All of GMA’s actions these days are intended to extend her power after 2010. We only have to see the kind of people she appoints and its frequency as if judgment day is soon to come.
We can shout as loud as we can but she doesn’t care. It’s still up to us…the people, if we continue to allow her to do all these things.

  4. Just sharing. I subscribe to the ICH and I get this kind of quotes. Nice to keep in the file:
“We kill at every step, not only in wars, riots, and executions. We kill when we close our eyes to poverty, suffering, and shame. In the same way all disrespect for life, all hard-heartedness, all indifference, all contempt is nothing else than killing. With just a little witty skepticism we can kill a good deal of the future in a young person. Life is waiting everywhere, the future is flowering everywhere, but we only see a small part of it and step on much of it with our feet.” : – Hermann Hesse, German poet and novelist.

“…most men have bound their eyes with one or another handkerchief, and attached themselves to some one of these communities of opinion. This conformity makes them not false in a few particulars, authors of a few lies, but false in all particulars. Their every truth is not quite true. Their two is not the real two, their four not the real four; so that every word they say chagrins us, and we know not where to begin to set them right”: Ralph Waldo Emerson – Self Reliance – 1841 – From ‘Essays”, First series

“He who would do good” wrote William Blake, “must do so in minute particulars. General good is the plea of the scoundrel, the hypocrite and the liar.” It is also the plea of most political ideologues who do not hesitate, and often in the name of “the People”, to persecute in minute particulars for the sake of the general good. “: Extract from Jeremy Taylor’s Book – Ag Pleez Deddy – a South African musician

More power to you Mr. Villa-Ignacio. In a game of poker you have the four aces and the wild card!

Are we going to allow Gloria to get away with Cha Cha and extend her reign indefinitely?

    from the Tilamsik’s yahoo-article link:

Senators Loren Legarda and Manuel “Mar” Roxas, meanwhile, said they would show up because they want to know if President Arroyo has a “long-term solution” for the food crisis plaguing the country today.

mukhang ito ang ibig nang dalawa:
    Baka
    Ikaw
    Gloria
    Ang
    Sagot…

  9. Bayan has estimated 15,000 protesters during the SONA. The rest can show their disgust by switching off their electricity for an hour or two or for how long the idiot will deliver her useless speech.

As for Legarda, et al, can’t understand the mentality of idiots who still believe that the Super-idiot has something to say! Sick is more like it!

  10. BIGAS— Baka Ikaw Gloria Ang Salot!!! Bwahahahahaha! Sakit ng tiyan ko! 🙂

    Tongue, Salamat!

Truth is desperado ang ungas. She has instructed Philippine embassies to open accounts for donations to the victims of Frank even after a month since the destruction wrought by that typhoon. ‘Lol as in ulol!

  12. mlm18_corpuz mlm18_corpuz

  13. eddfajardo eddfajardo

Ako man Ellen, pika ako sa mga antics nitong si Dennis Villa-ignacio at the height of Erap’s trial. I am not a lawyer pero sa aking observation, ang kanyang mga reasoning ay sabi pa nga ni Atty. Flaminiano, “out of this world.” Bubo daw nga ito as a prosecutor.

  14. bitchevil bitchevil

It was Villa Ignacio who prosecuted and convicted Erap. It’s another battle of the evils.

  15. ASSUMING there will be 2010 elections, who is your favorite “Presidentiable” candidate?

  16. Breaking news but Pierce Brosnan is said to have won the automated mock polls in Mindanao.

The Comelec spokesperson na James Jimenez daw, whatever his title is, was bragging about the fast results daw made with some counting machine that he is promoting apparently to be used in the August 11 ARMM election.

Buti sana if we can trust this daya government but we cannot. Anything this government of the dorobo does should in fact be subject to doubt and scrutiny.

Yuck!

  17. bitchevil bitchevil

Unless there’s a better candidate, I pick Ping Lacson. I just hope he doesn’t pick Jamby Madrigal as his running mate. A Lacson-Trillanes team would be awesome!

  18. Equalizer:

Kung ako ang tatanungin, gusto ko si Trillanes but he is too young. Cannot qualify daw. Si Senator Pimentel naman, over-age na. Bagong mukha, wala ba?

