Anomalous ZTE contract continues to unravel

Let’s watch closely the unraveling of the ZTE conspiracy. I will only believe that there is justice in this country if the real big fishes, who are Gloria Arroyo and her husband, and their co-conspirators are dumped in jail.

Update:

Joey de Venecia: Abalos bugged me

That means the military was again used by Gloria Arroyo for another crime of monumental plunder. That’s why you have Arroyo invoking the “secrecy” of the military. Secrecy in the crime against the Filipino people.

Arroyo: we must honor contracts.

Of course, or else she will have to return those millions and millions of pesos in commission ($200 million. That’s in dollars!) they have already received. As Joey de Venecia recounted of their meeting with Abalos and ZTE officials, ZTE director Fan Yang asked Abalos, “What about the money we already advanced, Mr. Chairman?”

Now, Sen. Edgardo Angara is blocking the Senate Blue Ribbon committee’s investigation of this anomaly. His law firm, ACCRA, is counsel for ZTE.

It would be interesting to watch what Speaker JDV would do in that fiasco. But it’s his own son who’s involved in the fight. On whose side would JDV be? If JDV finally comes to his son’s rescue, it may well be the beginning of the ouster of Gloria. This may be the one we all have been waiting for. Sige, mag-away away silang mga demonyo.

We must honor contract with Tsina, Seniora! Signing a contract with China and walking away to wait for the desired result is a recipe for disaster,Atay ninyo na gagawin nilang tsinis bopis ang kapalit. Chinese believes, signing a contract signifies the beginning of negotiations and do not assume that you can sign the contract, walk away and know what will happen next, it means something very different to them. If America has Mafiosa, Japan is Yakusa, China has the powerful Triad.

If all the friends of Abalos who witnessed the meetings of JDV’s son and Abalaos(several times even) will testify, lagot si Abalaos. Let us just watch these mafia gang eliminate each other! Masaya talaga! Once a thread break lose, everything will spill!

If tengang daga’s son will be consistent with his efforts to pin down Abalaos and his gang on this ZTE deal, he would be able to redeem all the sins of his father to the Filipinos. It is about time this regime stops their corrupt ways! JDV can not afford to lose another child (he lost one to the fire). Kailangang kampihan niya si Joey ngayon!

Former NEDA chief Romulo Neri and DOTC assistant secretary Lorenzo Formoso III are potential state witness to spill the beans. Both knows the under the table secret ZTE dealings. Gloria and Abalos are roasted alive.

  9. chi chi

If the price is right, Joey might just seal his lips and JDV remains Gloria’s aliping saguiguilid.

If these two possible witnesses will stand up for what is right, malaking tulong talaga sa bansa natin. It is about time may magmamalasakit naman din sa kaban natin.

A few principled men in her circle doing her in will be great! It will save lives and resources.

If Erap was convicted for plunder, there are bigger plunderers in tiyanak’s court! Panahon na para pabagsakin sila isa isa!

The editorial cartoon of PhilStar lampoons J. Cruz battling a ZTE dragon and is startled by a new foe (Cyber-Ed project). How about the other projects in the $1.8 BILLION loan package lumped with CyberEd and ZTE? Are they benign or hostile?
But focusing on ZTE and Chinese goods, I received this email from a Bakersfield, Ca friend:
A little American Indian boy asked his father, the big chief and witch doctor of the tribe, ‘Papa, why is it that we always have long names, while the white men have shorter names like Bill , Tex or Sam?’
His father replied, ‘Look, son, our names represent a symbol, a sign, or a poem for our culture not like the white men, who live all together and repeat their names from generation to generation. Also, it is part of our makeup that in spite of everything, we survive.
For example, your sister’s name is Small Romantic Moon Over The Lake, because on the night she was born, there was a beautiful moon reflected in the lake.
Then there’s your brother, Big White Horse of the Prairies, because he was born on a day that the big white horse who gallops over the prairies of the world appeared near our camp and is a symbol of our capacity to live and the life force of our people. It’s very simple and easy to understand. Do you have any other questions, Little Broken Condom Made in China?

