; also he corrected my caliber version of the gun saying the one in the pic is more likely .765 mm and not even 20 (which is supposed to be a huge gun); production of this ‘amrmoured’ vehicle was halted because RRF (recoiless rifle fire) bullets could go through the body armour of the tank (hence my version is right that the engine there which I’ve not seen in modern armies, IS indeed for crowd control); tells me too that no way that engine could go efficiently on the kind of terrain in Pinas, i.e., Mindanao or Nueva Viscaya, etc.

He’s ammused to still see a living, operational model in ‘action’!

Ellen, that stuff up there should be displayed in a museum…no kidding!

    # AK-47 Says:

    July 29th, 2007 at 8:50 pm

(doctor of ? what?).

    AK,

“Economissed” (to borrow from Tongue).

  113. chi chi

    Thanks, Tongue for the transcript.

  114. chi chi

Kapag ganyan na ang Ellenville ay tinatalakay outside of this blog, ibig lang sabihin ay SIKAT tayo sa lahat. yehey!

    Excellent, excellent “publicity” for Ellenville!

Thanks Anna, John M and Cocoy.

Chi; Those Ellen’s rejects are venting their frustration at Manolo Quezon’s blog site. They think they can’t be followed and they are wrong.I challenge anyone of them in a war of worlds if they don’t refrain from sowing false rumor. Here’s I post for Benigno and waiting for a salvo.

Wallaborongamala is the land down under BenignO. The Australian Government’s foreign policy welcomes all immigrants, especially those from poor countries who leech off welfare funds and cannot speak English. Congratulation to you,you learned to speak that language in a decade, now I know why you hate Filipinos. You heightened your perception that pinoys are lazy and drunken buffoons. We all know that’s not true. An eyebrows are raised when you comment about indulgence of pinoy, you set out to trap in a manner that would be totally contrary to accepted to anyone’s intellect standards. Choreograph your contribution to Australiano, your dancing ocho-ocho. By the way I am a regular at Ellen’s blog Benigno. Stop ridiculing that site.

  116. Mrivera Mrivera

    anna,

  120. Mrivera Mrivera

bakit? sino ba nag-umpisang gawing katawatawa ‘yung armored pedicab nina espweron, di ba kayo?

at saka ano’ng malay natin baka gawing bridal car ‘yun kapag nagpakasal ‘yung dalawa pag namatay ‘yung comatose na baboy?

  121. Hindi comatose MR. Nandun siya noong SONA. Na-interview pa nga siya. He said trapolita never fails to find time for them despite her busy schedule.

Manuel B said he saw him playing golf at the Country Club last weekend.

  122. Mrivera Mrivera

    pareng cocoy,

  123. cocoy cocoy

    pareng mrivera;
Masarap talaga ang tagay-tagay dito,I take your advice.

  124. Mrivera Mrivera

    ellen,