  20. Some people would want us to believe that we need a particular stereotype for the Presidency. Someone who has a strong political party, experience in getting things done in the bureaucracy, a well-oiled machinery, and a bottomless war chest. If we subscribe to this, that means we must pick someone from among the trapos (traditional politicians) as nobody can get something done in this government if he isn’t an expert in wheeling and dealing, patronage politics, and compromise – bottomline, he/she must dance with the devil, be a devil, but make it a point to attend Sunday mass regularly (with photo ops). Just take a look at Among Ed, he is the governor but the mayors are not cooperating with him (they prefer the jueting lord’s spouse).
Is this what we really want? Is this what we deserve? Unfortunately it takes a lot of money to convince people, to win votes, and even when you win, it needs a lot of money to get the cooperation of the congressmen, senators, governors, mayors, barangay captains, barangay tanods, and barangay tagays.
If we really want change, we have to take a big leap of faith, and bet on someone who was spared of all these bad influence, and stay true to his/her principles. Then again, do we really want change? are we willing to pay the price instead of waiting to get paid for our decisions?

  21. mlm18_corpuz mlm18_corpuz

  22. bitchevil bitchevil

Binay is okay but he’s only popular in Metro Manila. I prefer him to run as Senator first. Many disagree Erap running again; but if the opposition fails to unite, he’s the choice of the people. All he needs is to pick a good running mate; and then share his term. Erap takes the first three years and then hand it to his running mate. Such arrangement would be more acceptable to the opposition with some who are ambitious to be President. Erap has nothing to prove. He has served the country well. He just needs to unite the opposition and the country in his first three years. And of course makes sure that the criminals in Malacanang be prosecuted.

  23. chi chi

Ehe! Naiinggit yata si “kuya”? Heheh!

  25. chi chi

So, ano ang masasabi ni Chiz Escudero na mas “comfortable” siya sa 2 years na nalalabi ni Gloria? Hahaha!

Ang dapat gawin ni Chiz ay mag-lead ng rally against her ninang Korap at matsupi sa iligal na trono. Then and only then baka meron pa siyang oportunidad na maging presidente. For life ang gusto ni Gloria, hindi pa ba naiintindihan iyan ng mga oposisyon na naghihintay ng 2010? Manigas kayo na nakatunganga sa 2010!

  26. chi chi

  27. chi chi

    The Equalizer,

What about you, who’s your “presidentiable” assuming 2010 will still come?

  28. chi chi

I will support bichevil tandem with all my heart and effort.

  29. eddfajardo eddfajardo

Ang best bet ko ay si Erap at kung papayag si Ninez Cacho-Olivares being the Veep, unbeatable ito. Mga senador: Roilo Golez, Rufus Rodriguez, Jejomar Binay, Imee Marcos, JV Ejercito, Armida Siguion Reyna, Edward Hagedorn, Harry Roque, Gemma Cruz-Araneta, Amina Rasul, Rolex Suplico and Darlene Antonino.

  30. bitchevil bitchevil

Your Senatorial line up is okay. But, Armida is old and Imee seems to have grown tired of politics happily married to a rich foreigner. JV won’t run as Senator if his half brother Jinggoy is at the Senate. JV might if Jinggoy runs for Vice President.

  31. chi chi

Only Harry Roque and Jojo Binay are oks with me.

  33. bitchevil bitchevil

Ellen could be the Press Secretary or Presidential Adviser on Media Affairs.

  34. Edd,

Di ako puedeng maging ambassador of the Philippines to Japan, kasi hapon ako. Puede honorary consul siguro, but I don’t need to be one to be able to help Filipinos in distress in Japan or even at home. Kung gustong tumulong, puede naman because the truth is God always provides.

Tell you what, when I got my inheritance, I started spending some of my money on charity, but still I asked the Lord above to help me have more to enable me to do all the things I need to do to help ease the burdens of my fellow spirit children of God. Two weeks after I prayed to God, miraculously, I got a phone call from the Ministry of Health telling me that the group fighting for compensation for victims of some pharmaceutical mistakes and malpractice won their case. I was included in the case as I was one of those who suffered from it.

I was paid a pretty good sum of money that will allow me to do all my charities with objective to follow what God want me to do, go where the Lord wants me to go, and say what God wants me to say. In addition I get a monthly stipend that will insure me a life of comfort until I die even when I don’t work.

That’s why I don’t hesitate to help when I feel strongly about it. And all the time, the people I concentrate on helping with God at the center of it succeeds against all odds especially when we are the same in mind and spirit of doing only what is good!

I don’t need to be in politics in fact. I have joined a political party here, though, to be close to the people I know can influence parliamentarians in our Diet, and get things I want done right like for instance the stopping of ODA to the dorobo government. My husband supports another political party and that actually make things much, much workable and better. It’s how I intend to help the land of my birth even when frankly speaking, I don’t owe the Philippines anything. I just want to be proud of it someday.

  35. bitchevil bitchevil

Charity is the pure love of Christ…

  36. Sinabi mo pa BD. It is not feigned nor bragged about. It just actually just happens.

I love what Paul said about charity, “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.(1 Cor. 13)

  37. chi chi

  38. bitchevil bitchevil

I agree, Grizzy. Without charity or the pure love of Christ whatever else we accomplish matters little.

  39. eddfajardo eddfajardo

  40. Edd,

I am not a Catholic myself. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints, and I try to live my religion everyday of my life, no hypocrisy, etc. if I can help it.

  41. bitchevil bitchevil

Edd, your sad experience about your two aunties who had children with the Parish Priest was not an isolated case. It has happened in the past and happening everywhere. Here comes the Catholic priests very much against the Population Control and yet see what they do. Edd, you can lose respect for the Catholic Church but don’t forget the Bible. The Bible is the only words of God but the Catholic Church is not the only church.

  42. chi chi

    edd,

Even if I knew that priests commit such act, I’m still having goose bumps. Sabi nga ay “it takes two to tango”.

  43. bitchevil bitchevil

Now you know why we have many mestizos and mestizas in the Philippines today. Many are the fruits of those Spanish Friars and Priests in the past.

  44. BD,

If you dig into the archives in Spain, etc., you will know that a lot many of the friars, et al, who went to the Philippines and other territories of Spain were fugitives from the law, and a lot of them have sought asylum/sanctuary in the churches there.

  45. bitchevil bitchevil

Do you guys believe in Apostasy? After Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension to heaven, His apostles continued to teach His doctrine and direct His Church by receiving revelation from Christ. After His apostles were killed, people began to change His teachings, and although some truth remained, there was a general falling away from the truth, called the apostasy, and Christ’s church was taken from the earth. Could it be the Catholic Church which changed Christ’s teachings? Pardon me, I’m just asking…

  46. edd,

Unfortunately priests are also human, and they fall into sin just like all of us. No one is spared, no religion, or faith can say they have 0% incidence of leaders sinning or followers for that matter. Faith generally exists as a personal relationship with God, whoever you perceive him to be. No people can say that collectively they are pure, righteous, or faultless (except the Aryan race before). Leaders rise and fall, depending on the circumstances…Even our great biblical leaders like Saul, David, and Solomon, they all fell short…
Religion is a very dangerous concept, as it can turn men against each other…we must vigilantly look at the hearts of men, their motives, and the means they intend to reach their ends…if its not driven by LOVE, beware, hatred begets hatred, even unbridled zeal can hide despotism.
Even in this present situation, we need to ask ourselves if we are driven by hatred towards the catholic priests? hatred towards Gloria? or Love for our country? are we willing to destroy everything else just so we can get rid of these characters or search our hearts as to what we really want? If our desired end is just to get rid of Gloria by all possible means, think again, are we ourselves being used?

  47. Yes, the priests are just humans, and they are subject to the temptation of the devil and to sin. At least, over in our church, when a member of the Bishopric commits a terrible sin, he is removed from his position, and even from the church rooster (excommunication) if he has committed a really terrible sin against God and the church.

What differs our church likewise from the others is that we do not have have paid ministers in our church. Church work is more a service to God than a job being called “service to God” even when they are in fact the only beneficiaries of for which the Pope is now being made to apologize everywhere he goes.

I cannot understand likewise how they can tolerate those priests committing fornication, and admitting they are gays and having sex with their fellow gays when the Bible is very explicit in forbidding same-gender sex as when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and defined the role of men and women (Matt. 19:5, Mark 10:7).

  48. Sorry for the garbled English above, but the following should read:

….if he has committed a really terrible sin against God and the church like the sexual abuses on children for which the Pope is now being made to apologize wherever he goes.

…only beneficiaries of what they do.

  49. chi chi

“Yes, the priests are just humans” but they should know better or conduct themselves better than the ordinary followers because priesthood is their vocation.

  50. Yes, the guilty priests should be made to pay for what they did. Human or not, we have laws…

  51. bitchevil bitchevil

Being human is not an excuse to repeatedly commit sins. These priests must practice what they preach. How can they take care of the flock if they themselves are blind? How can a blind guide another blind? These hypocrites shall face the final judgment. The final judgment is a part of God’s plan of salvation.

  52. This “How can a blind guide another blind?” reminds me of the Filipino song, “Dito po sa amin, bayan San Roque, may nagkatuwaan, apat na pulubi. Nagsayaw ang pilay, umawit ang pipi, nanood ang bulag, nakinig ang bingi!” Love that song, really!