See, even the head of the catholic church, Rosales can not even stand up for his flock. I know that Neri was thrown around like a ball and he may have resentments towards the tiyanak.

It is so difficult to believe in any of the tiyanak’s appointees because most of them are vultures.

If the good ones can stand up to be counted on, they have to be very careful with their lives and those of their immediate families. Tiyanak has hired goons and for only 500 pesos, someone can kill anyone.

What is secret in punggok military? Ginagamit nila ang secrecy to protect Garci.

Secrecy seeking to avoid controversy and to manage public perceptions that they cheated the election results. Invoking military secrecy provides a formidable barrier to inquisitive investigation by the lawmakers and for the ordinary citizen to know. The fundamental issue here goes deeper to the cheating in previous election administered by Abalos and Esperon. It is a question of whether we shall have responsive answer form them, accountable for their action. We have evolved a political system for regulating the actions of our corrupt leaders, Gloria’s military secrecy, kuno! is an assault on this delicate and vital investigation. Too,bad! Gokusen made an XXX expose on your secrecy per se.

I recall what someone told me..Mike Arroyo was suppose to have gone to China sometime in April of this year, however he suffered a heart attack which was a near-death experience for him. Mike was supposed to have met the ZTE officials in China. So instead, Gloria left for China, despite the condition of her husband. The Pidals needed the money for the upcoming May elections.

No wonder Gloria & her pigs are scrambling to do something about the ZTE Broadland deal. In fact, Gloria said that the deal will push through despite media’s attack towards it (stupid reasoning, if you ask me). I think the real reason the deal has to push through come hell or high water is because she cannot return the money. It has been spent !

  26. Ellen,

“I will only believe that there is justice in this country if the real big fishes, who are Gloria Arroyo and her husband, and their co-conspirators are dumped in jail.”

    That’s exactly my sentiment.

At the moment, it’s true there’s some form of justice, it’s called a semblance of justice, the little fishes who have committed malversation of public funds (read it somewhere in the Inquirer) to the tune of some hundreds of thousands of pesos, are jailed, children from impoverished familes who look after themselves, i.e., commit misdemeanours, are caught and sent to jail with adult criminals and traffic violaters are stopped (but freed when they pay tong), etc., etc., but that is all about going through the motions of paperwork, technical analyses of the law to produce a SEMBLANCE OF JUSTICE.

The Philippine society is very legalistic, the big fishes hire topnotch legal technicians to interpret the laws for them and then when they find a loophole, an absence of a comma, a semi-colon in the text, they break the law – but of course, they use that to promote their sense of Rule of Law.

There is NO JUSTICE in Pinas… not while Gloria and her husband, their equally corrupt and criminal friends are scot free.

  67. “Gloria is planning to buy helicopters Made in China.” Is this true?

Geez, she’s gotta be careful. The Chinese defence industry is highly reputed for buying equipment from the West and if the west refuses to sell them major tech equipment, they take pictures when they attend intl defence shows – from there, they assemble their own with their own technology to look like the ones they see in the shows and bingo – they sell them.

They did that to a missile system. They bought bits and pieces of some missiles from the west, followed some of the specs they saw in French missile brochures (that industrialists distribute to their would be clients) and came up with a semblace of one French medium range (not vshorad) air defence missile.

I saw a Chinese prototype in a defence show in Manila back in the mid-90s – I was gobsmacked! Exactly the same French missile in appearance, the same size, the same use, you’d think it was a twin of the French one (their brochures had the same layout too – hahahahah!).

We learned later on that when the Chinese tried to test theirs, it went 50 ft and bang! Hahahahahahaha!

