Sabi nga ni Susan Roces, “You stole the presidency not once, but twice.”

Sabi ni Joker, “we won”. Nanalo kami.
Yabang ano?

What planet did you come from?!

It is better for him to rest forever and ever, amen. O saan nga pala magre-rest ang Joker? In hell!!!

I would like to think that all of us are well informed and not going to this coming election as half blind. I agree, Joker Arroyo is big a joke, not to be trusted if my life defending on it and obviously Joker is double face, turn-coat, to say the least. Nevertheless, we need to dig in deep of what he was saying, perhaps we don’t want to hear the bad news of what he has to say. But, the point being, Joker has a point on Trillanes precarious circumtances. Many un-answered questions on Trillanes eligibility as a Senator should be debated before it’s too late. Most importantly, is Trillanes a liability to UNO ticket? Is he eligible to serve if he win? Is Trillanes the best UNO can offer, especially with military charges against him?

If we’re rejecting Angelo Reyes, mutineer Gloria and those Generals to what they did, why Trillanes is any difference? Is it because he decided to join the opposition? What if he joined mutineer Gloria instead, like Angelo Reyes, what would we think of him? It’s not impossible, especially in the Philippines politics.

Look, I’ve nothing against whatsoever with Trillanes, I’m looking at this as a person on the outside with great respect with the law of the land. If we’re to move forward, we must first recognize that there are laws must be respected. If no one will respect the rule of law, what kind of a nation we would expect the Philippines and its future? Lets be smart, smarter than thousands of mutineer Gloria put together.

It’s a legitimate argument in regards to Trillanes availability.

  14. pandawan pandawan

Can a tiger get rid of its stripes? Joker cannot, he will always be joker, the nemesis of Batman, nor can he get rid of his surname. Besides which he has always been a joke as a non-working staffless legislator. Are people taking him seriously as they surely do SONNY TRILLANES? But what will they do to Trillanes in prison away from the eyes of the public? I pray for him as a I hope bloggers will also.

  15. vic vic

  16. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

I’ve no argument, I know Joker Arroyo is a big shit, human shits, etc. So, what does prove? It’s nothing but rhetorical words to release the steam out. We are not thinking clearly, that’s why mutineer Gloria always got the upper hand. Again, we need to be smarter than those illegal corrupt illegal Malacanang occupants. Speak sofly and carry a big stick!

  17. artsee artsee

Let’s pretend I am Joker Arroyo—————
You all Moron are blaming me for joining the Unity ticket of the administration, I have a variety of reasons: Yes, I hate Trillanes because every time I come home, I always saw my wife adoring his picture that hang in our living room. I hate that handsome boy, because Erap the Batman made Trillanes as his Robin and I am still a Joker. I don’t have a place in there Batmobile except the trunk. I am special because I am Joker. Every time they played card games, I was not included , they tossed me out because I am Joker.
I joined the Unity ticket because I am a tightwad, for the fourteenth year I became a congressman I never passed any single bill and only one when I become a senator. I am tightwad and they don’t call me Joker for nothing.
Who told you that I was an opposition? I was able to fooled you all because I am a Joker. Blood is ticker than water. A hundred million is a waste if I don’t take a chance. You all can curse me, but,I am laughing my way on the bank. I am Joker.

Nakahiga ako ngayon at gamit itong Apple laptop.

Why not ? The Opposition SHOULD oust Gloria. She is not the legitimate President of the Republic of the Philippines. From what I understand, Joker was an activist during Marcos’ time. How can he stomach Gloria now ? Only one thing leads me to believe that it’s really all about money !

“Naala-ala ko noong imbestigasyon ng Senado ng Oakwood mutiny, tinanong ni Trillanes kay Joker, kung ano ang diperensya ng ginawa nila at ng Edsa Dos? Sabi ni Joker, “we won”. Nanalo kami.”

Although I am not 100% for all the candidates of the Opposition, but because Joker gave an arrogant answer like “we won”, I will do a PROTEST vote in the May elections & VOTE 12-0. Should the Opposition win, tayo naman ang magsabi kay Joker, “we won”.

    “Arroyo nga talaga” !

