  1. CALL TO ACTION AGAINST CORRUPTION

Corruption is the gravest threat to Philippine democracy and society
    today.

In the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s just released Philippine
scorecard for fiscal year 2009, the country failed to meet the
performance standard in the control of corruption category, with its
percentile ranking falling to 47% from 57% in fiscal year 2008.

In the 2008 Corruption Perceptions Index released by Transparency
International in September, the Philippines placed in the bottom
quarter of 180 countries. The country tied for 141st place with
    Cameroon, Iran, and Yemen.

The country’s poor performance in these corruption ratings is not
surprising given the litany of scandals that have hounded the
current Administration since 2001: the IMPSA kickbacks, the AFP
comptroller hidden wealth case, the Jose Pidal scandal, the COMELEC-
MegaPacific computerization deal, the fertilizer scam, the North and
South Rail projects, the cheating in the 2004 presidential
elections, the distribution of cash gifts in Malacañang, the NBN-ZTE
bribery scandal, and now, the PNP “euro generals”. No one has been
held accountable. We have not witnessed corruption of this magnitude
since the years of the Marcos dictatorship.

Contrary to her pronouncements, the President has shown no intention
of using the considerable powers and resources at her disposal to
get to the root of all these scandals, and has in fact allowed the
misuse of her power of executive privilege to hinder investigations
    into acts of official corruption.

The unchecked rise of corruption is seriously hampering efforts to
reduce poverty in the country and affecting our economic
competitiveness. But most alarming is the moral impact of this
virulent cancer on our citizenry, especially the youth. Not only is
it fostering a sense of cynicism and desperation, the greater
tragedy is that it may be engendering the adoption of the corrupt’s
disoriented moral compass among our people.

In their call to action, the group of bishops led by Jaro Archbishop
Angel Lagdameo asked, “But, who, who will pick up the broken,
shattered pieces of our country, hurting from poverty and
corruption, to make it whole again?” We say, we Filipinos are our
own liberators. Despite the dire situation we are in, we believe
that we are not powerless to defend the integrity of our
institutions and values. We urge all Filipinos to join us in
challenging our political leaders to immediately undertake the
    following reforms:

    * Implement citizens’ participation in local development planning
and budget reviews. We urge our public officials to recognize their
constituents’ right to participate in governance. Citizens should
know how public funds are being used in their barangay, city, and
    province.

    * Strengthen the civil service. We need civil servants who will
build quality and integrity systems in government agencies, and
spearhead the campaign against corruption from within the
    bureaucracy.

    * Punish the corrupt, not the whistleblowers. Except for General
Carlos Garcia, no one has been held accountable for their misdeeds.
We strongly urge the Ombudsman to act on pending high-profile
corruption cases, to increase the office’s pool of competent field
investigators, and most importantly, to uphold her mandate to serve
as protector of the people and not of the powerful.

Let us end the culture of dishonesty and impunity in our country,
especially in government, and take the war against corruption to the
    forefront of the national agenda!

  3. Mike Mike

  4. bitchevil bitchevil

I got a question, and your opinions shall be appreciated. Many aren’t really against Cha-Cha per se but want it after 2010 when the Evil Bitch is gone. In the connection, what happens if Cha-Cha is approved after 2010 when there’s already a new President? Would he be allowed to finish his term which is 6 years under the current Constitution? If Cha-Cha is approved and the new President has to step down to give way to the new system such as Parliamentary Form, it’s unfair to this new President especially if he happens to be from the opposition.

  5. balweg balweg

    BE,

Yan ang gusto ko sa iyong presence of mind and heart lalo na sa usaping pagbabago ng ating bulok na gubyerno.

I personally volunteer myself to Ellenville International Cruzader AGAINST CORRUPT GOV’T OFFICIALS/POLITICIANS/JUDGES/MILITARY con POLICE and especially our illegal President who stoled the Presidency not ONCE but TWICE.

Are you joining folks in this cruzade Against the evil bitch and her minions?

  6. balweg balweg

Morethan 11million register voters ang niyurakan ni GMA at winalanghiya, di pa kasama dito ang mga NON-voters at that time from 17-years old to newly born babies?

