Gen. Danny Lim:bogus president.

SnB is nothing but a club of LIARS; they are a group of people who belong to the LEGIONS OF GLORIA. How can one who associates himself/herself with GLORIA even believe for a moment that they have honor, integrity and credibility with her? On the contrary, they are CHEATERS, LIARS and THIEVES. Indeed they are many!

I missed the advertisement by Singaw Ng Bayan. This is what I meant about the truth and the role of the Media irregardles of either in Cebu or Manila. It’s not too much to ask to let us have the truths. People is thirsty for the truths. Very frustrating when you don’tknow who to believe anymore. Certainly, Singaw ng Bayan is without credibility. And we know how they manipulated the fake signatures. It reminded us of the dagdag/bawas of 2004 election returned. It’s some kind of untreatable decease. As we all know, some of the media are being used to promote lies of Gloria in order to further her agenda. Cha-cha and Con-Ass are nothing but to deceive the people and smoke screen to hide their crimes. Surely, it’s not the system at fault when the illegitimate Gloria’s regime are incompetent and negligent, not to mention corrupt.

This is not an attack to some of the media, certainly not. I’m just bringing it to open that some of them are not doing their job of investigating the real truth of the matter. Or some of them they know that they’re being used, yet they do it anyway to serves someone deceitful agendas. Some will publish anything without a thorough investigation to the fact of the subject. Sensationalism, is it?

Kanya-kanyang faction, kanya-kanyang grupo. This is true among those who are into this kind of government. Japan isn’t an exception. The father of the now elected PM, Shinzo Abe was a victim of group railroading his ascendancy to be PM during his term. And Shinzo Abe’s election made true his father’s death wish. Same is true in Britain, or anywhere else in the world.

Raul Lambino at Gov.

Idineklara ng ULAP ang ganitong paninindigan sa isang “open letter to the Filipino people”.

Yes I agree with you all, Its not that I am totally against cha-cha, my point here is we should have a commission or convention instead of constituent assembly or popularly known as con-ASS. I for one do not like the members of the house of representaTHIEVES to become members of con-ASS. I do not trust them. Why not have a commission or convention who will study the system change??? Why not include in next year’s election the choice between a commission or convention or if people want a system change, from thereon, why not these commissioners of conventionalists study the system change from 2007 until 2009, so that in 2010 people can elect the members of the Philippine parliament.

I for one will not support these representaTHIEVES to sit as members of con-ASS, for they will only change the system to their advantage, or worst for them to be as member of the parliament as long as they want.

change of the present system would be accepted by the people only after this administration. with them still running the government will yield no positive support. as it was noted, since the very first day of gloria’s re-assumption of her bogus office, her tune is about charter change which was very much different from her inaugural address the other day.

Why fix it when ain’t broke?

It’s a known fact that Presidential democracy as in the United States of America is the most progressive form of govt. Of course, others could make the argument. But, as I see things most of the people would like to go and live in the USA if given a choice. Absolutely, there is no such thing as perfect govt, USA has its shortcoming like any first world country. Nevertheless, it beg the question, why the USA is more advanced country than the rest? One that come to mind first is the people, and their form of government. Their forefathers laid the foundation for them and through the years since the country was founded, the people from generation to generation made sure that their democracy function as it’s intended designed and made changes, amendments to strengthen in areas of the republic that needed fortification. And the USA has not stop making improvement as we speak.

It’s the same that can be said to Parliamentary of England and other democratic form of government. It’s the determination of the people coupled with the institution what make a succesful govt. It’s not the institution itself, yet it’s the people’s behavior and attitude of the citizenry, the perseverance of the people what make a better government.

I submit, Cha-Cha and Con-Ass are not the answer to the problem, but certainly a definite set back to progrss that already been made, if ever adapted. It’s not the institution, but the people of how badly enough to make it work. And presidential government is not a failure, since it’s already been proven as a success story. All we need are some improvement here and there to what we already have.

We can make an argument about Japan to why the country has progressed and became a first world country. Not because is the type of the govt but the people determination to make it better for everybody as a whole. I believe, it doesn’t matter to the type of govt, Japan will still be ahead of the Phililippines and many other countries. It’s the people of Japan what make a better Japan.

