Parañaque Representative Roilo Golez has used SMS effectively in sending his statements on burning issues of the day. This is his text message on the Council of State that Malacañang is convening (to be presided, I understand, by former President Fidel Ramos). He has additional comments on the GMA’s curse on the Filipino people that is the Concom:
Council of State not suitable forum to resolve political differences. Too big and unwieldy. Just like in the NSC, it’s normally a monologue by the President and Malacañang presentors. No detailed discussions.
Better is top level heart to heart discussion among PGMA and former Presidents where PGMA should level with them on the truth about garci tapes, fertilizer fund issue, road users tax and proposal to cancel 2007 election.
PGMA must bite the bullet and seek the former Presidents’ advice. Otherwise Council of State would be a waste of time.

1. CONCOM Chairman’s call on FVR escorted by Executive Secretary and Presidential Political Adviser eloquently shows who are behind CONCOM. It shows who really are behind the indecent proposal to cancel the 2007 election and pack the proposed parliament with 30 puppet MPs.
2.The cat is out of the bag. Malacañang’s Plan B is People’s Initiative, since constituentassembly is impossible with a rebellious Senate.
People’s Initiative has already been declared by the Supreme Court as illegal without enabling law. And the Supreme Court by tradition will not reverse itself. And how can it truly be called People’s Initiative when the country’s most partisan political leaders are the ones initiating it?

I never truly appreciated ex-naval officer and NSA adviser Roy Golez but if he can hack it, I might change my mind.
Malacanang’s Plan B- people’s initiative is another move to suppress the people’s right. In fact it appeared in Philippine Daily Inquirer, issued Janaury 8,2006. Gloria mobilized the local officials to support the constitutional amendments proposed by ConCom including the contoversal “no elections in 2007.”
Eastern Samar Gov. Evardone, spokeperson of the Union of Local Authorithies of the Philippines (ULAP), spearhead the move that incumbent local officials are much favor”No election in 2007.” he further said, by collecting 5 millions signatures of 12 percent of the country voting population or 3 percent of voter of every legistlative district. Wow!! may bunos naman ang mga trapos na ito. They favor, in simple reason that they, incumbent local officials could not be sure if they will be re-elected, especially the congressmen who voted yes in junking the impeachment against Arroyo. Filipino people must watch out the decievers led by Lucifer Gloria.
The meeting of the Council of State being called by GMA is definitely a waste of time. For God’s sake!, the Donya Gloria wants only to gain pogi points to show to the entire nation that she still have the supports of the key political personalities in the country. Madame Donya, what the Filipino people want is a legal, moral leader. Leave Malacanang now!!. Stop lying to the people,stop cheating the people, stop stealing people’s money. Basic info on Council of State from a Malacañang press release issued Jan. 17, 2003:
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has issued Executive Order No. 168 reconstituting and revitalizing the Council of State.
In signing E.O. No. 168, the Chief Executive said there is a need for a consultative body, bound by a common respect for the Constitution and the rule of law, which will serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas, foster national cooperation, propose meaningful reforms in government, and advise the President on matters of public policy.
“There is a need to reconstitute and revitalize the Council of State as the highest advisory body of the government concerning critical and important national policies,” the President said.
The Council of State was created by Executive Order No. 305 dated September 9, 1987 to provide the President with reliable information and competent advice on pressing issues and problems of national interest.
Under E.O. No. 168, the newly reconstituted and revitalized Council of State shall be composed of the President as chairman with the following as members: the former presidents, the vice president, the Senate president, the Speaker of the House, the Senate president pro tempore, the deputy speakers of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the Senate majority floor leader, House majority floor leader, the Senate minority floor leader, House minority floor leader, the Executive Secretary and members of the Cabinet as designated by the President, other members of the Congress designated by the President, the presidents of the League of Provinces, the League of Cities and the League of Municipalities, representatives from the private sector to be appointed by the President, and such other persons as the President may appoint from time to time.
Under E.O. No.168, the Cabinet Secretariat will serve as the Secretariat of the Council of State.

Lumiliit na circle of friends ni GMA. It is maybe their LAST HURRAH. The Filipino people are ALREADY FED-UP with these TRAPOS!
Maybe this time a coup d’ etat would be most welcome by the people, just to put an end to these Trapo-Manipulators!
