Which group do you belong?

Two weeks ago, I interviewed Jun Lozada at the La Salle Greenhills, his and his family’s home for over a month now since he survived the kidnap try by Gloria Arroyo’s minions at the airport.

I’m sharing with you excerpts of that interview. They make good reflections this Lenten season:

Q: You downplay people’s “hero worship” of you. Are you scared?

A:Of course, I’m scared. It’s a huge responsibility. It’s a cross to bear…. Ayaw kong maging daan or cause for other people to be sinful.

Q: How do you deal with the hero worship?

A:I will never allow it get to my head. I always remind myself, the people who was shouting “Hallelujah” when Jesus entered Jerusalem were the same people who were also. I just wanted to save my soul.

Q: When you go on campus tour, you are welcomed like a hero, while the opposite happens to your good friend, Romy Neri, like when he went to Davao, he was booed..

A: He is very much capable of handling that. Emotions are so fleeting. It can change.

Q: Sen. Ping Lacson asked how to describe Gloria Arroyo and he said, “ hopeless.” When asked to describe Neri he said, “may hope”.

(Note. Lozada nooded in agreement.)

Q: Where is the hope coming from?

A: I know him well enough.

Q: In the case of Deputy Executive Secretary Manny Gaite, was it painful for you seeing him being being raked over the coals?

A: Yes. He seems to be a good man. It pains me to see good people suspend their moral faculties just to cover up the lies of their higher authority. They are no different from the war criminals na kapag ini-imbistigahan mo,…. in moral psychology, it’s called the Lucifer effect.

In moral psychology , it’s already proven that men and women will generally suspend their moral faculties when confronted by higher authority at close proximity. I think that is what is happening to other people. I’m very careful not to be in close proximity to the people there.

Q: How has it been the past 30 days?

A: It’s like a lifetime. Very difficult, lahat na fears mo nandiyan. The difficulty is if you decide to carry the torch of truth, or the light of truth, it will shine upon you first.

The difficulty is masagasaan mo malalaking tao, mga kaibigan mo, madamay sa iyo. Pamilya mo. You put your family in harm’ way. Wala ng makikipagnegosyo sa yo, your future becomes uncertain.

Your conscience bothers you. That’s the most difficult part. During that time, lahat ng consultahin mo, ang sinasabi ako pa dapat magdepensa ng posisyon (ng gobierno).

I’ve been running away from this. You will just get in trouble. As one cabinet member said, “Hindi natin ibibigay ito (the government) ng walang patayan.

Q: Is that the prevailing attitude in government?

A: Hindi lang sa goierno. Pati yung sa religious. One member of the religious, I won’t tell you his name but he is close to a cabinet member, knew the whole story but he never encouraged me to tell the truth.

I can make it stop.

Q: That means he has control over the source of the threat?

A: Siguro.

Q: You never imagined the impact of your testimony on the public?

A: Never. I had a more selfish reason. Maybe, just to save my soul. I never realized that I would get to touch the country’s soul as well. Marami daw naiyak sa akin?

I think I affected people three ways; three reactions to me: One, I inspired a good number of people to embrace the truth as well as to seek the truth.

Two, disbelief. It guess the disbelief is coming from the people who, in their minds, can’t do what I did Parang they can never believe that somebody will act and go through all the trouble without the inducement of money, of power, or influence. Ayaw maniwala. Punong-puno sa pagdududa.

I think the disbelief was coming from their own set of values. Maybe this people, wala na talagang conscience.Hindi na nila maisip. They are completely utilitarian. They say, pakawala ako ni Lacson. These are the people who are falling into Malacanang lies.

The third reaction is coming from those who wish to destroy me. Ito yung mga tao that would like to keep people in the dark. That they would not want the light of truth to shine upon what they are doing, where they are king. That’s where they are good at. Dahil nabubuhay sila sa dilim.

If everyone starts saying we want to seek the truth, then they will know what’s happening in the government. Yari yung mga taong yun.

How do people manifest these reactions? The first group are the ones joining protest rallies and attending truth forums.

The second group are the ones saying, dalhin sa korte yan.Doon kayo magpakita ng ebidensya. To them, testimonial evdidence is not evidence. That’s why I tell them to bring out Abalos’ phone bills.

The third group are the ones doing what (Interior Secretary Ronnie) Puno does- sham hearings, sham investigation. Huwag na natin ipa-alam sa tao.

Now, which group do you belong?

Oh, there’s a fourth group. Yung ayaw maki-alam. We have not met that group because wala nga silang paki-alam.

  2. kitamokitako kitamokitako

Parang tama ka diyan HG, about ‘lozada overdose’. Wala na, hindi na masyadong interesting dahil there is nothing new.

  3. Elvira Elvira

I should belong to the first group! I may not be there physically, but in spirit, I am.

It’s not Jun Lozada’s fault if some people call him a “hero.” He is, in his own way. I am really impressed on Jun’s inner reflections. Certainly, a good “food for thought” for us especially in this season of Lent. Jun Lozada is no Saint, just like any of us. What matters is that he resolved to change his past Evil ways for the better.

  4. Elvira Elvira

    happy g:

CORRUPT na THROUGH and THROUGH ang ipinagtatanggol mo! C*mmon, happy!

  5. d0d0ng d0d0ng

Happy Gilmore – granted that opposition is “palpak” and Lozada as “nagpagamit”, that will not make madam Gloria Macapal Arroyo a saint.

The biggest loser is not the opposition nor Lozada but all the Filipinos who are powerless against a corrupt president and her “tongpats” aka “success fee” family and friends.

There is altruism in the saying, that for “evil to triumph it takes only for the rest to do nothing”.

Cardinal Vidal scorned hero worship accorded to Lozada as it diminishes faith in Catholic Bishops and God. In sordid ways, the plight of Filipino people under a corrupt president is a welcome path for the bishops to ask for their intercessions. Sick religion.