Seriously, the Chinese tried to sell their VSHORAD missiles (their Stinger version) to the AFP during the time of Gen Boy Enrile. Actually, Enrile had already signed and recommended for the purchase because the Chinese VShorads were really being sold cheap – something like 200 US$ a piece at the time while the Stinger was so much more expensive, 1,600 US per unit at the time.

What’s so funny is the Chinese version was like firecrackers – you need to launch a thousand units to make sure one hits a target.

    Hahahahahah!

China plans to sell military eight Harbin Z-9 utility helicopters to the Philippines to replace the old Bell UH-1H helicopters. Philippines government officials have showed their interest in the Z-9 and other China-made utility helicopters.

Companies like McDonnell Douglas, AgustaWestland were also reported to have joined the bidding for a contract of eight attack helicopters valued at US$25.8 million.
Currently, the Southeast Asian country has 38 UH-1Hs and a mix of other helicopters, such as Sikorsky S-70s and S-76s, as well as Bell 205s, 214s and 412s. The government expects to buy more utility helicopters to improve the military control and regulation in the country.

Ans. Bush’s three warships have been in the Philippines on the same day the Erap verdict was out. There are two angles we can see from the arrival of these ships. One, to extract some things from the Philippines of GMA. Who knows what GMA surrendered on the day the verdict came out. Uncle Sam could have threatened: If you want to remain in power, we want this and that. Otherwise, we’re going to give our signal to your troops that are friendly to Uncle Sam. If I’m not mistaken, I think it was Ambassador Kenney who first called the attention of Gloria’s government on the ZTE deal through a letter of sorts some time back. Although it goes without saying that the US would protect its interests, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the ones who “leaked” the ZTE Broadband deal to the Filipino public.

These 4 Daily Tribune Headlines today are an example of the current problems in store for the Arroyo Administration let alone what has been going on before.
    (1) Rumors were spreading inside AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City yesterday that there are military officers and men who felt disgruntled with the “political verdict” handed down by the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan against Estrada last Wednesday.
    (2) Amid developments surrounding the controversial national broadband network (NBN) project the Philippine government entered into with Chinese firm ZTE Corp., the United States has reiterated the need for the Arroyo administration to be “open and transparent” in handling public contracts. US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney yesterday told reporters. she had written the Arroyo administration, calling for transparency in its bidding processes to Romulo Neri.
Villar said “This deal involves P16 billion and the documents disappeared in thin air? Are we not being outrageous? These practices make it even harder to accept the (guilty)verdict on (deposed) President (Joseph) Estrada,” he noted.
On top of the list of controversial deals under the Arroyo government is the $329-million NBN deal entered into by the Department of Transportation and Communications with ZTE Corp. and the $400-million Cyber Education Project of the Department of Education with China’s Tsing Hua University as the project provider.
    (3) If the controversial Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (Jpepa) was put to a vote in the Senate for ratification yesterday, it would have been rejected outright by the members of the chamber simply because of the government panel’s failure to make a convincing presentation of the treaty’s purported benefits to the country.
    (4) P500-M Ched ‘white elephant’
Several officials of the Commission on Higher Education (Ched) are now in hot water after having been implicated in the implementation of a P500-million campus-based call center project originally aimed at creating more jobs for college graduates in the country.
An 11-page document obtained by reporters showed alleged blatant irregularities in the conceptualization and bidding of the project dubbed the Integrated Multi-Site Business Process Outsourcing-Incubation Contact Centers.
In a letter dated Aug. 29 and addressed to the Ched chairman and commissioners, Executive Director William Medrano, together with officials of the Ched bids and awards committee regarding the purported alteration of the original concept of the project; the questionable hiring of a project consultant in the amount of P500,000 without bidding; and the questionable initial disbursement of more than P75 million for the project, among others. The Tribune tried to get in touch with the Ched officials concerned but to no avail.

Don’t look now, but ZTE also has power projects in the pipeline. In Mindanao alone, P99.5Billion, again: P99.5Billion was earmarked by DOE, headed by Top Moron Angge Reyes who couldn’t tell apart power from energy. As Abalos is known as Gloria’s hero in 2004, Reyes is Gloria’s hero in 2001.

