SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao – The Office of the Provincial Governor of the country’s second poorest province on the third floor of this peach and pink palatial building with an “ala CCP” driveway that leads to the second floor, has three living room sets, a conference table for 16, a huge executive desk with a leather swivel for the governor and leather chairs for guests, a toilet exclusively for the governor’s use, a center table for flowers and a door that leads to a room with a bed (and a refrigerator with several bottles of softdrinks), that leads to an alley where you can find to your left, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub.

SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao (MindaNews/11 December) – The man who owns the mansion on the right side of the highway from Cotabato City, that one with the mosque, is the governor of the country’s second poorest province while the man who owns the mansion on the left side is his son, the governor of the country’s poorest region.

Welcome to the mansions of Maguindanao Governor Datu Andal Ampatuan, Sr., and his son, ARMM Governor Datu Zaldy Ampatuan.

    Warlords of the Republic

The value of warlords arose from their coercive capacities that backed up national leaders, assisted the military in the destruction of rebels, reformists and other “threats” to those in power, and brought in supplementary largesse when patrons and allies, having looted state coffers dry, needed extra funds to retain their power.

H%#@*t nilang lahat.

  3. Posted this on my FB and will repost sa Barrio Siete. Two words… Put**g I*a!!!

What a pansy.

  5. Rebecca Ampatuan-Ampatuan, the eldest child of Ampatuan Sr. and Uy, said her father has around six wives. She said there are about 40 Ampatuan children.
    ***

Has around six wives & about 40 children!?

This is the clan GMA has no plan to severe friendly ties with. And to think that many of them are in the government employ aside from those who run unopposed for the supposedly elected positions in almost all Maguindanao towns. That’s why when another clan planned to challenge them in their turf, hindi pwede yun, bangkay na tatangahalin ang kakalaban, hence the carnage.

  6. When Mindanews went to the Maguindanao capitol, they saw this money bag:

Ampatuan Sr. “has around six wives & about 40 children!? -joeseg

Ang mang nawawala sa listahan ay ginawa sa capitol with “a center table for flowers and a door that leads to a room with a bed (and a refrigerator with several bottles of softdrinks), that leads to an alley where you can find to your left, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub.”

I wished the Ampatuan Sr. also bedded here his bff Goyang. The Ampatuans are experts lover boys and gigolos, sabi nga ni Nene Pimentel ay “kiliting-kiliti” raw si Gloria kung hinahalikan ni Zaldy ang kamay ng bruha kung ipinatatawag o bumibisita sa Malacananang ang una.

  8. Side-topic: For a brief moment, I want to call attention to OFW’s, especially Filipinas working in Saudi Arabia.

Pinas needs more jobs in Pilipinas, not more jobs in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, or Abu Dhabi.

    Pepito,

Philippines may not be an attractive place for many investors. Not only it is the most dangerous place for journalists but the most corrupt in asia. Investors cannot invest aggressively to employ the many because national security is too weak to protect their investments. Philippines is a country that is only for people who will donate money to help the poor, such as USaid, Australia Aid, Japan Aid, Swiss aid, UK aid and many more. If we have to look at the inside, OFW’s always send money and provide financial aids to their families. When money is given without expecting return, that’s help not investments.

worst, the constitution limits foreign investors instead the constitution allow many to go overseas who will be subject to the rules and regulations of the foreign employer.

We need investments in tourism and hospitality industry here. We need tourist to spend their money here but safe. We need investments in healthcare, infrustructure, foreign universities, technology, farming and professional services here.

None of our predentiables has been able to specifically address employment issue, how to finance it and how to remove corruption and put the savings for good use. All their answers are in general terms that Mang Juan and Pedro cannot understand. I only like one and he is not Noynoy nor Manny.

  13. The Ampatuans’ mansions and millions””We have vast landholdings”, says daughter

The daughter is a jerk! Living in ghastly opulence while the rest of the inhabitants live in poverty is downright vulgar!

Besides, vast landholdings do not systematically mean cash! The cash could have come from the money earmarked for the province but which the jerks pocketed. Now, that would be stealing (and in the Muslim faith, they chop off hands of thieves!)

But what can you expect from a family of murderers!

  14. Many people from the rest of the country — including ideologists have been saying that peace should reign in Mindanao, particularly in densely Muslim inhabited regions because the sight and the knowledge that their Muslim brothers and sisters in Mindanao have been suffering in abject misery and unspeakble poverty because of the “war.”

Now truth be told: there is war because their corrupt, vulgar and villanous fellow Muslims are greatly responsible for the situation they find themselves in… I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that these Ampatuans are also responsible for the ongoing armed conflicts in Mindanao — war is always good for business.

    Shameless murderers.

  15. bayong bayong

  16. AdeBrux:The cash could have come from the money earmarked for the province but which the jerks pocketed.

The budget for the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao where Zaldy Ampatuan is the governor is P10 billion.

Everything in ARMM is controlled by the Ampatuans with the full knowledge of Gloria Arroyo. As stated in the Mindanews article, Arroyo inaugurated the flamboyantly-styled capitol.

  17. Ellen,

“The budget for the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao where Zaldy Ampatuan is the governor is P10 billion.”

Oh my goodness me… I’m speechless!

  18. Chop off their bloody hands…

We must wage jihad agaisnt these baboys, thieves and murderers.

    They must be crucified!

Napakalaki nga ng stake, kaya pumapatay. Gusto nila for life ang kanilang ligaya, sana for life sila sa bilangguan.

  21. rose rose

chop off the heads of the ampatuaans and gloria..tadtadrin, ihalo at icremate..very well done..do the same for big mike and the mickey mice..pero huwag isama sa unang mixture..hindi puedeng ihalo ang mga baboy.. this is the recipe for a new minhanao, a new philippines..separate dish naman si lullipop..

  22. andres andres

Aside from the Ampatuans, Chavit is the most glaring warlord that is existing today. He throws his weight around, harassing his political foes. He travels with a minimum of 15 heavily armed men, scaring people with their presence.

He beats up his wife, and is even proud of doing so.