In common, both the Catholic Bishops and the Malacanang are getting their pockets filled no matter how deplorable are the conditions of the Filipinos.

It is more fitting as your “Happy” nick to side with corrupt president and the overzealous Catholic Bishop.

  6. d0d0ng d0d0ng

Kitamokitako – it is true that there is nothing worst than Gloria in corruptions. That would be a welcome news for corruptions to continue. People can do nothing. As you said, “Wala nang bago”.

This is the future that national hero Dr. Jose Rizal (put to death by the Catholic priests) envisioned ages ago, a country plagued by cancer. The Filipinos representing the wound ravaged by cancer is already numb. So numb that Lozada ovedoze simply fizzles as you rightly said. Thanks for being so numbed.

  7. Ang tanong: Which group do you belong?

  8. TurningPoint TurningPoint

Ulitin natin ang tanong: Which group do you belong?

My answer is: I belong to the first group because I attended truth forums and will continue to attend.

    Wala nang marami pang litanya.

Lozada says: “The third reaction is coming from those who wish to destroy me. Ito yung mga tao that would like to keep people in the dark.”. Cardinal Vidal and the 300 priests of Cebu, the bad eggs of the CBCP (Coddlers of Corrupt & Bogus President) and the pro Gloria news organizations all belong to this group. They are like self-righteous Pharisees and Scribes in the Bible. They are all against the truth.

See Pharisees and Scribes in youtube:

The way Lozada explains his episode is how the Mafia, the Cosa Nustra and all the underworld criminals do. Just read a book about those syndicates or “God Father 1 and 2, it is the same modus operandi. Macapagal the father, Marcos operates the same way. The only President that did not do the same was Magsaysay maybe because his rule was so short. The fact that Imelda got away with their crime, I have a sneaking suspicion that Imelda is willing to share her loot with the midget. What happened to Congresswoman Marcos, why all of a sadden she is quite. Watch out for these young PMA graduates. Someone in power will corrupt them. Unless the Filipinos will differentiate between right and wrong, honesty, integrity and fear of the Almighty, it will be a slow process to rectify the situation in Pinas. But then, from what I read about those Cardinals and priests, hope is really slim to none.

Tutoo ang sinabi ni Jun Lozada, the same people na nagsasabi ng Hallelujah kay Kristo nang siya ay pumasok sa Jerusalem were the same people who shouted crucify him. Jun knows this very much. He is careful yet he has to trust those people who provide shelter and protection to him. I hope nobody plays a rule of Judas among those who mill around this reformed man.

Tutoo rin na kapag pinili mong mabuhay sa ilaw ng katotohanan, you will suffer the consequence of your act. We are assured anyway to stand for truth, for truth saves us. “Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known”(Matt. 10:26).

Kamagong… HG partly belong to the third group i’m sure!!!!!

  13. langhab langhab

  14. DinaPinoy DinaPinoy

    there’s a 5th group:

    yung gustong maki-alam.

  15. rose rose

We saw Lozada sa hearing, we followed him in his tours, we saw the trials that he faced and the know he will still face more, but being that he walks in the light hindi man lang siya na dapa sa mga sinasabi niya..tuwid ang lakad at nakangiti pa..the Joy of being with God. Mr. Lozada we pray for you and your families..
kita din natin sa mga sagot niya that indeed he is a good friend..to him may pag asa pa kay Neri..sana naman Neri would see the light through Lozada..that he would realize that there is hope and he can make a difference to make the Philippines a better place and he can be a great help in saving the country from the dark where he (Neri) is in now.. those of us who may not be physically there could still be part of this cruzade for the truth that Lozada leads..let’s be united with them in this as the truth will set us free…

  16. I discourage cut and paste from other publications or blogs. Just link it.

  17. rose rose

corr. and we know he will still face..
Naririnig ng Dios ang mga dasal natin..pati na rin yong mga dasal nila Arroyo & Co…nag retreat pa sila ng mga cabinet members…she also called for the truth and against injustice, etc..She also prayed for the same things we pray for.
This is indeed a good reflection for Lent..Pontius Pilate and Judas now and then..And on the third ..the Resurrection..We too will have our resurrection..Thank you Lord.

ellen, napa-sobra yata ang “pagputol” mo, the link doesn’t work anymore. can you please correct it? thanks.

    Ellen:

i definitely belong to the group that proactively seeks the truth in all fora: streets, offices, churches, courts, etc.

a greater majority however are in the “ayaw makialam/walang pakialam group”.

what we in the “truth group” should do is to continue and intensify the campaign of truth-telling and truth-demanding in all fora. truth in the zte deal, truth in the hello garci, truth in the spratlys sell-out, etc.

another campaign we should mount in the next few days is the truth-demanding from the supreme court and its justices. Majority of them are appointees of the liar. We must be first to get to their conscience before the liar gets to their pockets. i hope were not too late.

ang tinatalakay ng mga kabataan dito ay si jun lozada, partikular ang ‘misa’ sa cebu. ang sabi ng mga taga cebu (based on their local papers), “there wasn’t any priest who categorically said that they were prevented to do so”. it’s been reported ONE priest declined to accomodate a mass for them. and from this, the nun SPECULATED that Vidal might have given orders to prevent the priests from holding a mass for them.

  21. Valdemar Valdemar

and there is a sick group, the kind we find in the arrogant minority in this blog.

  22. parasamasarap parasamasarap

I belong to the first group and i’m mighty proud of it!

  23. parasamasarap parasamasarap

In trying to save his soul, Engr. Lozada saved his life as well. at yung patriotic fund, wala ka nang paki dun! If I can i’d give my 2 months’ salary (which is just about the amount this gagovernment takes away from me in form of taxes) to Engr. Lozada. Jun I know sulit yung pera ko cause he inspires me to hope for a better Philippines.

  24. I miss my homeland and I miss my culture. Cling to whatever faith you got, guys.

  26. happy gilmore happy gilmore

  27. happy gilmore happy gilmore

Ang sabi niya out of place daw. Out of place ba tayo sa kinatatayuan nating pananaw at paniniwala? Sabi nga diyan, “you shall know them by their fruits.”

