Many times, in crisis in my life, I would dream of my parents who had passed away, and I know that they continue to watch over us, their children and our families.

  2. Since becoming president,Gloria Arroyo has had the palace and its grounds exorcised at least twice.

Palace employees reported hearing “devil sounds”.

It turned out that the place had not been blessed and the fixtures included demonic emblems.

If there is one spirit that the exorcists missed,it’s that one that causes CORRUPTION.

According to the bible, human beings are consist of three things: flesh, soul, and spirit.

According to the bible also, when a man dies, the spirit goes up to heaven. The flesh and soul stays here on earth or the place of their burial.

So, when are they going to be awaken to go to heaven, according to the bible? On the second coming of Christ.

So, your mother or whoever is not watching you from heaven. They are sleeping in their graves. Even Moses and the apostles are still in their graves.

You should all consult the bible to get your beliefs right. Rely on the bible, not on traditions.

    you are right there, man…

but would you believe that there were times in my life i came think “there is no such heaven or hell that exists.??>

i don’t know…i believe, on my traditional faith, i am wrong…i can’t help myself but thinking these things over and over…relating those seen facts, science and the likes…

i hope someone could, simply yet enough, convince me to stick on one faith…that these things exist…

    thnx….

    ps..

    plz don’t misinterpret…
i am not saying that believing those things are ills…
i just want somebody to clarify over these things to me…

    tnx again……..

Nobody knows what is there before and after life, if there are such things as creation or evolution or heaven and hell. Informations that we get from science, religion or the bible are all theories and never anyone has any proven fact. These things will only be proven when one passed away and see it by himself; If there is a God, if there is a St. Peter, if there is a soul or spirit, if there is heaven or hell, but the problem is how will one communicate it to the living. So until then everything will remain a mystery until one can actually come back from the dead to prove or deny it.

Whatever, as it is our custom and tradition, we continue to honor and remember our loved ones who passed away every all souls day. In that way, if there is really a thing after life, our loved ones cannot hold it against us for not remembering them.

The first thing that must be answer are a series of questions before I can directly answer Jegs question whether there is heaven or hell.

Is the Bible Really the Word of God?

Is there a scientific evidence? Is there an archaelogical evidence? Are historical facts written in the bible accurate?

“The Bible was written by over 40 authors who came from just about every walk of life conceivable, including fisherman, kings, a butler, priests, and a tax collector. The 66 books of the Bible were written over a 1,500 year span in three languages on three continents with one theme and NO CONTRADICTIONS.”

“Yet another reason Christians believe God is the ultimate author of the Bible is the predictive prophecies in the Bible. This aspect is unique to the world’s religions because if one predicts something will happen and it does not, they are proven to be phony. The Bible is literally filled with detailed prophecies that have been fulfilled with 100% accuracy.”

When Cory died, daming nakiramay especially those who can’t barely afford the pamasahe but gone to her funeral or viewing anyways, some must have brought their own “baon” and their families and children. Celebrities and corrupt politicians were invited to say good words, some actors even though not legitimate singers came to sing and there were ample food for those “Special Guests” but not the poorest of the poor who came to pay their last respects. She was eventually laid to rest in a very nice place, no need to elaborate on that.

Now – contrast that to the poorest of the poor. When one of them perish, there is panic or scramble of those who were left behind, where the money will come from to buy a decent coffin (if they are not burned in some parking lot somewhere), no celebrities or corrupt politician kahit na they were invited, no singer would dare show up kahit na laos. In short, their death is not worth honoring. Very few will attend, no food to serve.

    Why is that?

While I myself have no clue what really happens after our stay on earth, my wish is for the oppressed and good people on earth to have a special dignified place awaiting us someday.

We are believers or Not, matter not very much..there were many Great men and women who made their mark in History (with their Good deeds) that has nothing to do with their belief in Religion or the Existence of Super Being..in our Time, we have seen many who confess to be the Ultimate Christians and Schoolars of many other Religions,But..but we also seen how they transgressed the teachings of the very Religion they believe in and some will not hesitate to Blow up innocent fellow human in the name of their Gods. We do have to go Far. We read them everyday as it happens..we can see the results…and if there is really God..He Must be Very, Very Angry. And at Times He show them in His Own ways..

At kita. P20 kada ulo. Meron ding inililista na “on foot”. “Orbit” ang tawag sa kotong na ito.

“You should all consult the bible to get your beliefs right. Rely on the bible, not on traditions”.

Lumalabas na talagang inutil yung Holy Ghost at bumaba pa in the form of a fiery toungue.

“Even Moses and the apostles are still in their graves.”

The Bible teaches that man is composed of spirit, soul, and body – each distinct from one another:

“And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).” ( I Thessalonians 5:23, Amplified Bible)
    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20Thessalonians%205:23&version=AMP

It clearly states in the aforementioned verse that man is composed of spirit, soul, and body.

What happens to each distinct compositon of man when he dies?

What happens to his body when he dies?

Man comes from dust and to dust he will return: “All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.” (Eccl. 3:20, NIV)
    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ecclesiates%203:20&version=NIV

    The body returns to dust.

What happens to the other distinct composition of man, the spirit?

“and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” (Ecc. 12:7, NIV)
    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes%2012:7&version=NIV

As stated above, when the body returns to dust, the spirit returns to God.

What happens to the soul when a man dies?
“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4, ASV)
    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel%2018:4&version=ASV

The biblical truth is opposed to the teaching by many religions that man’s soul does not die. Undoutedly, since the soul dies, it does not return to God immediately upon man’s death as claimed by others. When a man dies, it is his spirit – and not the soul—that returns to God as mentioned above.

To summarize: When a man dies, the body and soul stays here on earth, and the spirit goes back to God.

Yung transfiguration ay nasa New Testament at wala sa old testament.

Kaya hindi isinama yung books of apocrypha.

“This day you will be with in paradise.” Namatay yun. Nakalibing din ba yung kaluluwa niya?

Should be “This day you will be with Me in paradise.”

90AD di tinanggap ng mga Hudyo yung Greek Translation (Septuagint Version) kaya binawasan nila yung Hebrew Canon from 46 to 39 books.
290AD sa Jewish Council of Jamnia, pormal na nilang tinanggal yung deuterocanonical books.
1529-Luther proposed the reduced Hebrew canon of the Jews to be the O.T.

Matt. 28:52 “And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose”
Ang sabi “bodies of the saints.”
Maililibing mo ba yung immaterial being?

  25. xman xman

Ang dami mong gustong talakayin. Isa isa nating talakayin.

Unahin natin yang tungkol sa apocrypha, latina vulgata, septugiant. Tapos isunod natin yong good thief, tapos yong kay Moses.

  26. xman xman

What is Apocrypha? In the Webster’s Third New International Dictionary of the English Language Unabridged, this is written on page 100:

“apocrypha – quasi-scriptural nancanonical or deuterocanonical books of doubtful authorship and authority.”

Noncanonical means not in the canon. In the aforementioned Webster’s Dictionary, this is written on page 328:

“canon – a collection or authoritative list of books accepted as holy scripture; as (1): books forming the accepted Hebrew list of the Holy Scriptures collected under the divisions of the Law, the Prophets, and the writings accepted by Protestant Christians as the original and definitive canon of the Old Testament but supplemented by Roman Catholics with additional books drawn from the Septuagint. (2): books forming the Christian New Testament. (3): books forming the Old and New Testaments and constituting the Christian Bible.”

What is the meaning of Septuagint? In the same aforementioned Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, this is written on page 2071:

“Septuagint – (1): A) the 70 or 72 Jewish scholars at Alexandria held to have translated the Old Testament into Greek. B) a copy or edition of the Greek translation of the Old Testament including the Apocrypha prepared in the 3d and 2d centuries B.C., constituting the first vernacular translation of the Bible, designed to meet the needs of Greek-speaking Jews of Egypt unable to read their Scriptures in Hebrew, and still used in the Eastern Orthodox Church.”

  27. xman xman

The word Septuagint is literally taken from the latin term septuaginta, which means seventy. So, the Septuagint is the Greek translation by the 70 or 72 Jewish scholars at Alexandria, Egypt of the Hebrew Old Testament including the Apocrypha ( the books of Macchabees were among the Apocrypha) prepared in the third and second centuries before Christ.

The Septuagint was prepared in the third and second centuries before Christ. The Apocrypha were included in the Greek translation of the Old Testament, and thus, the Apocrypha became part of the Septuagint.

The original Hebrew list of the books of the Old Testament had already been accepted before Septuagint was prepared.

The first collection to be canonized consisted of the first five books of the Bible and was variously called: the Law (Hebrew, Torah), the Pentateuch, the Books of Moses. This collection was canonized about 400 B.C.E. The second collection canonized was the Prophets (Hebrew, Nabim), which was canonized about 200 B.C.E. Writings (Kethûbim, Greek, Hagiographa) were canonized about 90 C.E. This last canonization was understood as ratifying a commonly used, complete collection since the second or first century B.C.E.
    http://department.monm.edu/classics/Speel_Festschrift/sundbergJr.htm

The completion of the Greek translation of the 46 books of Septuagint in the 2nd or 3rd century before Christ does not mean it was automatically canonized. It just means that the translation for Septuagint (46 books) was completed. There is no Jewish Council that canonized the Septuagint accepting their 46 books in the 2nd or 3rd century before Christ.

Saint Jerome (c. 340 – September 30, 420) He is best known for his new translation of the Bible into Latin, which has since come to be called the Vulgate and his list of writings are extensive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome

When Jerome undertook the revision of the Old Latin translations of the Septuagint, he checked the Septuagint against the Hebrew texts that were then available. He came to believe that the Hebrew text better testified to Christ than the Septuagint.[24] He broke with church tradition and translated most of the Old Testament of his Vulgate from Hebrew rather than Greek.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Septuagint

  28. xman xman

While many have previously believed that Christ and the Apostles used the Greek Septuagint because it was the common tongue of the day, the recent discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran proves conclusively that the Old Testament was available in Hebrew in Israel at the time of Christ.

    Note the following verse:
Matt. 5:18 For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled.

A Catholic Bible commentary says the following about the above verse:
jot or tittle: “Jot” refers to yôd, the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet; “tittle” is a slight serif on a Hebrew letter that distinguishes it from another, similarly formed letter.

Source: The New Jerome Bible Commentary, copyright 1990, 1968, by Prentice Hall, Inc., ISBN 0-13-614934-0, page 641.
So it would seem, based on the above Catholic commentary, that Catholics do, in fact, accept that Christ was referring to scripture in the Hebrew language, and NOT a Greek translation!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is there a book in the New Testament that was written originally in Greek? The answer is Yes.

It is not a translated Greek Septuagint but originally written by Apostle Paul in Greek. Why?
The ancient city of Thessalonia is in Greece. Paul was in Thessalonia when he wrote his 1st Epistle, Thessalonians. He has to write it in it’s vernacular language, which is Greek, for his audience in Thessalonia to understand him. That’s why Paul wrote his 1st Epistle, Thessalonians, in Greek.