But this point in time, sino ngayon ang mahal ng masang Pinoy?

  11. bitchevil bitchevil

This is what House Speakershit Nograles and eyebrow-less Deputy Spokeshit Anthony Golez tells the media: It’s not Gloria’s decision to amend the Constitution but the Congress. If the Congress wants it, Gloria cannot do anything because the Executive is separate from Legislative.

The two think we Filipinos are dumb. Arroyo is the head of KAMPI Party wherein lots of Congressmen are members. His son Mickey the Horse was the one going around soliciting signatures for Cha-Cha. Can they say that the Evil Bitch has no hand its such activity?

  12. parasabayan parasabayan

“IBASURA ANG CHA CHA KASAMA NA SI GLORIA” or “IBASURA ANG CHA CHA AT SI GLORIA” na lang. When I read the title of this article Ellen, I thought ayaw ni Gloria and Cha-cha. I do not know if I am the only one understanding it that way.

The number of undecided representattives are almost 20. These are probably those waiting to have the “best deal”. If they sign up with the evil bitch, they may be given a perpetual position in the assembly (parliamentary) but if the cha cha does not make it, they will suffer the defeat in their reelection. It is a hard decision really.

I am all for removing the evil bitch now but in the absence of a rallying point (Cory was the one against Marcos and it was the evil bitch against Erap) it is a very hard sell. To get the people to attend these rallies, they have to have something to look forward to. There is no viable alternative presented to the people except to simply unseat the evil bitch! Of course the people would think that if the bitch is gone, the kabayad takes over. He is not even a better alternative. We have to have a platform of “change”. Push for an Interim governmenbt if that would be a possibility but have something concrete to work with.

The reason why the number of people on the streets have dwindled is, the “uncertainty” factor is so high. They rallied to put Cory as the president and they were very dissapointed. They put the evil bitch in power by unseating Erap and look what we got? THE WORST PRESIDENT we ever had. Now we want to unseat her but we have to present to the people the alternatives. For the organizers, you can get only the core opposition group but it will be very difficult gather a sizeable group of “warm bodies” without a clear direction. This is just my personal opinion.

  13. parasabayan parasabayan

The evil bitch planned Erap’s overthrow years prior. When the evil bitch put together the two big parties last year, she was again planning something big-the CHA-CHA. The real battle now is in the house of representathieves, the mayors, governors. The 20 representatives who are in limbo have to be swayed to go against the Cha-cha. But but is there for them? Do we know who these representatives are? Maybe we should appeal to their contituents to write them and lobby against the cha-cha. They are actually the most important group in the passing of the cha-cha.

  14. Thanks, Mike. Thanks, PSB.

    Palitan ko. I think I’ll use PSB’s.

  15. parasabayan parasabayan

    Thanks Ellen.

  17. parasabayan parasabayan

If the cha-cha train derails, the evil bitch will resort to a martial rule. But the big question is, will Obama approve that move? Kahit na siguro kumarengkeng siya ng husto kay Bill Clinton to lobby for her kay Hillary and Obama, I think that Obama will not bless her. Besides, when Yano goes, the then junior officers will now be the movers and shakers of the AFP. These junior officers know the real score on why their comrades are incarcerated. They know that it is time to make a stand. Maybe it will only be the AWOL sipsip John “Rat” Martir who will align with her if he happens to be the Commandant of the Marines. Ang malas lang ng mga Marines all of their good officers are in incarceration caused by none other that the “rat”.

  18. parasabayan parasabayan

Easier than done SumpPit. To remove this evil bicth, it will have to go through several processes, legal, constitutional, by force or by death. Because this evil bitch does her own laws, suntok sa buwan ang legal and constiturtional means. Kaya dalawa na lang ang naiiwang option. Got it! Our people do not believe that she will allow us to push through with the 2010 elections. I believe that if we are vigilant in stopping her from pushing with the cha cha and preventing her from declaring the martial law that she does not have any option but to have the elections. But we all have to be prepared not to allow her to get away with murder. We have to prepare to have her answer for her sins against the people. I would say as early as now that all the allegations of her crimes should immediately be filed not even a second after she steps down! She should be on the watch list so she can not leave the country. She should not be allowed to leave the country at all!