  29. parasamasarap parasamasarap

hehehe… study your history happy, or better yet use your commonsense: dead men tell no tales.

  30. parasamasarap parasamasarap

Ganito ba yun Happy (maraming hasang)?

  36. I admire Lozada for his courage and the sacrifices that he and his family are being made to go through presently, but I won’t say that I am hero-worshipping him.

Only the corrupt or people who have been through a lot many graft and corruption would even call a boxer for instance a hero and adulate him even when at first he makes boxing merely a profession and a means to have a good life rather than try to make the livelihood of his fellow countrymen better or his country a better place for his countrymen to stay or go back to for those who have left the country even out of desperation.

At least, Lozada is giving up a lot many privileges although it is imperative that his rights are protected, and that is worth the admiration of all, especially the youth of the land who are getting some inspiration from his good examples.

May his tribe increase! I mean, Lozada, not Pacquiao!

  37. Elvira Elvira

Ano kaya ang feeling ng isang tao, who’s work is to contradict the Truth? Tawag sa sarili’y “happy” but he emits the negative! Are you really happy doing the role of a “kontrabida?” Or tama lang ang kasabihang, “Ma’am, trabaho lang ‘to, walang personalan!”

Don’t crucify your feelings, Happy G., face the TRUTH!!!

  38. parasamasarap parasamasarap

off-topic: dinala daw sa hospital si Col. Querubin after complaining of chest pain. Let’s all pray for him.

  39. ipaglaban_mo ipaglaban_mo

Ang galing magpatawa ni HG. Thanks for your consistent scripts HG. You just made my day. 🙂

hmmm… Grizzy. I think we shouldn’t fault Pacquiao for being falsely nice to his perceived “patrons and friends”. Just like many of Gloria’s former friends, Pacman is just being used by the Evil one.

  41. Out of topic but it makes me really angry everytime the idiot and her fellow crooks brag about an unseen improved Philippine Economy just she has kept the Filipino overseas workers at bay, sending them in hordes even to countries where they are not welcome.

I am in fact presently help cheer up a Philippine national who was torched by her common-law-husband, a psycho who has in fact abused her for years but for some reason could not escape from. The sister was telling us wh are helping them that she was advised to go home and take her children by that Japanese psycho and another Japanese with whom she was married and later divorced, byut she refused saying that she and her children had better chances of having a good life in Japan than in the Philippines, where the government does not provide similar welfare that she, a single parent, and her children had enjoyed then and even now.

She is in fact still in the hospital waiting for her wounds to heal before the final plastic surgery is done. She sustained first-degree burns from her head to her knees, and her face and body had to be grafted with new flesh and skin from a skin bank and some parts of her legs that were not burned. So far, she has had 9 operations, all paid for by the Japanese government! The only help provided by the Philippine government is a letter of guaranty to be enable the sister to get a visa and come to Japan.

  42. I should add that the girl first came to Japan as a Japayuki.

Sobra Na, Tama Na, Kilos Na!

  43. PSB,

I have met Pacquiao as a matter of fact having acted as his interpreter in Tokyo when he came here. Sabik sa adulation ang ungas no doubt. I am not impressed, especially when he allows his own vanity to have the better of him, for it is plain and simple vanity that he allows the creeps to use him for their own personal gains.

Kaya mas di hamak naman magaling si Lozada, who has turned out to be different from his friend, Neri, dahil meron siyang konsensiya, and best, takot sa Panginoong Maykapal!

  44. PSM,

You bet, the good die young para na rin isalba sila ng Panginioon sa mga kawalanghiyaan, etc sa mundong ibabaw. But I would not want Col Querubin to die kasi siya ang isa sa nagbibigay ng lakas ng loob sa mga kasama nilang maging matatag para sa katotohanan.

Will pray for him. May God bless and help him!

  45. parasabayan parasabayan

More than ten million of OFWs!

Lozada is amazing! He admitted to his sins, made the disadvantage to an advantage. He could have chosen to be quiet and accepted all the money from the Evil Bitch but he chose to expose the truth. He knew that the DOJ and the OMBUDSMAN, both subservient legal arms of the Pidals, would be after his head but he persisted! He continues to reach as many people as he can to open up their eyes to the on-going corruption! The fruit of his efforts may not be evident but come election time(if there will be one), the people will remember him!

Even if Lozada’s efforts now are not overwhelmingly felt, the Evil Bitch and her mafia gang can not just easily continue their crime spree! They know that we are watching! They know that we are very angry! This is Lozada’s crusade! I am in the first group most definitely!

  46. parasabayan parasabayan

Appy reflects the values of the Evil Bitch!

It is so stupid to think that the opposition wanted Lozada to die! Who knew Lozada before he even reached the airport? His name was not even mentioned in the news! How can Appy say that Lozada is like Ninoy Aquino. Ninoy was in jail fighting Marcos for the longest time! Ninoy was known by every Filipino! Lozada was nobody before the senate hearings. No comparison at all. How can the opposition benefit from killing a nobody then? That is the stupidest analysis I ever heard! But I am not surprised at all because the Evil Bitch and her lapdogs all think the same way-rotten and stupid!

  47. parasabayan parasabayan

Col Querubin already had more than nine lives, I heard! In his military carreer, he almost died more than nine times, malaria was one, vehicular accidents and the worst was when a rocket hit him causing his spleen, intestines, liver etc to be impaired. He had gone through a lot! But God kept him with us. He must still have a big role to play in this earth. Let us pray that he gets well soon.

Let us also pray that these incarcerated men of honor(28) will be provided better cells. Right now I heard that they are put in itty bitty unventilated rooms where the tiny bed is next to the toilet bowl, no windows too! Asspweron put them in the meanest bartolina rooms. While asspweron parties around with the Evil Bitch, the truly best and respected officers of the AFP are left to languish in jail.
What an irony, the real criminals are enjoying themselves and the real defenders of the people are incarcerated! Appy calls this justice!

