Gloria Arroyo rushed to hospital

Breaking news:

Gloria Arroyo was rushed to St. Luke’s hospital at about 5 p.m. due to fever, running nose, body ache, all symptoms of flu. She was advised by her doctor to rest.

Presidential Chief of Staff Mike Defensor said it could be due to her exposure to the rain when she met the returning OFWs from Lebanon.

Last June 22, Arroyo was also rushed to St. Luke’s for diarrhea.

  1. Max Soliven, one of the staunchest supporters and defenders of Gloria says in his “By The Way” column:

“Noting that Typhoon Glenda (alias Kaemi) was drenching the protesters outside, raining on their parade so to speak, La Gloria even whispered to an aide, as a thunder of applause punctuated the conclusion of her speech: “See, God is with us.” The Lord had no immediate comment or rebuttal, so her remark stands unchallenged.”

But Soliven added these words of caution for his protegé:

“GMA must not forget, however, that God moves in mysterious ways – one day, when least expected, He could abandon her. Many crimes and murders are committed by Christian, Muslim, Hebrew and Buddhist alike in the mistaken notion that: “God wills it!””

  2. Ellen,

It’s hard to trust these people anymore after how they tricked the public when she was said to have suffered from stomach pain, and then was up and going two days after when they announced that she was seriously ill.

I also get sick and I know how hard it is to be doing all those fighting fist if the woman is really that sick.

One thing that she actually should not do is pretend to be sick to gain public sympathy for all her vain pretences. She cannot win the public by telling them another pack of lies, and while she lay comfortably on her bed and enjoying her brandy, and other luxuries, a lot many Filipinos are there wondering when the Lord above would grant them manna from heaven.

God forgive her for feigning sickness, which is in fact mocking fate. Baka matuluyan siya!

  3. Tama Yuko! She’s lied once too often that it’s almost difficult to believe that she’s not feigning sickness to, as you say, gain sympathy.

That was my feeling when I said when she said she was married to her country (remember over the Vicky Toh thing?). I said, why should a spouse, in this case the nation, believe that she’s not cheating and lying when she’s been caught several times doing it. It’s almost as if the spouse deserves the humiliation of his cheating and lying wife because he refuses to believe the truth.

  4. Anna,

She has used the name of God in vain a lot of times. Di bale kung para ituro sa tao ang kabutihan, but to use the name of God to ridicule and insult the little people as you have mentioned above, the poor and destitutes that He loves more in fact, is something unforgivable I guess.

I am actually tempted to say, “I pray that God will not allow the cheat to get better,” because she may not even be sick. Even if she is really ill, I will not wish her so.

God knows what is best. If she recovers, then we know that the Filipinos must still need to be chastised more. If not, then God must want the Filipinos to be the true Christians that He would want them to be, wiser to know how to value their rights and privileges under the laws that God has inspired to be drafted and passed.

If this crook is removed, then I pray that Filipinos will now learn to value their votes and choose the right people to be their public servants!!!

“Thy will done!”

Next time baka lalong pangit ang labas!

Schumey: Very well fitting description for her.

  9. npongco npongco

Usually, when someone gets sick, people wishes this person gets well soon. But not this Gloria. Many wish her to remain in the hospital and die ASAP. Her death and departure from this world will free the people’s sufferings.
If you ask me, I wish that she dies slow and painful death. Illness like brain or colon cancer would make me happy.

She doesn’t want to resign. She prevents impeachment. She kills journalists and suspected militants. She keeps lying and stealing. Before she commits more abuses and crimes, the only remaining option to save this country is to see her DIE even in sickness. How I wish I’m part of the hospital staff so I could give her the lethal injection!

  10. Off topic:

I just found out that Leonard de Vera has been suspended for lying about concealing his suspension to practice law in California. Sayang ang taong ito for having gone heywired.

I met him once and had lunch with him at a Japanese restaurant in SFO more than a decade ago. He was still practicing law in SFO then. I was thinking in fact of hiring him as my lawyer in a lawsuit against some INK members who tried to swindle me, but decided against it for some reason. I got a lawyer from our church instead, and I won my case although I need a new lawyer to collect the judgment for me.

Anyway, sayang din ang taong ito. He wasted his chance of making good money in the US and even in the Philippines.

I told my friend in fact about his case in SFO, and I think they went from there to find out about him when he was trying to act like the berdugo out to chop Erap’s neck na akala mo naman ay santo siya.

