  1. SANA, LORD…..
    TULUY-TULOY NA!

    TULOY ANG LABAN, MGA KABABAYAN!
    PAALISIN ANG MACAPAL!
    ISAMA ANG PIDAL!

  2. From my favorite song of PArokya ni Edgar, “Gising na, buksan ang iyong mga mata, gising na.” This is really uplifting. Whatever happens, we can see now that there is still a great hope for us Pilipinos.

There should be a revamp of the Justce Department. Time to remove all these crooks. Pahiya sila!

I like this one from ToungeInANew,
    October 20th, 2006 at 7:49 am
Another one, this time from Erap,

“The true issue that our people confront today is not the ghost employees of Makati, but the ghost of the 2004 elections which represent the illegitimate presidency of Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. That is the true cry of the people – ang tunay na sigaw ng bayan! The real ghost employee is in Malacanang and not in Makati!

And not only Gloria in the Ghost Employee of malacañang but all her cabinets and appointees. And a HUGE SUM OF PEOPLE’S MONEY THESE GHOST EMPLOYEES ARE GETTING!!!

  5. luzviminda luzviminda

AND THE GHOST EMPLOYEE IN MALACAñANG MUST BE REMOVED!!!!!! EVEN BE FORCE!!!! LET US MARCH TO MALACAñANG AND BODILY REMOVED THE GHOST EMPLOYEE GLORIA MAKAPAL ARROYO!!!!

  6. “Oust the Elites,” sabi ng masa.

Elites? I doubt. Ang dating sa akin ni Apog, bakya, far from the real elites I met in England when I was a student there and lived with a family that belonged to the elite class of England.

Dito din sa Japan, in a way, I consider myself fortunate that I have married into a family that belonged to the Samurai class that follows some code of ethics that will make a lot many self-proclaimed elites (kuno) in the Philippines look barbaric!!! Believe you me!

And to think that we know where their wealth is coming from now! Dinadaan lang sa yabang!!! 😡

  7. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Dejavu! This is no fiesta, nor a photo-op, but a serious matter. The future of the Philippines is hanging on the balance with bogus Gloria’s arrogance to hang on. Lets not be cocky! Keep in mind what are at stake here, and be focus. It’s only the will and determination of the people, against the arsenals of illegitimate Gloria, and innocent kids as shown on the picture can easily get hurt. Very young kids has no place in the rally, as to my opinion.

  8. Chabeli Chabeli

You are right, Toney Cuevas, to say that we much “not be cocky!” We must keep focused on ejecting Gloria.

  9. Ang katwiran ng mga mahirap na wala namang pag-iiwanan ng mga anak nila e kung mamamatay sila sama-sama na sila, and this is the reason for tagging along the kids.

On the other hand, it is again to cater to the basic goodness of those policemen who may try to abuse for the promised bonuses if they are able to make the rallies rowdy and reason for the Bansot to finally declare a state of emergency.

Over here in Tokyo, I have seen children in strollers with parents who join demonstrations against the government on some policies that affect everyone’s daily life, buy then, over here, the police are there more to protect the rights and freedom of expressions of demonstrators, and to stop provocateurs from ruining a peaceful demonstration. In short, more civilized because the police is not under the control of the Prime Minister nor the Emperor, who in fact does not meddle in politics. The military, too, are not called to keep peace and order domestically. The soldiers are not even supposed to fire their guns according to the present Constitution of Japan.

This is not to brag about the more progressive system here. Just giving an example.

  10. Glad to see the Akbayan people there. I actually served as foreign observer for the Akbayan during the election in 2004. At least, nanalo sila sa Congress. To these young kids, pagbutihin ninyo. Kayo ang pag-asa ng bayan!

Come to think of it. The earlier the kids are exposed to this kind of exercise, the better!!! Baka magkaroon na ng tunay na pag-asa ang Pilipinas sans the Apog, the Fatso, and their minions!

  11. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

    ystakei:

All I can offer is, accident do happen! Most specially in unpredictable crowded people, and/or with mobs of people. When everyone start running every each way, the innocent kids are always the victims, since they can’t protect thmeselves, can’t get out of the way or so naive of things around them. Just my little observation of the pictures provided. Kinda reminded me of an organized parade on the street during fiesta ng bayan.

  12. Toney,

In fact, ginawa namin iyan sa Tokyo. The youngest was about 3 years old.

I was in fact worried that the children would not be able to bear the long march in Winter, but they carried on through the finish. Lahat mestisong Japanese-Filipino gaya ng Tita Yuko nila! Laking Pilipinas ang ilan sa kanila.