  48. PSB:

I can assure you that it was not Marcos who ordered the assassination of Ninoy but the same people who orchestrated his removal as a matter of fact. Marcos was intelligent enough to know that to kill Ninoy at the height of his popularity was suicide.

One thing sure was Marcos was in fact no longer in control because he was very sick. When we saw him in Hawaii soon after his arrival in Hawaii, I was surprised to find out that he was in fact almost blind. H should not have ambitioned to stay that long in office. His having been reelected prior to Martial Law should have been enough credit already.

Napaligiran kasi ng mga sakim at ganid din who wanted to stay in power long enough to make themselves millionaires.

Yuck!

  49. parasabayan parasabayan

Grizzy, in my earlier blogs I always wrote that those men who were convicted in Ninoy’s death, two of them already died, were not the real mastermind of Ninoy’s death. Enrile should know who the real villains were!

Compared to the Evil Bitch, Marcos is actually a saint!

  50. parasabayan parasabayan

The downfall of Marcos was due illness which lingered at least for seven years prior to his exile. He was running the government from his bed. I remember that there were no more live pictures of him during the latter years of his presidency. So it was his wife, Imelda and their trusted generals along with Imelda’s relatives who lorded over us! This is why I do not respect this Imelda!

  51. ebvmart ebvmart

Do you think Lozada and his handlers will find the truth when they go around the provinces and schools,My advice if they really want the truth then go to the court prove their case. The problem with Lozada and his handlers Leah Navarro a canadian citezen, they can no longer differentiate what is real and what is not, right from the very start they already decided that GMA is guilty beyond reasonable doubt and whoever defy their verdict is considered enemy of their group no holy cow even Bishops and priest who defy their wishes are as guilty as GMA.

  52. andres andres

    Happy Gilmore,

  53. parasabayan parasabayan

Here’s another “court” guy! Under Evil Bitches’ judiciary system, it all lagay at lagay, promotion to a higher bench kind of justice. I can not blame Lozada for bringing his crusade to the people. It is the most effective way to reach the soul of the nation!

The Evil Bitch is definitely GUILTY BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT! She just happens to hold the “purse” so she pays off everybody and she has the appointing power so she uses this too to silence everybody! She is most definitely guilty! Maliwanag pa yan sa sikat ng araw!

As to the cardinals, bishops and priests, they themselves know who are the Judases!

Irregardless of who Lozada’s handlers are, I only believe in Lozada’s crusade. Bring the truth to the people because if we rely on the provincial leaders, the people may not really know the truth at all. Governors, mayors and even the barangay leaders do not always want to know the truth either. Whoever gives them the money to run for their positions and give them the “pork” for their projects will always be their lord! What they do not realize is, we the tax payers and the providers gave them the money for the government to run the country and it is not the other way around. Right now what we have is an illegal president using our money to run her empire, bribe her lapdogs and the worst sin of all is to sell our patrimonies to get loans to fund unecessary projects only to get a lot of kickbacks from these! NOW THIS IS WORST THAN TREASON! The EVIL BITHCH is guilty of kilometric sins to our country, its people and its resources. Let us see where she ends up when her immunity to suits would end! Unless of course she can get another round of “tongpats” to pay for the victory of her “annointed” next president! Or if she succeeds in the charter change which will make her a Prime Minister the rest of her life and her sons and cronies the members of her parliament forever and ever! I fthe Filipinos would allow this, then we deserve to be SLAVES forever!

  54. You are right, PSB. Imelda is vain. I had the opportunity to watch her closely during our short visit to Hawaii after they were exiled there in 1986. I could only shake my head in disgust for the feigned piety, for everywhere she went, she was accompanied by that gold–plated statue of the infant Jesus (daw) even when Christ died and was resurrected at age 33, the very same image no doubt prohibited by God to be worshipped. That was idolatry per se, I thought.

It reminded me of how Rachel was destroyed when Jacob, her husband, cursed those who would be worshipping idols and bring them on their return to the land God promised to give to Jacob. She hid the idols from her father’s house and tried to take them to the Promised Land.

At least, now God has not been that harsh to punish on the spot those who would violate His Rules regarding the worship of idols and graven images and other form of idolatry until Judgment Day!

  55. sandinista sandinista

M’Ellen, off-topic lang pero I feel the need to tell this short story — remember Fed-Ex? Yes, one of the top 2 logistics service provider in the world (the other being UPS). A top executive of the company intimated to a member of our family what is the real story behind why they chose Shanghai instead of Clark when they left Subic.

Pangatlo, bakit sa kanila daw natin ipapasa ang burden to litigate our officials, investors na nga naman daw sila, kaya dapat we should make sure that we don’t put into power or elect people who have the slightest track record of being corrupt. Last piece of advice niya, unless our political leadership adopts the no non-sense anti-corruption attitude of Singapore, we will continuously fall behind our neighbors. The same executive of FedEx was asked if the first family in Malacanang is redeemable in his opinion — he just gave a smirking smile at umiling…

Which reminds me of an article in a business paper today – Vietnam is poised to be the 4th largest shipbuilder in the world next year, overtaking Germany. PERC last week rated us as the most corrupt country in South and South-East Asia. Can’t you see the writing on the wall?

  56. PERC last week rated us as the most corrupt country in South and South-East Asia. – sandinista

Prove that in court!

  57. sandinista,
You can add Kimberly Clark to that list.

  58. sandinista sandinista

Jug, no need na i-prove ng PERC sa korte ng Pinas, he he. Isa lang naman sila sa credible risk rating agency na gingamit ng mga malalaking companies and investors as a source of their risk impact and probability analysis when performing portfolio investment selection and prioritization.

Ang sabi nga ng isang Belgian associate ko, na matagal na sa South East Asia, what we need in the Philippines is a cultural and political lobotomy.. go figure..

