We need Patriotic Funds for these Patriotic Events.

  2. Tilamsik Tilamsik

Funds is not necessary, a clear conscience with truth in every heart is more than enough funds.

    ORGANIZE..ORGANIZE..mag aral.. matuto..makibaka..!!

  3. Please kayo na lang when it comes to funds.

I will be really surprised if not.

Is it worth celebrating EDSA 1 anniversary?
Personally, I think there’s nothing to celebrate about. It’s only about personal pride of the main beneficiaries and celebrants who wanted to be always remembered as heroes and refused to be sidelined into oblivion. It’s all about ego.

What major changes and accomplishments to uplift the livelihood of the poor have been done after EDSA 1? Nothing except to use them as props during elections. More and more scandals and corruption have been in the menu of every administration. Not only the amounts involved in corruption are mind boggling but people involved are becoming bolder and bolder doing it shamelessly and brazenly. Justice became a two-tierd system. Rule of law are often bended and used as tool to persecute political enemies. The rich became richer and the poor multiplied and became poorer. Is it worth then to celebrate?

Now, if these are the reasons to celebrate, I don’t know why one have to celebrate.

One undeniable fact that came out from EDSA was it only exposed all these greedy politicians outside the Marcos loop as predators lurking salivating and waiting for their chance to gain power and dip their fingers into the treasury. They are no different and maybe they are even worse than Marcos. Now we know the reason why they hate Marcos. They lost and waste a lot of times in filling up their own pockets and bank books.

    florry;

Everyone has to start speaking up,because it’s our moral duty, this evil-bitch devil antics can not go on until she finish her term. She is a very dangerous person and her programs are destroying the country. We Filipinos certainly need to get more physically involved with our future. Our country is doomed to failure at this rate.We should be returning to our efforts to bring peace and the hope of freedom. It seems that this Pidalism administration has squandered all the worlds goodwill toward us down the drain.

We are all responsible for Gloria’s kleptomaniac ego.If each of us does not speak up, in some way, then we are allowing her to guide our country down the road to ruin. We must become activists. Each of us can make a difference…and we can stop this evil, and I mean evil, regime. Some Filipinos are far too ignorant and apathetic to maintain any real democracy.Pidalism and cronies control the money and the money controls the people, including the politicians.Poor Filipinos don’t have the intelligence or the courage to oust the Devil, only few brave have the insight and integrity to save our country from dictatorship. The truth is ugly because politicians we elected has become ugly – and the truth is what our people fear most.

But until our peopl wake up from their Jollibee’s-induced cardiac coma and start realizing there’s other people than themselves, nothing will change.People in general in our country suck up whatever shit is shoveled to them by these Evil-Bitch and sit back smug in their knowledge that Esperon thugs can kick ass whenever and wherever they want.Payag ka ba tayo ng ganyan? Wake up and smell the coffee

  12. In search for Good Governance, why are we so obsessed with Politicians? Why are we doing this to ourselves?

We are always limiting ourselves and our choices to them. They have definitely lost relevance in this modern times.

If we want to move forward, we should forget all of them!

They are the bane, the reasons why we are in this nightmare in the first place.

My appeal is for everybody who love this country that much, to look for Alternative Leaders that goes beyond the realm of politics. Why can’t we pool talents from the Academe and Student Organizations, Doctors and other Professionals, Farmers and Fisherfolks, Skilled Workers, Teachers, Scientists and Inventors, etc?

These are the breed of men who can truly bring about real and tangible change. In fact, they’ve been doing that all along. Putting all of them as a Council in the Executive Branch is the Final Solution we all been waiting for.

We need a Council of Qualified and Dignified Leaders to share the power of the Executive, which already has a built-in, an inherent character of check and balance, so that a possibility of a one-man rule will become so remote.

    This is what we need.

This is what’s worth fighting for.

What do you to Gloria who says that “Ako ang Pangulo. (I am the President, no one else. I am the one who decides on the issues in government and not those who are not in government.)

Gloria said this “in a speech after a private mass with her her family and friends in Malacañang”.

Mahalaga ang People Power tuloy ang rally and prayer meeting.

ito lang masasabi ko: Sec. 1 ng 1987 Philippine Constitution — “Sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them.”

  17. Will the standard lines still work???

4)”This is just the work of a few politicians!”

5)”Pananagutin natin sila.

8)”Who would invest in the Philippines if people power would happen? ”

    9)”Let’s move on!”

    10)”I have no shame!”

tama na ang panloloko! it’s about time that people unite to end the present administration’s arrogance, cover-ups and never-ending lies.