  35. Chabeli Chabeli

Here’s something to LAUGH about..In an article today in the Malaya by Jocelyn Montemayor, “Palace: Gloria is not the issue..Pooh-poohs ‘kiss of death’ warning”

The report says that “MALACAÑANG officials yesterday said the May 14 elections are not a referendum on President Arroyo as they dismissed reports that Team Unity senatorial candidates fear that being identified with her would lessen their chances of winning.”

Then let her campaign for her Senatoriables & let them see for themselves the results. One of the many character flaw of Gloria’s is that she CAN NOT TAKE THE TRUTH. When faced w/ it, La Gloria has difficulty w/ it. Kaya spin lang ng spin.

But bet you pareho silang may lahing ungas! 😛

Talk of heredity. If that is not an illusion of grandeur, a mental illness as a matter of fact, what is?

On the other hand, Filipinos deserve what they get if they remain unperturbed by the grand looting, plundering, etc. being engaged in by these crooks in their government. God forgive them even if they know what they are doing for the sake of those who are trying hard, even those now 6 feet underground or in prison not even yet serving any term!!!

  37. Who says that the Philippines is not in martial state? Two people who have been signing petitions against bad policies of this bogus government are now not allowed to leave the country. What the Bansot does not know is that they are not the ones meeting Japanese officials to push for the stopping of ODA to the bogus Pidal government but Japanese NGOs coordinating with our groups.

As a Japanese national, though, I am invited there all the time, especially when I know that my friend, a chairman of a strong political group in Japan, is there. Actually, she was the one most enthusiastic about banning the pseudo-entertainers cum wannabe prostitutes from the Philippines.

Chi, the word is not “magwawala” because I am not as uncouth as the Madame Boba-ry of the palace by the murky river. I’m too refined for that.

Thanks you, and the rest of the barkada, enough to make up the ten required by the Lord above for a sincere prayer to free the country from all these vultures, fornicators and adulterers.

Alan Peter Cayetano can lead the prayer. Let’s pray with him.

    heto ang leader ng UNO:

IN 1998, Jose Victor ‘JV’ Ejercito, then 29 years old, became the biggest shareholder of the newly formed Best World Construction Corp., an affiliate of BW Resources Corp., the gaming company now in the dock for stock manipulation and insider trading.

Apart from Ejercito, the other incorporators of the construction firm were businessman Dante Tan, a key figure in the BW scandal; Tan’s lawyer Jose Salvador M. Rivera Jr.; Francis Ablan, who was named BW chairman early this year; and Malaysian businessman Kenneth Eswaran, Tan’s business associate who is a major shareholder of another BW affiliate, Best World Gaming & Entertainment Corp.

Corporate records show that the other shareholders of Best World Gaming include Tan, and lawyer Rivera—both of them JV Ejercito’s business partners in Best World Construction. In December 1998, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), the government’s casino company, gave Best World Gaming the sole authority to conduct nationwide computerized online bingo gaming for 10 years.

    heto naman ang UNANO:
SINCE her election to the Senate, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s net worth has increased more than tenfold, or from P6.7 million in 1992 to P72 million last year, according to statements of assets and liabilities she has been filing with the Ombudsman.

The bulk of the increase, averaging an annual 29 percent, presumably came from the interest earnings in her bank deposits, the sale and purchase of real property and stocks, and property inheritance.

The steepest increase in her net worth was recorded in 1997, a year before she ran for vice president, rising by 71 percent from the previous year’s P15.3 million to P26.1 million.

It was the year her cash in hand and in the banks rose fourfold from P704,540 to P2.86 million, she bought an agricultural lot in Nasugbu, Batangas, and she inherited property from her father, former President Diosdado Macapagal, valued at P5.4 million. It was also the year she bought a Kia Besta van for which she took out a bank loan of P341,434.

Arroyo also reported sharp increases in her net worth in 1998, the year she was elected vice president, and in 2000, a year before she assumed the presidency. Her net worth rose by P10 million (42 percent), from P26.1 million to P37 million, in 1998 and by P18 million (48 percent), from P39.5 million to P58.3 million, in 2000.

No one opposed Lacson’s reentry, but no one pushed for Angara’s inclusion. There was not much information about Villar’s group — not even Jojo Binay could say whether or not his friend Joker was running again.