  59. sandinista sandinista

Nakakalungkot talaga… pati pala DHL, same sentiments as that of the FedEx people. Of course pag kaharap ang press, protocol dictates that they have to be polite. But the buzz behind — sa golf course, sa mga cocktails, sa mga intermissions during business meetings or conferences, parang gusto kong maging turtle na pwedeng magtago sa shell ko..

A Singaporean businessman whom I met late last year was bitching about our NAIA 1 terminal — the customs, immigration, etc. For me, sabi ko lang sa sarili ko, what’s new? But what really hit me is when he said that “What happened to your country? In the 60s we use to look at Manila as the center of business conferences and exposition, the hub of trade in the region. Where have you guys gone wrong?” Indeed, I said, where did we go wrong…

The latest appointee in the Supreme Court, Brion, is the fraternity brod of Mike Arroyo. Expect him to be Arroyo’s puppet. She now has the majority in the Supreme Court. That’s why she can do anything. She can throw the Constitution out of the window and the Supreme Court, supposedly the final arbiter of justice, will say it’s legal.

Add the judiciary to another prostituted institution. Just like during Marcos time.

  61. sandinista sandinista

Saganang akin, a revolutionary transition government is what we need to correct the flaws in the system and the institutions. Can we make it non-violent and without the use of arms? I hope so.. but how..

  62. kapatid kapatid

PSB, I agree with you, Lozada should be getting the support of the OFW, I am confident that they are working on that.
Nobody knew when Lozada would be arriving until the last minute, perhaps until the Flight Manifest was sent to NAIA and Immigration when the flight took off from HKG, that is the usual manner. Advance Passenger Information provided to destination city by airlines. As for handlers, Lozada has no handlers, his schedules are arranged by his siter Carmen, and the Speaking Invitations are scrutinized by Sister MJ, to ensure that the invitation is NOT from any Politician. Senator Lacson is an old friend of his brother Artur, reason for the contacts, which was initiated due to Romy’s predicament, when he was having the tendency to resign from his government position as Romy mentioned that GMA has lost her moral ascendancy to govern. Jun asked Artur if he could arrange a meeting with Sen. Lacson to enlighten Romy.
Lozada and his family has given up alot_almost too much, but we are Praying it would all be worth it. The family believes that really.. Soemtimes it is worth risking for this country. Jun wish for change in the government system itself, not just for the present, but also for the future, a long term change for the better, this is the main reason why he is doing the rounds of speaking engagements, especially to the Youths, since they would inherit and run the country soon. He wants to share his experience and bring out the Truth to as many as possible. He does not wish to be involved in Politics, and Neither does the family. Jun has never considered himself a hero, that I can
guarantee to you all. You may se him smiling or laughing when he makes those public appearances, but off camera, the family is somber. Unlike before when the family would get together on weekends, where everybody is so happy and relaxed, not anymore, I could reassure you all.
I am just thankful that Jun is alive and was able to impart what he knows and hopefully the Filipinos would cherish this and would learn from this experience. Never allow the government, anyone in power, to abuse the nation and plunder the national coffers. Obviously I am in Group 1.

Appointees ng ating presidente ang karamihan sa Supreme Court Justices, so what can we expect diba ?

  64. And just today, the convicted murderer who spends Xmas in Makati Med instead of his Bilibid cell, Former Congressman Villarosa, has just been acquitted by the CA. How would the Quintos family whose two sons were killed by their uncle feel with this development?

Looks like Villarosa’s wife’s sucking up to Gloria worked well!

  65. From Efrain Felipe:

I have been following the ZTE-NBN saga and I can’t help myself to see Mr. Neri as the Dutch Boy who stuck his finger on a hole of a dyke to stop the leak of anomalies developing into a flood that may topple the Government he serves.

Now, I think Mr. Neri dances with wolves!

  66. You are right, Tongue: “Looks like Villarosa’s wife’s sucking up to Gloria worked well!”

The message here is : GMA is right, when she says, “stay with me, and you’ll be okay”

But Am here now, ready to join the discussions….
Obviously, I don’t like Arroyo administration! Am always glued infront of the tv as i want to know what is happening back in our country. I’m an OFW, I welcome “parasabayans'” idea. Jun Lozada should start talking to the OFWs’. Tell everything he know about Arroyo government as lots of OFW doesn’t know about what Arroyo government is doing including OFWs money….I will wait to the day that Jun Lozada starts his crusades here abroad…. I will be the 1st one to welcome him at the airport….God bless Jun Lozada & his families….

  71. Sandinista, an in-law is a senior officer of UPS. I’m told the Americans were upbeat about Clark and Subic at first but when they inspected the site, no way would they allow their planes land in such a decrepit runway. The gov’t stalled and just a week before the self-imposed deadline, UPS top honchos began scouting in Southern China for a site to build their APAC hub.

There was panic in Malacañang but no action. Were it not for then DTI Sec Mar Roxas who channeled P300M out of DTI funds to rebuild the runway, the deal would have not been saved. Meanwhile, Gloria was keeping much of the funds in DOTC and DPWH intact except for high-impact projects that would boost her candidacy in 2004.

On the inauguration which I attended), the credit-grabbing crook that is Gloria took all the limelight Mar Roxas was so disgusted he left the ceremonies early.

Today, Clark is the main entry point of smuggled cellphones, and other electronic gagdets. Even drug dealers now course their small shipments with brokerages like UPS. And guess whose point man is sitting at Clarks Customs?

  72. bitchevil bitchevil

Another hot issue and question today is newly appointed SC Justice Brion. Since Neri’s petition would be decided next week, is Brion’s appointment because of that crucial one vote to favor Malacanang? People can’t help but suspect it’s another handy work of Arroyo. Brion, despite his credentials, was strongly endorsed by another Justice, Corona whose wife was among those who signed the pro-GMA ad. One plus one equals two again.