  19. parasabayan parasabayan

But just by watching how our senate and all other government offices work, almost all the criminals are able to get away with anything. Justice is so delayed that all the witnesses would have already forgotten the details of the crime and all the paper trail would have been shredded by the people occupying the higher positions. Because in the first place, all the big crimes are sindicated. Almost always the head is the ring leader, the assistant knows but has no power to oppose. All are involved in one way or the other. So, when the deputy takes over, the proofs are shredded, the gang members are promoted or moved to another department. Kaya walang nangyayari. No one is put in jail and the crime spree continues. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED!Maybe if a crime is discovered, the deputies should immediately be investigated and all proofs should be seized. The sorting can come later.

I am also for the move that GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES should not be included in the Privacy Laws of Banks. Government employees should always, at any point in time, be subjected audit when then are even the slighest suspicion of corruption. This will tremendously lessen their ability to commit crime.

  20. Elvira Elvira

  21. kitamokitako kitamokitako

Sangayon ako sa iyo PSB. Justice is so delayed – and also biased. Nani Perez is a good example. Despwes, because he was already acquited, he is now forever free (of charges against him before the Ombudsman) because of double jeopardy. Jocjoc case seems to also go this way.

  22. parasabayan parasabayan

Almost all the bloggers here may be out of the country but we have our relatives and friends who share our sentiments. They will be our representatives in the Philippines. Whenever I go home, I join all the rallies, vigils etc. We just have to do what we need to do the best that we can given the opportunity to do something for our country. As OFWs we are keeping our country afloat.

Remember the rice crises? In San Diego, almost all the rice were bought by Filipinos and sent through balikbayan boxes to help their families. Kaya nga ang Costco and the other rice dealers implemented a policy that only a bag can be sold to a customer. Ganyan tayong mga Filipino. Hindi natin matiis ang mga kapamilya.

  23. parasabayan parasabayan

kitamokitako, when the tide turns, everything is possible. I would like to see those cases of injustices overturned. Maganda yan. But we have to remove the evil bitch first. First things first.

  24. Ibasura si Gloria!

    Yun lang. Hehehe.

  25. Sa Umagang Kay Ganda ng ABS-CBN:

Pinky Webb: Kamusta po ang Malacañang?
Spokesman Golez: Everything is normal in the Palace.

    A, normal nga naman.

  26. chi chi

She is a prostitute numero uno! In the first world countries where regulations are in place and are fool proof, it is okay to open up trade and real estate and business ownership. But in a VERY CORRUPT country like the Philippines where even a mere clerk in a government office has already mastered corruption, this “open door” policy of owning business, real estate and the like is a formula for DISASTER!

  29. Tedanz Tedanz

Mukhang unggoy naman talaga si Glorya.

  30. “Ibasura ang cha-cha, kasama si Gloria

Ah, this is an excellent slogan! Now, if only Pinoys are capable of walking the talk…

  31. bitchevil bitchevil

Mayor Lim has already parted ways with Erap and of course it follows he’s already blacklisted by the opposition. I won’t be surprised if he’s already on the side of Malacanang; hence, rallyists are now being stopped.

Do you know that the Big Fat Mob Boss Mike left for Hongkong with the Evil Bitch. The Bitch is attending a convention where Bill Clinton is the main guest. But wasn’t this Mike sick recently? It strengthens our suspicion that he fakes his sickness.

  32. parasabayan parasabayan

BE, baka tumuloy kay Vicky Toh.

I even doubt if the fat guy had a bypass. He is just feigning sickness as a way to evade the law. Who would push for a prosecution of a “sick” guy. Naisahan tayo ni Big fat liar!

  33. bitchevil bitchevil

Vicky Toh is well settled in Vancouver, Canada. I heard that whenever Mike travels to California alone, he passes by Vancouver.

  35. Open Letter To Gloria Arroyo

    Know when enough is enough!

In spite of long-running corruption allegations and very serious doubts on the credibility of your victory in the 2004 elections, you and your allies have the audacity to push for Con Ass!

Your game plan is very obvious:

1)Railroad a House of Representatives resolution to convert itself to a Con Ass.