P18B of that is already committed for the Mindanao Coal-fired plant which they plan to award before the year ends. (Has anyone here heard if it has been publicly bidded out? Or is it another military secret?) I don’t see any urgency for this fast-track purchase which purpose, government says, is to stop an impending power shortage in Mindanao due to a projected sharp rise in economic activity!

Oh yeah? You call “searching for soldiers’ missing heads and other body parts and firing mortar and howitzer duds” economic activity? Now I see, some people are making good money despite, no, because, of the war.

Anna, I am familiar with the dealings in DOE, I was working on an already-awarded unsolicited BOT project which never had any bidding but was canceled anyway because Ramos’ boys had taken over.

This ZTE NBN and Cyber-Ed projects, remember, never underwent the usual bidding since these were unsolicited proposals. Later, the proponents, even Malacañang, were saying these were gov’t-to’gov’t contracts that do not require bidding.

Now, if they fast-track the coal plant and use the same reasoning, that it is a gov’t-to-gov’t deal, how do you charge them? They learned about this very convenient route during the Northrail project. They could’ve said, hey, it’s easy after all.

Look, Anna, every big-ticket infra-project is now using the same modus operandi, with the bribery-friendly Chinese banks ready to capture all the project financing requirements of it’s newest client, the Republic of the Philippines represented by Abalos, Lapuz, Mendoza, and Reyes who represents Gloria Arroyo.

Gloria Arroyo represents unparalleled, insatiable greed humans never heard of before nor were known to be capable of.

  102. Tongue,

“Look, Anna, every big-ticket infra-project is now using the same modus operandi, with the bribery-friendly Chinese banks ”

Amazing insight. I’ve just been to Schumey’s blog and posted my thoughts wherein I suggested that the ZTE found Abalos to be their fixer through the chairman or CEO of a Chinese bank in Pinas.

I wrote there a modus operandi of sorts on how the organized crime syndicate in Malacanang operates, particularly at DoTC.

  103. “Gloria Arroyo represents unparalleled, insatiable greed humans never heard of before nor were known to be capable of.”

Dead on! I’ve dealt with 3 presidents in the past and believe me, I’ve never seen someone as ganid as this one.

  104. One of those very close to Angie Reyes and is doing his legwork for him by being a fixer for foreign companies is Ed Vaca and his nephew.

Ed Vaca used to be a paramour of one of a Ms International.

  105. “Later, the proponents, even Malacañang, were saying these were gov’t-to’gov’t contracts that do not require bidding.”

But even then, Tongue, there is a law that says the govt can enter into a govt to govt contract provided it represents an enormous advantage to the govt. They can do this only if they compare the proposals even if outside of a bidding.

Or it appears now that the ZTE proposal is said to be more expensive, or twice one of the offers that was made earlier on, so in theory, the govt is breaking the law (DoTC) because the ZTE contract is disadvantageous to the govt.

  106. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

WWNL, yah, I know how difficult it is for sensitive people to feel for their neighbors who have less. But what makes my acids boil inside me is when our gov’t takes us for a ride and even think we wouldn’t notice or even if we did, we are helpless anyway. And they do it at the expense of people like your neighbors.

Like these Chinese contracts, now that only Chinese banks are lending (did they try borrowing from others, in the first place?) shall it be made standard to skip all biddings and award bloated contracts “fixed” by palace favorites for their last hurrahs?

WWNL, I won’t switch off the lights if I’m the last to leave. At least we have use for a new P18B plant.

  107. By the way, Tongue, speaking of Chinese investments, did you know that a group that had tried to make Sabah secede from Malaysia (goddamit, Sabah is ours what the fuck do they think they’re doing!) and make it an independent state were led by a Chinese group there?

I heard, they are at it again, with lots of Chinese money from China being distributed and invested left right and center.