  43. Tongue T.,

As an interpreter for the police, prosecutor’s office, court and bar association, and now paralegal, I, myself, wondered if Trillanes could make it, i.e, register and be qualified to run for Senator, but he did, and knowing the potential of this guy, I thought I should support him since anyway he is not yet convicted and his innocence or guilt has not been proven yet.

Over in Japan, judgment is based on motivation. When a suspect’s motive is not established well in the police investigation, most likely the case is dismissed. That is why the police has to form teams of experts to solve a case especially within the allowed time as prescribed by the law. The most that they can put a suspect on the investigation grill is 20 days. Then the prosecutor decides if he will indict or not the suspect, who becomes an accused after being indicted. Without concrete proofs and evidences to prove a motive, the prosecutor may just as well dismiss the case, for the court over here is merely to weight whether an accused is corrigible or not.

In the case of Trillanes, his actuations were more motivated by a sense of right and wrong, and he was looking for a way to right the wrong that you and I admit are definitely not right. Point is how many of the people there still know how to differentiate good from evil, right from wrong, good from bad, virtue from vice, pleasure from pain, and most of all justice from injustice?

Take the case of these Filipinos I meet in the police, court and prison in Japan. What a generation of corrupt Filipinos indeed! Saan na napunta ang kanilang sense of right and wrong?

That is why sans the military protocol, I see a different breed in Trillanes, one who has still that special gift to see the good and the bad even when his way of righting the wrong may be perceived as bad especially at this time of great confusion on what is good and what is bad.

Funny but this is actually what it is, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

God bless Trillanes! I see hope in him.

The country spent more than P2 Billion in pork barrel alone for this joke and we got NOTHING back! Typical example of old activists who cursed Marcos to his grave for his corrupt ways and for stealing from the poor. Now he’s a muppet for someone worse than Marcos!

In September 21, 1972, President Ferdinand Marcos closed down any non-state broadcast services. ABS-CBN went off the air, as its studios were taken over by networks run by presidential crony Roberto Benedicto. The ABS-CBN Broadcast Center became the home of state-run TV stations Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation (BBC Channel 2), Government Television (GTV Channel 4) and Kanlaon Broadcasting System (KBS Channel 9, formerly known as DZXL-TV 9 of CBN). Later on, the company was seized from the Lopez family, and then ABS-CBN Chairman and President Eugenio Lopez Jr. was imprisoned. On 1980, channel 2 together with channels 9 and 13 was moved to the newly built “Broadcast City” in Diliman, Quezon City.

    Ellen,

    Toney C posted this:

“Look, I’ve nothing against whatsoever with Trillanes, I’m looking at this as a person on the outside with great respect with the law of the land. If we’re to move forward, we must first recognize that there are laws must be respected. If no one will respect the rule of law, what kind of a nation we would expect the Philippines and its future? Lets be smart, smarter than thousands of mutineer Gloria put together.

It’s a legitimate argument in regards to Trillanes availability.”

Simply put, Trillanes violated the the very simple rule that my mother impressed to my mind while I was still a kid, together with my brothers and sisters–“Do not eat the hands that feed you”. This is the very reason why I don’t like Trillanes to be elected. He also violated the very first word/values in the motto of every PMA graduate which is LOYALTY.

Lest we forget, his Magdalo Group had been reported to be in contact/coalition with the Communist Party of the Philipines/New People’s Army as gathered from the evidence recovered in possession of Lt San Juan when he was arrested somewhere in Batangas in the late 2005. I’ve seen the transcripts of their (Magdalo Group) conversation with Ka Roger and NPA leaders in Southern Tagalog provinces.

Early this morning, a group of Phil Army Engineers were ambushed in Compostela Valley by the New People’s Army (NPA), who were undertaking a Barangay Water System Project in a far-flung/depressed area, which resulted to the killing and wounding most of these non-combat soldiers. This is the very same group that the Magdalo Group had been talking to for the past years for a coalition to topple the present administration/government.

Do you think the soldiers, their families, and their friends will vote Trillanes if this reported coalition between the Magdalo Group and the NPA is still existing and later played up in the media? Who would vote a candidate who is identified with a group which is anti-development?

Trillanes has three (3) active bank accounts at CITIBANK (according to my sources). Somebody is managing such accounts even if he is in confinement/prison. Such accounts have lots of deposits in it. Who are the donors? Where is he getting his money? If such money deposited will be used for his campaign, how will he repay such campaign donation/donors once he is elected as a Senator? I guess, his wife does not know the existence of these bank accounts!