2)Appoint more of your loyalists to the Supreme Court.

3)Elevate the Con Ass issue to the “Arroyo” Supreme Court for a favorable decision.

4)Conduct a rush plebiscite on the “Arroyo constitution”.

    5)No more 2010 presidential elections.

6)VOILA,a new prime minister called Gloria Arroyo.

    Perfect plan, eh?

STOP playing games with the Filipino people!

Do you think an angry people will allow you and your congressmen to push Con Ass down their throats?

Do you think we will shut up and enjoy the rape of democracy in our country?

We said “NEVER AGAIN” in EDSA when we overthrew the first dictator.

We still mean it.We will not allow a second dictator.

Gloria, are you so clueless? Can you hear the angry people ???

  36. bitchevil bitchevil

From Hongkong, Big Mike is proceeding to the US to watch the Pacquiao fight. Don’t travel and excitement cause stress thereby harm his heart? Anyway, let’s hope that he dies of heart attack at the ring side.

  37. He will have a heart attack if he hears Villar is meeting with FVR to explore the possibility of Nacionalista Party entering into a coalition with FVR’s diehards, for still another possibility of coalescing with Cojuangco’s NPC and the Drilon faction of LP.

I hope this bears fruit today, when the plenary vote in the House to junk the 4th impeachment will be held.

  38. Valdemar Valdemar

Cha-cha is the best generic medicine now for all the ills around us. Anyone can make the brew, con-ass or whatnots. Its upon our mass who will have the last say when we vote for it or not. Thats when we will see who has the cash, who need the cash or we remain the ass.

  39. Thailand should not postpone the Asean Summit in Chang Mai. The Thais are in a bad mood against corrupt leaders, the Chang Mai airport should be captured likewise when Arroyo arrives and stupid Thai police should make a daring rescue! Only stupid Thai police, please.

  40. The Cha-Cha move of Gloria Pidal is like the Snap Election move of Marcos..the FINAL STRAW!

  41. Malapit na ang umaga;
Tanaw na tanaw na ang pag-asa.

  42. asiandelight asiandelight

I am for Chacha but not for Gloria. The problem that we will be facing in our country after Gloria is another corrupt President and corrupt Senate who takes bribes and gifts to influence legislation and the making of our laws. The SC is also corrupt that they are also reported to receive bribes. Your congressman and governor and even your mayor are also corrupt. These people have direct access to open their own businesses and discouraging regular people to succeed. The private sectors( businesses) are the supplier of bribes and gifts and the public officials are the takers.
Instead of following the rule of law, everybody breaks the law.

  43. florry florry

We, Filipinos must smarten up. A bridge to and beyond 2010 is in the works and being rushed. And why the rush if not about something sinister? Anything that is done in haste is the handiwork of the devil, so it must be the evil Gloria who is at work. We must join hands and mass actions without any pre-condition and burn the bridge before they succeed. Protests and rallies may have a little impact on a corrupt and insensitive government used to fooling and deceiving its own people but still every bit can make a difference. It is important to unite and gather together to express our concern, indignation and rejection.

  44. parasabayan parasabayan

Great article Asiandelight! Ellen, maybe you can forward this to our legislators, To Harry Roque and those who have the passion to clean up our government! We need a body similar to this and an Azhar.

  45. that was a good article you shared asiandelight, many thanks for sharing…

question lang is that, how are our prosecutors compared to the Indonesians who are far more willing to beat the crap out of their corrupt officials? i guess that’s where the big difference lies…

  46. parasabayan parasabayan

Reyna Elena, we just have to harness just a few of our passionate anti-corruption proponents. We have some good ones. Sana mabasa nila yung article ni Asiandelight to give them the inspiration. Corruption busters can be for real!

  47. asiandelight asiandelight

    reyna,

very good point on prosecutors. the judiciary is perceived as burdened by very cumbersome procedures, and it is also perceived to be corrupt. Many judges are believed to accept bribes by influential elites. knowing that, the new pinoy anti-corruption hero will bribe the judge 🙂 hehehe

honestly, when there’s a solid evidence , it can easily be accepted for trial. It is an expensive battle but it can be done.