Nakaka-corrupt.

  11. npongco npongco

Sorry…wrong grammar…the above should read “people wish” (plural). I was just so excited about the good news so I made the mistake.

  12. Schumey:

Talino mo talaga! OK iyan a! Freaking lying usurper!!!

  13. Yuko,

The Bingot reported the Flu tsismis via phone patch. Bakit kaya hindi televised? Where could he be? Ikaw na bahala isipin kung nasaan siya. Hahahaha. We both know where he is, beside the bed kaya or under? Bawal ang media dun, baka lumabas pa ang totoo.

Golly, ako nga nauulanan dahil nagbibisiklete (electric bike) lang ako from my house to my office, hindi ako nagkakasakit ng flu!

    Hmmmm….teka, baka nagpa-abort….hee-hee^hi^hee

  17. npongco npongco

Maybe Mike Defensor heard it wrong from Gloria when she told him she had “bird flu”. What Gloria could have said to Mike was: “Hey, Mike…your bird flew” (pointing to his open zipper). Sorry for being corny.

  18. Taipan88

May dahilan iyan. Rendezvous iyan aside from the needed plastic surgery na hindi na puede doon sa clinic ng plastic surgeon niya dahil ayaw niyang ipaalam na peke pala ang mukha niya. 😛

  19. Chabeli Chabeli

Nakakapagtaka nga no? Are the pressures of suppressing the truth catching up on her? Hmmmmm…she could be physically deteriorating…or maybe she’s up to something and needs to “get away” for 48 hours. Is the end near?

  20. Tom Tom

Hindi ako palapusta, pero I’m giving her until the end of 2006. With that kind of unpopularity, scandals left and right, political enemies ready to eat her for lunch, ano pa ba ang hinihintay?

  21. Point is (1) why is this fiend getting sick only on Thursdays, and stay in the hospital for a night or two, and (2) why St. Luke’s Hospital in QC that is far from Malacanang and not nearby, say Manila Sanitarium, Makati Medical Center, etc. or puede naman sa Malacanang for a simple bout of flu?

Sino bang niloloko nito? May ginagawang kababalaghan, nagkukunyari pa!

  22. gosh. i hope it’s nothing serious. i want her to resign not because she’s sick, but because the presidency doesn’t belong to her and she is morally unfit to govern this country.

  23. Chabeli Chabeli

I think it’s not as simple as another EDSA eh. In PCIJs blog entitled “Waging political battles in multimedia”, it says that “Of late, multimedia has entered the realm of political campaign, equipping forces of contending political persuasions in the country with new tools with which to wage their battles for the public’s hearts and minds.”

I think this is the reason why it is more challenging to “stage” another EDSA. Come to think of it, EDSA 2 was an “ify.” Looking back, it seems that it turned out to be a VIRTUAL PEOPLE POWER–texting power gave many an outlet to release their anger/frustration, which can explain the reason why EDSA 2 didn’t have the multitude of people that EDSA 1 had. Maybe the only way to kick out GMA is “technologically.” Paano kaya?

  24. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

    Yuko & Friends,

  26. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

    Yuko,

    It’s my pleasure.

Gloria jokes naman tayo ngayon… tapos na and Eraption, eh

  27. goldenlion goldenlion

Nobody feels sad when the news came out that gloria/glenda was rushed to the hospital. So what?

HHmmm……look at Vilma Santos, she is more than 50 now, ilan taon lang ang lamang ni bansot, but Vilma looks like in her early 30s.

OA talaga itong si defensor. Who will believe him that gloria caught the flu because of rain. Baliw!!!

  28. alitaptap alitaptap

Front page ngayon ng PDI and hip hop boys ni gloria: boy bunyi, boy garcia, at boy defensor. Kaya pala pinagmamalaki ni bansot na busog siya ng siks 3x a day.

A little off topic with your indulgence:

So, this DOJ Secretary who is expected to uphold the law is the one assisting another official from being arrested. There was a warrant for Elena Bautista’s arrest who is rumored to be the real girl friend of Sen. Mar Roxas. She is helped by the government arrest even with a warrant; but those Gloria’s enemies are easily arrested without warrants. That’s the new Department of Justice today…

    LTFRB chief eludes arrest
    By Rainier Allan Ronda
    The Philippine Star 07/28/2006

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chief Ma. Elena Bautista, with the help of Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez, stayed inside an immigration office at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Centennial Terminal yesterday to avoid sheriffs of a Quezon City court out to serve an arrest warrant for indirect contempt.

