“Nobody can undo President Arroyo’s victory anymore.” (Walang makapagbaligtad ng panalo ni Pangulong Arroyo).

Aling panalo?

As usual, all this Eldane could say was to dare his accusers to sue him in court. We’ve heard this reply so many times. The crooks and criminals in this Arroyo government have learned the way to answer accusation and charges. Prove it in court! Sue me! Then when trials come, they would invoke rights to privacy assisted by well paid lawyers. When this Gloria is finally ousted, I want to see these Arroyo Generals executed similar to those Generals who worked under the Shah of Iran after Shah’s ouster. This would give future Generals to behave.

Off topic but relevant: Who says America’s support for GMA is not tied to the US troops in Mindanao?

    US reaffirms support for RP
By Jose Katigbak Star Washington Bureau
    The Philippine Star 08/19/2006

WASHINGTON — US assistance for the peace process in Mindanao will remain a priority and its commitment to provide assistance to the Philippines as a friend and ally will be sustained over the long term, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Eric John said.

John gave this assurance to new Philippine ambassador to the United States Willy Gaa when the envoy called on him at the State Department on Wednesday, the Philippine embassy said in a statement.

Expected reaction and response of Ebdane to Rasalan and Colcol – Kung may ebidensiya kayo, pumunta kayo sa korte. Just take a look at the actions of the judge hearing the libel case filed by the fat guy against Lito Banayo. And recently the judge that issued the warrant of arrest against Jinggoy on orders from Malacanang. You can feel the pressures being exerted on these judges, that even if they are aware within their professional training that what they are going to do is illegal they have to do it, and never mind even if they will become the butt of jokes, ridicules and insults, just do it, to please the eyes of the powers that be. They can’t say no for fear that they will incur the ires of these evil and merciless couple, and they also know what they are capable of doing against those who go against their will, and so to avoid any problem, just play it safe.
Back to Ebdane. Isa siya sa mga general na mentioned sa garci tapes, but by then we didn’t know the extent of his participation on the cheating.

In ANY war, the battle for the HEARTS AND MINDS is crucial. For what good is being a winner in a conflict when majority think otherwise? We don’t have to look too far–look at the Iraq war. The U.S. has the might, but to majority of the people around the world, the U.S. is a bully. How about the latest conflict in Lebanon? Israel has the might, but to many around the world, Israel and the U.S. are viewed as bullies, too. In the case of the Philippines, admittedly, SO FAR, the opposition has lost their battles, but the war is not over yet; its far from that. SO FAR, the opposition has been successsful in inflicting holes in the ship of Gloria and the Gorillas. In the battle for the HEARTS AND MINDS, it seems to me that the opposition is winning. Until the Gorillas will stop this nonsense of not wanting to show up in the Senate, have IDIOTIC lines like what Ebdane has used: daring his accussers to take him to court and prove their allegations. Until Gloria and the Gorillas get their act together, the CLOUD OF DOUBT is upon them…For the NTH time, Gloria and the Gorillas want unity? No way. Not while those opposing Gloria and the Gorillas have the upper hand. It’s still the battle for the HEARTS AND MINDS.

nelbar, Mindanao is rich in natural resources and oil. Mindanao is a very good military strategic place for America. It can be used as America’s first line of defense in the Pacific or military launching area for future attacks on enemies like North Korea and China. Yes, the Indonesia factor does play here. But all in all, the US needs to station their bases again in RP which they may already be doing. All these are possible because of friendly RP government and leadership. And if you’re a fake leader like Gloria saying yes to America’s wishes, then of course the US will support your stay in Malacanang. Gloria plays her card very well.

I read in one of article of the Daily Tribune that one of the GORILLAS, Press Secretary Bunye, “stressed “Filipinos are sick and tired of the political soap opera for a very simple reason — they want Congress to focus on policy, not politics. We have a budget to pass, anti terror legislation that is languishing and a host of pressing national issues on education, environment and the economy that they should be spending their time on,” the Palace official added.”

It’s more like: FILIPINOS ARE SICK AND TIRED OF GLORIA’S DIRTY POLITICAL DRAMA FOR A VERY SIMPLE REASON–THEY WANT GLORIA OOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

my point is the meddling of US in our internal affairs in the guise of war on terror and the eventual staging of military operation in southern philippines.

    And here’s my big question:

What if the US(Democrats or Republican) is able to convince the military backed Indonesian political elite to accomodate a new US military bases in South East Asia???

It is vital for the American interest of the role of Indonesia in the Islamic community especially its foothold in South East Asian political economy.
Capturing the market of Indonesian population is a big factor in US geopolitical affair in East Asia.
And Australia is already doing its assignment.

Nelbar, there’s no doubt the US operatives are roaming around not only in Mindanao but the entire Philippines. They have been doing that since the days of Magsaysay. Even the late President Magsaysay was rumored to be taking orders from the CIA. His mysterious plane crash is still a big question today.

Look around and see how many Americans in the Philippines. Some come in as Peace Corp volunteers, missionaries, humanitarian and medical mission staff and even the ones inside the US Embassy. They cooperate and work with our local CIA spies. Many CIA informers are in the RP government including our lawmakers. That’s why we hear of critics calling Dick Gordon, Magsaysay and other pro-West politicians as Amboys. Do you know that these CIA agents even marry Filipinas to better penetrate our intelligence community?

Intelligence works and covert operations are dirty and bloody. If you hear of someone being killed without a trace or the case has never been solved, it’s most likely a CIA hit. It’s similar to Mafia hit.

The US-CIA is so powerful that it has agents right inside our PNP and AFP. If the US wants to get rid of GMA today, it would only be just a snap of a finger.

