No record of Mikey’s supplemental SALN in Ombudsman, Pampanga capitol

by VERA Files

The Office of the Ombudsman and Pampanga provincial capitol have no record of presidential son and Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo filing any supplemental Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth (SALN) for 2002 where he said he reported the assets of his wife Angela Montenegro after they married, as required by law.

Mikey’s SALN for 2003 is also not in the files of both offices.

The supplemental SALN, which Mikey and his lawyer Ruy Rondain produced last week, amends his declared 2002 assets of P5 million to P68.7 million, an increase they said was brought about by his marriage to Angela in June 2002. Mikey was then Pampanga vice governor.

When he got married, precisely because he wanted to declare his and his wife’s joint assets, he filed a supplemental SALN),” Rondain told DZRH commentator Joe Taruc in the morning radio program “Damdaming Bayan.”

Marrying an “independently wealthy” woman is the latest justification Mikey has provided for the jump in his net worth, which stood at P74 million in 2004 and P99 million last year. Mikey has said his wealth enabled him to purchase real property, including a $1.32-million beachfront house in Foster City, California in 2006.

  1. Mikey Arroyo and his lawyer, Rondain are proving to the world that they are twins sons of bitches!

  2. chi chi

Bring Rondain to the court of law for deception and obstruction of justice.

As to Mikey, he’s political career is no more. Balik F-actor na lang ang son of a bitch na ito!

There are times when you get caught with your pants down below your knees one too many times, the evidence is plain for all to see…so no matter what and how good lies are being concocted to cover up the, he better pull his pants up instead and just bear the consequence…Be a Man>Mickey, not a mouse…

  6. martina martina

Kung walang SALN niya sa capitol, that means iniwala na, or in the process of having been pulled out, for revision. In the process of what palusot they can hatch.

  7. I’m not surprised. Pag-asa na lang talaga iyong mga records sa America and cooperation of the FBI and even perhaps the ICPO (Interpol).

Forget about honor and dignity daw! Yuck!

Lord forgive them even when they know what they do!!!! 😛

  8. Still, kudos to you, Ellen, and your partners at Vera Files. At least, di nakaw ang kinakain nila.

God bless and protect you all at Vera Files, Ellen!

Its common sense, if there’s no record on file, that means he did not file. What they are presenting now as evidence is an ante-dated document to prove that he filed the amended SALN.

This guy Rondain’s stupid mistake or incompetence, he did not bother to talk to any officer at the capitol office of the ombudsman to have it registered and put it on file. He don’t even have to bribe his way, because just by showing the Mikey Arroyo name and signature, whoever in charge of that office will surely do what is asked of him. Maybe he assumed that Vera Files will not extend their research and investigation over there. He did not cover all the bases, kaya buking na buking ang pang-dodoktor nila.

But in the process he commits more crimes.

It’s like having stepped into a quicksand. The more you move, the more you sink.

Hala, sige. Ano pang sunod na kasinungalingan. Galingan mo iho at i-verify yan ng Vera Files. Baka mabuking ka na naman.

Tumahimik ka na lang kaya at magpakabait.

Notarial documents are public documents – kaya nga notary public.

So why not ask the notary public for copies (he is supposed to keep one) of the document he notarized. Also, get the documents before and after Mikey’s, kung meron. Give him some heat. I’m sure he has been rewarded accordingly by the husband of the “independently wealthy” woman.

  12. andres andres

How about the Van Ness and Bush Buildings of GMA?

  14. Golberg Golberg

Sabi niya noon, “I was goofed.”
I learned my lessons. If they have anything against me in having this, they should ask my lawyer.
Mukha ka naman kasing goof eh!!!!!
Maganda pang tingnan si goofy. Yung aso ni mickey mouse.

  15. The mere volume of travels abroad help hide the destination of the loot! What will America do when kleptocrats frequent it’s soil?

  16. It is easy to come up with any type of response when you are cornered — his explanation for his sudden unexplained wealth is gobsmacking in the extreme. the court of public opinion is against him and rightly so, it is therefore incumbent upon this hoodlum to prove that his unexplained wealth came from his wife. Show proof that it is so.

Taking his word — that his wife can afford to buy a house worth more than a million dollars because she is independently wealthy — is simply out of the question.

He is out of his mind if he believes that he can hide behind his wife and use her as his cannon fodder and that Filipinos will take him at his word.

Does he really think Filipinos are idiots?

  17. Father and son seem to have the same scum principle in life: Not a day’s honest work and become rich and when caught, HIDE BEHIND THEIR WIVES. USE THEM AS CANNON FODDERS.

Son of a gun! What kind of men are these?

  18. The supplemental SALN, which Mikey and his lawyer Ruy Rondain produced last week, amends his declared 2002 assets of P5 million to P68.7 million, an increase they said was brought about by his marriage to Angela in June 2002.

In effect what the lawyer is saying is that the woman paid dowry to the tune of 63+million pesos.

Are they trying to say that Mikey used the dowry to pay for the house in the US?

Let’s assume it’s true. After he bought it in his name, he transferred it back to his wife. (If that is true, could mean that the wife doesn’t trust him so asked for the house in her name.) Then why on earth did he say that the house was bought in the name of a corporation? Why the lie? It’s been proven that the corporation doesn’t exist. So why the lie again?

When he was cornered, he says he received wedding gifts and campaign donations which he is trying to make us believe he used to pay for the house. So where does the wealth of the wife come in (that the stupid lawyer is alluding to as having been the source of the sudden wealth of this hoodlum)?

The lawyer is trying to turn people around. That lawyer should be skinned alive for insulting the intelligence of Filipinos.

  19. Assuming that all these hocus pocuses weren’t magic, I still would like to know how Mikey turned his 50,000-peso asset into a P5 million asset in 2002?

Where did he get the P5 million asset that he declared in his 2002 SALN?

He must be asked to explain. He mustn’t be let off easy — let him shit in his panties but he must be made to account for EVERY SINGLE CENT HE’S GOT!!!

That’s the only way to kill pariahs in our society.

  20. No, Mikey, you are truly the son of your parents. Stealing, cheating, lying is in your blood.

The only way to cleanse your blood of this ignoble stain is to come clean and make it quick!

Don’t hide behind your wife; don’t use her as cannon fodder. Don’t be half turd-half man!

  21. Assuming that all these hocus pocuses weren’t magic, I still would like to know how Mikey turned his 50,000-peso asset into a P5 million asset in 2002?—AdeBrux

Hehehe!

  22. Granting it is true that the increase in his wealth came from his wife, Angela, the original issue was (still is) he did not include in his SALN his P63 million house in Foster City, San Francisco.

The sudden increase in his wealth was brought up by Winnie Monsod in his TV interview in Unang Hirit. That’s where he said “campaign contributions”. That led us in VERA Files to look into what he filed with the Comelec. That’s when we found out that he did not report any campaign contributions.

Now it’s an “independently wealthy wife.”

But that does not explain the main issue which is, “why didn’t you include your house in San Francisco, which is under your wife’s name, in your SALN.”

Under the law, assets under the names of immediate family members should be reported.

  23. Under the law, assets under the names of immediate family members should be reported.

Ellen, are Mikey and his lawyer sticking to that bogus 2002 SALN declaration? The one without offcial stamp?

  24. chi chi

  25. Hahaha! Chi — you know that was exactly what I told myself when I saw the video of the house! Hahaha!

  26. Re Gloria was mad at Mikey for buying an ugly house: that’s from the hit comedy skit of Jon Santos.

  27. chi chi

Ganun ba, Ellen? It was from my mails from an unknown sender. Hehehe! Nakakatawa e!

  28. Marichu Villanueva of Philippine Star called me up the day after VERA Files’ first story on Mikey and Dato’s Sanfo houses.

Kuwento niya that a Malacañang official called her up (ayaw niya sabihin who but I suspect Serge Remonde) and asked, “Ichu, who is this Vera Files? (as in F-i-l-e-s).”

Tawa ng tawa si Marichu. I told her. Why don’t you set up an appointment with the official and Miss Files (as in F-i-l-e-s).

Marichu said she explained to the official that Vera Files is not a person but a group of writers.

  29. Chi, I’d like nga sana to watch that Jon Santos show. Mukhang I can’t afford the ticket. Maganda raw. Masaya.

  30. chi chi

Hahaha!

It proves that Gloria’s spookesmen/women make statements and banat without knowing.

  31. chi chi

Ellen, I archived Jon Santos’ show and humahagalpak ako ng tawa sa kanyang satires and punch lines.

  32. Remonde is terribly lightweight in brain category, isn’t he? Does he read newspapers at all? If he read the articles, he would notice that in all the papers that published the article en toto, VERA FILES was identified.

    Tanga rin ano?

  34. Ellen,

Just goes to show, bobo nga talaga. Baka nanonood ng X-Files!

Truth is I have a cousin who lives there, at ang ganda ng bahay. Doktor kasi sa Seton Medical Center sa Daly City.
