The capture of Marine Capt. Nick Faeldon will not stop the imminent downfall of discredited Arroyo regime. It’s won’t discourage Filipino people aspiration and goal for better Philippines. The fight goes on! Gloria Arroyo must go!

Fugitive Marine Capt. Nicanor Faeldon was arrested Friday night in Malabon by operatives of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, DZMM reported.

Faeldon’s arrest was confirmed by AFP spokesman Col. Tristan Kison.

No details were available as of posting time but the AFP said it will issue an official statement regarding Faeldon’s arrest.

Faeldon who was among the 30 junior officers who led the Oakwood mutiny in 2003 escaped on December 14 last year after attending a hearing of his rebellion case at the Makati Regional Trial Court.

Faeldon, a member of the Marine Recon Company, had been espousing his rebellious cause against the Arroyo government on his website, urging the people to do civil disobedience.

The fugitive officer has escaped his pursuers and has hold photo sessions inside two military camps.

His shots taken at the Western Command headquarters in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and the Southern Command headquarters in Zamboanga City were posted on his website.

In one of his statements on the website, he challenged the military generals to arrest him, saying that no ordinary soldier would turn him in because they are on his side.

What will the military do with a problem like Faeldon? His capture will be the true test for all of the soldiers and police. The time for talking is finished. It is now either shut-up or put-up. No middle ground. The eyes of the whole nation is on you.

Either way, it must be a road to peace and unity and the emergence of a generation with new values and faith but with no collateral damage of human lives. How can this be done? Rather, who can do this?

Everybody should stand down. Let the Pilipino people choose who will lead them. Let everybody who wants to be candidates come before the nation, and let the people choose from them. Then let us unite behind our chosen leader towards the dawning of a new day. This is the only way.

Madaling sabihin yan. Ano yang pinagsasabi mong “Let everybody who wants to be candidates come before the nation, and let the people choose from them[?]”

The AFP has reportedly captured Capt. Nicanor Faeldon. We have no way of confirming this. BUT THE FIGHT DOES NOT END HERE. When he started this, he swore never to give up fighting for a credible government.

THIS FIGHT WILL END ONLY IF THEY KILL HIM, OR IF YOU, THE PEOPLE, GIVE UP ON HIM.

The AFP claims he was with his girlfriend when arrested. He has a friend, CAPT. RIVAS, THE JAGO SPOKESPERSON WHO LIVES IN MALABON. HE IS NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND. HE SWORE OFF ALL PERSONAL INTEREST WHEN HE BEGAN HIS FIGHT.

I don’t believe Capt. Faeldon was arrested last night. Unless i see him presented to the public. It could be a psywar on the part of the military. At any rate, if the arrest is true……..I guess the time has come……for a new day dawn. Hindi papayag ang sambayanang Pilipino na mamatay ang laban para sa bagong Pilipinas. Oras Na!!!!

As what the report said, Capt. Faeldon was captured…ok, if what the “Evil Empire’s” military is saying true..then we would see soon enought Reyna Gloria and her “groupies” in television announcing “their triumph”…it doesn’t matter HOW HE GOT CAUGHT (if indeed he got captured)…be it that a large sum of (people’s money) was used as “reward”…or just a “die-hard loyal (to the Evil Empire)” person or persons “turned him in”…the question now is, WHERE DO WE (the common people) GO FROM HERE? Are we as a NATION are just really WAITING for another “NINOY” to come and give himself to “MARTYRDOM”, before we ACT as ONE in DOING ALL POSSIBLE WAYS to try and TAKE-OUT the “self-illusioned” QUEEN of the PALACE? I think NOT, next week would already be February, the month some 20 years ago we had the “REAL PEOPLE POWER”, it would also be next week that Gloria’s “unglorious” E-VAT would take effect, another “nail” to add on the “CROSS” that is “hardship” that majority of our people are suffering courtesy of thie “Evil Empire”. So, now is really the time…but if we all stay as “fence sitters”, I guess the real question now that would go into the likes of Capt. Faeldon’s mind would be “are the filipinos REALLY worth dying for?”

The CAPTURE of CAPT FAELDON is NOT the END, BUT ONLY THE

BEGINNING OF THE FIGHT !!! Let us PRAY for the

IMMEDIATE OUSTER, REMOVAL by any MEANS of the FAKE

    PRESIDENT NUNDAK – GLUE-RIA !!!! ALIS DYAN !!! PWEH !!!

Paiikutin na naman tayo ng ating magiging mga tagapagligtas because they are of the same mold and values as the people that they will unseat by violent means. Their minds and soul were shaped by the same corrupt society and will therefore revert to what they are.

What we need is a total moral and spiritual regeneration. The shaping up of a new generation as far away as possible from the present generation to which most us sadly belong.

I will pick up from the appeal of Rep. Edmund Reyes during the impeachment trial: “Wala na bang natitirang mabuting tao sa ating bayan na mapagkakatiwalaan ng lahat at handang ibigay ang lahat at lahat na pati ang kaniyang buhay?” Let him come out before the people. Let all those na nag-aakalang sila ay mabuting tao at maaaring mapagkatiwalaan at hindi-hindi pagtataksilan ang bayan, let them come out to be elected and be chosen in a CLEAN AND HONEST ELECTION.

Let there be a long list from which the people can choose or reject. But let it be their choice. And let their TRUE CHOICE be PROCLAIMED the WINNERS.

Spartan: You asked if the Filipino is really worth dying for. I was able to talk to Capt. Faeldon when he was still in prison, long before his escape. We had an argument then about whether or not Filipinos are worth dying for. Until now his answer haunts me: It is not a question of worth. Even if the Filipino is NOT worth dying for, we have to die for him. Especially if he is not worth dying for. If you give up on him, and if everyone else give up on him, he may never know his own true worth. These are not his exact words, of course. But he made it clear to me that someone has to fight for the people, regardless of whether or not they’re worth fighting for, because it is when we stop believing, and hoping, that we truly lose the fight.
Let me also make it clear that he doesn’t intend to save the Filipino from himself: he just wants to prove to him that he can overcome his own limitations and rise above his situation. The government is not our enemy, he used to say. It is ourselves; we must rise above ourselves and move beyond our comfort zone to effect change.
This is why he said he does not want to lead: his goal is to empower the people, not to gain their support and use that support to gain power for himself. His dream is of an empowered citizenry, for only that can keep corruption in check. Only that can guarantee that government will serve the people.
He knows – and all those who support him, including myself – that we cannot effect such change overnight. The ouster of Arroyo was only the first step towards such a goal, for Arroyo has proven herself incapable of the reforms needed for such a government.

    Norie,

    Thank you for your info.

Am happy to note that there’s at least ONE military officer who is honest.

Per Norie’s post above somewhat quoting Faeldon: “It is not a question of worth. Even if the Filipino is NOT worth dying for, we have to die for him. Especially if he is not worth dying for.”

Beautiful heart-felt feelings spilling out in noble words. Reminds me of someone else who “while we were yet sinners . . . died for us.”