  73. sandinista sandinista

  74. Wow, credit grabber din ha? As always, once a magnanakaw, always a magnanakaw.

Kailangan diyan sipain in before the next SONA. Sana may mirakulong mangyari!

  75. d0d0ng d0d0ng

Another brilliant Filipino, Arturo Brion is appointed to SC. He has the distinction of serving as senior officer the 3 branches of Philippine government, solicitor (legal services) of Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Labor, law class valedictorian and bar exam 1st placer.

He said madam Arroyo never gave him any instructions on his appointment to the tribunal and only congratulated him when she passed by him Monday at the San Miguel church.

“Art, congratulations. You have a new job,” he quoted madam Arroyo as telling him.

A new job indeed, when she will need him most in years ahead of legal battles at Supreme Court. He is the batchmate of Mike Arroyo and Utopian brod of Mikey Arroyo.

  76. dandaw dandaw

Sandinista: Who is the real owner of DHL now. If anyone can trace the real owner, the cargo plane of DHL, Fed-Ex, or UPS was the one who carried the body (baggage) of Garci from Clark to Singapore then to Los Angeles, then to Las Vegas. (Un-manifested Cargoes) Those Cargo carriers are some of the businesses tied to the Swapangs. So many puzzles to solve but eventually it will be solved. As they say if there’s smoke there is fire.

We can always find a connection between and among Filipinos, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be biased against or in favor of the other. Batchmate? Mike and Chiz are classmates before (di ba mag-kumpare pa nga sila?)… are they on the same side of the fence? Ninoy and Marcos. And soooo many other personalities.

My god, they even mentioned being a golf mate as a possible source of conflict of interest (SC Justice Velasco)!!! How ridiculous was that?!

And to Lozada: He who alleges a fact has the burden of
proving it and a mere allegation is not evidence. (Oh, and this was decided loooong before GMA was able to garner majority seats in the SC — as many of you are claiming here.) Don’t just yada-yada, yakiti-yakiti here and there. Provide proof! (The ones similar to the documents that Miriam showed you in one of your Circus performance in the Senate.)

If you cannot provide proof, then what is it that you are doing, if not plain propaganda?

I don’t think Lozada is seeking for the truth..he knows what the truth is and so do Joey de Venecia and Madriaga kaya lang hindi sila paniwalaan..That is why they are asking those of us who believe them to pressure GMA and Co. particularly Neri to come out at tell us what he knows about the deals..Leo San Miguel told his story..and many of us believed that he lied..We are just waiting for Neri to come out and tell us what he knows..pag sinabi niya (since he forgot that he said it) that Gloria is not evil..and reverses all what he had said before then we have to judge for ourselves kung sino ang nagsasabi ng totoo..simple lang why does he not come out what he knows? Obviously he knows something and he cannot tell honestly what he knows that is why we have this problem..Neri is the answer and Neri does not want to tell what he knows..bakit kaya…wala siyang yagba kaya nakapalda siya..at ang ginagamit na palda ay kay Gloria…

lozada’s accusations are all hear-says — won’t even pass the test of truth in a basic philosophy class. if not “daw”, “yata.” again, he who alleges a fact has the burden of proving it and a mere allegation is not evidence. what lozada did is made an accusation, and pointed at neri as the evidence. e what’s the point of making neri talk when the senators and the rest of you people have made your conclusion already? remember san miguel? he talked, and when the senators did not hear what they want, they concluded that he is lying all day long. common guys, just be fair and don’t make subjective standards.

Eks said, “If you cannot provide proof, then what is it that you are doing, if not plain propaganda?”

Eks – this forum is not made up brilliant justices (SC) chosen by madam peddler Gloria Macapal Arroy to go over proofs or without them. In fact, the basic defense of Malacanang has always been that,

    1. There is no proof, we challenge you to bring to the court.
    2. If there is proof, it is not admissible (anti-wire tapping, executive privilege, bank secrecy, commercial secrecy, etc).
    3. Effort to conceal evidences or witness tampering (pork barrel to avoid the impeachment court, multiple government agencies involved in one Lozada person, refuge for Joc-Joc Bolante).

This forum is to discern truth by human experience and with reasonable opinion against massive effort to conceal the truth.

  95. bitchevil bitchevil

eks is just following the line of Malacanang in her argument. “Show us proof. Go to court…” If you see someone’s bloodied and dying with serious wounds, do you still have to look for evidences that the person is dying?

  96. eks eks

nyahaha! let’s ASSUME that your (bitchevil) analogy is correct. may i ask who is dying and bloodied? gma is in control of the military. the cabinet secretaries and lgu officials accross the country are behind her. majority of the congress is with her. hmm… who is dying and bloodied again?

now, unfortunately for you, your analogy/logic is flawed: blood and serious wounds do not translate to a dying diagnosis. you should now better than that.

and DODONG, it would be best for lozada to play his game within the bounds of the legal system, because if he can provide proofs, at least there is a chance for him to redeem his credibility. if this entire circus will be judged based on human experience and reason, i tell you, lozada is on the losing end. again, lozada’s accusations won’t even pass the test of truth or validation in a basic philosophy class. and as far as human experience is concerned, we know that whistle blowers are never after the truth as they say — they are just after the popularity or self-preservation (for the crimes they have committed).

  97. bitchevil bitchevil

Precisely. GMA is dying of lust for power. But it’s not the physical death. The Bible speaks of Second Death which is in the Lake of Fire. No one disputes that your boss is in control of the Military. The current military officials are mostly beneficiaries of the 2004 election cheating led by no less that AFP Cheat of Staff Esperon. I don’t even think GMA is in control of the military. It’s the other way around…the Military controls GMA.

Eks said, “common guys, just be fair and don’t make subjective standards.”

The people did not set the SUBJECTIVE STANDARDS, it is madam peddler Gloria Macapal Arroy who popularized the subjected standards in:

Standard 1. The 33 billion marcos loot recovery put in Agrarian Reform fund disappeared during 2004 elections under the watch of the brilliant economic doctorate president.