The court earlier issued an arrest warrant against Bautista after she failed to comply with an order to transfer the franchise of a bus company.

Judge Afable Cajigal of Quezon City RTC Branch 96 issued the warrant after Bautista ignored a May 3 court order to transfer the franchise.

To avoid detection by the sheriffs, Bautista crossed over through a secret passageway connecting the domestic and international areas of the Centennial Terminal.

She was assisted by Gonzalez after they stepped off from an Air Philippines flight from Iloilo, which landed at around 3:30 p.m.

  30. npongco npongco

    She is helped by the government arrest even with a warrant;

Correction: It should read…She is helped by the government to elude arrest even with a warrant…

I got a hard time logging into this site for a long time and it’s only now…sorry for the above mistake.

  31. Thanks, Ellene, for the sundalo link.

I’m sending it to my mother, whose own brother, a member of the Philippine Constabulary, died in WWII and included in the list of M.I.A (missing in action) but has lamented what has happened to the Philippine military under the reign of this crook.

My mother calls these soldiers licking the Pandak’s ass as “sundalong kanin labas ang tumbong”!

At least, there is this link to lighten up our day, and keep the fire burning that has not died in fact despite the highly paid propaganda even on the ChaCha lately.

Inquirer reports in fact that it is gaining support as shown by some paid surveys, and the Pandak allies in Tongress using it to justify the thrashing of 7 out of 8 impeachment claims!!! Pwe!

I don’t believe in this crap, and so do a lot of my friends although some of them have resorted to some sarcasm that I wish they would stop because it is not helping at all the movement to have this crook removed especially with her style to use even criticisms against her to gain an edge over the Opposition.

I’d rather that they stick to even the name calling and hit the Pandak where she seems to be most vulnerable—her vanity and pride!!! And beware of those pretending to be anti-Pandak but are the proverbial wolves in sheep’s clothings.

Surely, there is wisdom in this quote from the Scriptures:
“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.” (1 Cor. 1: 27-29).

  32. Npongco, that’s a juicy bit that you mentioned about Bautista.

You are right in noting the difference in the implementation of the law when the one involved is close to Malacañang.

    the diversion.

On the topic the leprechaun being rushed to the hospital, dont you think its another award winning acting by the leprechaun upon the advised of whoever they are??? notice how she smile in-front of the cam??? is it a sight of a person who is sick???hypocrite. Fatso with “E”??? Hindi ba both side naman ang buzz-a-bizz??

  39. npongco npongco

Please don’t think I’m a chismoso. Many witnessed this Bautista and Mr. Palengke Mar Roxas were together attending one recent concert at Araneta Coliseum. Korina Sanchez is not and was never his girl friend. This gimmick was for the last campaign and election.

Roxas was so disppointed for not getting the Senate Presidency. That somehow spoils his presidential ambition.
Villar was smarter. Why not? Villar visited Erap weekly. Erap gave in. That’s Erap’s nature…very forgiving. And this character has become a disadvantage ’cause many continue to deceive and use him. I hope Erap wakes up soon before it’s too late.

  40. npongco npongco

Emilio, modesty aside our family belongs to showbiz but more on my mom’s side. I have so many “chismis” about showbiz as much as I have about politics. After all, both are the same anyway. In the first place, Korina is not acceptable to Mar’s family. Mar is a mama’s boy. He tried to project a pro-poor image and was even called “Mr. Palengke” but the fact of tha matter is he never set foot in public market until he became the Department of Trade Secretary under Erap’s administration.

  46. Apparently, the Pandak was supposed to be eating sumptuously again with a black group from the US she and her men were supposed to be entertaining, but she probably overtook her Diet pills again and wham!—back to the St Luke’s Hospital, but then this is just one angle of the story.

The other is she needs the place for some “diversion” with the Bingot, but because it has become already very obvious, there is nothing of the photo-ops showing the Bingot pampering the sugar-Mommy, and no laptop to tap and while away her time unlike last time, also happening on a Thursday and before a “handaan.”

Ang saya-saya ni Bingot, same uniform as the sugar-Mommy, iba nga lang ang kulay!

One thing comforting though about this news, whether it is true or not, is that majority of the Filipinos are praying that she will not be able to return to the palace by the murky river. It was actually what the victims of Wycoco prayed for when he was taken ill.