I suggest that we look at these pictures positively and with appreciation.

  14. Exactly my point, Chi.

I can understand Toney’s apprehension but I doubt if the organizers will not be cautious about it. I know a lot of these organizers, and they are definitely sensible people, nothing of the kind being pictured by the barbarians at the palace by the murky river!

Siyanga pala Ellen, thanks very much for the pixes. Glad to see my 2 former bosses look healthy and palaban.

  16. On the other hand, Chi, maaaring mag-ingat ang mga pulis at militar na manakit kapag nakita ang mga bata, demonyo man iyong nakaupo.

I don’t doubt what evil the Bansot is capable of doing. There is no doubt that she will not mind telling the police to harm these little kids as well if needs be However, I still believe in the goodness of a lot many of the police (huwag lang galing sa AFP) because they are themselves parents.

Elites? I doubt. Ang dating sa akin ni Apog, bakya, far from the real elites I met in England when I was a student there and lived with a family that belonged to the elite class of England.
    >>>
I agree with ystakei … the kleptocrats should not be confused with the elites. Those making banners should distinguish their real foes from friends. “elites” should not be used and instead be replaced with “corrupt, grafters, kleptos, ghost pretenders” .

  18. You bet, Alitaptap. The elites I met at Oxford were distinguished from the working class and speak a different English with a different accent and diction. None were involved at least in scandals.

Buti pa nga ang sidewalk vendor, at least, trying hard to earn the honest way, di tulad nilang mag-asawa lahat ng pondo ng bayan kinukurakot! Bakit hindi iyan binabatikos based on the original reparations treaty with Japan.

Elite? NO! Magnanakaw? Yes!

  19. Chabeli Chabeli

I, too, agree with Ystakei and Alitaptap that it is the KLEPTOCRATS who should be OUSTED! As I commented in one of Ms. Ellen’s posts, “…what was amazing on the 21st floor (Municipio in Makati) was the number of “representatives” of big Makati businessmen expressing their support to Mayor Binay. Amazing! I guess it wasn’t appropriate for these persons to show their faces just yet. But their were a lot of donations (in kind, I mean) coming into the office! And I thought majority of the so-called elite was the base of Gloria. Guess not.”

This is only my humble opinion, but I think a lot in the elite were HAD by Gloria in EDSA 2, and probably felt they had to “redeem” themselves by supporting the Makati Mayor. Many of the elite who live in Makati cannot deny the help that Mayor Binay has extended to the less fortunate citizens of Makati. I’d like to think that the elite who were in Mayor Binay’s office were not only there giving moral support to the Makati Mayor himself, but also his consituents, by standing side by side with them. Here is a Mayor who can prove that his programs for the poor work. What does Gloria have to show?

  20. vic vic

Usually in a rally that has a potential of turning violent, either by the action of provocateurs or the unpredictable nature of a political rally, the children are always the victims. That’s why whenever, we have a rally here, we have to secure a permit and the authorities will give us the venue where to hold the rally and may specify that children may not be allowed. It is just the children are still considered by law to be innocents, that is why they are not criminally liable for their actions, unless they are declared an adult upon application by the crown or prosecutors. To me whatever we do, war or ready to die for our cause, let us leave the children out of it. And this is true to our enemies too. To do so, we’ll make a coward in us all..

Right now, may kinakausap na kaming mga abogado. We need moral support from all concerned Filipinos. We invite every concerned Filipino whose name they would like to be included in the names of the Plaintiff VS the Apog, the buyer, et al on the premise that the buyer should have a full knowledge of the nature of the properties that have been declared patrimonies that no one, not even the President of the Philippines (much less a bogus one) can sell them without the consent of all Filipinos!!! Alam iyan ni Senator Enrile because he was the one who filed the petition to the SC before.

We will post the petition online shortly for your signatures. Kailangang halangan ang pagbebenta ng ambassador’s residence sa Kudan dahil hindi naman daw kasama sa Reperations Treaty even when in fact the money paid for it came from the reparations payments!

  22. The standing tradition of sales in Japan of properties is that the middleman gets no lower than 6 percent gratuity, but they can go higher to up to 15%. The properties of the Philippines are located in posh areas in Japan and lands there do not depreciate contrary to what these fake sellers in the Philippine government contend. This should be investigated by concerned members of the Philippine Congress and Senate.