Standard 2. Agrarian Sec JocJoc Bolante was given free pass to the US beyond reach on the Agrarian fund accountability and fertilizer scam.

Standard 3. Made Garci tapes (2004 election fraud) inadmissible in court (1st people’s right to court).

Standard 4. Released pork barrels to congressmen the night before the impeachment bill proceeding and effectively suppressed the people’s right (2nd chance) to impeachment court.

Standard 5. Repeated introductions of defective impeachment bills to deny people’ right (repeated chances) to impeachment court after one year rule.

Standard 6. Created Executive Order 464 to suppress information on government collusion with China Natl Machinery in North Rail Project, and all other government projects with China (NBN/ZTE to-date). China here, China there.

Standard 7. Court-martial proceedings to military officers (Brig Gen Gudani and Col Balutan) who defied EO464 on anti-wire tapping investigation effectively suppressing information on military involvement on 2004 electoral fraud.

Standard 8. Creative resignation of Big Buck$ Comelec Chairman Abalos to wash any investigations into China ZTE commission and sealed information on the connection of 2004 election fraud to commissions on various projects with only one country (guess what) – China again.

Standard 9. Invoking executive privilege and commercial secrecy to hide facts on the violations of constitution (exploration/use of national resources by Filipinos) in JMSU contract with China (China again) for exploitation to include undisputed Philippine territory in exchange of billions of soft loans (sellout).

Standard 10. Denial of massive government hands on one person Lozada who is not a VIP by any standards inspite the recorded transcripts of senior government officials from various agencies (NAIA, PNP, PSG, Mayors Office, etc).

Filipinos learn a lot from madam peddler economic doctorate Gloria Macapal Arroy and her subjective standards in such a massive coverups and in such a short time.

So please don’t blame us on subjective standards.

  99. bitchevil bitchevil

Posting those crimes committed by Arroyo does not convince this eks a.k.a. duren to concur. She’s blinded by Arroyo’s sins. One can never see if she pretends to be blind.

Arroyo in her Lenten speech said what’s she’s doing in government is not corruption but improving the economy. She and her Mob Boss husband has repeated claim innocence of all the charges. People would have ignored one or two crimes committed; but to commit crimes as huge as the ZTE scam from day one in office…people will not tolerate. For every scandal, big or small, the name Mike Arroyo always pops up. And he has not even explained satisfactorily one of the many anomalies he got involved in. He refuses to testify in any hearing except friendly forum like Ombudsman where the justices belong to his Mob group. When invited to testify, he often fakes sickness. Yet, he makes it a point to travel abroad every time he’s involved in major crime or there’s a crisis. He claims to be a private citizen and not a public official; yet he uses Malacanang as shield to escape inquiries. He uses government funds for cover ups and press for damage control. Big names identified with him like Ricky Razon stubbornly reject Senate inquiry.

  100. Excellent itemisation, DoDong!

Eks said, “It would be best for lozada to play his game within the bounds of the legal system, because if he can provide proofs, at least there is a chance for him to redeem his credibility.”

Eks – let us follow your basic philosophy class, that Lozada has to redeem his credibility. For what? Lozada has no credibility as far as the government is concerned. It appears the government (like injustice secretary prohibition from public schools and universities, and the multiple agencies covering Lozada) is in the crisis of “self-preservation (borrowing your term) instead of Lozada.

  102. Re: “lozada’s accusations are all hear-says — won’t even pass the test of truth in a basic philosophy class. if not “daw”, “yata.” ”

What does it matter if what he says are all hearsays in the world of court opinion? He heard them while he was directly working with Neri. What he attests to publicly, i.e., what he exposed, that he heard this and that because he was privy to what was going on between Neri and Gloria is enough to nail Gloria in the court of world opinion.

It is not as if this is the first time that Gloria stands accused of a crime in the court of world opinion.

If Gloria were an honourable individual — she would allow Congress to try her and face her accusers squarely. But unless she allows that to happen, she stands forever accused of crimes against decency as well as for treasonous acts that people believe she has committed.

  103. bitchevil bitchevil

So far, Lozada remains the voice of truth and yet Malacanang and her cohorts continue to harass and threaten this one credible witness. Amid the threat on his life and that of his family; the pressure and indifference treatment given to him by the church leaders who are supposed to protect him, Lozada remains to be steadfast in his crusade. What can we do? Even as members of this blog, we should continue to show our support for him and those who seek for justice and truth. Let no one including this eks or happy gilmore stop us from our crusade.

  104. d0d0ng d0d0ng

Exactly Anna, no honorable person with such economic brilliance hiding behind all legal mumbo jumbos feel threatened by just the speech of one Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada Jr.

Eks – for measure of credibility on Jun Lozada vs government & tong pals, please tell me what happened to:

    1. Solicitor General Agnes Devanadera perjury case in court against Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada Jr?

    2. Big Buck$ ComeCOlec Chairman Abalos libel charges for 200 million pesos against Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada Jr?

Please smile when you ponder on the cases.

  105. Anna: He heard them while he was directly working with Neri. What he attests to publicly, i.e., what he exposed, that he heard this and that because he was privy to what was going on between Neri and Gloria is enough to nail Gloria in the court of world opinion.
    ******

Sinabi mo pa. Truth is the police and the prosecutor’s office can act on those revelations of Lozada with the daw and yata assumptions. It is their duties and responsibilities to investigate and verify everything he says with full-proof evidences. Unfortunately, with the police, even the courts having mafia dons manning them likewise, Filipinos may just as well listen to Lozada and be inspired by his newly found courage and dedication for truth and justice to prevail.

The surveys not only show majority hate her but many want to kill her. Her only supporters are the Malacanang dogs and their families, corrupt bishops, some die-hard matrons from Assumption who spent a fake ad publishing those names that were long dead and did not even studied at Assumption.