Poor fellow, but when you think of the victims of their atrocities, you find JUST-TIIS turning into real justice, and prayers of their victims justified.

God forgive us all for thinking ill of even these people who have no qualms calling themselves as “legions,” even those of the Adversary.

Here’s the story of these biblical legions on whom the “Sigaw ng Bayan” patterned themselves (Mangilabot sana sila sa mga sarilin nila!): (Mark 5:4-13)
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Whadyaknow, this is what is happening to the Pandak and her minions now!!!

  47. Ellen:

Pareho namang gumagawa bakit magagalit? Hindi kaya mas ganito ang istorya, “OK lang, you do your thing, and I do mine!” Then, we have a photo-op of the perfect family!

  50. No, Taipan88, she’s probably now trying to get the place of Mary Magdalene after the Vatican declared that Mary Magdalene was no prostitute (circa 1969).

We now know that Mary Magdalene never engaged in fornication much less engaged in prostitution, and the prostitute she was obviously slandered by a former Pope was nameless, but then, even the biblical sinful woman does not deserve to be linked with the wannabe saint from the Philippines!

    Ngeeekkk talaga!!!

  51. npongco npongco

Does anyone know if Gloria has checked out from the hospital? Did Gloria die already? I prefer that you answer the second question please.

  52. Anna,

It is not true that only the good die young. The word is not kinukuha, but “tinatanggal din sa mundo” someone who will prove to be a hindrance to God’s plan for His people.

Wait and see lang ako sa plano ng Panginoon! We’ll see if Filipinos deserve now to be eased out of their hardships and sufferings, and/or the JUST-TIIS prolonged to prepare and strengthen them for the worst, not the kind of weaklings that the Pandak legions are propagating that they are gaining an edge over people like us in this blog!

Meanwhile, we’ll continue to provide the hope and incentive to the brave ones to persevere, which is “genius in disguise.”

  53. unfortunately, npongco, we [all of us here and countless others who do not have access in the net] must pray harder and do what we can so we can connect to the Almighty, para naman mawala na ang dumi sa landas ng Inang Bayan…..

  54. Chabeli Chabeli

Ellen said: “I just got a call from my source: while someone is resting at St. Luke’s from flu, the Fat Guy and “E” were seen at the Country Club in Canlubang…”

If I may add, Luli naman was in a japanese restaurant in Makati with her boyfriend LB (who smuggles things from London into Manila). So much for concern for Mom.

  55. Chabeli,
May sinabi sa St. Luke’s na “NO VISITORS allowed”…
SINO lang kaya ang pede…. at bakit!?

Hindi pa aminin na gusto lang magkaroon ng privacy for various possible tricks like getting addition facelifting, removal of some body fats, rendezvous, etc. etc. You name it, they do it!!!

  57. New gimmick ng mga squatters sa palasyo by the murky river—ang may kasalanan daw ng sakit ni Pandak ay ang mga opposition at bumabatikos sa kaniya! Nagpapaganda lang ang ungas, kunyari may sakit tapos sinisisi sa kalandian (sorry for the profanity but I cannot find the most appropriate word to describe this) niya ang mga galit sa kaniya!

Believe you me! It isn’t a joke. Demonic possession is real. Apparently, Jesus Christ, during His mortal existence, healed a lot of people possessed of the devil, but healing these people need true faith in the Lord, not something feigned.

“And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” (Matt. 4: 24)

I still have to figure out who and what “E” and “LB” are. “E” of course is not Ellen as we all agree. “E” may be the “Enchanted” or “Extraterristial”. As for LB, you missed letter “M”. M is not Macapagal, though. You know what LBM is.

  59. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Is it time to celebrate?? I haven’t heard the latest and I’m wondering if Gloria Arroyo passed away in hospital. Just wondering.

Despite, doctor’s order, she probably reads what the bloggers here are writing, and see if the people she pays big sum of money are doing their duties and responsibilities to do as she bids like propagating fear and hopelessness that she alone has the right to rule the Philippines because of some illusion of greatness, royalty and sainthood!!!

Those who do not adhere to her perversity may just as well be killed and sent to kingdom come, and those she cannot kill be deprived of sharing their sentiments, etc. even in blogs as this by some IT tricks that will cause them not to be able to access and pour out their sentiments to make it look that she is succeeding in convincing the Filipinos to accept her illegitimate reign.