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  23. Now regarding the lack of concern for human lives of the Apog, I can understand the apprehension of Toney Cuevas and Chi, but at least, this rally is better than the risk the Filipinos are being made to take with the acceptance of toxic wastes from Japan by this inhumane administration.

I just read an article on this in Malaya regarding the toxic wastes agreed to be accepted in the Philippines in accordance with the JPEPA agreement the Apog signed with fellow braggart, Junichiro Koizumi.

I posted the Malaya article in my groups as a matter of fact, and I made this comment:

I was actually approached by a group with Yakuza connection regarding some industrial waste considered poisonous and not allowed to be disposed in Japan to help negotiate for the waste to be disposed instead in the Philippines.

I declined even if I have been promised big money no lesser than 10,000,000 yen. My husband has advised me to decline because he knows the side effect of this toxic waste on humans and even the environment, and he definitely does not want me to deal with this group, and get involved in this scam.

The latest I have heard of is that a mayor in Mindanao is brokering now the transport of the toxic waste there, to be exact to Davao.

The tons of toxic wastes (chromium) are considered harmful to the health and have caused environmental disease in the area where they have been originally kept. This should be stopped by all means.

The anti-JPEPA group should be informed of this transaction that even the Japanese would not want to keep in Japan.

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  24. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

No, wala kaming balak pumatay, hindi kami ganoon kasama!

  27. TIA:
Yaikks!
Bilib na ako…basta ha, hwag kalimutan….
Gawin as soon as you see the master ghost employee and her family pass by o just making pasyal by the Baywalk. Be sure hindi na makarating sa Pasay.

    ELITE?
Kelan naging elite itong si glue? Hindi ba’t “poor boy” from Lubao ang ‘tatay’ nya?
Baka noveau riche…and the source is Questionable, donchathink?

  28. Re: ELITE’s role in the Philippine political scene.
I know for a fact, that those called `elites’ have expressed disgust over the abuse of power by marcos. Hence, what one saw along EDSA in `86 were the elites bringing their vans and families as they feed ALL: both rich and poor> LAHAT! They don’t announce what they are doing: no photo-ops….just plain doing what they feel is right to oust a dictator. They said it was “Sobra Na!”

I my not be in Makati when that stand-off was happening, but I can just imagine how those who trooped to Binay’s office expressed their sentiments against the ghost employee in Malacanang. They must be having a feeling of dejavu of what happened some 20 years ago.

  29. vendictimus vendictimus

    alitaptap, ystakei;

i agree! dapat rectang ilagay sa placard “corrupt, grafters, kleptos, ghost pretenders” mandorobo, garapal, xinzingpin, bandan, mafee mukh!!!! mga animal, hayop! . . . . . KAWATAN!!!. . . . . .

  31. Toney’s concern for the kids is justified. One never knows what’s going to happen with the kind of policemen that we have.

Yuko is also right that walang maiwanan sa bahay. And if they get free food, kasama na ang mga bata. That’s how bad the situation is here in the Philippines.

I’m sure there are many other who want to join the rally but faced with the same problem the woman who brought along her son, they opted not to join.

I just got one photo of the child in the rally but there were a number of them there with their parents.

The crowd was mostly urban poor with some students. Very few middle class.

BTW, there was a separate rally in Mendiola by Bayan also yesterday.

But I know Binay, et al are being cautious and won’t let these crooks to catch them off guard. Ako nga hindi umaasa sa TRO na iyan especially knowing that the judge of the court can be threatened himself by the people manning the Philippine Department of In-Justice/Just-Tiis when he shows sympathy to Binay.

So much injustice, etc. How can Filipinos stomach these crooks who are supposed to serve the people not the way around? 😡

  33. kitamokitako kitamokitako

  34. florry florry

Wow! Very heart-warming to see these people out there. Looking at those pictures, remind me of my last years vacation where I was one among those marching in Ayala Avenue with people I never saw and met before in my life. That was July 8 if I’m not mistaken when the Glue appeared on TV and confessed to the nation with her now infamous “I’m sorry, it’s a lapse of judgement”. I was engulfed with a sudden feeling of homesickness and great desire to be with that group marching all over again. If ever a history is in the making, I would like very much to be a part of it, even though how small and insignificant my contribution to the cause, it would be a memory that I always treasure in my heart during the remainder of my life. How I wished!

  35. Mrivera Mrivera

Susmalosep!