I must admit, I know nothing of Trillanes 3 active bank accounts, so I’ll leave it alone. The point of my argument is about fair justice that every Pilipinos should be treated equally and the respect for the rule of law. No one should be considered above the law, especially mutineer Gloria.

My friends, What we are laughing in here is the concept of the answer from the questions. Is this the kind of mentality that we want them to represent our freedom and interest through the passages of bills for us to uphold ? A simple question, they could not give a direct answer. What we need is a legislature who are firm, principle man to tip the balance on our interest not being lopsided on the will of the president.
Blacknight–About Trillanes bank account can you talk to talk and walk to walk about your statements? Tama si Ellen, if Trilanes has any, a copy of it would be all over the media controlled by tiyanak. Saludo ako sa mga taong may paninindigan. Trillianes has shown that no amount of intimidation by tiyanak and her bodyguards(I am sorry but I can not respect the two hemmorhoids as generals, Mayuga, and the likes of these ignoble trapos-they are giving PMA a veryu bad name! I consider them only as the bodyguards of the tiyanak) can break his spirit. He is not convicted of anything yet! He is just one of the prisoners of the tiyanak. She is known to either kill her opponents or simply put them in jail indefinitely until she finishes with her sinister plot of milking the country and pretending to be a leader (flaunting it all over the world) she never was and will never be!
Arroyo is nothing but a big joke, really! He reminds of the Joker in the Batman movies, always scheming but always a loser anyway. His name “JOKER” is a perfect description of this trapo. If he calls Escudero a “little boy”, I would like to call him a very old, smelly, senile man who does not know which direction he wants to go! I would like to tell him to just gracefully retire to his Forbes Park home before he finds himself in Tondo when the tide turns!

  55. I’m excited to prove once again with the Grand Coalition, more commonly known as the United Opposition (UNO) that elections should NOT be costly.

Most of all, we’ll see how and what one motivated only with the sincere desire to right the wrong in the system and to serve his beloved country to the best of his ability literally and figuratively can do with people who can help him do a gargantuan job even when he is not free and in chain with the help of course by a force mightier than that of a legion and even a million stolen votes!

Yup, I am referring to these young turks of the UNO. They sure have guts and the looks, physical and otherwise.

Thanks, Ellen, for this venue you provide for us to come together and help that beleaguered land of our birth, regardless of whether or not we are still Filipinos. When the right time comes that the Unano is removed, we’ll celebrate with big bam boom! 😛

God willing it will be soon, and this time, it will be for real, nothing like the EDSA 1 & 2 that proved to be nothing but a powergrab for, of and by the ganids, gahamans and swapangs!!! Sorry the English adjectives cannot have the same effect, so I prefer to use the Tagalog words for them!

  56. BK,

We aren’t interested in the bank accounts of Trillanes. The poor fellow may have 3 bank accounts, so what? Kung matipid siya, natural lang. Prove to us first that the contents of his bank accounts came from devious sources.

On the other hand, why don’t you expose the bank accounts of the Maldita and her Rasputin, plus the ill-gotten wealth even in the name of the apo maybe to escape detection? Those are the things that will make even the international news, I guess. And be sure you are not supplying only hearsays. You must have the valid proofs!

  57. Come to think of it, how much is the bank account of the grandchildren of the Unano and the Pidal. I bet you maraming bank accounts iyan! Point is papaano magkakapera ang musmos kundi galing sa mga magulang, et al, and then check their net income, Bingo! Huling-huling maraming ninakaw! Madali namang mahuli sa totoo lang. Mike’s ‘crony’ tagged as Joker poll handler

Reason solon hesitant to head Blue Ribbon?

By JOAN DAIRO and REGINA BENGCO

Now, two Arroyos are in the hot seat.

One of the persons implicated in the telecoms bribery scandal was the campaign manager of Sen. Joker Arroyo in the May elections, a highly reliable source from the Senate said yesterday.

The campaign manager, Ito los Baños, was earlier tagged by Veronica “Bing Rodrigo, resigned correspondence secretary of President Arroyo, as among those who took bribes to recall the veto of a telecommunications franchise bill.

“I am 100 percent sure of this information,” said the source.

Senator Arroyo denied this. But he said he knew Los Baños because they met during the campaign and both of them are from the Bicol region.

Rodrigo sparked an uproar about two weeks ago when she told local media that Mike Arroyo, one of his businessmen-friends, and two Palace officials took a P50 million bribe to convince the President to recall her veto of the bills granting the Philippine Communications Clearinghouse Inc. and APC Wireless Interface Network Inc. franchises to allow them to operate and establish interconnection lines to mobile phones.

On Monday, she named Los Baños and an Elin de Leon, whom she described as a special assistant to the President, as among those who received bribes.
The only special assistant to the President is named Erlinda de Leon. She has denied involvement.

The supposed roles of De Leon and Los Baños in the alleged bribe were not made clear. Rodrigo only said they were supposed to help Mr. Arroyo in convincing the President to rescind the veto.

It was Mike Arroyo, another Senate source said, who asked Los Baños to help Senator Arroyo’s campaign.

Los Baños, the source alleged, collected the P50 million. Of the amount, P42 million went to Mike Arroyo, P2 million went to Los Baños, and the rest was distributed among other players, he said.

    Joker not keen on Mike

Let graft body handle it, he says

    By JOAN DAIRO

If Sen. Joker Arroyo would have his way, the Senate majority could maintain its good relations with President Arroyo by keeping its hands off from any investigation into allegations that Juan Miguel Arroyo, the President’s husband, received P50 million in exchange for a promised recall of a veto of a telecommunications franchise.

Senator Arroyo (PPC), who is being considered blue ribbon chairman, said the panel should not be saddled with the additional task of investigating Mr. Arroyo since it has already been made a repository of all kinds of complaints against government officials and employes.

Arroyo said inquiries on alleged involvement of government officials in graft and corruption should be left to the Presidential Commission on Graft and Corruption.

but didn’t joker arroyo initiate a 3-year investigation on corpus expose on lacson’s “hidden” billions and narcopolitics, per corpus and rosebud’s request, even though the DOJ under Nani perez and the NBI under reynaldo wycoco were doing it’s own investigations similar to jokers?

and when lacson tried to revive the 14 million dollar impsa bribery investigation this year

    http://www.malaya.com.ph/jan12/news4.htm

joker thumbed it down again, making all sorts of similar excuses na hindi niya ginamit when he was invesigating corpus’ expose on lacson.

anyway, back to the old 2001 stuff.

even max soliven was puzzled at mr. “ubusin ang mga corrupt”

    max soliven, philstar (7/31/01):

“I don’t understand why fledging Senator Joker Arroyo hesitated to take the juicy chairmanship of the Senate Blue Ribbon, a post other solons would have died for. Is he scared of having to bump heads with the Palace if he investigates the Mike bribery allegations? Is he daunted by the workload involved, complaining that the Blue Ribbon has become the tambakan (dumpsite) for every complaint addressed to the Senate? Joker pointed out that during the 11th Congress, the Blue Ribbon had received 118 referrals, or the equivalent of one referral every two session days.

To even think that Joker is afraid is beyond comprehension. He goes to office with a snarl. He’s got guts and even gall. When he was our lawyer during martial law, his staffers would do the homework, then he would go to the courthouse to browbeat the judges in their own salas. I don’t want to say, on the other hand, that Joker is lazy. I’m just wondering why, in his three terms (nine years) as congressman from Makati, Joker did not file or get passed into law a single resolution or bill. Why, he didn’t even, his contemporaries say, have a House staff of his own. So, some ask, where did the appropriations for a House staff go? To charity, no doubt.
    ……………………………………..

So, Joker: Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. A freshman Senator getting the Blue Ribbon is a grandstander’s dream! And that’s always been your forte. Or is Senator Arroyo (no relation) merely making pakipot? I don’t think it’s comely for his fellow solons to have to come to their knees and beg”

Everytime this guy would come to Japan then, the property would either be torched to cause a fire or someone trying to cause a fire to gut it down.

It could be coincidental but it happened not just once but thrice. The old building there that was considered a historical site being the first planetarium in Japan was finally destroyed by a fire. You bet, and this fellow was here according to our informant!!!

The charges were reported to have been submitted to the Manila Trial Court with a recommended bail of P12,000.

He claimed that some members of the political opposition “conspired” with disgruntled military rebels who want to topple the government by “funding” their activities.

I am a daily visitor of Ellen’s blog, though I haven’t posted any comments ‘coz much of the things I would like to share have already been amply discussed by others. Nonetheless, in reaction to valid points raised by Toney Cuevas, I believe that Trillanes and the Magdalo group committed not a coup d’état nor a mutiny, but yes, the most that they could be accused of is insubordination.

I should point out that there is no attempt of power grab. If it was, objective, why did they have to occupy Oakwood knowing that they have been discovered and that a failed dialogue was made with the illegitimate President about two days prior to the Oakwood incident in July 2003 just before the SONA? Why did have to risk their lives and their soldiers’ and sacrifice the welfare of their dear families and their career for a very expensive adventurism with sure guarantee of failure? What trigger Magalo do what they did in Oakwook four years ago?

Their mission is greater than their career and the welfare of their families. Their mission is to expose this morally bankrupt who is so heartless and willing to sacrifice the lives of innocent and civilians and soldiers for a very despicable/devilish purpose. Perhaps some of you are aware or have heard of the statement of Magdalo soldiers at the height of Oakwood takeover, specifically relating to GREENBASE EXPOSE pointing to a small and very influential group in the military, in the national executive with the support of a world superpower as the master mind of the series of bombings in Mindanao that killed many civilians and soldiers in 2003. Perhaps some of you still remember the news about an American treasure hunter and suspected bomber was spirited out by FBI agents in a hospital Davao without coordination with local authorities in Davao and without the DOF filling a diplomatic protest? He was apprehended when a bomb exploded inside his hotel room injuring him. Perhaps Ellen can provide the links to all this.

They do what they did because these gallant and courageous soldiers and officers can not stomach exposing their starving and poorly equipped soldiers to extreme danger and to die in the process for a morally bankrupt purpose, hoping that by exposing them some reforms can be instituted in the process. They have delivered the message to the government and to the people. And they are paying for their sacrifices willingly.

He is not regretting what he did. He will not sell and compromise his soul. He is standing firm on his conviction and will continue to fight for it inside prison walls. He is running for senator to serve as forum for reforms in the military and good governance. He hopes to win but is prepared to lose the election and even to be stripped of his senatorship if he wins the election. He’ll work hard even while in prison.

I am not part of his campaign team. But I will campaign for him and vote for him as a protest vote. I’ll vote straight UNO.

My apologiesfor the long post, minsan lang naman.

    Mrivera,

  88. Email from Nick:

Hindi ko po maiwasang manghinayang sa ipinaglaban natin sa EDSA 1 ( I still have goose bumps reminiscing those times that I was part of the human barricade, so to speak).

    Nick of US of A

I think Mrivera is referring to historical figure, one of our national hero and the youngest general, Gen. Gregorio H. del Pilar.

    pingkian,

Your post helped my understanding of Oakwood a lot. Thanks. Hope you’ll blog more.

Gen. Gregorio H. del Pilar: Also my favorite Philippine general.

    Mrivera, Pingkian,

Sorry to ask, ano na nga ang pingkian? I need to browse my history books.

There are 2 side effects of marijuana-smoking. First, you lose your memory. The second one, I forgot.

  100. justicialiga justicialiga

    Ellen,

Maybe Enrile and Ramos tried to conduct a coup in 1986 but it was a revolution (the People Power event) that placed Cory Aquino in power.

The 2001 People Power has already been ruled Intra- Constitutional by the Supreme Court. But if you wish to; would you care to elucidate the role of Joker in People Power 2 aside from leading the resignation of the House prosecutors?

If you are referring to the “right to privacy” in the Jose Pidal issue; that could have been rectified if those who wanted it re-opened pressed that a new development in the issue occurred when “Iggy” no longer remained a Private citizen when he won his seat in Congress.

Regarding his answer to Trillanes, I’d regard it as an answer “na pang-asar”.

Now about your claim that Joker is afraid of “coups”; it would greatly depend on what your and Joker’s definition of a coup would be and distinguish that from a revolution. Would a coup be one that was done without the consent of the people?

  101. Mrivera Mrivera

tongue, nag-marijuana ka rin ba? kasi nagka-amnesia ka rin yata. he he heh

  102. justicialiga justicialiga

    Chi,

You are reasoning out that Joker feels that coups are ok for him as long he was the one who was doing it but not when others do.