The jocjoc and this retired police ba? are a classic case of SC’s inability to prosecute. The evidence are lacking because everybody are sold. Commission on Audit is not an independent body but a branch of the corrupt. I would suggest to poison all these people 🙂

asiandelight Says, “I am for Chacha but not for Gloria?”

No question at all if whoever wanted to pursue the ammendment of our 1987 Constitution, but in one condition…we need a group of God-fearing, nationalist and intellectuals who knows the needs and welfare of our country and the people most.

Right now, majority of our Kababayans doesn’t like to ammend our constitution because the present regime is not worthy to lead this task.

Ang kaso their evil agenda to manipulate our constitution eh upang maextend ang kanilang termino.

  50. Another crusader against corruption beaten by the system…

Going, gone: Mr. Go throws in the towel

    Wanted: New textbook crusader

MANILA, Philippines—It all began when a publisher offered Antonio Calipjo Go a Mitsubishi L-300 van in exchange for a three-year textbook supply contract.

The academic supervisor of Marian School of Quezon City was incensed that learning materials not only were being treated as commodities bundled with special offers but were also shot through with errors.

Go decided to mount a campaign against what he called “sick books,” writing protest letters to the Department of Education (DepEd) and lawmakers, appearing in congressional hearings, giving interviews to reporters and sending articles to newspapers and magazines.

His was a lonely crusade that angered DepEd officials, academics, publishers and authors with strings of MAs and PhDs to their names.

After a 12-year campaign that included pulling out newspaper advertisements worth P1 million paid out of his own pocket and four court cases filed against him by angry publishers, Go is throwing in the towel.

  51. I’ve always been a stickler for “playing by the rules” as I was taught that he who cannot conform to standards is doomed to a life of mediocrity. I am for change but there must be a way to achieve this without throwing away the contitution or the “rule book.”

Everytime I say this I can’t help remembering one afternoon when I was around 12 years old, I’ve always warned my younger brothers not to get in trouble, stay away from fights (because we’d get beaten black and blue by our mother no matter who started it), but one time I saw my younger brother get pushed and kicked by this bully and he just tried to ignore it and kept on walking – I didn’t think twice and jumped on the loser ala “Tito Ortiz” that my brother along with others had to pry me away as I was bashing this loser’s head on the pavement already. I can’t forget the look on my brother’s face when he asked “you said we weren’t supposed to fight, patay ka kay mamang unya!”
I know most guys can relate to this experience. I know some people who are perhaps the last person to break any law, soft spoken, strong silent types and very disciplined – I find out are in detention already…Maybe we’re just lucky we were not in that position where we had to choose right then and there to put our lives and careers on the line for what is right, to stand up to these bullies. Unfortunately some had to make that choice and have to suffer the consequences…there must be something wrong with a society where those who choose to do what is righteous “suffer the consequences.”
…and they say Gloria is being treated like Jesus Christ…

BANSOT AND FATBOY PIDAL MUST BE TAKEN OUT IMMEDIATELY

Bansot and fatboy pidal must be taken out immediately, before a new Supreme Court member will be appointed in the bench. Why?

Just look what happened during the Davide Supreme Court, they invented the unconstitutional “constructive resignation” to legetimize kuno the power grab of bansot and fatboy pidal.

Look at the “executive privilege” that the Supreme Court ruled on, to help the pidal mafia hid their corruptions.

What do you think will be next, that will be given to bansot and fatboy pidal, in a silver platter by Pidal Supreme Court? In my opinion, Pidal Supreme Court will give:

    Velarde threatens march vs Cha-cha

El Shaddai leader urges Arroyo: Stop it

    Full story here http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquirerheadlines/nation/view/20081203-175761/Velarde-threatens-march-vs-Cha-cha

MANILA, Philippines—The spiritual adviser of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has threatened to mount one-million-strong street protests against the campaign of her allies in the House of Representatives for the amendment of the 1987 Constitution.

Bro. Mike Velarde, leader of the El Shaddai that counts at least four million members, again aired his warning to Congress not to push Charter change (Cha-cha) and, in the process, extend the term of the President and other elected officials beyond 2010.

