For the second time in a month, the quarters of detained Army Maj. Jason Aquino in Camp Aguinaldo was burglarized.
Maria Fe Aquino, wife of Maj. Aquino, said she and her two daughters left the house at 12:30 p.m. today and found their bedroom ransacked when they came back at about 5 p.m.The window screen of their bathroom was torn.
A cellphone and jewelry were missing.
Maria Fe,who is seven months in the family way, refuse to believe that it’s simple theft and puts the blame on the military establishment. “They don’t play fair,” she said. She does not rule out the possibility that it’s part of the pressure being applied on her husband to break his spirit.
Maj. Aquino is one of the officers involved in the aborted February 2006 withdrawal of support from the Arroyo presidency. He has been in detention in Tanay for more than a year without having been charged in court, civilian or military.
Last Feb. 3, intruders also got into their quarters (Unit 668 on Arevalo street) and carted away a military-issued baby Armalite and a laptop computer, among other items. She reported it to the Camp Aguinaldo commander, Brig. Gen. Alfredo Cayton, who sent an investigating team but nothing came out of it.

Unbelievable that this can happen inside a well-guarded military base. Over in Japan, I know this kind of thing happens also inside the US bases, and the Japanese police more often than not are asked to help investigate the cases and if the culprit is a civilian dependent, usually the culprit is sent to the criminal court in Japan that can have jurisdiction over civilians inside the base. Otherwise, if the culprit is an enlisted officer and the victim is a fellow American, then, the case is sent to their own military court.
I have actually interpreted for a Filipino wife of an American serviceman long time who committed murder and robbery inside the base. The case was turned over to the civilian police, prosecutor’s office and the court in Japan.
What’s happened to the Aquinos apparently is a show of incompetence, immorality, graft and corruption of the first degree, etc. etc. as complained by the soldiers now in jail!!!
So, Fred Cayton is the commander in that base. He should resign together with Ass-Peron, et al. Maybe, Bakero should resign, too, for making those silly remarks about Joma Sison, the only remaining Filipino communist I am told who is now more “burgis” than communist!!!

Best is if the UNO candidates will make sure to plug in Alan’s middle name, too, to write in the ballots to make sure that the voters are voting for him and not for the other bogey guy. What is safest is to write his mother’s family name in the ballots likewise for no two persons can have the same first middle and surnames kung iba naman ang nanay!!!
This is apparently going to be the dirtiest and most ridiculous election yet dahil lang sa mga sakim at ganid na Pidal. Baka lang talagang gusto ni Tiyanak na magrebolusyon na ang mga pilipino para magdeklara siya ng state of emergency at Martial Law leading to her creation of some Enchanted Satanic Kingdom with her as queen!!! The incident could have been believed or rationalized as a simple robbery had it happened only once. But it happened twice.
Gen Cayton, in his statement during the previous incident, said that he received some reports that burglaries were done by ”children of soldiers” It was a sweeping and insulting statement against soldiers’ children living inside camp. There’s still no result of the previous incident and it happened again, the same quarters! What now? This is too much. This is not a simple robbery.
Whatever the motive is, the fact remains that there was a double burglary and still unsolved.
Gen Cayton is remiss of his job. It happened inside a camp where the generals and other officers are living. He can’t even guarantee the security inside camp. He must accept full responsibility of what happened and show to the rest that he is an officer and a gentleman by resigning his post irrevocably, Unless he opts to identify himself with the corrupt esperon and defames the honor and good reputation of his ancestors.
By the way, i heard that the new afpcig chief is col gupana (bata ni danga)–another loyal dog.
Boygee is very, very naughty! Hmmm… this sort of thing must not continue. Esperon’s offices are in Camp Aguinaldo; if Esperon allows this sort of thing to happen (Boygee is under HIS direct COMMAND), how can BGen Cayton do anything at all?

Dear Editor:
The heckling that occurred on military grounds when the name of Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr., AFP chief of staff, was mentioned by PMA Superintendent Maj. Gen. Leopoldo Maligalig, is symptomatic of the terrible malaise and the disintegration of respect for the highest ranking military officer in the Armed Forces.
It is absolutely unheard of for an AFP chief of staff to be heckled by his comrades-in-arms or even by their families during an official ceremony in the PMA; it is reminiscent of what transpired in military-led banana republics during the last century. Very, very worrisome indeed.
It is quite unfortunate that the graduating PMA cadets witnessed the heckling and lest they are led to believe that this kind of occurence within the military is par for the course, they should be told that in an ideal military world, this should never ever happen and that theirs, for the moment is a duty, to do or to die.
No AFP chief of staff should have taken the heckling that happened ON MILITARY GROUNDS sitting down. An officer with that rank, the highest in the AFP, could have been surgical had he possessed honor and self-respect. But Esperon has none of that.
Because Esperon cannot remotely pretend to being beyond reproach as an officer and commander, I am not surprised that neither he nor the rest of the AFP officers’ corps could do anything or react properly during the event.
General Esperon has brought nothing but shame to the position — he should resign.

This is why Assperon is hell bent to hang these incarcerated officers by hook or by crook! So, to the families of the incarcerated officers, have htis to say, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE COMMUNICATIONS YOU MAKE, THE PEOPLE YOU TALK TO, AND BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR LIVES AND THAT OF YOUR FAMILY. The burglary was an organized one. If not the isafp, then two intel units remain: afpcig and army intel (ISG)
Btw, gen cayton is doing nothing. The incident happened twice in a month’s time. He is still insisting that the suspects are ”soldiers’ children.” This is an insult to the enlistedmen living inside camp aguinaldo. Officers quarters are very far from the enlistedmen’s quarters.
Even if the buglary was done by “soldiers’ children”, maintaining security in teh camp is still Cayton’s responsibility.

What kind of statement is that? OK, so soldiers’ children ransacked an officer’s home while his pregnant wife was out. But is that any reason not to get them?
In the first place, if he’s so sure, then it would be easy to pick up “these children”, interrogate them and make them return the things they stole, put Major Aquino’s home back in order and force them to mow the lawn of every officer in the camp.
But I don’t believe Cayton – he’s contaminated with the lie virus. Either that or his brain is mashed like a potato.
This so-called 1-star general should be committed to either an asylum of imprisoned if he doesn’t solve the mystery of Maj Aquino’s home ransacking.

I heard over the radio DWIZ today that Joc-Joc Bolante is confirmed to run for congressman. He has a pending case at the Office of Ombudsman for alleged 726 million pesos fertilizer scam. In case he is deported, can the Senate order his arrest?

i have had a chance working with bgen fred cayton’s brother, then capt emmanuel cayton during our assignment with the 1st infantry division in busbus, jolo, sulu and if these were really uttered by the former, then he’s very far different from the kind of character the latter has. then capt emmanuel cayton ate in the same plate with us, drank in the same glass and slept in the same bed. he was an officer of few words but with a ready hand to offer whom every enlistedman will never hesitate to approach.
Cayton should either be sacked or demoted if he doesn’t come forward to present his so called children of soldiers who broke into Major Aquino’s home.
Unbelievable that Cayton should utter such baloney and allowed to get away with it!

The problem of the AFP is not exactly its junior officers.
They are good, idealistic and morally courageous but when they reach the top, they develop some kind of senior military autism.
Article of War 32 (not quite sure if it’s 32) makes it a crime for any officer not to report a crime or to give an illegal order.
In any military worthy of its name, Esperon would be facing several criminal charges already. But of course in Pinas, the more crimes he commits, the more he is rewarded by thieving, cheating and lying Gloria Pidal Arroyo.