What she does not realize in fact is that God has gifted mankind with free agency that not He, Himself, will dare infringe with, and surely, God will not allow any impostor to deprive anyone of this gift that He has given us, whom He loves that He gave His Only Begotten Son so that we may live and have everlasting life (Jn. 3:16), or the wrath of God be upon him and be damned.

Evil will never triumph over good. There will be an eventual triumph on this earth of God over the devil; a permanent victory of good over evil, of the saints over their persecutors, of the kingdom of God over the kingdoms of men and of Satan. This is the subject on which Amos, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Paul, Peter, and all the prophets have written. They spoke of a day of victory that would come, and that the end would be better (i.e., more glorious) than the beginning. The victory would be achieved through Jesus Christ. This, we have been assured in fact, and even those who do not belong to the Christian faith have this same concept of good winning over evil.

Let the the devil woman and her legions gloat now and be puffed up in their pride, for eventually they will be crushed, and the ambitious Bansot will be remembered in Philippine history as the worst president has ever had, and lined up with the hated ogres like Hitler of Germany.

I think LB is from the family of a former dean of the Ateneo Law who bears the same family name. I thought he (LB) was gay but I guess I was wrong.

Kawawang ungas!

At first glance, I thought I was reading the above title as “Gloria Arroyo died in hospital”. I was wrong. Regarding Gloria’s interview with the media (in hospital bed), I think it was her compadre Max Soliven who interviewed her. Here’s their conversation: Max: How are you mare? GMA: I’m okay. Max: I heard the rumor that you’re pregnant. GMA: Really? I love to hear that! But how could I get pregnant when Mike’s no sleeping with me now? He has a separate bedroom. Max: Hmmm…what about Nani? GMA: Hi, hi, hi…you Max, you’re naughty ha! Max: No kidding, how’s Nani? GMA: He’s in Batangas attending to his Batangas coffee plantation. But don’t mention him na…it’s long ago…it’s over. Max: Okay, okay. But let me ask you, if you are indeed pregnant, who could be the father? GMA: BTW, I just had an abortion. I can’t reveal yet who the father is. Certainly, it’s not Ermita. I’m a very devoted Catholic so let’s keep this a secret. Don’t forget I made you as publisher or Philippine Star. Max: Okay mare, you said it. (ring, ring…phone rings). GMA: “Yes, Palparan. How many did you kill today? Good job.”

Thanks Taipan. But indeed, Gloria and Max are the best of friends. If you sometimes read Max hitting Gloria in his column, it’s just fake…fake opinion about a fake president. Philippine Star doesn’t have that great reputation. But, I like Federico Pascual, Dong Puno…sometimes Jarius Bondoc. Quite a few good ones. But Phil. Star is better than Manila Standard. Just stick to Tribune and Malaya. Inquirer is okay…changed a bit better from the time it was so bias against Erap. Of course don’t forget Abante and Abante Tonight.

  72. Yeah, I know npongco. Some aren’t real journalists; some thrive on envelopmental influences just like some we know.
Actually, I choose columnists, and yes, I like The Tribune plus Abante, albeit via the net only…

Let me ask all of you: Are you worried about GMA?

    GMA: Don’t worry about me
    By Paolo Romero

President Arroyo asked the nation last night not to worry about her health and called on the people to take care of their health as well. The President also vowed to make more changes in her lifestyle to reduce her risk of being hospitalized in the future.

  74. Npongco,

For “E” , please check out my July (Another kind of pilgrimage) and July 14 (Speculations galore) entries.

Everybody already knows that “E” is Elizabeth.

To your question, are you worried about GMA?

My answer is “No”. I’m worried about the country. It will take decades to repair the damage that she has done to our institutions and values.

  75. Thinking and planning ill towards others can be stressful and that can cause damage to the body, most especially the liver.

    Just a thought.

  76. You bet, Ellen, no one is afraid of the Midget, not even the Fatso, I guess, or he won’t flaunt his dirty linens in public!

She knows me, and so does the daughter, but it is not the reason why I don’t go to Manila lately. There is just nothing I really feel worth going there for. Note, I don’t use the word “home” because home is now California, USA even when I am not that enamored with America.

Home is where the heart is. The family is home, and my folks live in America, not the Philippines. Nevertheless, maybe, the Philippines is still home even when it may not be my country anymore, or even when there is nothing that you can be proud of it, not at this time definitely, when a criminally inclined sits there and insist on having everybody call her “President of the Philippines,” and no one is allowed to desecrate her name, not even in this blog or you get hacked as a lot of us have experienced lately. Ang tindi talaga!