So, it’s not the Presidential govt is at fault here but the people. Specifically, at present, Gloria’s inability to bring about political stability and prosperity to the country.

    Amen!

KICK ConASS!

Wow! The great pretender fake President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was denied entry to New York. It’s good for her and the company of thieves. Kaya pala nakasimangot si Pandak noon dumating mula sa Hawaii at madaling araw pa. Good timing. Wala pang arrival speech. Napahiya siya sa New York. I LOVE NEW YORK!

Excerpts from Philippine Anticorruption Movement U.S.A. website
    http://www.pamusa.net/

She was denied to come to New York and attend the 61st U.N. General Assembly meeting which was the main purpose of her recent trip. The best proof was her flying from London to Cuba instead of New York where world leaders were gathering for the U.N. General Assembly.

Reliable information reached us Arroyo’s was allowed to go to Honolulu last Saturday because she’s invited by Gov. Linda Lingle before December 2005 when UNCAC came into force. It can be expected that would be her last entry to the U.S. unless she’s pardoned from various corruption charges. One is her involvement in corruption while yet trade undersecretary and executive director of the Garments and Textile Export Board. The U.S. which was the biggest source of garment quotas under the defunct Multifiber Agreement allegedly found out Arroyo was involved in black-marketing quotas for which commanded premiums of $10 per dozen and up. Her involvement is highlighted by the purchase of a $5-million commercial building in San Francisco from sources that couldn’t be legally explained.

U.S. and European quotas for each garment category went up to hundreds of thousands of dozens annually. One can imagine the amount involved in trading quotas when Hong Kong exporters reportedly relied on GTEB for their shortage which was strictly prohibited under the Multifiber Agreement and a violation of the U.S. Anticorruption Act of 1977.

Arroyo’s culpability doesn’t include corruption when she was Senator, then Vice President when her son, Mickey cornered the multibillion-peso contracts in clearing lahar and dike construction for the Mt. Pinatubo Rehabilitation Program. As President the reported bank deposit in Germany with cash balance exceeding $100 million should be no surprise at all. It’s an open secret since the time of Marcos that the President earns commission from petroleum imports of Petron Corporation. In Arroyo’s case if she got only 1% of the amount of Petron’s imports during almost 6 years of her presidency she would’ve amassed over $100 million from that account alone.

At the outset it was so PRESUMPTUOUS of the Sigaw Ng Bayan to say that they are the Voice of the People. They did not even get the 12 per cent needed and now they are caught purveying a lie when they said that there will be no more coup under a Parliamentary form of government.

There IS ONLY one way of knowing the true “SIGAW NG BAYAN” and that is a true and honest voting. MLQ in his column in PDI yesterday suggests that ERAP run for Senator in 2007 inspite of being in detention. Good idea!

Parliament to clip SC powers, PI group admits

    By Benjamin B. Pulta

    09/27/2006

It may not be a walk in the park by the proponents of Charter change (Cha-cha) through a people’s initiative (PI) after all, as some existing powers of the Supreme Court may be clipped through a Cha-cha, as admitted by the pro-Cha-cha lawyers in court yesterday.

Oral arguments on the suits brought by parties seeking to amend the Constitution pushed through yesterday before the Supreme Court (SC) amid the magistrates’ questions on the government-backed effort to change the system of government from presidential to parliamentary.

During the course of the arguments, senior Associate Justice Leonardo Quisumbing coaxed the main advocate Sigaw ng Bayan movement president Raul Lambino into admitting that some parties were eager to insert provisions in the amendments which would allow Congress to clip the certiorari powers of the judiciary.

Quisumbing had sought a comment on the supposed plan by “would-be members of parliament” who want the authority to pass the rules of court.

Under the present Charter, the power over the pleading , procedure and practice of law is reserved by the Constitution for the SC.

The certiorari power enables the high court in particular to take up cases where there are questions on the interpretation of laws and where there is “grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction” on the part of the government agencies involved.

The blanket authority had been criticized by the court’s detractors as an overpowering power on the part of the judiciary.

