Malacañang lobbying for Devanadera for SC

by Ibarra C. Mateo
VERA FILES

Malacañang has launched a quiet but intense lobby for the inclusion of Solicitor General Agnes Vicenta T. Devanadera in a shortlist to be submitted to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo by the Judicial and Bar Council, from where she would pick a new justice to fill the next Supreme Court vacancy, a JBC insider said Monday.

The JBC insider told VERA Files that Malacanang representatives have been talking to JBC members, signaling that it wants Devanadera to replace retiring SC Justice Ruben T. Reyes.

Reyes is one of the seven justices either retiring or seeking early retirement due to health reasons from January to December 2009

It’s very clear. Now that Malacanang has control over the Congress and Senate; the next step is to make sure most if not all the Supreme Court Justices are her appointees. Cha-Cha is well and alive again. House Speaker Nograles keeps mentioning this in the media. Unless the opposition, if indeed there is one, unites…it would be Evil Bitch again after 2010.

Ano ba yan Ellen, everything seem to be going the way the evil bitch wants. Baka may anting anting siya.

Gloria is now starting to fill in the blanks.

  5. A prayer to grant President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo the “forebearance” to lead the country “until 2010… and perhaps even beyond” spoiled the Chief Executive’s mood at the opening of the regular Cabinet meeting in Malacañang Tuesday.

Radio dzBB’s Aileen Intia reported that the “offending” prayer came from Press Sec. Jesus Dureza at the start of the Cabinet meeting. “We pray for the President, that she may have forebearance, good health, and tolerance to lead this nation until 2010, and who knows, perhaps even beyond,” Dureza said at the start of the Cabinet meeting.

Re: “We pray for the President, that she may have forebearance, good health, and tolerance to lead this nation until 2010, and who knows, perhaps even beyond.” Press Sec. Jesus Dureza

It’s a Freudian slip by Malacanang mouthpiece. Gloria Arroyo and her cohorts are determined to stay in power beyond 2010 by hook or by crook. They may sneak the planned charter change any time soon or martial rule is a possible option to stay in power.

The Supreme Court does not need another laughingstock.
Solicitor General Devanadera spread lies during Supreme Court’s hearing on the petitions questioning the constitutionality of the memorandum of agreement on ancestral domain (MOA-AD). She told the magistrates that Gloria Arroyo never read the controversial MOA-AD between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

He thinks that Filipinos can endure another 6 years with the whore-ria? mahiya ka naman, Judas…este, jesus!!! (note: hindi capitalize ang first letter)

Marami na talaga naiturong pointers sa pag-arte si Lupita kashiwahara kay whore-ria, a big improvement from the “I am sorry” days…

Tuloy ang pista ng maiiwan sa CA. Sipa sa taas ang di makakatulong. Peter principle.

Hoy !

VERA Files: “Devanadera was a one-time officer in charge of the Department of Justice, during the time when Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez sought medical treatment for his kidney problems. She graduated from the Ateneo Law School.

Her name was reportedly deleted from a final list of JBC nominees for a vacancy at the SC because of pending graft and regular administrative cases against her.”

Corruptible is one, if not the prime qualification that PGMA looks for in filling key gov’t posts.

Equalizer, here’s more on Dureza’s prayer:

Reports said that Mrs. Arroyo appeared “shocked” and said “Oh my God,” and asked the media to treat this prayer as “off the record,” then asked the media present to leave.

Later, Dureza told reporters that Mrs. Arroyo and her Cabinet members had a good laugh after that.

….How dare they make fun of prayer and laugh about it!

  14. Whoever said, “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.”, forgot to indicate how long the tunnel’s gonna be.

Because if it’s gonna be that long, and by all indications it is, then i think it would be smarter to just blow the whole thing up.

  15. BE: …it would be Evil Bitch again after 2010.

    *****

  16. Devanadera, graduate of Ateneo? Dios ko po! Maawa na po kayo sa Pilipinas! Another kurakot iyan pihado. No bilib ako sa mga Atenean as a matter of fact.

  17. “A prayer to grant President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo the ‘forebearance’ to lead the country ‘until 2010… and perhaps even beyond’ spoiled the Chief Executive’s mood at the opening of the regular Cabinet meeting in Malacañang Tuesday.”

Dureza simply articulated what gloria cannot dare publicly confess. Deep within her, she knows her heart’s desire to stay in power forever. French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre described such a case as bad faith… self-deception.

  18. bitchevil bitchevil

Grizzy, please don’t wish that God destroy the Philippines. Remember the members of this blog, our families, those who are with us in our crusade. Let’s just wish that God destroy Malacanang Palace when the Evil Bitch and her cabinet are holding a meeting.

Teka, meron bang ‘say’ ang Commission on Appointments dito?

  20. BE:

For one thing, God saves the righteous if they deserve to be saved. There are a lot many examples of such in the Scriptures as a matter of fact. Remember the story of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc.?

  23. atty36252 atty36252

Looking at the VERA files article and the list of interviewees, one name is noteworthy – Remedios Salazar Fernando.

Wasn’t it this Justice who penned the Northrail decision and the decision nullifying the finding of probable cause (by Devanadera) against Luisito Gonzalez? Marahil magandang ibigay sa mga JBC ang resolution ni achtung DOJ Devanadera finding probable cause, and the decision of Justice Salazar-Fernando demolishing the achtung’s findings.

For reading pleasure lang naman yan, because we know how the stooges will vote.

Haaa? Bakeeet?

  25. atty36252 atty36252

Si Mike? Overqualified. May weight limit ang Supreme Court.

Kailangan heavyweight sa sulat, hindi sa liempo.

Besides, ayaw niya, dahil kailangan mukhang malinis ang Justice; no Vegas trips, no chicks, no golf with the ZTE.

  26. balweg balweg

atty36252…but they missed their JOKE-JOKE ala Hello Garci,
kaya heto inis-talo at continuously multiplying their flocks na puro sinungaling at manhid sa katotohanan.

  27. parasabayan parasabayan

Will the JBC control the flow of the water when the dam is already broken? The JBC should have done this “control” way back when the evil bitch started to pick the justices under her. Why only now? What difference does it make now? What guarantees do we have that the JBC members are not corrupted? They could just be like the Tongressmen and the Senatongs, with open palms to “big” bounties!

  28. bitchevil bitchevil

JBC cannot do anything ’cause it’s now called Joc Joc Bolante Council.

  29. bitchevil bitchevil

Devanadera has a disbarment case and two other charges. Some other nominees to the SC also have pending case including one homicide. Are these the kind of lawyers being considered for the highest court of the land?

  30. balweg balweg
