Maria Flor “Pong” Querubin, wife of detained Marine Col. Ariel Querubin, said the announcement by AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon about a fresh coup plot against the administration is just another “desk intelligence report.”
“Gawa-gawa lang nila iyan. (That’s a fabrication) Every intelligence report has a corresponding intelligence operation. If there are intelligence operations there is a corresponding budget,” Querubin said in an interview with Anthony Taberna in ABS-CBN’s morning show, “Umaga, kay Ganda”.
Querubin’s husband is currently detained in a military detention facility in Camp Capinpin in Tanay, Rizal. Her husband is being accused of leading the failed coup plot against Mrs. Arroyo in February 2006.
The coup plot, labeled Oplan Hackle by the military, was supposed to be carried out in February to March 2006.
Mrs. Querubin said that the military alloted P60 million for intelligence operations on Oplan Hackle. “In Oplan Hackle, they used P60 million budget, but the truth is, [the coup plot] was only in papers, in computers,” she said.
Meanwhile, Marine Commandant Maj. Gen. Benjamin Dolorfino said in the same show that political personalities seeking change are behind a fresh destabilization plot against President Arroyo’s administration.
“I believe these are the personalities, political personalities, who want change, and most likely they have supporters within the ranks of the Armed Forces,” Dolorfino told ABS-CBN.
His revelation supported AFP chief of staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr.’s announcement that there are fresh recruitment efforts for the destabilization plot against the administration.
Esperon said the military discovered the plot after several soldiers told their superiors about the recruitment efforts.
“Too bad for them, our soldiers have been imbued with the idea that it is only through the chain of command that we should be performing our duties,” he said.
He said the coup recruiters have links to politicians and leftist groups seeking Mrs. Arroyo’s ouster.
Dolorfino, who was in Mindanao visiting Marines tasked to go after the Abu Sayyaf bandits, said military commanders are constantly reminding the troops to remain loyal to the Constitution and to the chain of command. “There are text messages from time to time, which I believe intends to sow intrigue in the Armed Forces,” he said.

General Esperon said in his speech this morning that a lady is complaining why the Marine detainees are being secured by the Army. He said that a composite security group are assigned in Tanay so the Army detainees are also secured by Marines… Well well Gen Esperon for your information, the marines are inside a high detention cell in Camp Capinpin of the Philippine Army 2nd Infantry Division headed now by MGen Delfin Bangit.
How come since February when the marines were transferred to Tanay from Cavite, the prisoners were under the Philippine Army Headquarters Support Group headed by Army Gen Morales? How come they follow Army rules, which are not even consistent with GHQ rules and policies? According to Gen Morales, they are inside an Army Camp so they follow Army rules. Army CG Tolentino was the one approving passes and giving orders. The Marine Generals and Navy Admirals have no say at all..
The composite security was only fully implemented this September. Before it was just for show that a few navy or air force personnel were assigned in Tanay but the one controlling was GEN ESPERON. Almost everything is being dictated by Gen Esperon. I blame this to the Navy FOIC Calunsag because he does not have the balls to stand by his men… During FOIC Mayuga’s time, it was a policy that MARINE detainees should be treated with respect and dignity for they are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Only an ASS would destabilize the country. I believe Mrs Querubin that the coup rumors are based on mere “desk intelligence report”. Like the boy who cried wolf, Esperon & his military dogs are just fabricating this whole coup plot for money. If 60 Million Pesos was the budget for Oplan Hackle, I wonder how much the budget for this absurd gimmick of the Ass.

Here we go again – Haemorrhoid Assperon has ordered the deployment of additional troops to Metro Manila to augment the 3,000-strong National Capital Region Command and thwart possible coup attempts – what a Liar he is. Haemorrhoid Assperon is one of the main culprits of detsabilization just to earn a buck on the backs of the people.
Coupled with the fact that the majority of the Cabinet Members turned up uninvited at the Senate Hearing “to give support” to a Secretary desperate to justify a questionable deal with ZTE – plus Secretary Neri’s failure to attend to explain his claim that there was an attempt to bribe him for 200 Million Peso connected to the ZTE deal – plus we have yet to see the attendane of Chairman Abalos to explain allegations of bribary by him to the tune of $10 Million – not withstanding that Mike Arroyo suddenly flies off (not backs off!) on a Cathay Pacific flight gives reason to think that this Arroyo administration is in panic, and rightly so.

The good thing that came out of this recent kukurukkukkuk of Gloria was that the people totally ignored Asspweron’s very loud noise trumpeting another coup. Iyan lang ay dapat na silang magplano ng immediate exit dahil wala na palang takot sa balitang coup. Hahahah!

In short, may sira talaga yata sa ulo ang Assperon na ito kasi para itong sirang plaka na ang panakot sa mga pilipino destabilization daw laban kay Gloria na gawa-gawa nila para to generate sympathy sa amo niya. Teka, malabo yata ang sinabi!
In the military, it’s easy to produce money especially if you are a commander or an intel officer:
first, you have to invent ‘convincing’stories. Destab is a good one.
second, make a proposal (project proposal)
third, approval.
fourth, you’ll be alloted a budget.
lastly, you have to produce a ‘fall guy’
all expenses/disbursement will then be justified and liquidated.

Per info from intel community, Operation Hackle was conceptualized by rouge army intel officers led by Cols Segovia, Pangilinan and Ano that’s why ISAFP was very furious because they were being sidelined.
To add more ‘credence’ to their operation, they entitled it Hackle means Hammer and Sickle–which they claimed magdalo-cpp/npa alliance. Hurrah!