  118. eks eks

“By the way, eks, before I went to the toilet this morning, I checked this to satisfy my curiosity. Yes, testimonial evidence IS STILL CONSIDERED EVIDENCE.”

Of course it is. No one is claiming it is not. Point is, if you have conflicting testimonials (lozada et al claim this; and a number of people claim otherwise), you have a stalemate. Should the people or court believe lozada simply because he said this and that? You have so many people, private and government alike, disputing lozada’s statements. So, what should be your basis then? Something more concrete. Who should provide that concrete evidence? You must be dreaming if you expect someone else to provide them for you, if ever they exist.

i noticed one thing about you people. instead of debating the topic at hand, you result to hooliganism, and like lozada, you resort to making claims either without evidence, or ABSOLUTELY WRONG. e you don’t even know me and yet, you are claiming i am from malacanang, or “pakawala ni luli”nguso” arroyo.” ASSUMING you are correct (you are wrong by the way), argumentum ad hominem, people. stick to the argument. basic philosophy again.

  119. eks eks

and here is a proposal: lozada has made a number of TV appearances already (pang-famas pa nga ang mga iyak niya e). why don’t you document them, and continue your search for truth on your own. as for lozada on the other hand, he has admitted his graft and corrupt practices already, there are evidence about it also, why don’t you attack it? that is, if you really are after the reform and cleansing of corruption. why would you still need lozada? (well, probably its because you need more black propaganda.)

  120. eks eks

edit to first post: *you resort to hooliganism*

  121. parasabayan parasabayan

Lozada is man enough to admit his sins. The people in Malacanang, they hide the truth from the people. Neri already said that Abalos was bribing him and he told this to the evil bitch but she told him to go ahead and sign the ZTE agreement. Four people already talked about bribery(Neri, Lozada, Joey de Venicia and Madriaga). Ano pa ang prueba na gusto mo? There is no black propaganda here! You probably need an EENT specialist because your faculties are not working. You need your hearing ang eyesight checked on!

  122. eks eks

“Lozada is man enough to admit his sins.”

So, if you admit you are wrong, you can go free? Again, I emphasize, if you are after reform, then, get Lozada et al’s testimonies, and then they should be charged with the graft/corruption that they themselves have admitted. Why shouldn’t thye be prosecuted?

“Four people already talked about bribery(Neri, Lozada, Joey de Venicia and Madriaga).”

Don’t turn this into a numbers game, because you won’t win. Did you witness how many people testified AGAINST what Lozada et al are saying? (And don’t you dare tell me that they are just covering up their tracks — because, then, that would mean you are the one needng an EENT expert.)

  123. dandaw dandaw

eks: Which planet did you come from. You sound so odd. People that would defend corruption are corrupt themselves. Truth like fire will always come out. Prepare yourself eks because there is no more safe place to hide with your kind. Your conscience will always haunt you. No court on earth will defend you and your boss. Hitler, with all his might didn’t amount to a hell of beans. Most of the worlds tyrant dictators did not do well. 75% of the Filipinos do not like what your boss is doing. Your group should learn a lesson.

  124. dandaw dandaw

    correction: Hill of beans…

  125. parasabayan parasabayan

Lozada’s “corruption” is very petty compared to what your patron had so far stolen, is still stealing and will steal in the next two years if she will not be booted out by the angry citizenry!

  126. Mrivera Mrivera

ang galeng naman, eks. NUMBERS GAME? same as present or file any case in court?

  127. Valdemar Valdemar

It depends on which side of the fence you are. Sinners like Chavit had been immunized. Lozada can save his neck if Gloria falls. Repentance can also do the works. Even killers can be sainted like Paul. Or even the OFWs.

  128. klingon klingon

How easy it is to say,”prove it in court,” when one controls the courts. How easy it is to say, “stick to the law” when one controls the legislature and even more, how easy it is to say, “disappear” when you control all persons with the capacity to make that happen.

  129. How true, how true!

  130. bitchevil bitchevil

Klingon, it is very easy for Malacanang to say anything because they are in power; and they are abusing this power to the maximum. Eks argued that Lozada should not be forgiven even if he admitted his sins. What do you want Lozada to do?
Deny and lie like your masters in the Palace? It takes courage to admit mistakes. Look at Gloria and her cohorts…never admit. One time Gloria said “I’m Sorry”, the matter was forgotten so quickly. She’s the only who escaped persecution by mere saying “I’m sorry”; and yet she has never been sincere while Lozada was sincere. Enough of your stupid defense of Malacanang, eks. For the sake of Easter and Resurrection, can you not be with the truth and light this time?

  132. Ah, ok. Lozada has admitted, “Mea culpa”, he sobbed.

But Arroyo has also admitted, “I am shorry”, she slurped.

Stop fooling yourself, eks. You’re the only loser in the end. Mandaluyong is too stinky and old and crowded your future inmates will hate putting up with another one like you.

This way beyond legal already. Let’s throw the questions back to you: If you’re so darn cocksure about it, why don’t you file a case against Lozada yourself? Joey DV a liar, sue him! Madriaga a phony? Go charge him.

Tongue in, anew! Kaya pati hustisya binababoy ninyo, mga hayup kayo.

  134. bitchevil bitchevil

One day, Arroyo might use another alibi that she didn’t say “I’m Sorry” in that Hello Garci scandal but what she meant was “I’m Shorty”.

  135. I am watching at this moment the movie “The Insider” starring Russell Crowe, who portrayed Dr. Jeff Wigand.

This movie reminds me of the kind of ordeal that Lozada is presently going through. Lozada and everyone now helping him may be able to learn something from Wigand’s experience and determination likewise of the journalist who helped expose what he knew.

Lozada must persevere for truth and justice to triumph.

  136. Lozada. BTW, should obtain documents, videos, etc. of the Senate hearings and someday build a website where he can post them for public information like what Dr, Wigand has done. It may turn out to be his best weapon against any injustice this creepy government now plans to do against him.