  108. This labo labo thing among the deal makers in Gloria’s govt must be giving Gloria a big headache, as we say “When it rains, it pours!” that’s why she’s going globe trotting for a long time – she wants to go away where there is not much rain. heheheh!

“But even then, Tongue, there is a law that says the govt can enter into a govt to govt contract provided it represents an enormous advantage to the govt. They can do this only if they compare the proposals even if outside of a bidding.”

Does “advantage” mean to be a retirement fund for a very cooperative old dog? I don’t see any advantage awarding it to ZTE. DeVenecia’s AHI proposal is, at least, Pinoy-owned, cheaper, and requires no intial investment for government. And most of all, it is BOT.

Rules? What rules? In order to operate a broadband network, a company must be sanctioned by NTC and hold a utility franchise from congress. Neither ZTE nor AHI has both.

Laws? Whose laws? SC grants TRO on ZTE-NBN deal. The next day, Gloria announces we will honor the contracts.

The GMA-HU summit in Sydney and discussion of the stinking ZTE deal was just a ploy to deodorize the stench and allay the bad publicity. Ate Glue later clearly stated in a speech her intent to honor the contract. Neri and Apostol say there is no contract, or are they as good as Ate Glue in the art of prevarication. But the ZTE-NBN deal is now emerging as the proverbial tip of the iceberg, massive and fearsome. I hinted earlier that our worry should be on the cost of this junket, not merely the expense of the PAL plane charter but the furtive deals the entourage will commit mortgaging our posterity. The prophetic forewarning has transformed into a revelation — the big projects in the $1.8 Billion loan that includes the Zte, Cyber-Education and North Rail projects, a loan that looms as an atrociously arrant borrowing frenzy by rapacious officials preparing for their 2010 ejection. Eight Hundred BILLION Pesos. And it is only the tip.
Tongue’s cute turn of phrase about Angelic Reyes (“in whose DNA one can find the perfect blueprint for building an idiot”) made on his last day at DENR that they will honor their contract despite the recommendation of an undersecretary to terminate it on valid legal grounds. And, TT goes on, ZTE also has DOE power projects in Mindanao, P99.5Billion, , headed by Top Moron Angge Reyes who couldn’t tell apart power from energy.
This adds up to almost a TRILLION pesos that generations of Pinoys are burdened (cursed?) to carry, a good portion of which, like the ZTE, will be an involuntary gift to Ate Glue and her avaricious minions.

The loot of plunder would be meaningless if the fruit cannot be enjoyed by a lifeless plunderer. Such is the perceptive vision of Ate Glue to ensure long life even after retribution comes to pass, as she well knows will come.

Sa foreign passport nakasulat kung saan ka sa Pinas ipinang-anak.     Taga de cebu;

Of course! The president will select her loyal chief of staff. A person whom the president can trust. What happened to Erap? He trusted Hudas as his chief of staff, he was betrayed! If Lacson was his chief of staff maybe the ending of the story is different.

The highest chief in the military is vital to the President, Esperon have the power to fulfill his responsibility to protect the troops under his command. Indeed that his obligation to do so. He can relieve the president under his command, not on her president position, but the military role of the president as commander-in-chief, in addition to relieving the president of her command as a commander-in-chief, the military chief of Staff such as Esperon have the authority to place the president under military arrest. That is the reason punggok is kissing ass with Esperon. It will be a good news to Pinoy if Esperon will be high on coke someday and he will place Gloria under military arrest for plunder.

    2) do community services for life..clean all CRs and bidets..clean and wash all your shitty deals..return the money..wala na? what about the bank accounts in Germany or else where?

There’s a new twist to the ongoing ZTE anomaly. The young De Venecia revealed that aside from Sec. Mendoza and Abalos, there was a mystery man who bullied him into backing off. I hope too that the senate will hurry up with their motions submitted to the Supreme Court while the two Sandigan Bayan justices(those who convicted Erap) are not yet seated.

