Detained Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV said Thursday he is willing to present three witnesses to two of his colleagues who doubted his claims that the government was behind the Makati mall blast that killed 11 people and injured scores of others.
Trillanes urged Senate Majority Leader Francis Pangilinan and Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan to meet him so that he can present these witnesses to them.
He earlier said these witnesses could prove that National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Hermogenes Esperon Jr. masterminded last Friday’s deadly blast at Glorietta 2 mall in Makati City. He even said the witnesses were people connected to Gonzales.
He said his main witness who is a member of an alleged special operations team of Gonzales whose task is to conduct “special operations project to create a certain scenario.”
He said the two other witnesses are willing to come out and corroborate the statement of his main witness.
He also urged Honasan and Pangilinan to immediately conduct a Senate inquiry on the explosion. He also dismissed the police investigation in the blast as a “cover-up.” The detained senator said it aims to hide the truth from the public.
Trillanes, who is facing coup charges for the short-lived Oakwood mutiny in 2003, made this statement when he attended a hearing Thursday at a Makati Regional Trial Court. He is detained in the Marine brig in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City.
Honasan had scored Trillanes for making accusations against the Arroyo administration without proof. Pangilinan, on the other hand, said the detained senator should present his evidence first before the Senate could start an inquiry on his allegations.
Despite the criticism, however, Trillanes remained resolute, saying the witnesses told him about the government’s role in the blast.
He said the explosion was meant to veer public attention away from the bribery allegations hurled against the Arroyo administration.
Earlier, Trillanes’s camp said the Glorietta explosion was similar to “Oplan Greenbase,” which allegedly included in its plan the bombing of the Davao international airport and the Sasa wharf in 2003.
It was allegedly planned to pass the blame on the armed separatist group Moro Islamic Liberation Front in the hope of driving it away from Liguasan marsh where a project of the government is located.
“Oplan Greenbase” was also one of the issues disclosed by junior officers involved in the failed 2003 Oakwood mutiny. The Magdalo soldiers alleged that the plan was executed to justify government’s declaration of a state of emergency.
Trillanes has filed a resolution urging the Senate committee on public order and illegal drugs to investigate the Glorietta blast.
Meanwhile, Director General Avelino Razon Jr., chief of the Philippine National Police, urged Trillanes to present his witnesses to the authorities and “cooperate with us.”
He said investigators are still not discounting the possibility that a bomb could have caused the explosion despite initial findings showing that the accumulated gas in the mall’s basement caused the blast. With radio dzMM

Trillanes has given out a clue as to who and where these witnesses can be located by saying that they are part of Mang Berto’s group. I wish he hadn’t.
So now Mang Berto and Assperon will set their hounds to sniff these witnesses out. Never to be heard from again. Or perhaps appear but only to deny or concoct another fairy tale against Trillanes.
Can’t be too careful when dealing with the Cloak and Dagger Twins. They’re capable of rounding up witnesses’ families as hostages.

One thing sure is marunong nang lumaban si Trillanes. Hindi nila basta-basta mauuto ang isang ito. That is for sure. On a gasoline theory it has 4 gases properties after the combustion, HC-hydrocarbon, CO-carbon monoxide,O2- oxygen and NOX-nitrogen of oxide.-It produce HC when too much air and less gas. CO too much fuel not enough air.O2 is produce on a complete combustion precess and NOX is a result of too much heat on the combustion.

if this was a terror attack, i would say it is the npa. do a google search and discover the fact that globe cell sites are attacked about 30 to 1 times more often than smart. it is a well known fact that ayala’s corporate policy is never to pay revolutionary taxes, whereas smart pldt apparently does, else how can we explain the wide disparity? moreover, if the rdx detection is ever shown to be true, please note that rdx is most commonly used in land mines. of all combatant groups here only the npa even possesses land mines and to deflect int’l condemnation of land mines, they insist they only use remote control land mines. in other words they never cause “collateral damage” since all their land mines are exploded intentionally. perhaps UK embassy and Ayala have shared extortion letters from the npa, and by not paying up again they have been punished for it by this blast.
having said that, the methane-diesel fume gas explosion seems to fit the main facts that no one denies: no fire in the mall, no bomb crater, no black smoke, no widespread residues of rdx, ammonium nitrate, gunpowder, tnt, etc.
regarding the UP political engineering professors, they are right that liquid diesel does not explode. it has to be atomised. most accidental gas explosions around the world occur in mines where methane gas and coal dust make for a deadly mixture. diesel fumes, such as would mix with methane if liquid diesel is heated to evaporation approximates coal+methane quite well thank you.

Methane will burn first in the container before it explode. There was no fire at Glorieta and thick smoke,Di ba? Maybe, you can conduct your experiment to prove the theory of explosion. This is what I learned in the Lab conducting experiment. Fill the can with methane gas and then place it on the top of the retort stand. Light the stream of methane that is emitted from the top of the can and don’t forget to stand back for your safety. The flame will burn for a time depending on the size of the can, getting smaller and smaller until it disappears into the can causing the gas air mixture inside to explode. Methane is less dense than air and escapes from the top hole, as the interior of the container must stay at atmospheric pressure, air is drawn in through the hole at the bottom. When the mixture inside that is escaping at that time, reaches an explosive mixture, the flame goes in the can and the contents blow up. That’s the theory of methane explosion.