  53. bitchevil bitchevil

These priests being humans can still repent. They must confess to God and ask for forgiveness.

  54. Like edd here, I also had a strange experience of the uncanny appeal of priests to women having lost a girlfriend to one. At the time I really believe they had all this supernatural appeal that makes women throw themselves at their feet against their own will. I mean, why would any girl with half a brain choose a priest over me? Of course, the robed one was mestizo with a spanish family name at that, kinda tall, delivers superb homilies in perfect English and smells nice (or so I was told).
I became very judgmental with priests then and stopped going to mass altogether…until I met someone else and realized not all priests are predators and not all girls are enamored to priests…

  55. When I was a little girl, a friend of my sister and cousins committed suicide, and I wondered why she would do so when she was very religious, or so I thought, as she was in church almost all the time, going there morning, noon and night. My sister and cousins talked about it in whispers. I learned later that it was about a priest. At that time, what we know now about priests could be found only in the novels of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

  56. bitchevil bitchevil

The priests’ evil deeds have been kept secret and hidden for so long. It’s only now that the media and the people have the guts to expose their sins. In the past, mere criticism of the priests was considered a sin because they were made to believe that the priests’ were Christ’s representatives on earth.

  57. Equalizer, if you ask me, I’d choose Trillanes over everyone else anytime…

  58. bitchevil bitchevil

Bong Revilla for Vice President? Please read:

“I take it as a personal insult to all of us Filipinos that a do nothing, know-nothing like Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla has been flirting with the idea of running for vice president not of some neighborhood association but of this country that might have attained some greatness except for the fact that we have chosen our leaders very badly.

One of the reasons for this is that we never had a working party system. Our political parties are gangs built on personal pursuits rather than ideals of public service.
Recently, Bong came out with a “clarification” about rumors (started by himself in feeds to the movie press) that some unnamed and possibly deranged persons have asked him to consider running for vice president. The senator is obviously suffering from the KSP sy ndrome. This is when someone who feels self-important finds himself ignored. He is then “kulang sa pansin” and will do anything to be noticed.

But, there is obviously a plan. Else, why would his wife, the actress Lani Mercado (who was an “A” student at Miriam) make herself available to the media so that she can express her “apprehensions” about all this talk about her rocket scientist husband running for the closest position to being president. Please naman!
You both know that all of this talk is self-generated and that absolutely no one else is even thinking about this. In fact, my own read of the political situation is that actors are passé as politicians. The actor can win, however, when the one running against them is a known jueteng lord or some such scum bag. In that case (and only in that case) do these celluloid heroes come off as the lesser evil. Give the voters a real choice and the actor cannot =0 Awin!

Lately, the senator has had a snapshot of him in the foreground and our country’s past presidents in the background. Subliminal but not subtle at all. There are also attempts to place him on the same footing as Sen. Jinggoy Estrada and Gov. Vilma Santos, both movie greats, too, with the difference that Jinggoy finished his law studies and has done good work as mayor and as senator.

Of course, Senator Bong may be smarter than we think. Could it be that what he really wants is for enough of us to be so shocked at the thought of his becoming vice president that someone rich will try to buy him out of the idea? After all, his political career seems headed for a great, big fall. What is his future as a politician?=2 0One doubts that he can get back to local politics in Cavite; and would you vote for him for national office, even as congressman?

Of course, it is too early to speculate on what can happen in the 2010 elections but, perhaps, Senator Bong should first try to do something with his present job. As senator, there is a lot of good that he can do for the country if he would only attend to the job at hand. Of course, he has to stop and think about what it is that he will do. Still, doing that may be time better spent than dreaming of being vice president, a job for which (God forbid!) he just does not qualify

Before focusing on dreaming about a position that involves solving the problems of the entire country, it may be a good idea for Senator Bong to concentrate on putting his domestic and family affairs in order.

First, his minor son Jolo gets Rosanna Roces’ minor daughter Grace pregnant; then, his own daughter Inah likewise becomes an underaged mother. Then comes talk that Jolo used to physically abuse Grace even while she was pregnant, giving the public the impression that being heavy-handed runs in the Revilla family. After all, it is now sister Princess making headlines, after she allegedly beat her maid up and this is not the first time that Princess has been in the news for this kind of treatment of her household help.

Politics can wait, Senator Bong. Get your house in order first. Obviously, your immediate family needs your attention.

As Confucius says: “To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.”