Would you care to explain why the 2 successful People Power events were coups and why they are not different from the present attempts and Joker’s participation in the 2 previous ones?

  103. justicialiga justicialiga

    mike_dlc

Based on the article referred; Paragraph 2 isn’t a categorical statement from Joker but already an interpretation of the reporter.

Based on the article referred; Paragraph 7 isn’t even a categorical statement that the insertion of a rebel precipitated their decision.

  104. justicialiga justicialiga

    artsee,

So you claim to be the one who edits the posts here. And you’re even telling a poster to keep on your good side and the poster will stay OK!

Do you have a correlation between the instances that Joker was asking favors from ex-Pres. Estrada and Joker’s eventual help in prosecuting the President in the impeachment?

BTW, as I was scanning the posts, I noticed many posts with fertilizer quality yet unfortunately lacking the good characteristic to be really used as such.

I wondered about that since I don’t usually see such language persists in blogs or forums. But then you are the “editor” so when I chanced upon one of your posts; well you can guess the rest.

  105. justicialiga justicialiga

    Chabeli,

Your reason for voting the entire Opposition slate seems shallow. But you are free to vote as you wish no matter the reasons; so, so be it.

  106. justicialiga justicialiga

    TonGuE-tWisTeD,

I encountered someone like you in PEX regarding a thread on Joker with nearly the same claim.

Both of you are wrong. And don’t pass the buck to Max Soliven (who not only is dead but also someone I respect). Max obviously made a mistake with regards to the article J Marzan’s is quoting.

Makati would not have become a city without Congressional action.

There may be more bills done by Joker but one is enough to show everyone that you are wrong!

    Do proper research next time!

  107. justicialiga justicialiga

    John Marzan,

I read your reply in Manolo’s blog but a word press problem continues to prevent me from answering there.

And I also saw a similar post like yours on PEX.

Anyway, I’ll post a similar reply in Manolo’s once it’s ok.

As to your statement that joker arroyo initiated a 3-year investigation on lacson even though the DOJ under Nani perez and the NBI under reynaldo wycoco were doing it’s own investigations similar to his; sometime in August 2003, the results of those investigations were to recommend to the DOJ to “pursue” their investigation and recommend to the Office of the Ombudsman that it “conduct” its own probe and file the appropriate charges if evidence warrants it.

With regards to the IMPSA case; Joker stated that:
“• It is a waste of time and taxpayers money as Congress is bound not to finish the probe because of the coming elections
    • The Office of the Ombudsman has the jurisdiction of the case
    • The findings might be in conflict with that of the Ombudsman”

Based on the article linked; the Ombudsman has already issued it’s recommendations. Ergo, it’s even leaps and bounds already on such an investigation.

By your statement, it took years for the Senate to finish their probe. But let’s say that the Senate miraculously finished their own probe on the matter within the available months; their findings will also be sent to the Ombudsman(which is mandated to serve as the lead agency in the total war on graft and corruption) that has already issued their own recommendations.

  108. justicialiga justicialiga

    For some of the rest,

Just read my post to artsee. There’s a message somewhere in the there for you guys.

  109. Justicialiga, mahilig magbiro si Artsee.

Now re you defense of Joker on coups, whatever his role is, front or behind, he was part of it. And he benefitted fron it bigtime. It’s sheer hyporicy on his part to condemn Trillanes.

And I remember very well his answer to Trillanes during the Senate investigation when asked about the difference between Oakwood and Edsa II. “We won”.

No legality is involved. Basta manalo ka okay.

As to his sitting on Jose Pidal, klaro naman yan e.

  110. justicialiga justicialiga

    Ellen,

You didn’t give what you understand a coup is. Of course we’ll never know Joker’s real definition of one but you should have at least given yours.

Most understand coups to be conducted largely by the military alone.

And then you are not clarifying his role in them but just claim that there is. Pardon but you are a journalist so don’t take it the wrong way if we expect more from you. BTW, 1986 is a revolution.

And you want to give artsee the benefit that he/she is only joking yet you won’t extend the same for Joker.

Not that I necessarily believe that Iggy is Jose Pidal but like I said it was a right to privacy issue of a private citizen who supposedly had no connection (legally)to government.
