ImeldaBATAC, Ilocos Norte.—The sun was at its fiercest heat that Friday noon. everyone in the van was almost drained except for the oldest among them. Instead she asked for her powder, compact mirror and lipstick to retouch her makeup. Then the van came to a stop; she was ready to alight. In her signature look, a casual but elegant outfit, the door of the van slid open and a shrieking chorus welcomed her.

Former First Lady Imelda Marcos, so known to the world for her 3,000 pairs of shoes, now in her blue-strapped Happy Feet bakya (a local brand of wooden clog), walked down the cracked plateau in the village of Gernale. She shook hands of the young and old who waited for her that day to listen to what the widow of their beloved “Apo Marcos” can do for them.

Away from Malacanang Palace where she lived as first lady for 20 years, now running as congresswoman, the “Steel Butterfly” as she was referred to being the beautiful wife of the former strongman Ferdinand Marcos, took cover under a mango tree to talk to the people. Among her campaign promises was to build a settlement in paradise. This, she said, she will do by putting up mothering centers in every barangay that will oversee the needs of the villagers.

This Political interest of Imelda is 1000%+++ show of GREED and a very selfish attitude ( correct, # 2, she should retire, and mold, let the young ones be given the chance..This is one of the reasons, why the country is likened to quick sand, because the ” trapos “never give chance to others. A show of dynasty and ownership). iF SEE really care, she can do all the projects, she wanted to the country ( Ilocos Region ) with the $$$$$$$$ +++++++ the bank interest, WITHOUT involving in politics..Maybe she will use the peoples money (pork barrel or comm. development fund )and get or hoard some remaining percentage, % ( as the normal practice ), instead of using the money they deposited abroad..Talaga naman, a typical G.I. culture ( not all please )… What do they want to prove !!!..We are not Alone in this world, they have to share and give others a CHANCE for Hope and betterment..” nasubukan na sila “…iisa ang lahi, iisa ang dugo, iisa ang pangako, at iisa ang kahihinat-nan ( with one result, the cycle of “trapos-political-culture, the culture of grandstanding, the power, of greed-corruption-hatred )…the country, lost in the pacific ocean-Asian sea !!!

  3. Imelda is a victim of Evil Society, she is just trying to clear her name.