The deposed leader, whose position as an intervenor was upheld by the high court, but whose petition to the Sandiganbayan for him to appear before the high court was rejected, issued a statement.

He said that “given the Court’s uneven performance since 2001, when I was unconstitutionally removed from the presidency through a judicially-assisted coup, it is not easy for me or for many people to say with full confidence that its members will be able to ignore the pressures from Malacañang to rule in favor of the initiative.”

He, however expressed the hope that, “despite past mistakes, the Court will finally find the courage to reject what is patently wrong and unacceptable, affirm what is right and just, and give to our people that which is their due,” in reference to his opposition to Charter change through the people’s initiative.

“This mode of proposing amendments to the Constitution cannot be hijacked by the President, whether legitimate or illegitimate, or by any group of local officials acting in the President’s or their own political and personal interests.

“Mrs. Arroyo’s open and uninhibited effort to push the proposed constitutional changes, coupled with the equally open and uninhibited involvement of local government officials, completely and automatically invalidates the claim that the present petition involves a “people’s initiative.”

Appearing for the main proponents of the Charter change agenda was retired Associate Justice Bernardo Pardo representing the Sigaw ng Bayan and who initially said the amendment only sought to amend two articles in the Constitution—that which refers to the executive and legislative departments, stressing that the article on the judiciary would be left untouched.

Pardo, who was the first appointee of former President Estrada to the high Tribunal was with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) when the original ruling on a similar controversy was decided by the SC in 1997.

Sigaw ng Bayan’s Lambino on examination by Qusimbing initially claimed that since under the parliamentary system of government there would only be two departments of government, “powers of the government may be considered divided 50-50” between parliament and the judiciary.

He later conceded that plans are afoot among some parties to have the “certoriari powers” of the judiciary removed.

Two incumbent magistrates, Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban and senior Associate Justice Reynato S. Puno voted at the time to allow the amendment of the Constitution being sought by the People’s Initiative for Reforms,Modernization and Action (PIRMA).

The government was represented yesterday by Solicitor General Eduardo Nachura who said the state officially “symphatizes” with the position of the Charter change proponents.

Nachura disclosed that when he was a lawmaker in the lower house he initiated two bills to come up with an enabling law to implement the ‘people’s initiative’ option to amend the Constitution.

Nevertheless, upon inquiry by Senior Associate Justice Angelina Gutierrez, Nachura said the Solgen’s presence in the case was in compliance with the high tribunal’s order for them to comment on the case.

In a particularly heated exchange, Gutierrez castigated the Solgen for representing the cause of the Cha-cha initiative without himself examining the signatures and determining if the same were legitimate.

“Will you entrust the fate of our people to these people whom we do not know or who may not understand what the amendment is for?” Gutierrez pointed out.

Earlier during the proceedings another magistrate, Reynato S. Puno questioned the procedure undertaken by the Cha-cha initiators using ‘printed forms throughout the Philippines in places where the local dialect is not English.”

Defending the procedure Pardo claimed that English is the official language and said local government units assisted in the dissemination of the process which ran from February to August.

From the oppositors side are Sen. Joker Arroyo and Pacifico Agabin representing the Senate, Neri Colmenares representing the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan, Rene Saguisag whose group , MABINI was a party opposing the original Cha-cha initiative, Jose Anselmo Cadiz representing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP),and Dean Rufus Rodriguez representing Estrada.

Cha-cha proponents said the SC should heed the voice of the more than 6.3 million verified registered voters who are exercising their “sovereign right” to directly participate in amending the Constitution through the people’s initiative.

Lambino of Sigaw ng Bayan and Gov. Erico Aumentado, president of Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines, through counsels Pardo and Nachura made this appeal for the justices to reexamine its ruling in Santiago v. Comelec where it declared as incomplete and insufficient the Republic Act 6735, otherwise known as the Referendum and Initiative Act, to cover the system of initiative to amend the constitution.

As the Office of the Solicitor General took the position that the RA 6735 is complete, sufficient and adequate to cover a system of initiative to amend the constitution, Nachura said that more than 6.3 million registered voters decided to exercise their right to directly amend the constitution through this mode.

