Brad Pitt sleeps here

Brad Pitt, and presumably Angelina Jolie, sleep in this bed made in Cebu by multi-awarded Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue.

Entitled “Voyage”, the bed is featured in the July 24, 2006 issue of Time Magazine.

Conbonpue,37, (click here for his website: www.kennethcobonpue.com) is a multi-awarded artist. He works wonders with rattan.

In his website, he said,”I think Cebu and the surrounding islands somehow inspires much of my designs today.

“As a young boy, I was always taken by the exuberant richness and nature that was around me. Years later, I realized that I can access all those memories to move my ideas forward.”

Time Magazine reported that architecture- enthusiast Brad Pitt recently purchased Conbonpue’s Voyage bed.

Warner Brothers also asked Conbonpue to furnish a casino set for the forthcoming Ocean’s Thirteen, which Brad Pitt co-stars with George Clooney, Matt Damon, Eliott Gould, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia.

Is the above caption true? Or is it another advertising ploy? Guess what inspired Vicky Toh to buy a huge bed…it’s not King size…it’s called Giant size. Guess what inspired Gloria Arroyo to buy a midget bed filled with Batangas coffee aroma.

I checked out kenneth cobonpue’s web site and it’s very classy. Cobonpue sounds French.

I like rattan furniture but they are expensive. We are in a way lucky here in the Philippines that we grow rattan and there are some affordable furniture made of rattan like the traditional rocking chair.

We’re lucky we grow rattan and export it. But we’re unlucky we have rotten leaders and government that export Super Maids. Rattan vs Rotten…take your pick.

Kenneth Cobunpue is of Chinese descent, not sure how many percent…his mom had the furniture business started longtime ago and Kenneth came in after…

  5. Thanks Soleil.

My niece asked, it is Maddox, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 5-year old adopted Cambodian son in the picture?

I doubt it. The picture is from Time Magazine.

Correct you are, soleil. Cobunpue comes from the name Co Bun Pue. Their original Chinese last name is CO. It’s similar to Cojuangco. They got the same last name CO.