I remember those years when I would feel proud of telling people I was from the Philippines even when for example there was still that strong prejudice in the USA against people with a different color of the skin, because Filipinos were once known to be a brave lot with honor, pride and dignity until these pimps mold them to think that they are nothing but some merchandise to be sold overseas like those cheapie Chinese products.

It makes me really angry when by the mention of Filipinos, you are given an image of the “mga katulong at puta ng mundo”! Pathetic, eh? So, everytime the Pandak congratulates herself for a job well done for doing just that, I cannot help but feel like throwing something at her, even some vomit that she deserves to be splattered with.

Still, being the kind of Christian that I am, I cannot wish this woman to die unless it is the Will of God that she does, and I think of the why God has to put off easing the sufferings and miseries of people there with her demise. I think in fact of the many conversions in our church for instance and people finding God in their miseries.

You bet, Ellen, I do still cry over the Philippines. It is more like crying over some spilled milk spoiled by a crook who has done the worst crime against the Filipino people. For that, she does not deserve any compassion as a matter of fact. The question remains, though, “Quo vadis, Philippines?”

  77. Nobody worries about the Midget, I guess, not even those who have been licking her smelly ass, for they have in fact perfected the art of “balimbingan.”

In fact, when Marcos was removed from the palace by the murky river, and I saw the same people who had surrounded him at the beginning and even near end of his reign surrounding Cory, I cried, “Oh, no!”

All of us in the movement to stop human trafficking and the deployment of Japayuki to Japan were actually disappointed when Cory inked an agreement with Japan to allow 40,000 pseudo entertainers to work as bar and club hostesses. In addition, Cory’s government had issued passports to wannabe criminals to enter Japan illegally and work here.

By 1989, the Japanese government was telling the Philippine government to cooperate in regulating the influx of the illegal migrant workers from the Philippines, who were falling prey to illegal recruiters and NGOs with less popular causes to be exploited. Instead of stopping the flow of these illegal migrant workers from the Philippines, Filipino officials would even have the nerve to beg officials here to use them for the 3K (kitanai, kitsui and kiken or dirty, difficult and dangerous) jobs that Japanese themselves would no longer want to do.

The only one who responded to phase the Japayuki out in fact was Erap, who must have been told that he would not get the 80M dollar aid from Japan if he did stop sending Japayukis to Japan, and reason why among those who marched with the Pandak were recruiters and Japayukis! Now, with the passage of the newly revised Immigration Law, these Japayukis are banned and her emissary, Joe de Venecia, must have used the Japayuki as reason for the need now for Japan to grant the 80M dollar promised Erap to the Pandak to aid her now in fighting “terrorism” in the Philippines (ang layo ng sinabi as a matter of fact)! Ang galing magsinungaling!

You bet, Ellen, nakakakulo ng dugo! So, when I feel like puking and feeling pain in my batok, I stop and rest, and yes, say a little prayer for the Philippines! :’-(

Kunyari magkakasakit ng Thursday, tapos lalabas ng Saturday, tapos Sunday kung saan maglalamyerda at the expense of the Filipino and foreign taxpayers.

  79. Ellen, All:

Pwe! Kahit anong sabihin niya pangit siya! 😛

    ellen,
is that what she’s suffering from? does it have anything to do with why she has to stay in a hospital? i was wondering why the doctors and equipment cant go to her. isnt it more difficult to secure a hospital especially a big one like st luke’s than for her to stay in malacanang for diarrhea and/or the flu?

  81. Masha, bali-balita. You know how coffee shop talk goes. Sometimes true, sometimes false. let’s just keep our eyes and ears open.

I may be residing in the Land of my Tatay, but I feel very Pinoy, hence my interest in everything about my beloved Pilipinas.

  83. >>npongco Says:
Let me ask all of you: Are you worried about GMA?

    My answer: Not a bit!

  84. Taipan,

The Philippines actually did not nurture me. Nothing much to be grateful for on that. I’ve lived overseas longer than I’ve lived there, but nevertheless, I consider it still the land of my birth. I don’t deny it.

I also have not forgotten to speak the languages of one or two of my Filipino ancestors!!!

I taught it actually at Tokyo Gaigo Dai for some years, and felt that I should not allow my Japanese students to outdo me!

