Virtual rally vs VAT

In a meeting of Sen. Mar Roxas with bloggers last Friday at the Annabel’s restaurant in Quezon City, a vitual rally was launched.

Check it out: www.virtualrally.net

It looks fun and I tried to join. I registered but I don’t see myself in the rally site.

Carlo Ople, Sen. Roxas’ New Media consultant, said
“the site is still under beta testing and will be at 100% around Friday next week.”

  1. ELLEN:pls tell mar roxas to find his true north soon if he really wants to be acknowledged as an opposition leader.

    Hindi naman gumagana, Ellen.

    Agree with Equalizer.

Some big thing is lacking in Mar. Also, huwag na siyang magpa-Mr.Palengke kasi ay masyadong trying hard to be poor ang dating e alam naman ng lahat that he is an heir to a Roxas-Araneta millions.

Can he find something else to offer us other than palengke?

He should know that. Sorry Mar, devote your time to Korina and make a family. Korina is getting old, baka hindi ka na magka anak sa kanya.

  5. I got a note from Carlo Ople:

The site is still under beta testing. It will be at 100% around Friday next week.

I hope it won’t be a virtual flop.

  7. etcetera etcetera

  8. Sa totoo lang, if I were a Philippine voter, I would not vote for Mars Roxas, Dick Gordon, Villar, et al na subok nang walang ginagawa kundi mag-grandstand para ibenta lang ang pangalan nila.

Sabi nga sa Bible, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”(Matt. In other words, useless!

Heaven forbid!

I think the government should lower vat and taxes on poorer provinces to increase growth. province like sulu, Basilan , samar etc. This should be patterned after the sales tax system in the good US of A. Different states different sales tax. Example, Metro Manila 12 %, Sulu 4 % or lower.

    excellent idea, dizonlea.

only i think, the members of the House of Thieves, are either to dumb to craft such a nuanced position, or maybe just too lazy.

    or both.

    “…too dumb…”, should have read.

minimum requirements i plan to put forward, to those who seek support for their presidential ambitions:

1.) must categorically promise and put into writing that he/she intends to investigate, prosecute, and send to jail as a consequence; all the active principals, and participants of Hello Garci.

and make available to the public, the Mayuga Report.

2.) must be bold to recognize the anomaly of AFP’s basis of existence. as commander-in-chief, he/she must posses intellectual capacity to use and put premium the wisdom of utilizing unconventional weapons: dialogue, and negotiations.

a new order of the day for Generals, must be: put an end to war towards its own people.

3.) and ala Nelson Mandela, my presidential aspirant must recognize that primarily his role should he win, is to focus on getting the citizens trustful of the government.

since there is a direct correlation between a healthy democracy, and a citizens-based booming economy. a meaningful and sustainable economic development can only be realized if democratic institutions are allowed, prodded, and geared to function.

thus, this leader must renounce the excessive absolute powers inherent to a Philippine president, return to people powers inherently vested in them, including booting out any corrupt leader from office.

(in case some of us does NOT know it yet, powers allowed the Presidency—through slimy interpretation of an imperfect 1987 Constitution, and corrupted by the SC (Supreme Cursed), is much, more than the powers granted to any American president or any G-8 national leader.)
