Nandoon kaya yun sa mga tape na hawak ni Ong? Ibig sabihin noon, talagang may ibang operasyon na ginawa ang ISAFP kay Gloria Arroyo.

Ano naman kaya ang pinag-usapan ni Arroyo at ni Nani Perez na takot na takot si Arroyo marinig ng publiko? Romantic kaya?

If that’s the case, then Ong and the opposition should be commended for not making public the sordid details of GMA and Nani-honey’s luv affair.

The government has routinely used records of cellphone calls and caller locations to show where a suspect was at a particular time, with access to those records obtainable under a lower legal standard. (Wireless operators keep cellphone location records for varying lengths of time, from several months to years.)…

Prosecutors, while acknowledging that they have to get a court order before obtaining real-time cell-site data, argue that the relevant standard is found in a 1994 amendment to the 1986 Stored Communications Act, a law that governs some aspects of cellphone surveillance.

The standard calls for the government to show “specific and articulable facts” that demonstrate that the records sought are “relevant and material to an ongoing investigation” – a standard lower than the probable-cause hurdle.

The magistrate judges, however, ruled that surveillance by cellphone – because it acts like an electronic tracking device that can follow people into homes and other personal spaces – must meet the same high legal standard required to obtain a search warrant to enter private places.

“Permitting surreptitious conversion of a cellphone into a tracking device without probable cause raises serious Fourth Amendment concerns, especially when the phone is monitored in the home or other places where privacy is reasonably expected,” wrote Stephen W. Smith, a magistrate in Federal District Court in the Southern District of Texas, in his ruling.

“The distinction between cell site data and information gathered by a tracking device has practically vanished,” wrote Judge Smith. He added that when a phone is monitored, the process is usually “unknown to the phone users, who may not even be on the phone.”

I think they were needed for at least a part of the “technical” requirements of Mig21. has anyone tried to check phone billing records to match them to calls in the Garci tapes. Read those sections below and ask yourself if Gen. Senga isn’t guilty of the violations being described if Mayet Santos is telling the truth. It’s so obvious. SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, not being authorized by all the parties to any private communication or spoken word, to tap any wire or cable, or by using any other device or arrangement, to secretly overhear, intercept, or record such communication or spoken word by using a device commonly known as a dictaphone or dictagraph or detectaphone or walkie-talkie or tape recorder, or however otherwise described:

(1B) It shall also be unlawful for any person, be he a participant or not in the act or acts penalized in the next preceding sentence, to knowingly possess any tape record, wire record, disc record, or any other such record, or copies thereof, of any communication or spoken word secured either before or after the effective date of this Act in the manner prohibited by this law; or to replay the same for any other person or persons; or to communicate the contents thereof, either verbally or in writing, or to furnish transcriptions thereof, whether complete or partial, to any other person: Provided, That the use of such record or any copies thereof as evidence in any civil, criminal investigation or trial of offenses mentioned in Section 3 hereof, shall not be covered by this prohibition.

SECTION (2A) Any person who wilfully or knowingly does or who shall aid, permit, or cause to be done any of the acts declared to be unlawful in the preceding section or who violates the provisions of the following section or of any order issued thereunder, or aids, permits, or causes such violation shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not less than six months or more than six years and with the accessory penalty of perpetual absolute disqualification from public office if the offender be a public official at the time of the commission of the offense, and, if the offender is an alien he shall be subject to deportation proceedings.

The silence of Malacanang regarding the wiretapping presumes Gloria Arroyo & her gang were responsible. If Gloria or her husband had nothing to do with it, why does she/he remain silent? It’s a breach of national security. It jeopardizes our country, Philippines. It is a high crime committed by the highest official. It is time the Filipino people unite and oust Arroyo.

Ang atin kasing legislative body (both house and senate) ay nagigiging toothless na! Dapat tandaan na natin ngayon kung sino ang mga di karapatdapat na ibalik sa mababang kapulungan o sa senada man(kung meron pang senado!). Iyong mga walang ginagawa, o iyong mga stamping pad, o mga ‘noted’ gentlemen dapat naka-blacklist na.