  85. I forgot to mention the kapalpakan of the Pandak supposedly rejecting wellwishers flowers, etc. and asking that they be contributed to her Presidential fund something! Kunyari pa raw! But then, ano iyan parang funeral announcement that says, “No flowers please. Please giver contribution to the Pidal Fund!”

Is she announcing that she may soon fake her death likewise, and Romulo giving her and her family new passports with fake identities after the necessary visas are obtained for them and they ask for refugee status ala-Bolate?

Thought it would of interest to read the Editorial (30 July 2006) in the Daily Tribune regarding GMAs health, where Ms. Cacho-Olivares says:

“…she’s fine and she is raring to go back to work, but the doctors have ordered a strict change of lifestyle, workstyle and foodstyle, such as working from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for public engagements and no longer keeping late nights. No more fatty and oily foods, no spicy foods — follow a strict regimented diet to keep healthy and hale.

Excuse me, I’m no doctor, but a change of lifestyle and foodstyle after a bout of simple influenza is what doctors generally prescribe? Never heard of such prescription from doctors after catching the simple flu or a bad cold. Bed rest yes, for a brief period. Change of diet, yes, but only while recuperating.

What that doctors’ prescription sounds to me has nothing to do with the flu. Hmmm. Could it be the liver? Ah, but that’s one spin that won’t be touched.”

Ellen,
I chanced upon some sort of medical bulletin dated 29 March 2003, entitled: “ST. LUKES HAS NEW LIVER CANCER TECHNOLOGY” I read the name of Dr. Juliet Gopez-Cervantes, who heads the St. Luke’s Center for Liver Diseases. She also is “the only liver transplant specialist with formal training in the country today…”

Wasn’t she the “Attending Physician” of GMA? So probably GMA didn’t have the flu after all…God, indeed, works in mysterious ways.

  97. Chabeli Chabeli

In the issue of the Philippine Star today (Sunday) the article, “GMA vows she’ll get more rest,” Dra. Julet Gopez-Cervantes dispells speculations regarding GMAs health:

    >

  98. Chabeli Chabeli

News circulated and questions were raised about why (the President’s) attending physician were gastroenterologists and liver specialists despite the news that said she had the flu,” Cervantes said in a mix of Filipino and English. “The rumors hinted that, because the specialists caring for her specialize in the stomach and liver, we may be looking at something else, that’s why I’m her doctor.”

“That is not the case. I started as an internist and it does not mean that if you are a doctor that you deal only with problems related to your specialty,” she added. “Being an internist, we handle the case. Even if I was there, we asked the pulmonologist to help us because of the sub-specialty orientation of (SLMC).”

She also dispelled rumors that the President was hospitalized for a liver problem: “I want to clear up speculations that, just because I am (the President’s) main attendee, she has liver or colon problems. She has no such problems. None.”

  99. See, I told you, wala siyang sakit! :-*

Luigi Bernas? Any relation to Fr. Bernas, the Jesuit Priest?

Yes, Gloria might have just taken a few days off for cosmetic surgery. Nowadays, a woman can even regain her virginity by means of surgery. I would like to think Gloria did not do this but something else.

A President is under guard and public attention every hour every minute. Even if she goes abroad to have a cosmetic or plastic surgery, foreign based media would find out. So, it’s possible that she faked her flu and underwent some beaty changes. Maybe we can find this out from our sources at St. Luke’s.

  101. schumey Says:

I can laugh at that, though, knowing full well that she cannot! But how do Filipinos get rid of this nincompoop, and all those who kowtow to her wiles and whims?

Search me, Ellen, for all I can do is pray. And God is my witness that He will, soon I hope, at least, before she can kill all the good people out there in that land of our birth!

Ingat! Your country and people need you!!! ;-D

My malicious mode is at it again…could it be Gloria has become a pervert that she can’t enjoy “S” in her Malacanang bedroom so she prefers hospital bed for a change? I’d like to let your imagination do the thinking and find out what I mean.

  108. Ellen:

I got hacked after I posted the above note. It took me longer to post to your blog this time than I am able to re-access during the past days, especially when the Pandak was in the hospital.

I had to make sure the email from the sundalo group was not likewise viral. Mahirap na! So, I have put their addy for filtering just in case.

All my spywares, virus busters, etc. are duly activated, and I have likewise enabled the filtering I have been provided for the monitoring of such mails for the study on the implementation of the new Internet Law of Japan.

    Basta tuloy ang laban!

  109. E-mail from Ros Dara:
