My blog’s new look

How do you like this blog’s new look?

The design is called “Emerald Stretch”. It has three columns, instead of two of the old layout. It has more features which I could use later to make this site more interesting.

I’m still familiarizing with this new layout and later on I will have to change the picture on top. It has to be other images aside from my face. But give me time.

Thanks, Abe and Jason.

  1. Fantastic. That shows this blog has gone a long way. Congratulation and keep it up.

  2. Ellen,

The other layout went on for a years and so I got so used to it. It was neat and singular!

This one is nice too but I still have to get used to it. Perhaps, when you’ve put your pic in the masthead, then everything will fall in place.

Just that we (or at least I) have become paranoid — finding your blog different ofttimes in the past when jerks tried desperately to hack your blog.

Anyway, now that you’ve announced that this is the new look, it’s all looking in good, full working order.

  3. Ellen, please check your email!

  4. Ellen:

    This has a restful,relaxed mood.

Maybe that’s good for a change.

  5. I like this soothing and much sober design, Ellen. It neutralizes the stinging punches of your contents. But I sense a forthcoming facelift anytime soon.

Prefer the other one but hey, I dwell more on what posters are saying about incoming topic/s. Change is greater if the people change the current corrupt empire.

The new design of this blog is more user friendly. You have the option to include your photo. Can you give us instructions on how to include our photos? More words can be written in a line making it easier to read. Each blog is numbered making it easier for bloggers to remember the last entry. This numbering can be improved further if it is sequential instead of tens.

Are you now connected to the server where Yugatech is connected?

  8. Thanks. Syria. Abe Olandres, owner and head of Ploghost and who is also my site administrator is Yuga.

I don’t know how to put ID photos. Jess Q and Cocoy, can you help us?

  9. Ellen,

Emerald Stretch as in Green Antique? Nice…

Looks refreshing and consumer-friendly. You should be one of the most visited blogs in the country today. Keep it up!!!

You have two my favorite colors, green and blue. I love it! Of course, the patriotic theme is what attracts many in your blog.

It will take a little time to get usd to the look. If it is more functional, the change is welcomed.

    Ellen,

Anything that comes from you comes with the truth and
rightful rage and indignation i couldn’t care less how it looks i’ve endured the old layout for years anyway! But of course, this one comes easy to the eye, refreshing in its shades of green and yellow colors and truly convenient for its organized links. After all the naked truth need not be ugly.

Looking forward to your continued reportage on Magdalo and their comrade-in-arms so the public will know and continue to remember that there are soldier-patriots who will fight for and with them: in the service, in jail, in our legislative chambers or in the local government units!

Send our Best Wishes to Sen. Sonny Trillanes IV, LtSg. James Layug, Capt. Gary Alejano, to Julius and the rest of the troops!

    Ka Dave

  15. Ms. Ellen,

Ganda ng theme ng blog mo. Refreshing sa mata. 😉

  16. Picking Blue and Green as the Blog’s colors was a good decision…so that Ateneans and Lasallians won’t fight.

    Ms.Ellen,

  18. Thanks, Cocoy. Masubukan nga.

  19. I will have to change the images on the masthead. Give me time for that.

  20. Thanks everybody for the feedback.

Beautiful perfect horizontal stretch. Not so with long vertical stretches on replies.

  22. Wow…it has a great feel to it…

  23. Mami_noodles, I just found our rally photo. I’m sending it to you by email. I had wanted to post it here but I can’t figure out yet how to post photos in comments section.

  24. Ellen,
More white space makes a website more elegant. Like your old one. On avatars, Gravatar doesn’t allow special characters on usernames. Like mine. WordPress bloggers have it.

  25. Tongue, my problem with the old design was it didn’t have widgets. So there are things I’d like to put, like books that I’d like to promote in the blog, that I could not.

There are still some problem areas in this blog which I have to deal with. I’ve also received complaints that they can’t access like Schumey and two others.

I still don’t know how to change my profile photos. Haaay. Saka na. I will have to learn.

  26. Take your time. Learning new things is always rewarding. Good job. Generally, the new layout is more pleasant and can better accommodate improvements (yes, widgets!). You also deserve some pay-per-click extra income for as long as ads don’t interfere with the theme/structure. You can take a tip or two from Reyna Elena and the others. We will click one ad every visit, heheh.

I like the “Recent Posts” box, we don’t have to return to the homepage or navigate through the two next titles.

    May I suggest the following:

    – Get some interesting graphics or small ads/link icons inside the green topbar to catch attention

    – Put your search box above the Google Adwords

    – Provide an option to select between your-blog-only and the web in the search box. Though I don’t have a problem here (I go to my blog and search your archives from there). Google search is customizable.

  27. P.S. Consider bringing back the timestamp on each post. We can determine if the commenter we’re talking to is on the same page with the indicated time. It makes discussions livelier.

  28. Thanks, Tongue. I’ll tell Yuga.

Yvonne is willing to help me with the minor changes so that I would not have to bother Yuga, who is soooo busy but she cannot access this blog naman.

Couldn’t access this blog from my PC/Hard Drive for a day but able to on my laptop. Now, it’s working again. Agree with TT, space at bottom is unnecessary. Cheers!