Pardo asserted that the petition for initiative submitted to the Comelec has complied with the provision of RA 6735.

It is however known that the required 3 percent in every district to make up the required 12 percent has not been met.

Pardo argued that that there was grave abuse of discretion of the Comelec as demonstrated by its blind reliance upon the Santiago ruling, adding that “the ruling should be reviewed as a judicial precedent because, among other reasons, unlike the present petition for initiative, the Santiago ruling tackled a petition over which the Comelec had yet no jurisdiction. The Santiago ruling does not bar the Comelec from taking cognizance of the instant petition for initiative,” he stressed.

Two hours into the proceeding, the power went off prompting the court to declare an outright recess.

Lambino’s group is asking the SC to annul and set aside the Comelec’s Aug. 31 resolution and order the poll body to act on the petition, order its publication and set the date for the plebiscite as mandated by the Constitution.

The two claim they are proper parties, and that their suit complies with the Constitution and sufficient in form and substance.

Meanwhile, militant solons accused Malacañang of trying to influence the decision of the High Court.

Mrs. Arroyo’s supporters said that they have “high hopes on the wisdom of the Supreme Court justices” at the start of the deliberations on the issue of the People’s Initiative petition even as they said that the rule of law would prevail in favor of the petition.

But according to Rep. Liza Maza of the partylist Gabriela said that Malacañang should “get off the Supreme Court’s back and refrain from influencing the court so that it could do its job independently.”

Revision or Amendment of the Constitution? The question does matter. But not to GMA. For her, it is only a question of staying in power because she believes in herself and is only thinking of how to survive and be regarded by history as the BEST President the Philippines ever had. She has hurdled a lot of things that others before her did not. She is proud of that and is smug about that.

Her allies regard everything that is happening as a political exercise of a majority protecting itself and doing everything legal and otherwise to stay in power. They justify all the things that they have done and are doing by saying THIS IS POLITICS.

The military has found out that it has power even without seizing political power and they are smug about that. Their leaders are rich and will do everything to stay rich and in power.

The opposition on the other hand are staying within the law and would not or could not or do not have the courage to skirt it. They fantastically believed what the majority have said that “DURA LEX SED LEX” inspite of it being obvious that this government is operating outside of the law or the rule of law. How naive!

Meanwhile the people are exasperated and are saying “To hell with all of you, we will just go on living the best way we can and not mind you.”

And up in Heaven God is looking on but I don’t have the power nor intelligence to know what He is thinking and what He will do. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

I’m pro cha-cha. i am hoping that glory will stay in power as long as she live. what are the senate doing in congress? take the million peso pork barrel for their own good? fly abroad and relax while filipino people are starving, no jobs.. we need a change. we do not need so much leaders in our country.

when joseph estrada was the president, he corrupt almost every-thing, he took millions of dollar in PCSO and keep it for his family, it is supposed to be for poor Filipino’s, he even want to make the other public hospital to be private, knowing the fact that not a lot of filipino can afford to go to private hospital, what are the senate is doing in our country now? i do not see any good thing they did for our country but shame. well what? give 1 can of sardines and 1 kilo of rice and 2 pack of noodles? is that enough for a hungry filipino? senate and other politician are afraid of cha-cha, because they will loose their pork barrel once this is approved for filipino people. the people in the senate are alligator. they will eat anything they can.

i respect you judgement about cha-cha. i think all of us is entitled to give our opinion about this matter. we are all filipino, I’m wishing for unity. I’m sure all of us “filipino civillian” want the best for our country.

If erap will be back in congress, our country will be full of thieves. it sad to be in a country with full of thieves and no identity.

  32. shrimpy2 shrimpy2

i hope and pray to god that erap will stay in jail and dont ever come back to senate or congress or whatever. i wish he’ll choose to go to iraq and have a peaceful life he wanted.

when erap was the president, the value of peso goes down, from 25php=1$ to 70php=1$
he sleep while he is working, ive seen it a lot on tv. well the only good thing he did for filipino is giving a happy meal for poor. the question is who’s money he is using for the happy meal? its from the pocket of the filipino people he is giving a happy meal to, smart eh, because he gets free happy meal every-time he do that ha ha.
