At President Cory's funeral

Statement issued by James Yap:

Marami na kaming dinaanang pagsubok ni Kris before and I don’t think na ngayon pa kami susuko.

President Kris in 2016?

She immediately took it back as a joke, but was it a deliberate leak?

Kris at "The Buzz"In her farewell interview in the showbiz talk-show, the Buzz, Kris Aquino said she may yet stage a comeback after her brother’s presidency. Or, she said,”“Who knows, with the help of science, I may still look good. But then again, six years from now, maybe I’m the one who’ll be sworn in.”

Realizing she had unleashed a mouthful, she quickly backtracked: “Joke lang. Baka may magalit na naman (Someone might get mad again).”

Kris Aquino admits end of marriage to James Yap

It’s game over for the Kris Aquino-James Yap marriage.

On ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” on Sunday, host Aquino declared: “This marriage is over on my part.”

News about the separation had been swirling the past week – after co-host Boy Abunda revealed Tuesday that Aquino failed to attend an event in Cebu due to marital problems.

Kris interviews Noynoy’s girlfriend, Shalani

From ABS-CBN online:

Shalani
Valenzuela 2nd District Councilor Shalani Soledad has opened up about her more than a year relationship with winning presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Soledad, 30, was interviewed exclusively by Noynoy’s youngest sister, Kris. During the interview, she shared details about their first meeting as well as her thoughts on her 50-year-old boyfriend’s remarks that marriage is not his priority right now.

The interview was aired on “The Buzz” Sunday.

Below is Kris’s full interview with Soledad.

Kris (K): Umpisahan natin from the very, very beginning. April 27, 1980, ‘yon ang birthday mo. Ano ang type of family ‘yong nakagisnan mo?

K: How many years older sa’yo ang brother mo?
S: Three years. I’m the youngest. Dalawa lang kami.

Ang drama ni Kris Aquino

Masyado namang OA si Kris Aquino noong linggo sa kanilang show ni Boy Abunda na “The Buzz”.

Anong problema niya?

The buzz is on.

Show biz celebrity Kris Aquino confronted a female fan of her husband, basketball star James Yap, shouting insults at the woman and her mother just outside their upscale Pasig City residence late Wednesday, the Inquirer learned Thursday.

The popular TV host and movie actress spent about 10 minutes at the gate of the Valle Verde 2 home of Mayen Austria, 35, according to Austria’s uncle, Gabby Lopez (no relation to the ABS-CBN chair).

Lopez said he was at the Austria residence and that the family was entertaining guests—including Legazpi City Bishop Joel Baylon—when Aquino arrived.

In Kris moving funeral mass speech, she related that her son Josh asked her brother, Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, “Please, Tito Noy, never get married.”

But Kris assured Noynoy not to worry, “Kung saan ka liligaya, pwede na rin.”

A source close to the Aquino family said Noynoy, 49, had brought to the already sick President Cory his girlfriend, Shalani Soledad.

Kris’ unspoken message: Arroyo not welcome

Her silence was so eloquent, the audience got the message clearly.

Kris Aquino-Yap, the celebrity youngest daughter of former President Corazon Aquino, was asked yesterday by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter Mario Dumaual if Gloria Arroyo would be welcomed if she came to the wake of their mother, now at the Manila Cathedral.

She kept quiet for about six seconds, which seemed eternity on TV. Then she said, “That’s a very difficult question.”

Pressed for an answer, she begged off saying, “Huwag mo na ako pilitin. Baka may masabi pa akong hindi maganda. (Please don’t compel me (to answer). I might say something not good.)