  16. npongco npongco

Gloria woos critics, cites Bro. Mike’s will to push reconciliation:

Confident of the defeat of the second impeachment complaint, President Arroyo has renewed her intention to extend the hands of reconciliation to the political opposition and other critics.

The Chief Executive, during the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the El Shaddai and the 67th birthday of its founding spiritual leader, Bro. Mariano “Mike” Velarde, at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, told the charismatic group’s followers that she had sought the advice of Velarde and that is to leave the door open for reconciliation with her political enemies.

    *******************************************************
I urge the El Shaddai members to stop giving money and leave the cultic group of Bro. Mike. This another Mike is no different from the other bigger Mike (Arroyo). The only difference is that one is a preacher and the other is the husband of the fake president. But both are corrupt and evil. Velarde was a former gambling addict and lousy salesman who made big using bible to deceive people. Notice his pair of eyeglass covered with gold. Notice the suit he wears. Notice the material things he possess and the number of bodyguards who accompany him.

    Dangerous Scenario
    ALI BULAC

Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah ended after the United Nations resolution for cease-fire, whether the decision qualifies for a “cease-fire is another matter.” Israel probably will not withdraw from the Lebanese territory it is occupying until U.N. Resolution 1559 is fully implemented.

Planes can only land in this so-called independent and sovereign state (Lebanon) after getting clearance from Israel. Nearly 1,000 Lebanese are being held in Israeli prisons. Israel calls them “inmates.” The term “inmate” refers to a person serving a sentence after being tried and proven guilty in a court of law. Hamas Cabinet ministers and MPs are also “inmates” in Israeli jails, yet no one is asking Israel to give an account of its actions.

The situation in Lebanon remains unstable and precarious. It is still not clear whether the so-called cease-fire can be implemented. Even if this truce holds for a while, the United States and Israel will eventually attack Syria and Iran unless there is a change of heart on their part. It almost appears to be a common knowledge that the U.S. knew Israel’s plans to attack Lebanon month in advance. The abduction of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah forced Israel to move early, maybe two months earlier than planned. Israel suffered an unprecedented defeat. Israel expected to finish Hezbollah in a few days. Israel won the 1967 war in six days, and the offensive launched on July 12 was expected to end on July 15 or July 20 at the latest. However, it lasted several weeks, and the U.S. was saying repeatedly that no one should expect “an early cease-fire.” Israel was allowed more time to accomplish its mission. As it became clear that Israeli forces were facing a real resistance, they agreed to the so-called cease-fire.

The outcome leads to two possibilities:

    1) Following their defeat in Lebanon, Israel and the U.S. have abandoned plans to attack Syria and Iran. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad referring to this point, said, “The Greater Middle East Project” has been put on the shelf. We also wish this project is abandoned for good.

    2) Israel and the U.S. have not completely given up plans to attack Syria and Iran, but they only stopped for a “short” break and will resume the project in the upcoming months, September or October, or even on August 22, as modern-day prognosticator Bernard Lewis claimed.

If Syria and Iran are attacked, sooner or later, we should take into account the Hezbollah factor. This war failed to dislodge Hezbollah, though it only used 20 percent of its rockets. And its small weapons still are under ground. It achieved great psychological superiority, and gained the sympathy of the entire Arab and Islamic worlds. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood officially announced it wants to send 10,000 mujahedeens to fight under the command of Hezbollah. Young men in Asia, from Indonesia to Bangladesh, want to fight in Lebanon.

One point is clearly understood: If Syria and Iran are attacked, Hezbollah will definitely hit Israel. Turkey, which is contemplating to send troops to a proposed peacekeeping force aimed at “enforcing the so-called peace,” should consider the following questions: God forbid, what will Turkish troops do if Syria and Iran are attacked and Hezbollah hits Israel? Will they fight Hezbollah? Israel wants the peacekeeping force to dislodge Hezbollah by using the U.N. as a pawn. To that end, a 15,000-strong Lebanese force is expected to take over control of southern Lebanon, disarm Hezbollah and cut off its supply lines. Furthermore, if Turkey is involved in the fighting against Hezbollah, in case Israel is attacked, it will inevitably have accepted fighting against Syria and Iran. Hence, Turkey will be in a most undesirable situation. No wonder the US is all for Turkish troops; otherwise, why should Turkey be included in such a plan drawn up by this or that country? This is only a “scenario,” but highly likely one. Turkey should refrain from taking inappropriate stance in this ever-spreading wildfire. No one has the right to get Turkey between its neighbors and world powers, not even the world powers themselves.

You hit the nail right on its head tony_arce. All these exercises are like making a daily jog around the circle, with no finishing line in sight. The peddlers of an old story embellished with new plot are the conspirators and principal actors themselves of the very evil they now abhor alleging a sudden change of heart, to make it appear similar to the dramatic change happening to St. Paul on the road to Damascus. Neat way to sanitize it.

Not long ago, we heard Zuce telling a related story, very much credible in all its account. That controversial news grab the headlines for days, even weeks and the country lends its undivided attention to it. All along, we thought that was the key (susi – which sound very much like the whistleblower’s surname)to the continuing saga of massive election fraud we all know happened but we cannot substantiate in the absence of competent evidence to back it up because most people who have personal knowledge of it have thick wads of money plastered over their mouths rendering them speechless, pure cowards or the most unfortunate have been issued their passport to the great divide, there to remain silent forever. That is the hazard of playing with the devil.

So where is Zuce now? Everybody knows he changed camp once more in a place where he find greener pasture.

Since childhood we are always enthralled and entertained with fairy tales. And now that we’re old, we are still spellbound hearing tall tales. When are we going to grow?

These sordid affairs are all about bidding…. and the highest bidder always get the golden pot.

Roman, isa ding peke. Ang dramatic last year sa impeachment.
