Yahhhhhooooooooooo!!! Like CVJ, I, too, say, Thank God!

What a relief! If ever the Lopezes paid the ransom, it is well worth it! Ces is so invaluable to lose in the journalism industry. Whatever money they paid, consider this as a talent fee because for sure, Ces will have a lot of stories to tell! To the young abductors, use your loot to change your life! Go to school. Leave the hell hole you are in. It is never too late. You guys can not be forever used by the puppeteers without being killed one day! And to the orchestrators of this kidnapping, you may be millions richer but one of these days you will end up like Akbar!

  4. parasabayan parasabayan

Until Ces and company are out of Sulu, I will keep on praying. When they are finally in their homes, then I can rejoice!

  5. bitchevil bitchevil

Ces is a very good talker. She might have lectured and convinced some of those young bandits to change for the better. Whether ransom was paid or not, it doesn’t matter now. I’m sure there was monetary consideration. These bandits would not release them so easily after so many days without receiving anything in return. What’s next? Would the Military now seek these bandits and eliminate them? If there’s silence from the AFP and government, then your guess is as good as mine as to why…

  6. bitchevil bitchevil

If indeed P15M was paid for their release, it’s not difficult to recover the amount. ABS-CBN can run a documentary on the incident with lots of interested advertisers. Ces could also write a book that sells like hot cake. The earnings could reach double the amount paid. What makes me so curious was the PNP’s announcement that Ces would be released within 24 hours and now it was reported to be true. How did PNP know?

  7. Mike Mike

    Bitchevil,

If you may allow me, your question as to why the PNP knew that Ces & Co. would be released w/in 24 hours… my guess is, when they announced it, the hostages were actually released already. Based on what I’ve read in the latest news. Ces and Co. had to walked 5 hours from where they were dropped off by the bandits before gov’t forces picked them up.
What’s interesting to note is that Sen. Loren Legarda (whose name was never mentioned during the whole crisis) was actually one of those who had helped (or tried to help) in securing the release of the hostages. This was confirmed in a joint statement made by the victim’s family and ABS CBN.

  8. bitchevil bitchevil

Another plus propaganda for Loren Legarda. She was also instrumental in the release of that Arlyne de la Cruz. How Loren’s name came up all of a sudden is a puzzle.

  9. dandaw dandaw

The other day it was published by Malaya that EXXON Oil will drill in Sulu. How many will be kidnapped there you think. I wonder where the ransom money will go. Another lucrative job by the PNP.

  10. Valdemar Valdemar

I see those young boys as the future of our country. Most if not all of the politicians there were at one time or another like those boys and even worst. And we dont even look far. We have the military and policemen in our midst kidnapping and killing. And all such boys make our world go round to keep people like Ces, Arlyn, etc on their toes while some of us chose sides. More often, we dont add anything, just keep the status quo. That fiasco is now history. Watch for the next one soon.

  11. myrna myrna

while i am happy that Ces and company had been released by their captors, still i cannot help but entertain the thought that this kidnapping would not stop. the question is, what can be done to prevent occurrences of this kind in the future?

worse is when ransom payments in millions are involved? whose money is spent to pay the ransom? gloria’s? if it is gloria’s or this government’s, those are bloody taxpayers money being squandered just to make those bastards happy and contented!

what can be done? i would be more grateful to those bastards if the next targets they have in their list are gloria, bunye, gonzales and even neri! even if they hold them hostage, who cares? they can have them for breakfast, lunch, and supper for all we care!!!!

  12. hk_ofw hk_ofw

Thank God and they’re now in good hands but I’m just wondering, was it really the abusayaf who kidnapped them? parand di kapanipaniwala na pinalaya na lng sila ng ganoon ganoon lang. di kaya gobyerno din kumidnap? ABS cbsn ay kalaban ng gobyerno. I remember me nabanggit na yong nagdala sa kanila eh military asset daw.

  13. bitchevil bitchevil

Please take note that the PNP was quick to announce that Ces would be released within 24 hours. Unless one Abu Sayyaf member is arrested, we’re not sure if indeed the kidnappers are Abu Sayyaf. They could be military men in civilian clothes or former Muslim rebels who joined the government.

  14. bitchevil bitchevil

There’s a report that Ces and her group shall be presented to GMA. If I were Ces, I would decline it. It’s AFP-PNP-Malacanang staged kidnapping to improve the sinking image of GMA. This theory is bolstered by the quickness of the release. Otherwise, huge ransom could have been paid. Who paid the ransom money is another question we all won’t be able to know. If there’s no giver and receiver to admit and the hostages refuse to reveal the truth, the public will never know…

    18 JUne 2008

    Well all said and done.

But wait!!! will the lopezes allow ces drilon and his cameraman, jimmy encarnacion be presented to the LEPRECHAUN in RED, who is staying at the stinking palace???

I raised this because any jane’s/dick’s and harry’s, if you people notice, al the ass lickers want to present them to the leprechaun for photo ops, and as they say ganda(???) (instead of pogi) points.

Beat that people. everything remains to be seen. hehehehehehe……..

  16. Gabriela Gabriela

  17. bitchevil bitchevil

P15 Million is nothing considering the amount of funds GMA has in her disposal. We would know if Malacanang paid for it if Ces sings a different tune when she returns to her work; that is, if she starts praising Malacanang.

  18. rose rose

Thank God…they are safe. But why the homage to the cheat? To thank her? for what? Gloria Ma Arte talaga!

  19. I don’t think Ces is going to see GMA.

  20. bitchevil bitchevil

Yes, I don’t think Ces would go…but preparation is ongoing for them to be presented to GMA.

  21. parasabayan parasabayan

Ellen, dapat lang HINDE! Otherwise my whole respect for her will go to ZERO!

Ano naman ang role ni Loren? Baka naman pangpabango lang ito not only for the evil bitch but also Loren who will be running for the presidency and she is rumored to maybe even run under the evil bitches’ banner, sabi da!

  22. parasabayan parasabayan

Ellen, is the professor freed yet? If not, we should not really be rejoicing yet. There is still one life to pray for.

  23. Mike Mike

Ces might not want to see GMA but we’ll never know. Maybe people around her (who ever they are) to whom she couldn’t say no to might ask and insist her to go.
As for Loren, well, lets give credit where it’s due. Ces, during a press con was sitting beside Legarda and was thanking her profusely. I would like to think that Loren did so because she wanted to really help a friend and former colleague. But what I can’t be sure of is whether she is going to use this incident for her campaign if she decides to run in the 2010 elections. But my guess is she will… and might even ask Ces to endorse her. Not far fetch huh.

  24. Valdemar Valdemar

Razon was calling the shots as if he knew something prior to the ‘release’.

Elementary, Mr. Watson, Tintin is at the police school. But how in heaven Loren got into the picture?

    # Valdemar Says:

    June 11th, 2008 at 7:10 am

    PSB,
Your hired goons line reminds me of what Tintin or her group on the steak commando mentioned as they go back discussing the EDSA 1. They had armed groups from the south ready to be called upon when necessary or somethng to that effect. I saw she was very close with an erstwhile governor there. Loren should do something about those goons if they are used now.

  25. Ellen,

I wonder how much bed and breakfast fees were paid for the victims to be able to check out…

    My thoughts:

    1. I will not believe that no ransom money was paid even if Gloria swore to high heavens nothing was paid

    2. I suspect Dolforino (through his family there) of being in on the take (and if he wants to charge me in court for libel, he’s free to do so but I’ll take him to court here too, at least here, we have the rule of law.)

    3. Whoever got paid “bed and breakfast money” for the victims to be released will now have lots of money to buy weaponry so they could use to behead the next batch of Marines, etc.

And so forth and so on. (Won’t be polite for me to print my thoughts here…)

  26. For those who don’t know, Ces and Loren are good friends from way back. Even before both were newshens at ABS-CBN. Loren and Ces are Sigma Deltans (Sorority of the elite Upsilon Sigma Phi) that I used to see them together frequently at the Upsilon Tambayan even as Loren has graduated ahead of Ces.

  27. norpil norpil

    what happened to the kidnappers.

  28. bitchevil bitchevil

I join the millions who rejoice Ces’ release. I have only one advice for her: Continue to seek for truth and justice. Continue to be critical of the government. I say this because
Ces is very thankful and grateful to the government. That was among her first statements. What if she later finds out the government has a role in her kidnap? Why are those bandits as young as 12 carrying firearms? Certainly, the government has neglected them.

  29. bitchevil bitchevil

Words are out that a Meralco plane brought P15M to Sulu for the release of Ces. Meralco and ABS-CBN are sister companies.
The go between was Sen. Loren Legarda. Let them all deny it; but that’s the latest report.

  30. andres andres

Sorry to disrupt the party, but from what I know, Ces is not a good person. I know people from ABS CBN who say that she a bad attitude. Who knows, she might have been kidnapped with consent so that she can be popular. The Abus are too willing because it is free propaganda.

Sorry to be against the view, but that friend of mine from ABS really swears that she is not a good person.

  31. Valdemar Valdemar

    bitchevil,
    Its 20M system loss yon.

  32. bitchevil bitchevil

Andres, that’s what I heard too about Ces. She’s not friendly…arrogant. Good thing she now smiles on TV. Before, I didn’t see her smile a lot. But I don’t care…as long as she continues to be critical of Malacanang.

Of course, tsismis. Pero if its the same tsismis with all the other female news hosts, duda na ako diyan.

  34. bitchevil bitchevil

Korina and Loren, yes…bad attitude too. But I can’t say the same thing to Karen and Tintin.

  35. Valdemar Valdemar

In the interview, Ces noted that boys of twelve are armed to the teeth. They can afford it. They had ROTC (rebel officers’ training corp) hands on traing early. I think they are better than our kids here who only hold toy guns and evade any military training. I saw on the TV the sleek French police and soldiers on a parade lately. What I saw their war pieces include gleaming bayonets in place that is deterrent or neutralize the head shuddering cutters of the Muslim terrorists.

  36. Valdemar Valdemar

    Bitchevel, Tongue,
What do you mean their bad attitudes?

  37. Valdemar Valdemar

  38. andres andres

    tongue-twisted,

Yes, i can attest that Ces is a bitchy woman. I’ve been with her in a gathering together with my friend from ABS. I have witnessed how she talks about other people and how she praises herself. I had a first hand experience, so its not chismis. She has a superiority complex, feeling niya siya ay angat at lahat tayo walang binatbat. She is a primadonna just like most of the ABS-CBN news crew, but I think she is the worst of all.

And you can see the sincerity of a person when you look at her face and her eyes, i don’t see it in Ces.

  39. bitchevil bitchevil

Ces is a product of Maryknoll and UP…hence, the know-it-all mentality. All throughout the event, no mention of her husband was made; only her mom and kids. Is she separated? How is she related to former Senator Drilon?

  40. Well, at least, she is alive. Isn’t that what we prayed for here? Whatever happened to her, as a journalist, her experience would be a good thing to talk about in her program. Hopefully, she was not raped while in captivity, and that she would be truthful in her report, with or without the ransom asked.

  41. “Sulu negotiators in Drilon kidnapping face raps,” says an Inquirer report. Huhummmmmm! Lumang tugtugin. Could be the mayor and his son, et al are being blamed for this kidnapping so that they could not talk and after a hitch maybe in the amount of money he agreed with the crooks in the government involved in this staged kidnapping for some pogi points for the wannabe queen of Mindanao. Me? Sawang-sawa na!

  42. bitchevil bitchevil

If she was raped, would she tell? She’s the only woman in the group composed of very young bandits in their teens whose desires could be uncontrollable. I presume other female hostages in the past, local and foreign, were sexually abused.
No one would admit and no one dares to ask.

  43. cvj cvj

    @Grizzy (11:51am), i agree. Let’s count our blessings.

  44. bitchevil bitchevil

Oh my God! Raul Gonzalez said the recent kidnapping could be the work of ABS-CBN’s Lopezes to cover up the Meralco issue. This old shit is really out of his mind. I think his kidney was transplanted at his head.

  45. Chabeli Chabeli

    Bitchevil,

Really ?! The Old Fart said that ??? If so, I agree with that “..his kidney was transplanted at his head.”

  46. bitchevil bitchevil

This was exactly quoted from a news item:

In another forum, Gonzalez took a jab at the Lopez-owned Manila Electric Company, saying that there is a possibility that the kidnapping of Drilon, her cameramen Jimmy Encarnacion and Angelo Valderama, and Mindanao State University professor Octavio Dinampo was meant to cover up the Meralco controversy.

“It’s a far-fetched idea. It’s a wild theory, but it could be a possibility. You just can’t dismiss it,” he said during a news forum in Quezon City.

  47. andres,
You don’t judge a person after one chance meeting. We went to the same school for years. Superiority complex? If you graduate from an elite school, become member of an elite sorority, and work for the biggest media company and appear on tv everyday, you are elite! Sheesh.

  48. norpil norpil

for me it does not really matter what kind of person ces is. she is the victim and not the offender. what is important is she is a good journalist putting her work first before anything else. she also learned a lesson on that. but what about the kidnappers, have they learned something? they are probably laughing on their way to the bank and scheming on the next victim. why can’t they kidnap politicians or police officers who donot do their jobs. there are a lot of them in pinas.

  49. chi chi

    Agree, Norpil.

  50. bitchevil bitchevil

Norpil, check the latest development. There were pictures showing the Mayor and the others counting the ransom money in his house. The report was that the family of Ces paid ransom and the Mayor pocketed most of it. ABS-CBN could have paid additional money because the plane that delivered two bags of money is owned by the company of Lopez. From the beginning to now, they keep denying ransom was paid saying there’s a “no ransom” policy. You would argue: So what if ransom was paid?
Well, my point is they should stop lying and call a spade a spade!

  51. chi chi

    Tongue,

Often, they have to project someone they are not, iba kasi ang broadcast lalo na ang small screen.

Some bloggers who have already met Ellen in person will attest to this. Remember Gokusen? Hoy, where are you na pala?!

  52. bitchevil bitchevil

No kidnapper would think of kidnapping Ellen (heaven forbids) because she’s poor. Even if all the bloggers here chip in for the ransom money, the most we could raise is P1,000. Kidding aside, journalists have lots of risks. I also pity those who are covering warn torn areas. Many have already been killed.
I prefer to see corrupt journalists get kidnapped. Oh yes, there are many corrupt journalists…

  53. andres andres

    Tongue,

Sheesh indeed! That is the kind of lingo the elites use! You hit it right on the spot!

    Sheesh!!!

  54. andres andres

    Tongue,

Why don’t you ask the backroom people from ABS if what i am saying is true or not.

  55. bitchevil bitchevil

Andres, let’s not be judgmental. But, I also heard what you said about her. I got friends in ABS-CBN.

  56. andres andres

    bitchevil,

Sorry for that. I was just sharing a first hand info kasi, then this Tongue reacted violently eh. Almost all of us here naman share the same direction, that is to get rid of the Evil Bitch so that our country can really move forward already.

  57. bitchevil bitchevil

Andres, Tongue should be open tongue not open minded…he, he.