But this time, Velarde also directed his appeal to Ms Arroyo, saying she should “use her persuasive powers on her allies” to withdraw their resolutions calling for Charter change and stop their campaign for a constituent assembly (Con-ass).

“Otherwise, if the President will not do it, we will do it in the streets,” he told the Philippine Daily Inquirer on the phone.

Velarde said he would call out a million of his followers “anytime” against House moves to railroad Charter change: “Paparadahan natin ‘yan ng isang milyon.”

Even former Senate President Frank Drilon warned that the Charter change drive could spark “people power.”

  63. parasabayan parasabayan

We should be a vigilant as the Thais. See, they got the justice they want! The current party was found to have rigged the elections! Samantalang the evil bitch already had the ‘SMOKING GUN”, the “hello Garci” tape and yet she got away with the biggest crime! This is why her lapdogs are so confident that the evil bitch will push through with the cha-cha and stay in her power for as long as she wants! If she was able to manipulate the constitution through the infidel Davide, she was able to get away with the cheating operations in 2004, she succeeeded in bribing her lapdogs in tongress to junk the four impeachment complaints so far, the charter change is just peanuts now for her. She has successfully corrupted the congress, the legislative and judiciary arms of the land, anything else thrown at her will be “peanuts”. The co-equal arms are suppoe to “guard” her but she has successfully put these “weaklings” into her pocket. Iba nga naman ang amoy ng pera!

  64. bitchevil bitchevil

Don’t count on Mike Velarde. He might be only asking for favor or seeking leverage on something personal or business related matters.

On the other hand, Velarde is really against Cha-Cha at this time because like INC’s Manalo, he wants an election so that his group’s votes would be sought. If El Shaddai and INC could join forces again just like in Edsa 3, then indeed Gloria’s ouster might succeed.

  65. parasabayan parasabayan

Gee Skip, I had a hard time deciphering what you wrote!

Mabuti naman at Bro Velarde is opposing the cha-cha.

  66. skip skip

PSB, I’m really skeptical about this Velarde. He seems too unctuous for comfort.

But if even the spiritual adviser of Arroyo is taking a hardline stance against Chacha, mukhang may movement na nangyayari right under our noses.

If it helps in kicking out Gloria Arroyo, then EMMEN!

  67. parasabayan parasabayan

The CBCP, FVR,El Shaddai and even the sooo very( Zubiri) ally of the evil bitch have already spoken against the pushing of the charter change but the midget has not even shown any attempt to stop the signature campaign. Only her mouth pieces eyebrow Golez (Galis) and ermitanyo are saying that the evil bitch will no longer extend her term.

  68. bitchevil bitchevil

All the Evil Bitch has to do is to tell her allies in Congress especially his two stupid sons to stop Cha-Cha. But she is not doing this simply because it’s what she wants. Better still, she must categorically declare to all that she’s stepping down in 2010…we need her written signature with her blood signed on it…not her words.

  69. chi chi

    Ha!ha!ha! Galing mo skip.

  70. bitchevil bitchevil

There’s now a report that this time, the ones who funded the recent impeachment killing as well as the ongoing Cha-Cha move are big time smugglers connected with BOC. If we talk about smuggling and BOC, one of the guys that come to mind is this untouchable Ricky Razon.

  71. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

  72. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

Kamaganak ba ni Ricky Razon si Vicky Toh?

  73. skip skip

    thanks chi. 🙂

  74. bitchevil bitchevil

No, Diego. Vicky Toh is a pure Chinese while Razon is a Spanish mestizo. But, I’m sure they know one another because of their relationship to Big Mob Boss Mike Arroyo. Razon was a major player in that ZTE scam; but the Senate or any agency was not able to make him appear in any hearing. That tells you how powerful this Razon is.

  75. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

Jose Pidal Mafia connection pala. Birds of a feather flock together in smuggling business. That’s a fact.

  76. parasabayan parasabayan

Now that the impeachement complainst was junked, most of these tongressmen can now watch Manny’s fight. They also have money to bet big time. I just saw sabit swingson in a photo in Manny’s final workout. So the sabit is not just the evil bitches’ advicer, Manny’s too. Ang sarap ng buhay nila! SCUM OF THE EARTH LAPDOGS!

If the tongressmen and the senatongs can not do the work for us, to be our protectors, let us all KICK THEM OUT(except those who pushed for the impeachment)! Sometimes, I often wondered if the bomb which killed Akbar could have been detonated inside the Batasang Pambansa amongst the lapdogs, menos menos na sana ang problema natin ngayon!

  77. parasabayan parasabayan

It is very difficult to follow the money trail in the “bribe” money given to the tongressmen because if the evil bitch is distanced from the act, the money must just simply come from illegal money. Erap was convicted because of the jueteng money. What an IRONY!

  78. IF FVR and Enrile are at it again, then GMA is heading for the exit.

A repeat of 1986 may happen, where the spirit of the Revolution is genuine at the hearts of the people, but never with the instigators. FVR’s Carlyle connection must never be ignored.

I would prefer it to be led by The General from Magdalo. HE knows precisely what must be done after the seat of power is taken. But the people are not ready yet for him. I guess they won’t be ready anytime soon.

Genuine and radical reforms is not forthcoming even if Glueria is unseated.

  79. These Chameleons could launch a fake coup d’ etat against GMA, or any similar deceptions to defuse tensions, and put in place an Arroyo -friendly leadership.

  80. bitchevil bitchevil

Yes Diego, friends of the same feather fuck together. Ricky Razon was the one who cursed at Jun Lozada at Wack-Wack. Razon is the one funding many politicians during election. If you think Chavit Singson is so powerful, you have not seen Razon yet.

  81. bitchevil bitchevil

Enrile might argue that he has nothing to do with his former wife’s appointment to Vatican simply because she’s no longer his wife. But just the same, the connection was quite obvious. Miriam Santiago’s husband is also currently a Presidential Adviser. With all these connections, how could we trust these people?

  82. bitchevil bitchevil

Parasabayan, unknown to Manny Pacquiao, his godfather Singson is betting in favor of De La Hoya. For the first time in a long time, De La Hoya is 2-1 favorite.

As a Filipino, I want Pacquiao to win again. It’s the Filipino pride in me just like most of us. But this time, I prefer that Manny loses. First, his victory would benefit his godmother the Evil Bitch personally. His victory might stop the momentum of people’s anger against Cha-Cha and the recent impeachment killing. People would rejoice for a while extending until Christmas and New Year. By February, situation is calmer to the advantage of these criminals in Malacanang. If Manny loses, people would get more angry and hopefully leads to Gloria’s ouster. His defeat would also discourage him from running as Congressman. Who needs a boxer in Congress? Congress is for legislature and intelligent deliberation on laws and bills. What can a Manny Pacquiao do? Another waste of Congressional seat like this Lito Lapid in Senate…

  83. NOT SO OFF-TOPIC:

The Chinese natives in Macau are asking for Filipinos to leave Macau alone. OFWs working in hotels, casinos, and restaurants in the gambling capital of Asia are being harrased by the locals whose jobs are threatened by the ongoing global financial trouble. Many establishments are downsizing due to the slow business in the famous tourist destination for gamblers. The local labor unions have written their government see to it that priority be given to their locals and the foreigners be the first ones to go in case companies decide to cut down employees, especially against Filipinos who are generally well-liked in these islands for their superior work habits and attitude, the Chinese have resorted to name-calling.

In some offices in Macau, slogans are posted on walls like: “OUT WITH THE FILIPINOS” OR “SEND THE FILIPINOS HOME, NOT US!”. In the news, a placard was shown with the words “FILIPINOS ARE DOGS AND PIGS!”

I’m sure the last one was done by someone who saw the Filipino First Couple attending the Clinton Global Initiative in Hong-Kong, which is just a boat ride away. Dog and Pig – spot on! Heheheh.

  84. bitchevil bitchevil

Thousands of OFWs in Taiwan were also fired.

  85. Valdemar Valdemar

    Tongue,
I am somewhat a victim of the DAR, and against the CARP totally. But just cant bear to see some people are messed around who are fighting for what they believe rght or wrong. I gave them a few pesos at the LRA before they were hauled offto the police station.