As it is, the Supreme Court almost always votes 8 to 7. Put two tiyanak justices an it will be 10 to 5. Nakakatakot na talaga. How will the Supreme Court act as a check and balance for the tiyanak when she has most of the justices in her pocket? The worse has yet to come. Hurry up Ping and Villar, hurry up! Tapusin na ninyo ang laban ng bayan! The streets are all lined with the tiyanak’s bodyguards! The people will be risking their lives if they protest. The Senate and the Supreme Court are our only hope to clip the tiyanak’s wicked ways! Thank God, the people have learned that the fight in not on the streets anymore! Here’s one about El Shaddai and Bro. Mike:

National Federation of the Philippine Press Clubs (NFPPC) president Felix Villacastin and the group’s member-media in Butuan City, Agusan del Sur province, yesterday urged the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Air Transportation Office (ATO), the Office of the Ombudsman, Congress and even the hierarchy of the Catholic Church to investigate El Shaddai leader Bro. Mariano “Mike” Velarde and his family for allegedly duping his followers through the religious organization’s so-called prayer rallies.

Villacastin and local NFPPC members signed a five-page open letter addressed to the government agencies, Congress and the leaders of the Catholic Church calling for an immediate investigation of the El Shaddai leader’s alleged nefarious activities.

The group alleged that Velarde fields workers under the close supervision of his wife, Belen, and children Rene, Frank, Sheryl and Michael who would then supposedly collect thousands of envelopes containing donation money and prayer requests using specially designed sacks with which estimated millions of pesos are collected during prayer rallies.

  187. cocoy cocoy

    Maarte;

Villarde’s religion is a hoax, people need to wake up to the truth. I don’t even convince myself that his “El Shaddai” is a religion. His religion is of manmade traditions and lies of the devil. It certainly is not a Biblical testament. One plus one, seven plus seven! I have no intentions to be unkind to his followers, many of his belevers will be offended because the truth always offends those who are living in sin and darkness. Just as Jesus Christ my Saviour, I am more willing to be divided over truth than to be united by mistakes. I cannot compromise my hard earn dollar because it does not compromise my belief on his one plus one!.It is evil to reject the plain teachings of Christ in exchange for the traditions of men such as Villarde and the Pope in Vatican.

The priest also are all fanatic of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy which is beyond comprehension of ordinary human minds. Religious doctrine of any church is nothing but nurturing innocent mind in growing up believing magic ,fairies and angels in their imaginary world. Harry Potter is a power ranger for the children to see the difference between good and evil.

Villarde’s religion is in fact, not a church.”El Shaddai is a false religion spawned from hell, damning the untold souls of his believers to a Godless eternity in the fires of hell. The Bible warned us about such sinister ministers who come to us in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. T

Jesus warns us of those false priests who would forbid us to marry (celibacy) or eat meat. Iglesia ni Cristo cannot eat dinuguan and catholic cannot eat certain meats on Friday of holy week. We are commanded not to call any man our father, except our biological father. Only God is our Heavenly Father and we should not reverence any human being. I am totally against any minister, Iglesia man o katoliko, using the term reverend, father in his title, for only God is to be reverend. I think sinners and suckers, sounds much better to address them. It is time for people to wake-up and stop giving their money and time to false religions such as these kind. We must seek God on our own, not through Villarde, Manalo and Rosales. These three who corrupted their soul need to go to confessional booth. Not Me,you,Pareng Mrivera,Pareng Emil,Pareng Ka Enchong,Neonate and Tongue. We are a group of person na “Takot sa Kumander” and are exempted to kneel on confessional booth and saying”Bless Me Father for I have sinned!”

The anomalous ZTE contract runs deep along Malacanang’s stinky Pasig River. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has an existing broadband network linking about 80 government agencies. Why Sec. Mendoza of DOTC is pushing another broadband project instead of improving the existing one from DOST? The DOST proposed its version of NBN project by making use of their limited budget to interconnect with the country’s top telecommunication companies. The scheme is more logical and economical in the long term basis.

She said, is a belief in God is just something to accept and skip. Thus, if we think of religion as belief, we have to conclude that religion is irrelevant, which doesn’t seem quite right to me. I also asked her how about the catholic, being a catholic everyone must go to church every time they bought a new clothing and drop some money on the collection box. That is why I have an unending love to my mother-in-law, she gave me a beautiful wife. I don’t kicked her in my house though, she kept all her SSI.

    How about internet via satellite?
Internet satellite communications is more practical than broadband network due archipelago nature of the Philippines. Broadband or DSL relies on existing telephones lines. Mabuhay-Agila 2 is one of the most powerful satellites delivers broadcast television, telephone and data services to an area that covers the Asia-Pacific region.

Mabuhay-Agila II, a joint venture composed of the telecommunications and broadcast industries of the Philippines, Indonesia and China operating advanced communications satellites in Asia. El Shaddai came into existence at the height of the Born Again, Charismatic groups craze. I think those were in the early 80s. Halleluja! Praise the Lord!…those were and are still the cries of these self-proclaimed Christians. Born Again groups used to be Protestants who decided to call themselves as Born Again Christians. Then followed the Born Again Catholics. El Shaddai began as a movement cooked up by this Mike Velarde. It was sanctioned and encouraged by the Catholic Church. Nag-click kaya tuloy-tuloy.

The pastor said it was written in the Bible, Then, he asked me question, what church did Jesus built, I told him I dunno! He told me that it was Iglesia ni Kristo–He read the Bible to me in Tagalog version. But, if it was English, it should be Church of Christ, do you agree with me, Kumpare?

I disagree with him and I told him; many followers of religion feel that only their path can lead to salvation. They have tremendous faith in their own religion, but at the same time they feel other religions are wrong and cannot lead a seeker to God.— He never come back and I can save now on Folgers ,coffemate, sugar, pandesal and sometimes I order Palabok with calamansi.

Didn’t I earlier say it was Mike Arroyo? No one thought of him. Why did this “Someone Big” leave the country a day before the Senate hearing when JDV III would reveal who the Mystery Man is?

MANILA, Philippines–First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo slipped out of the country at sunset Monday, the eve of the Senate investigation into the controversial National Broadband Network (NBN) deal with China’s ZTE Corp.
Arroyo was last to board Cathay Pacific flight CX-918 some 10 minutes before the plane took off for Hong Kong at 5:55 p.m. It was not clear whether he was to take a connecting flight to another destination.

Metrobank EDSA-TRAMO branch is in the next block to my house. It’s probably the smallest Metrobank branch in terms of office space. But this branch produces the biggest cash production week on week. Of course, it does. It is the depository bank of Velarde’s El Shaddai. It’s probably the only bank in the country that works 365 days a year cuz they receive Bro. Mike’s deposits over the weekeend, mostly counted manually because the bills are so old and worn out it won’t pass the bill counting machine.

So if El Shaddai decides to close its account in that Metrobank branch, bankrupt agad. Same is true with banks where the INK’s money are deposited. Once, there was a misunderstanding between the bank and INK on a property. The bank brought the matter to the court and INK was upset.
All the employees at that bank who were INK members were instructed by their church to resign. Walang nagawa ang bank kundi makipag-ayos. It was later settled…in whose favor? You know who.

The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee must crucify Gloria Arroyo, Jose Pidal, Benjamin Abalos and Leandro Mendoza in the ZTE broadband kickbacks. Senators Cayetano, Biazon, Lacson and Pimentel please do your job as true and patriotic senators of the republic.

  201. maarte maarte

Malabo iyang gusto mo na ma-crucify sila, Diego. Other than Lacson and Pimentel, the other opposition senators are surprisingly quiet. We have not even heard anything from Trillanes for a long time now. Si Zubiri din (baka nanlalalaki).