  19. andres andres

Makibaka! Don’t be takot! O diba sosy, mala black and white and dating!

  21. People in the provinces should also be encouraged to stage and join rallies from tomorrow until it seeps into the head of the Evil Bitch that majority of Filipinos are fed up with her lies and bad governance and that no whitewashing of the graft and corruption, abuses and all by her and her people can no longer stop the call for her resignation here and now.

They do not have to come to Manila anymore since they cannot enter the city anyway. Let the whole world hear the cries of Filipinos from north to south of the Philippines and call for the resignation of “The Most Corrupt President of the Philippines.”

Pag no effect pa rin iyan, kalampagin na iyong mga tulog na sundalo para magising bago sila palitan ng brigada ng mga dugong aso like those used by the Spaniards to quell Filipino rebellions from Macabebe!

History in fact need not repeat itself. Some variations can be adopted as a matter of fact. 😛

  22. The idiot pretends to be unperturbed by talks of protest rallies that are getting to be bigger and bigger, louder and louder. She has been holding meetings with her faithful suhol receivers like Nograles and Evardone. And now we hear the well paid and well fed (lechon ang ulam, etc.) are holding pro-Arroyo rallies daw in suppoort of the crook. Dios mahabagin!

Now, see if there will be policemen in those rallies, too. Pag wala, halatang binayaran. Baka pa nga iyan iyong mga hinakot na sundalo sa probinsiya na hindi magsusuot ng uniform but paid bonuses and overtime fees if they succeed in achieving the purpose of such cheeky exercise—para lang sabihing divided pa rin ang mga pilipino. Gaga rin di ba?

Good idea, but is it workable in our present governemnt set-up? How do we go about doing this? – broadbandido

When EDSA’86 was won, it established a Revolutionary Government, which resulted to the scrapping of the Marcos 1974 Constitution.

We can do that again. Every Revolutionary Government has absolute power to effect the necessary reforms.

Let’s avoid a repeat of the failure of EDSA’01 by installing the vice-president, because not only is DeCastro has questionable mandate like his Glueria, but he is also a puppet of Big Business Interests that will not allow real and meaningful change to come about.

    Dapat mag-ingat po tayo.

I was stating a fact and telling the truth when I said we need patriotic funds for patriotic events. No organization or event could succeed without adequate funds. Iyon pala show of support rally for Gloria Arroyo ang event. May mga students naman na pilit pinapunta doon as part of their subject kuno or else they would be marked absent from class. Question: Why did the PNP allow the pro-GMA groups to rally at Mendiola bridge and always disallow the anti-GMA groups there? Bias.

  37. rose rose

Non violent peacemaking..non violent power…all of us can do this together…a non violent people prayer power..those who can do make a stand and join the rally in Makati..Mendiola at kung saan pa diyan sa Manila..those who are in the provinces join the prayer rally in your churches..we can all be united in our prayers..hand in hand let us all be together..non violent prayer power..

Kgg.

Estupida talaga!

    Cocoy,
I can’t see the connection between my post and your “homily”. I’ve drawn the line exclusively in commenting on the relevance of celebrating EDSA people power and here you are giving some lecture. My advice to you is before you venture into lecturing understand first the substance and meat of what had been laid out. That’s the most proper way that should have done.

You know I’ve been aware of the happenings in the Philippines, not only thru media but with my yearly vacation over there. I know how evil are the Pidals and their minions and I am not against people power, in fact I am even for an uprising just to kickout the Pidals. What I am against are the end results which instead of the country getting better it is becoming worse. Corrupts and thieves are multiplying by leap and bounds and there’s no end in sight. I been awake for a long long time and not only smells the flavor and aroma of my coffee every morning but sip it with utmost pleasure not allowing it to get stale, cold and frozen in this winter cold mornings.

And sorry to tell you that you addressed your “homily” to the wrong audience, you should have waited for Happy Gilmore and delivered it to him. Maybe he will be very thankful for the enlightenment and too happy to hear it.

  44. cocoy cocoy

    florry;
There is nothing personal between you and me,homily is for all of us as i’ve stated on my onset —-Everyone has to start speaking up,because it’s our moral duty.

  45. cocoy cocoy

Also, there is no time to fight on this critical time and we all need to unite to cast away the Evil-Bitch in oblivion.

  48. Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will.

    – Frederick Douglass

    Chi,
Thanks, I have that same impression. Only wanted to check how good is the bible. Or its just some book where to quote things after all to impress.

  50. The Bible is quoted in fact not merely to impress but to inspire, motivate and mobilize especially those who have unwavering faith in the Lord above. It is in fact a manual to set us all right.