  86. We were also victims of CARP – by our own relatives and caretakers!

  87. rose rose

  88. bitchevil bitchevil

Justice will flourish if this Department of Justice Secretary Goonzalez is removed…as well as all the Justices in the Supreme Court appointed by the Evil Bitch.

God save the Philippines!—lalo na from Gloria Dorobo, Mike Piggy at iba pang kurakot sa Pilipinas. I’d rather leave their fate to God.

  90. Jug,

I, too, am for conforming with rules, but why follow rules that are made by evil men and women like Gloria Dorobo?

The truth is we have a tenet in our church regarding being subjects to civilian authorities in conformity with what Christ said regarding giving what is for God and for Ceasar. But I guess, it is alright when the majority wills it that a cheat and a fraud like Gloria Dorobo be forcibly removed from office by hook or by crook especially when there is the threat that she is not going away but is planning to stay permanently in the palace by the murky river and impose herself on the people of the Philippines.

Parang cancer iyan na nagiging malignant na. Kailangang tanggalin iyan by all means sa lalong madaling panahon!

    Patalsikin na, now na!

  91. bitchevil bitchevil

I’m wary about Mike Velarde. He wants to save Gloria Arroyo because his interests are served by her.

Let Arroyo push her cha-cha at nang matumba na.

  93. Tongue,

My father’s land (coconut and cacao plantation) in Lanao del Sur didn’t fall under CARP but was overrun by Muslim “insurgents.”

Re squatters: Hagedorn once quipped about squatters and their shanties: “If they can’t produce a building permit or proper construction authorisation, there’s only one thing to do, bulldoze their shanties. And I’ve always kept that in mind.”

  94. masha masha

    sumpPIT

gloria, fvr, villar, lacson, erap etc. parang binalasa mo lang the same deck of cards. same-old same-old.

what the philippines need is a talented young leader. i’m sure there is one out there. someone who can inspire a movement. we need somebody out of the box.

someone in the mold of marlon manuel. ateneo lawyer, graduated top 10, bar top 10, worked for biggest law firm in the phils but later opted to go the ngo route, managing/executive director of saligan, helped culion govern themselves, has argued before the sc en banc and did well, championed the cause of laborers, women, farmers etc. excellent. has excellent connections and has earned the respect of people across the board.

if it’s the same people, kakatamad to get up and work for them and nothing will change.

perhaps we should start vetting the young leaders ourselves. perhaps we shouldnt let the oligarchs decide amongst themselves on who should rule us.

    2010 is a year and a half away…

  95. parasabayan parasabayan

We’ve been led by trapos for the longest time. Maybe we should now pick someone with moral integrity.

I was listening to Gordon (not that I agree with his running for the presidency)but I heard him say that the government should finance the candidacy of any president. This is to prevent any outside interest financing any candidate, as the same financiers will eventually dictate on the president somewhere down the line. I absolutely agree with him! A leader has to make sure that every citizen’s interest is cared for and not just the interests of the rich ones because they were able to finance the electioneering of any candidate. This way too, those who are able leaders but lacking in finances can compete and the people can have a shot at electing a better leader. Huwag namang palagi yung taong yumaman dahil sa kakukurakot from the very beginning of his/her political career.

  96. bitchevil bitchevil

Gordon might be correct in suggesting that the government should finance the candidates. Isn’t the government doing it now to her candidates? Candidates endorsed by this administration receive all the help. It’s only the opposition that suffers. Gordon made such a suggestion because no one in his right mind would finance him. I still remember after he was kicked out as SBMA Chairman by Erap. Gordon cried like a baby. One thing favors Gordon is that he’s an American boy. That’s why if Uncle Sam decides to place him as President, he has a big chance.

  97. parasabayan parasabayan

Masyadong madaldal itong si Gordon. He talks too much!

  98. bitchevil bitchevil

Too bad Gordon is the Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman. Notice that he talks a lot more than the other Committee members.

    masha,

we need to think outside the box.

erap may win an election but i dont think he can muster support beyond the masa.

erap doesnt inspire. with his jueteng, gambling, womanizing, with dacer, bentain, with atong ang, chavit etc., with mistresses intervening in matters because of erap’s position, how could he?
