The second impeachment complaint against Gloria Arroyo was filed at 8:15 a.m today after an overnight vigil by concerned citizens at the Batasan building where the House of Representatives is.
The impeachment complaint by mostly religious and civic leaders as well as from the academe led by Nini Quezon-Avanceña, daughter of President Manuel L. Quezon,was endorsed by Rep. Francis Escudero and Rep. Ronaldo Zamora.
No Oliver Lozano or anybody resembling a front for Arroyo has filed a pseudo impeachment complaint as of this writing. The Constitution provides that only one impeachment complaint against an impeachable official can be filed within one year.
The three main charges in the impeachment complaint are:
* GMA exercised dictatorial powers to silence, if not stifle, political dissent arising from her illegitimate presidency. Charges of obstruction of justice, E.O 464, CPR and 1017, Daily Tribune, the Batasan 5 and electoral fraud.
* GMA committed crimes against humanity. She abetted, if not encouraged, the systematic and widespread killings of political dissidents and journalists to silence criticisms lodged against her and to continue her illegitimate hold on power.
* GMA criminally concealed her conjugal assets, engaged in graft and corruption, and entered into illegal government contracts. The Jose Pidal accounts, fertilizer scam, PIATCI bribery, Northrail, jueteng, as well as illegal witholding of the Internal Revenue Allotment(IRA).
I just wish and pray that the Aboitizes will not be there when this impeachment comes a reality to disrupt the proceediings with their incivility the way they did during the Estrada impeachment pretending for truth and justice and not for their own personal gains.

I feel really sorry for Oliver. He is in fact a good friend of my eldest sister, and from what I have heard from my other sisters, as a person, he is (or should I say was?) not as what the media now talk about him. That was why when I read about the comments of friends of mine in the Impeachment Movement about Oliver, I could not help feeling disappointed. Actually, I was shocked and dumbfounded.
The truth was I even sent him an email a lot of times urging him to get involved in this democratic process to pull these crooks from their high horses, and passed to him copies of the Impeachment that Escudero, et al were planning to submit to Congress then thinking that he was against the Bansot, and all that she represented.
My sister who joined the Del Rosario trip to Manila even tried to encourage me to fly to Manila when she was there and join Imee and Oliver in planning out the Impeachment strategy. However, I was too busy with my work that I was not able to go as I wanted to. Besides, I thought it was not necessary because I had my own group helping and supporting the more valid movements in Japan for the Impeachment.
I could not reconcile myself really with the reality that Oliver was after all no longer the kind of person I respected and could trust. Come to think of it, my sister was even talking of Oliver’s group coordinating with Imee at that time, and that they were in fact having a meeting at Imee’s office then. That was why when she turned out to be a no-show at the Impeachment last year, I felt like throwing rotten eggs and tomatoes at her face!
How Oliver must have been corrupted even by the need to survive especially with all those threats even from supposedly men of law, and suffered the kind of fate as that of Alan Paguia, who has been disbarred by crooks who call themselves judges of the Supreme Court! Over here, lawyers cannot be disbarred on the instruction of a crook like Bansot and/or Davide without due process.
It’s sad really that you have to make decisions there even to be corrupt to be able to achieve your goals and what you think will benefit everybody, to survive and live to do them, and try to achieve them even with the help ironically of the very same people you condemn and pledge never to patronize directly or indirectly.
God, kawawa na talaga ang Pilipinas! Kung matino ka naman sa bansang iyan, mamamatay ka naman dahil papatayin ka ng mga salbaheng nagmamagaling na sila lang ang dapat na mamuno! Sorry for the badmouthing, pero talagang TANGNA nitong si Bansot at mga galamay niya! 🙁 TANGNA TALAGA!

I wish and I pray na talagang isa lang impeachment case (only the oppositions’ version) is filed. Did Randy and co. really checked? Baka mamaya mismo si JDV may nafile na pala. Alam nyo naman ang mga kampon ng kadiliman..napaka-deceiving. Pag naaalala ko si Imee last year, nasusuka ako. Tingin ko a mukha niya manipis, makapal pala?? Oliver Lozano will be tried also when gloria, the black magic woman, goes to court. Pasasaan ba’t hindi nila pagbabayaran ang kanilang kataksilan sa bayan.
Ngayon nila ibasura ang impeachment, o di kaya ay babuyin nila ang proseso para maging daan ng isa pa pero pinakahuling people power sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Sapagkat kapag sumiklab na ang galit ng taongbayan, lahat ng mga nangdaya at nambaboy sa atin batas ay pupugutan ng ulo. Idadanak nila ang kanilang dugo sa lupang hinirang. Well, all i can say is goodluck to the 2nd impeachment, What i meant about goodluck is for other TONGressmen not to railroad the 2nd impeachment, what imeant was that soem TONGressmen will not invoke the technicality issue in the 2nd impeachment.
Funny thing, mike defensor said yesterday, that he hope that the Filipno people will unite whenever her president is out of the country. Yes I agree with mike, the people should unite whenever her president is out the country, Filipinos should unite in searching for the truth, Filipinos should unite and show the leprechaun that she can not push the people against the wall, Filipinos should unite in telling some TONGressmen to search for the truth, Filipinos should unite in telling the leprechaun, her clowns and goons that the Filipinos can not be tolerate her anymore.
Why can’t the allies of the leprechaun let the proceedings the senate – they keep on telling the people that the leprechaun never cheated, never abused the contitution, never been involved the malversation of the marcos wealth, etc, etc…… – its the only way the leprechaun can prove her innocence, let justice prevail.
The only other remedy for the political crisis that we are now encountering is, I say again, for all elective and appointive officials to resign and pave the way for snap election. I’m still hoping for a snap election, that is the only peaceful way of getting out of this crisis.

When Imee did not show up supporting the Opposition on the Impeachment last year, I actually felt betrayed. And though I am in fact trying not to be judgmental when it comes to other people in accordance with the Gospel of Christ, I thought I would never trust this daughter of Apo Marcos. In the first place, this is not something personal but a matter of conviction and principle.
This brings me to the impracticality and absurdity of the Philippine procedure of not allowing the more practical way of getting rid of these corrupt officials by less complicated judicial process. Unfortunately, the Philippines presently does not seem to have a police and court that are pro-people, only pro-establishment, for which reason there is no prosecutor’s office that can instruct the police force to make an independent investigation on officials who are committing crimes against the State and the Filipino people.
What is absurd is when the object of possible investigation acts and thinks of herself as the State that any attempt to subject her into legitimate judicial process is even considered an act of treason! Worst is when the people directly or indirectly consent to all these follies!
How can they say that the Opposition’s Impeachment attempt last year failed to oust the Bansot when it was not even allowed to go first base.
There was no Impeachment at all because Joe de Venecia and his cahoots heeded the order of the Malacanang Squatters to trash the one being submitted by the more legitimate group of Escudero, et al, and did not accept their documents, etc.!
They should not say it “failed to oust” the Bansot because there was actually no impeachment properly conducted. Nag-i-ingles pa kasi mukhang hindi naman nila naiintindihan pati na sarili nilang ingles! Por dies por singko.
Dapat talaga they should require a translation of those documents in the vernacular para walang lituhan at kabulastugan na maaaring gawing katwiran ni JdV at mga kasama niyang mga talagang destabilizers para sirain ang competence at validity ng mga ipinaglalaban nina Escudero para sa mga taumbayan!!!
Kami dito sa Japan, handa na naming isulong ang pakikibaka para sa Impeachment na ito alang-alang sa kulang-kulang na 100,000 pilipino na nandito sa bansang ito.
Nanawagan kami sa mga pilipino na bantayang-sarado ang Impeachment procedure na ito kahit saan man sila naroroonan! Kapag ito ay nagtagumpay, magiging leksyon ito sa mga kurakot na katulad nina De Venecia, Nograles, at iba pa.

Let’s wait and see how these “Tongressmen” vote this time. We must pressure our tongressmen to allow the impeachment or we will crush their political ambitions. Padama natin sa mga ito na gusto nating malaman ang katotohanan. Didn’t GMA ask that she be given her day in court? Pakita niyo samin ngayon na wala kayong pinag-tatakpan. How can these tongressmen call themselves representatives of the people when 80% of Filipinos want GMA out? If only we can sue them for “misrepresentation”.
We are advising Filipinos in Japan to write to their Congressmen in the Philippines soonest possible regardless of whether or not they are pork recipients from Malacanang! Kahit alam naming garapal e baka naman mayanig kapag binaha sila ng sulat protesta mula sa kanilang mga constituents.
It’s part of the democratic process, you know.
The House Secretariat has confirmed that the Impeachment Complaint filed today and endorsed by Rep. Escudero and Zamora is the first one filed. This issue is at least cleared.
The House of representatives is full of crooks and thieves. Take the case of Pichay. He is saying that his constituents want to shift to Parliamentary form of government, when inn fact, it is only his personal opinion. The nerve of this guy.
Let’s be vigilant in the coming days and weeks and see how the 2nd impeachment pan out. I hope our OFW’s in Italy will do what Ms. Pangilinan and the PGH group did and heckle Ate Glue.