  37. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

To Florry: In line with your wishful thoughts of being a part of history, no matter how small your contribution could be, I’ve got that same feeling too! In my younger days,(am not really a senior yet!),
I have never participated in any rallies or demonstrations of any kind even if I wanted to. First, I was confined in the four walls of the convent; and later worked with organizations where demos or rallies or whatever were strictly prohibted. In short, it was more of “do your work as best you could and all the rest will be taken cared of!” thing. Looking at the pictures posted here, couldn’t helped but think, “ano kaya ang feeling ko , kung isa ako sa kanila? God, How I wished, I was there with them…Now that am completely aware of what is going on in the country, siguro it would be fulfilling because I always think I’ve never done anything worthwhile for my beloved country in my own little way.
But, as one often says, it is never too late! Say n’yo?

  38. Mrivera,

Ipagbibili ang kaluluwa for money.

Diba feeling ni Gloria elite sya because she married Mike Arroyo who is a Tuazon? Kaso lang he belongs to the less-moneyed Tuazon, kaya feeling lang sila!

  40. Chabeli Chabeli

Elvira Sahara, I know how you feel. I, too, was “confined” for a long time and didn’t realize the extent of what dirty politics was in the Philippines. By fate, I was exposed to Philippine politics, I couldn’t handle everything at one punch, and so I had to move out of the country because it was too overwhelming. But, yes, like you, I may be one, but I can do my share, no matter how small. For now, I just arrived in Manila and will be here for a short while, and I must say, I have so much to learn! Philippine politics to me is ONLY a window to see how one can help the less fortunate; one does not have to be in plitics to help and be aware. I still stand by the belief that getting into Philippine politics is for the desperate.

  41. You bet, Chabeli. We all have the same beginning. I, for one, was not an activist even when asked to help Filipinos in distress in Japan as when I sheltered a Filipino domestic helper who was maltreated by her employer, an ambassador of Egypt way back in 1976. My first real taste of street demonstration in fact was when I led the movement to save Philippine patrimonies in Japan in 1989-92 under Cory Aquino. I thought I may as well try the so-called “people’s power” thing and see what I could do for a change.

Fortunately, I am in a more progressive society where the police know how to abide by the rules of law and the Constitution that grants freedom of expression and assembly. Filipinos here in fact are having a thrill of their lives joining our street demonstrations here as a matter of fact regardless of whether or not we can really effect change over there. The most important thing is we start somewhere somehow!

Right now, we are concentrating our efforts to start a litigation on behalf of the People of the Philippine Republic against the sales of Philippine patrimonies in Japan, including the property of the Laurels that was paid with reparations payments funds, in violation of a SC ruling passed in 1992 that prohibits these sales without the consent of majority of the people of the Philippines. Not even Marcos tried to sell these properties as a matter of fact. All the more reason why it should not be sold by a bogus president.

Elvie, if you can have the time, you should take this challenge to find out the truth about the bank accounts of the batsoys in Germany. Baka makatulong ka kay Cong. Cayetano in exposing this. Nevertheless, nagmamanman kami!

  42. Chabeli Chabeli

    Ystakei,
How nice to know that you have given more than many of us in helping the plight of the Filipinos, which may be translated to helping the Philippines. Keep up the good work!

Ystakei, I’ve never given up that idea in my head. In fact, we were invited by a friend for a wandering weekend in Austrian Alps this coming weekend. This would have been a very interesting one for me because there is one guy (3 families are going) with them who actually works for Hypo branch in our our place. But I’ll try to persuade my Pinay friend to do the job for me. This is the same friend who was in Guimaras last Aug. when GMA and her group visited the oil disaster in that place. A ” lifesize” picture of her and Ate Glue is “proudly” displayed in her living room here! Say mo?
Do you know Hypovereinsbank is an Italian owned bank? Munich is only one of its numerous branches.

It’s actually nothing to brag about. Kahit sino puede namang gawin. It is just a matter of will and guts especially with a very conducive environment!

Nababanggit lang baka sakaling may maenganyong gumaya. Kasi I believe in the principle, the more the merrier, but when it comes to cooking, leave it to the cooks so the broth will not be spoiled!

Tuloy ang laban! PATASIKIN NA, NOW NA!

Nakalimutan ko ang pangalan that rhymes with buhangin!

Baka may Mafia connection ha? Ingat ka!

Best thing really is for Cayetano, et al to solicit the help of the Interpol coursed through sana sa Philippine police. Kaya lang with the relative of the Fatso heading this agency, walang pag-asa. Still, Cayetano, et al, as a member of the Philippine Congress can try writing to the Director of Interpol for assistance.

Ngayon…wala!
